Toki glared at Arkayid "I am not a babysitter. It's bad enough I'm forced to keep an eye on this lot, but you are not running off and leaving me alone with a random girl. Though I;'m grateful, the fact you consider leaving a stranger alone with me, that is not a friend to my Mistress, is quite shocking. I really don't suggest it. Mind you I wouldn't do anything, But I see no reason to defend her for your sake."

"So tell me. How much do you value your wings?" Arkayid asked dangerously calm. He was in no mood to take any arguments. Hell, anyone familiar with draconic physiology would find him quite agitated.
"I don't care who the hell you are. You could be Laos for all I care."
"Arkayid, settle down. Please..." Kayla pleaded with him. He acted as if he didn't even hear her.
"Besides... Nothing says you have to watch her. Hell, you can leave. But look at it this way... I'd hold you responsible if anything happened to her."

"And what will holding me responsible do? Causing me harm would be to break Mistress Mimi's heart, you wanna see her cry?" he asked angrilly and glanced at Kayla sighing slightly
Mimi had woken up in all of this "Toki are you being nice?" "Misstress Mimi...I" "Are you causing Mr. Arkayid problems?" she asked sounding angry.
Toki bit his lip "Yes..I apologize." "Arkayid I'll go with you. It'll give him reason enough to protect her and I can be of help." she murmured "I can freeze things afterall."
"Mistress you can't...I'll watch her just please don't put yourself in harms way."
"Not this time Toki. It won't work. Besides I wanna help. Can I please help Arkayid?"

"Toki, you have a lot to learn. No one cares except for your loved ones if you cry or not. I've seen that, somewhat. And no, Mimi, why would I not accept your help? Come, It's a bit of a hike, and it'll probably take a while to get there. I fear the only thing we're going to find there is a fight by now."
Arkayid left the cave, and started walking in a north-eastern direction.
((Sorry, but I have to go. I'll respond to whatever when I can. I'm in trouble. twisted ))

Mimi nodded and bounced up following after Arkayid quietly "I apologize about what Toki said. He's usually not so heartless...I wonder why he's in such a bad mood. Mr. Arkayid...what's it like to have a mom?"
---
Toki watched Mimi leave his eyes filling with sadness and he glanced at Kayla "i apologise....what I said was inappropriate and I shall do anything I can to make your stay here enjoyable an safe until they return." he murmured bowing "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss. Kayla."
(What the heck did you do?)

Luna had been in a slight sleep, more of what the druids would call 'Peace' since they never actually slept. She had slightly listened to the conversations, but not much. The ups were fine, they had been playing a little bit with one another, then fell asleep. It looked like they all seemed to just flop down in place and fall asleep, it was always funny to see. Opening her eyes, Luna looked at 'Kayla', but then to Toki.
Her silence was bentiful for only herself most likely, but the pups were going to have to find a new mother, except the smallest. She would have to care for that one, but for now, she was happy with just sitting up in place, not moving. Felt like she was going to turn into a tree... before unleashing that strange spell, she stopped herself as well from using the magic to meld with the stone. She forgot how little control she had over these things for now, unless she met another Druid, she wouldn't have much control anyway.

"Huh? Why wouldn't you know?" Arkayid asked. That was a revelation. He had heard of kids being abandoned and everything but still, everybody had to have had a mother. Something with procreation, Mother had said when he asked that question. Whatever that meant, didn't matter at the time.
When Mimi and Arkayid arrived, Arkayid immediately went prone, and crawled to the edge of the bush. Much of the town had been burned down, smoke and ash flittered through the air.
"Dammit, we're too late." Arkayid growled. He removed his bow and quiver from his person, and strapped his shield onto his arm.
"Well, you've got two choices. You can either charge in with me, or look for survivors."
-------
"I don't think there's much you can do, Master Toki. I'm just worried for Arkayid. Even when he was little he was hot-blooded. I remember he was always a problem when rough-housing with the other kids. He's much stronger then he looks. Hell, I'm sure he could probably hike with three or four of us on his back, and he would have some issues, but not many."

I don't remember my mom...or my dad...it was so long ago...when they died...it's all my fault... she thought quietly.
"I'll go look for survivors. I'm not that reat at fighting." she murmured softly, but a slight determination entering her voice.
----
"First off...it's just Toki. Not Master Toki. I may be a mage, but I like my name without any silly titles that mean nothing. As for him...I don't doubt he's strong. He's related to Auren and Alhana(sp?). Of course he's strong...and hot-tempered." ztoki rolled his eyes slightly and glanced at Luna.
"Miss. Kayla, this is Miss. Luna. Is there something I can do for you Miss. Luna? Mr. Arkayid left just a few momwnts ago with Mistress Mimi to go help the village this girl is from."

"I do not require anything at the moment, but I am guessing I will have to do something about the pups. I cannot take care of them, and the smallest is the source of my worry..." She smiled kindly though and stood, "It is good to meet you, Kayla. You can just call me Luna if you wish, doesn't matter to me, as long as you don't say, 'Druid', I'm fine, its an insult to be thought of so...." She didn't finish her sentance, there were druids who caused only evil in the world, and she guessed many now...

