"You are to me," he replied, but he let it go. Rocky rather preferred that Jolly Roger find his hooving, as it were, and it seemed the pirate was just about ready to do that.
A slow, pleased grin formed at the Captain's words, using his power to tip his hat. "You'd have me?" he practically hummed the words, flitting his small tail with delight. "I'd be the very worst pirate, but if there are worse fates than getting growled at by you every day." He seemed to lose his persona again, grey eyes bright with intrigue.

Their entourage truly sounded like something from a fairy tale, at least the way Confetti Daze had explained it. Though it went unmentioned, Confetti was clearly the heroic adventurer! The "fair maiden" straightened up slightly, as if to try and fit the profile offered by her colt-friend. However, her composure did not remain when he suddenly shouted about a new feature that had been overlooked.
"Cheese... fountain...?"
At the nice steady trot that Totoro had been using, they approached the wondrous sight. The cheese was glistening and brilliant orange, a color that was perfectly appropriate for a Halloween party.
It took her a moment to acknowledge Totoro's query, but eventually the filly chirped "Oh, right!" With her hooves, she scooted the chips onto the table near the fountain of queso before sliding off the forest guardian's back. Then she grabbed a chip and stuck it in slowly into the stream of cheese flowing down.
This was an important test.

The dark umber colt frowned at Hook's curt answers but seemed to take the hint. He wasn't all that interested in finding out where he worked, anyway. It wasn't like he planned to go out and get a job; not while there were so many video games to play and conquer.
He rolled his eyes at the question about the arcade. "I guess those are kinda video games, but they're nothing like the sort where you can sit and play at home with. Sometimes you can connect with people online and play over the internet, too. But just like arcade games, they're electronic games you play with a monitor and controls.
Tilting his head, he asked, "Haven't you ever played any video games with other foals before? Or any kind of games? Do you go to the arcade a lot?"

These were easier waters to navigate. He could do this. Jolly Roger was a pirate with his own ship and his own crew, he could have a simple conversation with a handsome stallion and not make a fool of himself.
"I’d turn you into a fine pirate," he promised, looking the cowboy up and down. His size combined with a small makeover to make him look the part of a fierce pirate would be more than enough to strike terror into the hearts of landlubbers... plus, he’d be useful for carrying things around. "Aye, I’d have you."
It took two beats for his own words to sink in.
His brain stopped, his body froze and he hoped the other wouldn’t notice the insinuation.
With a quirk of her head Error gave a snicker at the other mare's catch of the day comment. "Well, i better be taking advantage of what time i have then," she purred, coiling around the other mer like a snake.
"I don't spend much time in the lake. My equipment for my job isn't really waterproof. That and my parents are land dwellers." She murmured, body making s curves in the air in time to the beat. She turned her glowing eye onto the other female and smiled, "would you prefer if i visited the lake more often?"

Cotton nodded at Smooth Swing as he furthered his point. "We are at a party this is true. But it's so much fun to plan and have MORE parties!" she giggled. However at the mention of the banana goal, Cotton paused and glanced around. Where had he gotten off too? And then an idea struck.
"OOOOH! What if you just had him sit on your head! He's dressed as a banana, he's technically fruit heehee." she giggled as she glanced at the siblings in turn. First the adorable sprinkle cow then the macaroon hatter. The idea seemed sound to her! And totally adorable!
However her attention shifted back towards the Pegasus as he approached her and bowed, asking her to dance with him. Gasping softly, Cotton smiled, raising a hoof to her muzzle. "I would be honored to share a dance with the Captain." she nodded, holding out her gloved hoof towards him.
Snagging a small chip for herself, Totorodansen thrust it forward into the fountain of cheese, watching a s the stream split around the chip beneath it, cheese piling up on top of the chips surface. "Dear not, I'll test it first to make sure it is safe for consumption!" she nodded determined. Though she knew it was safe for eating or it wouldn't have been served, they were on an 'adventure' and she was the mighty guardian after all. Albeit this wasn't a forest per say.... Shhhh details!

With the once-over, Rocky was near preening, shifting his withers and his forelegs as if to give a better idea of what was going on beneath all the clothes. It was unusual for him to be so covered to begin with, but he was draft; it's not like he could hide all his build.
Unfortunately, he entirely caught the insinuation, and that it was said in response to his own. A grin formed, quick and easy and all too joyful, but he didn't pin the words to the Captain. No, he wanted to show interest, not be an (entirely -- okay, mostly) immature prat that howled over wordplay. He knew what Jolly Roger said, and the pirate knew damn well what he said, and what was a Phony whose word was not their bond?
"That's good to know," he remarked instead, looking terribly pleased with himself, as if the pirate had, in fact, said much more than the words shared. "I'm a good one to have. You wouldn't regret it." There was that small bit of prat peeking out, the way his grin was a bit uneven, the mischievous glint in his eyes.
But it passed, and Rocky pretended to be a functioning adult once again. "You'll have to give me a private tour of your ship sometime." He did want to see what Jolly Roger called his own, to pick out the nuances that made it 'home' for the other -- but those thoughts were far away for the moment. The reality was, he was all about said moment. "'m just glad you'd opt to keep me instead of haul me overboard~"
Now this was the kind of thing that made a party worth going too. Sure Bubble liked the costumes, but finding cute company? Party goal game, set, and match. Still, she was a bit shocked (haha) to hear that her fellow mer lived on land, though she had a very good reason as to why. "Oh, sorry, I just well. I assume. I prefer the water. My mane just doesn't look as fabulous as it does with that certain shimmer the sunlight gived through the water you know? As for visiting-" A hoof tapped to System's. "Well have been needing a good excuse to come up more often you know, and I'd hate to have you damage your equipment."
She giggled. "Then you'd never want to swim down to see me."

