Chiara did not bother saying anything after the queen's accusing words. Chiara's blood color was not up on the board, but that did not mean she was not invested in this already. The blueblood scoped the room, looking for Hazmas, she had some info for him. He was a smart guy, better to let him sort it all out, and then she could back him up if worst came to worst. Its not like talking out could get her into any more trouble tonight anyway, the hole was dug, time to enjoy it. Chiara briefly thought about her lusus Indica. It would be nice to have a meat shield. The troll's face furrowed at the thought. That stupid beast can stay outside where it belongs.

With a huff Chiara wandered, still looking for her friends. She was a little worried about Zindel. He had gone through a lot tonight. Well, a lot for the shy redblood at least. He better thank his horns he had her around. Chiara saw Eridia out of the corner of her eye and faltered a step. Not even all the duck-beast-tape in the world could be enough to turn things back the way they were with that troll. She was at a loss for words, in the haze of her own thoughts on the purpleblooded child.

Leeroi turned to Azrael and glared, looking him over. When had this a*****e arrived on the scene? He took a moment to glance around him, looking for Eridia. "Where's your girlfriend?" He asked darkly. He wanted nothing to do with the blueblood already, but if she was involved... He'd be willing to get into a second fight this night. But the coast seemed clear, and Azrael seemed genuine. Maybe he finally realized the true heroic path and this was his attempt at reconciliation? Regardless of all that, Leeroi needed clues. He could play nice with Azrael if it benefitted the greater good.

"Of course I am," Leeroi said flatly, "I'm ********." He half-turned, leaning on the table. "Put your clues up here. I'll get to 'em eventually." He went back to studying his notes. "You can look at the others' stuff, just don't ******** with s**t," he warned, shooting him a look. Just because his attention was on his own clues didn't mean he wouldn't be keeping a close eye on Azrael, too.

Pool resources? Share clues? ”Good idea!” she said enthusiastically – she'd given him a quick look over and she figured that, the way he was now, she could leave him for a few moments to go find likely people. Smart people. Not that she wasn't smart, obviously, but it was always good to gather minds and share information. Whether she felt that way because she was smart or raised by a swarming collective of cockroaches, however, it was hard to say.

One of said swarm of cockroaches appeared on her shoulder, as if from nowhere, followed by a few more, and then a few more – such was the way of the swarm. Many voiced, they scolded her for ditching them. That was not good of her.

”Sorry, Ma. But I had to investigate. And now its time to put it to use.” she said, smiling at them fondly, ”So if you could, you know, not cluster me for a little bit longer... I mean, I'm fine, Ma.” she insisted, ”Leeroi's there, and if something should happen, he'll protect me. So I'm fine and I will be fine and you really really don't need to cluster me, 'kay?”

Ma'am considered. Pheromones mixed into the air of the hive, signaling that the swarm had found its charge and summoning it to the correct place. Once there was a quorum of roaches, Ma'am considered it further.

Fine.

”Oh, thanks ma!” Pyskgi said, kissing one of the roaches, ”You're the best! I'll get you a rotting cantelope when we get home!” And, as she looked up from her lusus cuddling, she saw...

Oh! Azrael! Perfect! He was very smart, and observant, and scientific! She was just about to go over to him, when he, wonderfully enough, came over to her! ”Oh, hello Azrael!” she said cheerily, ”Well gosh, you know, if you have some notes of your own, you should add them in! It would be a big help, give us a big picture view, you know?”

Which... reminded her. ”Have you seen Hemera Moachm around?” she asked, searching for the tealblood. She seemed to be smart and rational (which possibly meant she had a hidden temper?) and would be a great help here! ”I think she could add some valuable ideas.”

Ma'am watched, observing, neutrally, that her charge was assembling yet another team of highbloods. While not posessing much capability to analyze the situation, the swarm understood enough, in its alien way, to think something along the lines of oh dear...

Oh Leeroi... she thought fondly, he was actually being very pleasant, considering who it was. She admitted to a brief scan of the room for a certain lavenderblood and possibly strategic avoidance of a certain line of sight... She was having a good time, Lee was feeling better, and Eridia would just ruin everything. Ah, but to the business at hand, barring obnoxious purple clouds of aggravation. ”And... oh what was her name... There was a blueblood with a helix symbol... do you know her, Azrael?”

Azrael could feel the venom in Leeroi's words. Obviously he was still sore from the swamp. Maybe he should apologize for what happened? Would that even work,"I--- well, I lost her after a skirmish with Kursha and the fiasco with Gerard," He went quiet. Should he take this moment to apologize for the swamp or not? Try to connect with this troll. But, man, this was harder than he could have ever imagined. "Look, Leeroi... before anything else, I've been meaning to apologize for the swamp, if you'll accept it... umm, sorry," He let out a cough and then turned his attention to the clues. This had nothing to do with the investigation but he felt like he should say it, now it was time to move on.

