Those 'hoot hoot hoot' were beginning to sound like 'shoo shoo shoo'. Nokomis had been yammering away about her time spent finding the last few fire spirits and soon got the feeling that perhaps the owl had had enough of her. "Well okay.. get some rest than."
The mare left, a little sad, but was right back to searching for a final Fire Spirit.

"Hello there little darling." Emerging after her glum visit with the resident owl she found herself a rabbit. The poor thing must have been slightly startled because it stared blankly at her, wrinkled it's little nose and bolted away.
"Poor thing." She murmured softly, but didn't allow the scene to delay her true purpose now.

A tilted head, and a hoot that echoed the initial greeting. Nokomis, though not one to hold grudges, stared directly at him and looked away.
The silent treatment would do just the trick!

1: You hear a small commotion by a stall selling fried hoppitywhoppets. Sure enough, you find a Fire Spirit in the form of a rodent, peering hungrily at the delicious confections on a stick, dusted with powdered fruit essences. Surely, it can't be -this- easy... Pyrefly trotted onward, bell jingling in a happy rhythm. But the tune was interrupted by an annoyed shopkeep staring downward at a little rodent. "You really don't learn, do you...?" She mumbled, taking the little mouse away from the stall, and for good measure, she coerced the keeper into a treat, "It might keep it away!" She said soothingly. She was rewarded with the confection, and even shared it with the disguised Fire Spirit. 4/5

The owl had become persistent! Perhaps he was going to apologize? The thought was a fleeting one. Nokomis fought hard, she wouldn't give in! The struggle was unreal though and upon a delicate reflection she finally gave the owl a smile.
One pleasant hoot sent her on her way, leaving both of them a happier individual.

6: You've found a skunk! It lifts its tail, but you manage to escape the odor in the nick of time. You dont find any Fire Spirits.A smell as rancid as death itself reached the mare's nose. Flicking her gaze toward the underbrush, she saw the white streaked foe meet her gaze. "Oh no..." With a whinny of outrage, Pyrefly turned tail and booked it out of there.

First the owl, than a rabbit.. the owl two more times, than of course we know what follows...
Nokomis was moving along quite well, in fact she had begun really taking in the world around her and truly enjoying it. If she wasn't to find any other Fire Spirits this would have made her just as happy. Suddenly she was halted! There was a quiver of leaves on the ground ahead of her, she smelled about and was excitedly greeted with a burning smell!
"A rabbit!?" Upon closer inspection she saw what was left of a Fire Spirit hide out and a cosy little rabbit that bolted as soon as he spotted her.

3: You find a giant tree with a hole inside of it.... Roll a 1d100Finally escaping her chaser, the mare let out a breath and stilled her heart. Just one more Fire Spirit and her quest would be done. She peered into the hole of a tree, hoping excessively that there was no skunks...

You've found a fox! It ignores you and goes about its business rather haughtily. How dare you! You dont find any Fire Spirits.All she was met with was a moody fox, who was busy digging deep into the roots. With a grumble, it peered at her and then continued it's business.

4: You find a tree with 4 tiny doors along its trunk...Roll a 1d4With a humph, the mare lifted her head from the hole, and continued her trek around the trunk. The tree was impressive in girth, and as she walked, her gaze spotted 4 little doors.

9: You found a rabbit! It wrinkles its nose at you before darting away.You dont find any Fire Spirits.Walking away from the door-ed tree, she pushed her way through scratching bushes, scaring a brown rabbit from it's hiding spot. It stopped only long enough to twitch it's nose, before darting away.

"Oh no."
Her initial reaction to the four doors ahead of her was complete disappointment. She hadn't had luck earlier with these things, what made her think she'd have luck now! "Enough." The mare snapped at herself. The negative energy surrounding her would have been enough to drown someone. With a quick, deep breath, Nokomis moved forward and tried the third door this time... and
.... nothing!
Foiled by the Fire Spirits Nokomis was now determined to find them. Her disappointment vanished and she was soon on the search again.
