You find the scientist's beloved stapler lying discarded on the ground. Reaching down to pick it up, the scientist leaps on your back and beats at your head, screaming, until you manage to shake them off. Take 3 dmg, do +2 damage with your attack.
The bought of numbness was quick to leave , but it was telling of how jarring the moment had been. Nictor firmly reminded himself that Beehemoth was here and wouldn't let anything truly bad happen to him. As long as Bee was here, Nictor would be fine. Of course, Nictor wasn't too happy about the hits Bee was taking.
But this kind of thing happened sometimes, and Nictor already knew that the best thing he could do was keep out of the way. He kept his back to one of the desks and began skirting around, seeing if he could sight the scientist coming at them.
Wait, was that Kolako and Papilion he just saw? Nictor turned to get a better look through the doorway he glimpsed the pair through, only to stumble on something. Glancing down, he noted it had been a stapler.
Apparently that stapler was quite precious to the deranged scientist and caused him to leap from the cabinets he'd bee crawling on to attack. Nictor tried not to look too much at the assault as he dove forward to get away while Bee dove after the scientist, intent on fighting the troll into submission.

Another damn successful raid. Luxara walked in almost whistling. Moving and grooving was always good for her mood. She continued to still feel pretty great even as she caught sight of some unexpected malarkey. Trolls and lusii alike were attacking a scientist. No one was stopping any of them, either. She squinted.
At first she wondered if it was a hemospectrum thing, but the more she watched, the more she heard from the scientist. They seemed to be lashing out, yet delusional. There was a mess piling up, too. Seemed like a bit of a problem. Despite her doubts, Luxara stepped in, crossbow in hand. At the very least she might be able to quiet the dude down.
Caiden is attacking the Rogue Scientist! If you rolled a 5, you corner the scientist. After you both shuffle around for a few minutes, they leap forwards, trying to wrap their coat around your head, while also biting themselves in the arm. You land on the floor in a jumble of wriggling limbs, trying to free yourself from their mad embrace. Take 3 dmg, do +2 damage with your attack. Take 3 dmg. Dealt 3 damage HP: 11/20
Caiden squealed, he didn't know quite what to do! Him and the scientist were staring at eachother, the scientist had his back to the wall and was not happy about it. Caiden tried to talk to the man, maybe make a friend or something. "Hey... Uh, my friend Engrav is kinda a scientist like you,i bet if you guys meet you would find lots to talk about! Why not just, uh, go have a cup of tea? I know a great little place, right up in busthind!" While Caiden was trying to talk to the troll, it sprung at the brownblood, and wrapped its coat around Caiden's head. Caiden squealed and flailed on the floor.
Caiden is attacking the Rogue Scientist! If you rolled a 1, you see the scientist scuttling around in the shadows, scribbling on the floor. The scene they're illustrating seems to involve a lot of flames, and exploding bits of metal. As you creep up on them, they spin around and point a crayon at you. As you stare them down, they leap forwards, ramming the harmless writing implement hard into your eye, causing you to see stars and pain. Take 5 dmg. Take 5 dmg. Dealt 3 damage HP: 6/20
Caiden saw the scientist hunched over something. It looked like he was drawing?! Caiden managed to sneak a peek over their shoulder and his eyes lit up. "WOW!! You like to draw?! THATS SO COOL! We should totally get together sometime and DRAW TOGETHER!" Unbeknownst to Caiden, his yelling actually agitated and surprised the scientist more. The older troll flailed around, and Caiden managed to not get hit too many times, but did receive quite a few hits. Caiden snuck back into a corner and started to sing to himself. What was that song Xavior had taught him? The brownblood tried to remember.

She observed from a distance as the scientist chose to write on the ground. They wouldn't sit still enough for a good shot! Luxara stayed in place, lining her shot, thinking the troll hadn't noticed her presence. Why would she, with everyone else going at them. She inched in for a perfect shot, and was quickly rewarded by the troll leaping at her. She fired on reflex, but that didn't stop them from trying to stab her in the eye.
Luxara jumped back with a scream. They attacked hard, but after all her life experiences, she recovered from pain pretty well. It took her a moment to realize she hadn't been stabbed officially, no blood, no blindness.
They wanted to play dirty? All righty. She crouched and reloaded.

