The dark, at least, was a relief. Fidel kept his flashlight off, the knife of bright, blinding light only obscuring the welcome (sensible) amount of lighting.

He was glad not to have been tied to Index, who had criticised everything he had done the entire trip. And wouldn't stop calling him that horrible name.

"Fidel," he introduced himself to his partner. "Was your ankle injured? One of the rocks struck my shoulder. We can proceed in a slow and orderly fashion."

As they wandered, he could sense his partner's frustration. He didn't mind, feelers waving curiously into the fog. The oppressive, trapped feeling kept pressing over him, in spite of him finally being able to explore. It felt like being suffocated. The fog, he thought, something's the matter with the fog....

And then they were both free, and could breathe.

Had that rude student made it too?

He puffed, weight on his knees, to look over and catch a flash of neon. Yes, of course he had.

"Thank you," he said sincerely to his partner. "I'm hoping what's waiting for us is more unexplored woodland. Rather than...someone. Or a...group of dangerous someones."

Neovi kept her right arm tucked in close to her side, careful not to jostle it as she and her partner moved forward. "Shouldn't be too hard, right? Just got to not turn around. Easy peasy." The fey was half rambling to herself, really, by this point, but a bit of conversation wouldn't have been a bad thing either. "I bet we'll make it through first thing, even. How much you wanna bet we don't see that marked tree again?"

No sooner than she'd said it, the tree appeared ahead of them. "Or...huh."

Aurora smiled and said "Nice to meet you, Fidel." Aurora nodded and then laughed "Yea I managed to dodge falling rocks and dodge the swarm of bees, but I fell and hurt my ankle trying to climb the boulders." Aurora frowned "Sorry to hear that Fidel, I hope your shoulder feels better soon." Aurora breathed a sigh of relief as they finally got out of the fog. Aurora smiled at Fidel and then frowned and asked. "Is something wrong??" Then she turned her attention to his next words. "Your welcome." Aurora frowned dangerous someones?? Maybe now we've made it through it will be easier to figure out a way through again to explore more and figure out the mysteries of the woods."

There were so many lights popping up, but she couldn't see who was attached to each of the lights. She didn't really want to drag her partner around to much, but there was a light not too far away. Nashira reached out and and tried to see how far away they were and grabbed someone's shoulder.

Bridgette looked around too to make sure they were safe and nothing would jump out at them. She smiled as Tambre kept listening to her and talking to her about all this. "I'm glad you weren't injured too. It would have been terrible for more people to be injured. I already feel terrible about those who were injured. I hope they will be alright on the rest of the trip." She frowned a bit. "No. She used some kind of wrap to wrap her ankle up tight I hope that helps her. That's what she had on her to use." She smiled. "You seem to know a lot about first aid and what to do. I suppose that comes in handy with what you do. It must help out a lot."

She relaxed more when she felt the gentle squeeze and squeezed Tambre's hand back just as gently. It was a really nice comfort in this darkness to know someone else was there. Sure intellectually she knew Tambre was there because of the rope that connected them but it was still a comfort to feel the hand and knowing for sure Tambre was there. "Thank you." She nodded her head. "Yeah so do I. I think most have made it through but I'm not too sure. It's hard to tell who's made it through and who hasn't." She smiled glad they had made it out safely and were on the other side. Now it was time to wait for what Claire would tell them to do next and what else lay in store for them.

Nashira hadn't thought she was THAT close to anyone else. She just didn't want to run into anyone. But the shriek nearly caused her to scream as well. But then she caught the voice and could see the light reflecting on the grimm's features. "P-Patches?" She stammered in shock. "I- Oh goodness, I'm so sorry I scared you!" She apologized, then caught the other voice and peered into the dimly lit darkness. "...Azure!" She was glad to see the both of them, forgetting for a moment the person she was tied to. "I am very glad to see you both."

Grateful for the pep-talk - despite another failed attempt - Bebe did a 'thumbs up' towards her partner. "You're so right! What's the worst that can happen, right?" With that new burst of enthusiasm, she stepped confidently towards the barrier once more.