"Okay Mimi, holler for help if you need it. I'll get there as soon as I can..." Arkayid said quietly. He stood up and dashed to the burned town to slide against a burned out house... sneaking along the edge, he looked around the corner to find a large group of bandits still in town... with bodies of men and boys but very few women.
The next thing he saw made him almost lose his lunch. Sliding down the building, he knew that there was little he could do, other then avenge them.
I have no choice. It's either I do it and die trying, or I do it. There are no other options. Drawing his greatsword, he spoke a few incantations to make the blade sharper then what he could do with whetstone.
Taking a deep breath, he stepped out and walked into the courtyard. What were full of the marauder's jeering, turned to silence and then growls. Arkayid held himself motionless except for taking one motion, and that was to open his wings and close them, obviously revealing to them that he was of draconic nature, and most definitely not to be trifled with.
He had done it in the hopes that it would scare them off, but most of them got their act and clothing together, and were growling at him.
Am I really ready for this? Am I really like my father?

((WHHHHEEEEEEE!!!!!! DDDOOOUUUBBBLLLEEE PPPOOOSSSTTT!!!))
Alhana heard Jasper load his crossbow, and turned to look at him. Granted she couldn't arch an eyebrow at him, so she did her best and cocked her head to the side. "Jasper. Put the Crossbow away... you reaalllyyy don't need it. If something DOES come after us, your crossbow wouldn't do much. Also, move your sword, it's scratching RIGHT between two scales. That'll itch for a week, and since you're on my spine, it's not like I can scratch it or something."
"Everyone settled? Good." With that, Alhana stood up from her crouch, and unfurled her sail-like wings, starting to gain altitude, once she was suitably high enough, she started moving forward from her hover, and pointed towards Domachi.

Kernyel was thrilled! The wind rushing around her and Alhana's beautiful body reflecting sunlight in a myriad of sparks; it was like a dream. Her face was the picture of joy. She was doing marvelous until she looked down by chance. After that, she clung to Alhana for all she was worth and prayed to whatever god would listen that she be set down soon and safely....
((Sorry so short!))

Green eyes watched as the creature flew off into the distance. Her master would not be pleased...no indeed. However, considering all she had to tell him...She continued to watch it until it was gone from her sight. She had much to tell him...she would be rewarded for sure.

Jaster looked at Alhana with a stern face, almost as if he wanted to say that he, not her, was the defender here, but then realized that not only was she not helpless, she could very easily drop him without a second thought. He grinned, and only said, "As you wish, milady." He unlatched the bolt and pocketed it, then hooked the bow to his waist. He moved the broadsword just a bit, so it wasn't on her back, and enjoyed the wind rushing through his hair. He watched Kernyel, but then tired of it; she neither spoke nor moved, she was frozen in fear. He looked down, and watched the scenery fly by. At this rate, they'd make their goal in the hour.

An hour by dragon-flight practically meant you were somewhere else by the end of that hour. Alhana was actually moving quite leisurely, if she felt the need to, she could push herself, but for the comfort of her friends, she had decided that maybe moving a lot faster would result in sick stomachs, sullied scales, and a scent that would not get off of her for weeks.
Arkayid staggered back, slipping off the scythe blade that had penetrated his armor and scales. The damned bandit leader, a Larknam, grinned wickedly, the star-shaped scar twisting in a disgusting fashion laughed at Arkayid's sorry state. Of course, said sorry state was caused by him catching two arrows, one hitting with precision right between the armor plating between his shoulder pauldron and breast plate. Arkayid had returned that arrow with such power that the man practically shattered. The archer was strewn about the building he was standing in front of, and the second arrow punched through the heavy guage steel on his left thigh, but his armored scales had stopped the arrowhead. Arkayid returned that arrow in similar fashion, and it had overpenetrated the man to nail him to the wall behind him. The archers soon learned NOT to shoot arrows at him.
The man laughed cruelly, and looked down at Arkayid, who had went down at one knee.
"So... Half-dragon, where's your power now?" He asked with a sneer. Arkayid breathed deeply, he had gone beyond pain at this point and looked at him with a grin. "You want to see it?" He asked breathlessly. The scythe had also cut into a lung, which made breathing difficult, and he could feel it flooding with his own blood.
"See it? No. Your ill-fated rescue attempt is your end." He said while swinging the scythe down. Arkayid did something the man had not expected. He had rolled backwards, heedless of a damaged lung and various wounds, and sprang up to meet Larknam's scythe with devastating force, where sparks showered the combatants.
"Too bad, Larknam, you've already lost." Arkayid said quietly. Larknam looked down to find that Arkayid had planted a knife in between two of his ribs. Larknam looked down at up, looked at Arkayid with a quizzical expression, and looked down again. Arkayid had noticed the man had NOT gone pale as one would expect. Instead he pulled out the knife which was bloodied, yes, but no blood exploded outwards with such removing of the dam known as a knife.
"No, my good comrade, you have." Larknam said with dangerous brutality. Arkayid only blinked once before the scythe entered his body again, completely ignoring his armor, to damage something else. What, Arkayid did not know, but he did not try to stop the loss of consciousness that came with such a blow.