With her eyepiece in place, Luxara went from great to perfect. Quickly, effortlessly, she took two shots while the scientist was scurrying about. Bam. And...bam! She smiled under the fabric over her face, then stared pacing about, trying to find another angle to fire from. She needed to keep moving anyway. It kept the scientist from getting close to her, and she had to keep out of other trolls' way.
Weird, though, that it was taking so much to take one troll down. It was just a scientist, right? They looked so noodly. Ganyma could probably fold the dude in half! They needed more muscle on their side, clearly.
You are assigned to a team of researchers, who pool their thoughts together and come out as a stronger unit!
Okay, maybe fetching coffee had been a bad idea, because now they really wanted him to start thinking with them. Though he knew he was clever, Rastin just didn't give too much of a ******** about the majority of this. Hell, he wasn't even remotely clear about why he was here to begin with outside of peer pressure and a strange want for friendship. He'd completely lost sight of those people, too, which made him even more uncomfortable.
He let the group chatter on around him and tried to nod when something made sense, but he kept his thoughts to himself. Most of it was about wanting to go home and never do this again, anyway. Being social like this was so incredibly draining on his psyche.
You go out into the town with a loudspeaker on a trundlebuggy and GET! EVERYONE! PUMPED!
Kolako decided she needed a little break from getting her and Papi's butt kicked by that scientist guy. She was getting fed up of him and his crayons, and nothing said break like going out in the city and doing stuff!! Papi came along as well, due to her not wanting to go out alone and feeling a little more conscious of the trolls around them after with what happened with Eridia. Kolako nudged the trundle buggy toward the town with Papion trailing behind her, gaining some awkward looks from the trolls around them. She merely grinned. "WE CAN DO THIS GUYS!! SOMOS REALLY AWESOME!!!! WHOOOOO!"
Rastin attacks Imperial Beaurocrat Bots! You are ensnared by a bot. You cleverly ask if their presence infringes section 4921 of conduct B234G43, addressing overcrowding in dangerous working conditions. The bot stands there, motionless, for a long moment, making mechanical noises. It explodes, shooting flames into your face. Take 1 dmg, and 1 damage each roll until support power is used and the flames are put out.
Rastin hadn't expected anything like this, but then again, what kind of homebody would? The bot seemed to come from out of nowhere and grabbed him by the collar, sputtering some nonsense about forms and authorizations. What was he supposed to do? He wiggled, grunted, and bit his lip as it's grip tightened. He had to think of something, he wasn't about to let this heap of junk hold him like this!
"Excuse me, but aren't you infringing on section... 4921 of conduct B234G43?" He asked, his eyes wide with fear. "You know.... Addressing overcrowding in dangerous working conditions?"
He watched as the robot paused, seemingly confused by the question, and felt it's grip loosen on his shoulder. However, just when he thought he could get away, the bot started to shake and burst into flames! He tried to duck, but found himself surrounded by fire, and could do little but scream for help as his skin started to burn.

It happened again, not even two feet from where the last bot exploded. Rastin cowered against the wall, the arm of his cloak the only thing keeping his face from getting singed, and shrieked when the second bot combusted before him. This robot hadn't even nabbed him, all it took was seeing the remains of the other robot for it to malfunction. How the hell was he supposed to get out of this? The way out of the room was completely blocked by smoke and flames! He'd be cooked alive for sure!
"Help, someone!" He cried, pinning himself as close to the wall as possible. "I'm trapped without an exit, please!"

Sometimes people make mistakes. Sometimes people make the same mistakes twice. Luxara let herself get caught up in looking for her friends- she hadn't found Rera yet, and thought she caught sight of Etsali but... Well. It made her glance away from her target. Bad move. She knew better, technically, that turning her head was enough to get the scientist on top of her again.
Luxara, despite her age and wisdom, opened that loophole anyway. She keeled under the surprise nerd weight with a grunt, kicked, and pushed, until she could get on her feet and shoot a shaky shot. Not her best, not something to be proud of.
The scientist waited for no troll. All help just made them lash out. Even Leeroi, using his words, didn't get anywhere. Hemera took that as a sign to try to get help while the blueblood tried to wrangle the older troll. She rushed through the hub, trying to find someone, anyone who might be able to help. However, there were few to be found. With work at a stand-still, lots of trolls seemed to be missing. She grit her teeth. Timing! The worst! Timing!
With a huff, Mera returned to the room sometime later. She could have asked any old drone, but there might be a lot of debris. They needed to minimize the collateral damage! With seemingly no one of proper use able to help, it would be up to the volunteers. Fine. Hemera joined the fray again, though keeping great distance when she could.
Mahmud HADILL SESHAT is fighting the ROGUE SCIENTIST
Just as he and Poe had reached the mess hall, a loud commotion began and many trolls shoved the boys aside. It turned out a scientist down the hallway was having a meltdown. "It makes sense to go there I guess," Mahmud told his friend. "I mean... everyone's going to be over there. After the scientist is dealt with, maybe we can talk to one of them?"
So the boys went to get their respective lusii (and Mahmud spent some time playing with Poe's mom's fluffy wool, oh god was it fluffy) and showed up at the battle.
"Ommy, be careful okay?" "Coo! Coo Coo!"
According to Mahmud, his mother was always great at comforting people... so she tried to go in. You know, reason with the fella...
"COO! COOO!" And got attacked with a stapler instead. Ouch.
"O-OMMY! BE CAREFUL IN THERE!" Mahmud looked at his friend, panicked. "M-maybe your lusus could try... She seems nice." He scooched closer to Poe reflexively, since his mother was currently in the room trying to comfort someone else.
Poe rushed into the battle with Lanata. It was too bad they couldn't just do what they had been planning, but, battles were kind of exciting! A bit scary, and Poe remembered what happened last time he had gotten into a fight, ending up on the rebel's side...
Lanata went to confront the scientist, only to find him on top of a large machine, that began to tilt precariously with a loud creak. Poe anxiously wrung his hands, wanting to rush in and protect her, but looking to Mahmud he didn't want to upset him. He could feel him brushing against him. Was he scared? The machine crashed, landing on his lusus. "Oh!" Poe gasped, hearing the noise and moving quickly forward to push it off of her before she got crushed.
"Are you okay, Mama?" He patted her head where the fake horns were, glad they were still in place. She got up and bumped her forehead to him gently. He turned his head back to Mahmud and bit his lip. Poe couldn't leave her, if she got hurt because of him he wouldn't forgive himself. He could fight beside her, he could help! "Mahmud..."
You scour existing research for additional methodology and theory concerning Alternian architecture.
After moving around resources, Eilidh wanted to find a way to help more than just processing and transferring labor and materials. She moved to look through the existing research to see if she can find something that maybe someone missed. Her brows pinched together as she read, not really finding much new but enlightening herself some. She smiled as she continued to read, actually enjoying the methodology and theories she was reading about Alternian architecture. She looked to Papa Bear, "I think... I want to rearrange the hive when we are home." She smiled as she looked back to the books and files.