Azrael set his notebook down on the table, "It's not in me to mess with evidence on such an important case," was leeroi insinuating that he would purposefully cause problems? Not when there was such an important case on the line. "Anyway, what are your thoughts so far?" The young blueblood looked at Psy and shook his head, "I don't know, but let me see if I can find her, I wanted to finish talking to Hemera anyway," Azrael said with a nod toward Psy. He was so glad that he could see her again. She was one of the more reasonable trolls he'd ever met and he adored that about her. "As for the other one, I'm not sure... I don't know who you could be talking about, but, I'll find Hemera once I'm finished with Leeroi,"

Once she saw the blueblood, Eridia went over to them and stopped her tracks before fully approaching him yet she could eavesdrop a bit. Eridia tried her hardest staying out of their sight and wondered why was Azrael with them and not her. He couldn't possibly be ignoring her because she didn't care to write back to him right? Instinctively she turned around and sighed. Of course he'd leave.

Traitors, they were all traitors. Maybe she could make her other blueblood friend apologize for her mistake so they could hang out and talk about the mission.
Leaving him there with those losers seemed like the safest option. Eridia thought she could ruin their night a bit, not that she didn't want to, but she knew that starting another commotion and possibly getting another scar would slow her down a bit. But.... She couldn't allow it. Her insides seemed to twinge, while she overheard part of Azrael's apologize as if he owed him one. "Was he dropped in a pit when he hatched?" She mumbled. Once Psygki spoke about Chiara, she rolled her eyes and headed towards the refreshments table. So that was their plan? Taking them away from her as revenge? Have they been plotting a comeback just like she had been doing after the swamp aftermath? Surely, they were. Eridia blinked back to reality and noticed she had strangled her cup while she thought of those trolls.

"You were right...."

Her lusus looked at her, holding her things while she sadly looked at the refreshment table.

"I shouldn't depend too much on anyone in this world." She mumbled once more. "Because even your shadow leaves you when you're in darkness." She served herself another drink as she thought over her clues and how could she approach them without them being all satisfied by her loneliness. She just needed to find someone else to be with and find some clues.

No big biggie. She could have a team of her own, one 200% better than them.Eridia walked past Chiara, nudging her before disappearing into the crowd.

She glanced again at the colorful group and exited the hivestream.

Psykgi smiled broadly, pleased at Azrael's apology. Not that she was sore about the swamp – after all, Azrael had been put into such a terrible position, between a fist and a hard, strangling place as it were. ”Well, I'll leave you two to clue untagling.” she said cheerfully, ”And see if I can't figure out where they went, okay?” Yes – she could leave them together for the time being.

And so she set forth, insects in her wake, to find a certain tealblood and... ah! There she was, the helix blueblood. Psykgi walked over, a spring in her step. ”Hello there!” she called to Chiara, ”Looking for someone? Or something?” she moved quickly to catch up to her, ”Some party, huh.” she waited for her response.

Leeroi watched Azrael carefully, arms folded and leaning on the table. He couldn't help but smirk at Azrael's apology, knowing that he was in the right. Walking closer to the blueblood, he clapped him on the shoulder and leaned in. "That's great, Azrael, that's great," Leeroi smiled wide at the blueblood, happy but with a twinge of ********. "I'm sure you're more useful with proper leadership," He said slowly, gripping Azrael's shoulder tighter. He waited a moment, watching Azrael's reaction. Then, as if nothing happened, he released him. "Now if you don't mind, I'm going to check on some things," he said, walking backwards with pep in his step.

Hemera's investigation hadn't been as enlightening as she'd hoped; every hour let it sink in more and more that being a detective is tough work. A murderer won't just coyly give themselves away. So far, the most she'd gotten out of the adults were opinions, dirt, drama, and hearsay. None of it lining up to an obvious answer. She had no more idea of who was responsible than when the night began. It was...disheartening.

She entered the central hivestem, the only notable difference than the last time she was around being that she had something with her. It was not like her jacket was thick enough to hide anything; instead, she carried it like the accessory it was, although a bit close to her and not really showing it off. She wasn't even sure if this, the only really interesting thing she received, would be of any use to the investigation...but at least it was real.

The tealblood gazed somewhat blankly at the kids she had seen before, clustered some together now. She was so deep in herself at the moment that she hadn't realized they had gotten together for clues.