Though she already had a chip that was doused in cheese, Out of Orbit didn't eat it right away. Totoro had declared she would taste her chip to make sure things were safe.
Why would it not be safe for consumption? The filly's innocent mind began to mull over the notion of unsafe cheese.
Was it maybe too hot? The more the wide-eyed Filly thought about it, the more that possibility made sense. Cheese didn't just melt for no reason. Cheese required heat to melt.
So rather than nibble on her cheese adorned chip, Out of Orbit instead meekly offered "Please, Totoro, make sure it is safe!"

Clearly Totoro is doing this from the bottom of her heart, and not because she is hungry ;P

The white pegasus couldn't help snorting in amusement at Cotton's suggestion of having the banana colt sit on Macaron's head. He wondered what the two of them thought of the idea. "Sounds like an idea suited to a mad hatter," he commented, unable to help himself.
Swing chuckled lightly at Cotton's reaction to his request. It was nice to actually feel like he was the superhero he was dressed as, though he really wasn't sure he deserved it. "I hope I don't step on your hooves," he said shyly, feeling the heat rise back to his face as he took her gloved hoof in his. "I'm not the best at dancing, but I try. If I had my saxophone here, I think I'd have preferred to join in playing music instead. At least that way I'd have been less likely to make a fool of myself."
He did his best to lead, thinking before asking, "I don't suppose you hold a lot of balls in your Moon Court, do you, Princess?"

Jolly Roger was grateful the other stallion didn’t take advantage of his slip of the tongue. He had been braced for it, ready to weather the storm (and probably excuse himself for another bathroom break) but other than a grin that seemed knowing, the other's response was tame. It only made him more endearing, even if that glint in his eyes was slightly worrisome. As if the ‘I’d have you’ would crop up again in conversation another day, never forgotten.
His ship, his pride and joy; The Flirty Mermaid. Only with the mention of showing her off, the mere thought of setting sail, out into the water and away from the madness of Halloween and costumes and interactions that were rockier than a dinghy in a storm, did he make an expression other than scowling or confusion.
He smiled.
A brief flash, a crinkling around his eyes, full of fondness.
"Aye, I’ll do that. She’s a real sight," he promised. The thought occurred that they could go now. Do away with this place and seek the comfort of his familiar home. His crew would either be asleep by now or out and about, enjoying the night. It would be embarrassing, certainly, if he was caught bringing someone home again, but it wasn’t as if he’d be doing anything more than showing off his pride and joy. "Might still toss ya overboard," he joked as he considered the possibility. "The night is young."

Hook Slash smiled. "I do play there often. When I am not working." He listened to his explanation with intent. So many new things he has found out about. He's glad he came to this party. He has already had so many interesting events happen to him. He even got a Cat to be his new friend. He thought a bit. "I do not play with others. No I had no idea. It sounds like fun." He smiled. "I played hide and seek a few times.

Confetti was beyond pleased that his friends were just as happy as he was about this fountain of cheesy goodness. He pronked about a bit chanting and singing some ridiculous song he'd just made up on the spot, "Cheese cheese cheesey cheese, get in my tummy if you please... and if you don't please I'm sorry to say, I'm going to eat you any-ways!" Falling over in a fit of giggles, he watched as the two started dipping the chips, only for the little filly to hesitate over it's safety.
Jumping to his hooves at another chance to be a good friend, "Oh! I'll check!" he yelped and grabbed the nearest edible thing off the table, which just so happened to be a strawberry. With little hesitation, he dipped the juicy fruit in the flowing cheese and then dropped the whole thing into his mouth. Oooooh, it was amazing! Chewing in rapture, he tried not to get cheesy-juice on everyone as he called out, "It's safe and so goooooood... mmmmm...."
Grinning at her little back companion, Caramell nodded bravely, this already being her plan. She drew back her hoof, bringing the now cheese flooded chip up to her muzzle. Taking in a good whiff, Caramell licked her lips. Mmmmmm it smelt so good!
Opening wide, Caramell brought her chip up to her mouth and then......
"What?!!" she blinked, watching as Confetti shoved a strawberry into the cheese fountain then shoved the entire thing into his mouth whole. She winced, crunching one eye together as a tingle went down her spine. That had to taste......interesting for sure....
"Interesting... Choice.... But, if Confetti says it's safe then I trust him! " she laughed, shoving her chip into her mouth and chewing. A loud mmmmm sound from her throat as she reached for yet another chip and shoved it into the cheese fountain, soon followed by another and another. "Oh yeah it's totally safe! she declared, realizing she was a little mor hungry than she had previously thought.