Azrael was more than just a little surprised by the sudden clap to the shoulder and then subsequent tightening as Leeroi's grip grew tighter. Azrael tried to hold back the laugh that was dying to come out. Proper leadership, right, okay. Azreal couldn't help but find this very amusing, but whatever, he needed Leeroi's notes to get through this and he needed to keep people together. If that meant bowing to a p***k for the time being, he was going to do it. Being a leader wasn't everything. What was with squeezing his shoulder? Azrael wasn't sure if there was some kind of cue he was supposed to be picking up on or if it was just squeezing.

"Well, I hope that at the very least we can work together and put this whole situation to rest," Azrael said smiling a bit despite the pressure on his shoulder. Boy, did he seem so much happier suddenly. it was slightly disturbing to watch. "I'm going to look for Hemera and see if she'd like to join us,"Azrael saidWhen Leeroi finally let go and started backing away. "I'll check back later, Just... try not to get killed or something," he waved and turned around kind of glad that was over with. The thought crossed his mind that maybe this wasn't such a great idea, but he'd deal with the consequences later. For now, he needed to find Hemera.

Azrael wondered around the room looking for the tealblood and contemplating whether or not he should invite Kursha to partake in the clues with him and the rest of the kids. So deep in thought was he that he walked right past Hemera. Realizing that he'd passed the girl, he paused and turned on his heel. "Hemera! There you are!" Azrael walked forward and put his hand on her shoulder. "I was just looking for you, A handful of us are getting together to share clues, would you care to join us?" He hoped that she'd agree and come with them. Many heads would make light work or something like that. "is there anything I can help you with?"

With his final clues rolling around in his head, Hazmas entered the Hivestem just in time to hear her Majesty speech. Machim grunted enthusiastically, pleased to see so much of her charge's color on the clue board. His hording and vigilance had paid off and now he'd was in on this little private meeting of the Queen's!

'Not bad Haz!' she hooted, 'Not bad at all!'

Hazmas grinned broadly and made his way around the room. It was so crowded, he wasn't quite sure where to sit. He saw Chiara across the room and waved at her, though whether she saw him or not was debatable.

Somehow, Elidae made it back to the central hivestem, obviously in a frantic as everyone else seemed to be. So much running, so much panic! Finally, she was able to find an empty seat apart from other people so she could reflect on her findings.

In the rumpus block Tigwyn Ioyana, Shishi Schrad, Erilyn Awassi, and Mapuye Puchen are arranging themselves in the suspect chairs - none looking especially perky. They also don't seem to want to answer any more questions, as each will wave you away if you step up to them for more clue-pumping.

All trolls are gathering back at the central hivestem. Please submit your remaining clue claims via a quiet review within 2h of this post.
No more clues can be gathered after this point.

Alright, last few clues gathered, it was definitely time to finally head back and see what the rest of her team had found! Lorata scurried back into the hivestem and looked around for a familiar (and friendly) face, her investigations whirling around in her head. She was sure one of them would have something to make sense of everything with.

Eostre decided to lay out the few tangible clues she'd gathered early on in her investigation on a table, with a small neat note accompanying them about where she found it and her thoughts. She figured even though she wrote up on the board about the clues, that perhaps seeing them in person would help someone if they had matching or complementary clues.

ILLUSTRATED RAG:
"There's a simple white rag tacked onto the face of this dummy. It's an effeminate, cartoonish face with long fangs and sunglasses, drawn in purple marker."

Found this in the training block right after dinner. It was attached to a particularly distressed training dummy. It's clearly a caricature of Gerard Rutven. I'm unsure if this is just from a healthy kismesisstude or something more threatening. At the very least, I was unaware of any black feelings between Gerard and anyone who would frequent Erilyn's hive enough to use their training block. O3

SMALL NOTE:
"Amongst the towels, you find a pair of green athletic shorts with a small note in the pocket. Written on it is simply "epratt late on beetles" "

Found this in the training block right after dinner. In the laundry bin, I found this in a pair of green athletic shorts. Could implicate Erilyn, or one of their associates, if they are just carrying the message. Or just be a case of Epratt being a lousy borrower of beetles. O3

PLAIN ENVELOPE:
"There are a few pictures inside - images of an unrecognizable highblood troll caught in an unsavoury act, taken covertly."

Found this in the training block right after dinner. This was hidden inside the folded up athletic mats, in a small slit. This clearly looks like blackmail material to me. Someone went out of their way to get some dirt on this highblood, whoever they are. I'll need to take a closer look and see if I can figure out who they are. Any clues to their identity would be useful. O3
