Heidi heard the sound of pi pi she bound towards the sound. "Zag," she said confused when she noticed the space was empty. "Zigzag?" she said as she looked around and saw the humans going past her she heard the sound of Pi Pi so she ran to keep up with the humans.
Sunny sighed as she chased after her pokemon who seemed to like the idea of chasing after some elusive pokemon

Gormlaith stared at the spot where the shiny Dunsparce had been eaten by the Victreebel. She was slightly horrified at the sight but mostly she just wondered how long it would take for the eaten pokemon to be digested or if it had been swallowed whole like it appeared to have been or was it chewed? She continued these sort of musings for a while and finally noticed the peeping noise when Jorge motioned at her to follow. She quickly picked up her unused pokeball and followed after Jorge.

Eventually the two peeping things meet up. They elude pursuit for a little while more before finally they stop and people can approach them. When the nearby grass is pushed aside, people can see the little things are a pair of brightly-patterned Togepis, sitting in a nest in the grass, which is littered with bits of eggshell.
The two pokemon seem very wary though, huddling together and staring up at the people and pokemon around them with wide eyes. Perhaps you can think of a way to calm them down? Or maybe even entice them to come with you?
Togepi RP Contest Rules If you are interested in trying to capture one of the Togepis, post the following code with an RP description of how you’ll try to get it to come to you. Winners will be judged before events start tomorrow. Exact time is up to Qix, but will probably be sometime early afternoon EST. There will be two winners: top winner gets first choice, second gets the remainder. If you win, this will count for your one pokemon for the event, fair warning. However, as stated in the sign ups thread, you can trade or gift pokemon after the event. :3

Once Shaun saw the pokemon hiding in the grass, he told Joey, "There you go, they're Togepis! Far too small to eat you if they wanted to. And they look to scared to want to." He stayed well back from the little pokemon, far enough that it was actually hard to see them. He didn't want one, so it seemed best to give the little eggs their space. But he did want to see them, so he pulled out his larger film camera, turned its large zoom lens on the pokemon, and focused it. Oh, they had some pretty patterns on their shells. One of them actually reminded him of the kind of patterns on Easter eggs.

"Ohhhh..." Jaime gave a soft gasp at the sight of the two adorable, clearly nervous Togepis. She smiled at them, unused to such innocence. Glancing down at Doom, whose hackles were slightly raised with aggression, she shook her head. It would be refreshing to have a friend that was a bit less rigid. She signaled with her hand for him to stay where he was and not follow her. While she knew this was difficult for him, she grinned at the way he defeatedly flopped down onto his stomach, tail twitching. At least some of his training had stuck.
Jaime stepped forward as quietly as she could, stopping a few feet shy of the Togepis. She then lowered herself to the ground, easing herself into a sitting position on her knees.Leaning forward a bit, she spoke softly, "Hello, little ones. There's no need to fear. I know there are a lot of people here and that big bad Victreebel was definitely frightening, I promise you're safe. " It'd been a long time since Jaime had the opportunity to be tender towards a Pokemon. It was an unfamiliar area, but she certainly wasn't hating it. She simply wanted the Togepis to feel better, calmer. Perhaps they could work the same magic on her. Pokeball go! Preferences: Swirled, spotted

Mako's golden eyes slid over to the spunky Meowth who was so sure of itself, prancing along without a care, or concern. A healer, huh? Not much a Meowth could do, moves wise, in that aspect. But that didn't mean it couldn't help in other ways. Closing his eyes as though to mull over this new tid bit of information Hatch had given him, he finally resolved with a little curt nod, "That's a respectable line of work to work towards." that matter-of-fact tone had returned. One hand lifted from his tightly tucked arms, and waved in a dismissive way, tongue clicking the roof of his mouth in a tutting sort of sound to do away with Hatch's uncertainty, "There's nothing wrong with that, at all." he answered in an almost chiding way, to keep the other trainer from thinking otherwise. "Makes sense, too. Better to be picky than not, I say. Otherwise you can wind up in unwanted predicaments." he looked rather sternly to Hatch, his tone matching with its firmness, "It's better to be someone with an idea of what they want, than someone who just takes what ever drifts their way. Too many people coast by without any sort of thought in the actions they do." perhaps his passionate side got the best of him, and wasn't exactly translated the best of ways socially...
But his attentions veered to their interest at hand; the source of the cracking and peeping. And to his pleasure, Mako found he'd been right about what it would be. Togepi. Standing a distance from them, not wanting to already stress the newborns, he watched as the other trainers reacted to the pair, his lips pursing to the side, and eyes narrowing as he observed and thought.
Flua stared at the two as well, cheeks bunching as he smiled, extending his lengthy form for a closer look at them. But he retreated once given a small touch by Mako, coiling himself around the tiny trainer, but providing enough space for him to shift comfortably. Side glancing to Hatch, Mako gave an upnod towards the frightened Pokemon, "How about one of those?"

Oops. Was I being too tidy? He blushed slightly and gave a quick smile. "I work at the pokemon center.. I guess it became a habit of me to use these sorts of medical supplies." He could get things at cost but there is no need to tell strangers that. The last thing he wants to deal with are people asking him for favours. He tried to remain calm around her and was glad to see her let out a short uncomfortable shout before being herself again. "The only healer in the area huh? I am glad I packed a first aid kit with me then," he spoke as he started to wrap the clean bandage around her arm and eventually covering the entire wound. "I can give you a few more fresh bandage to take home later. Just look for me. Or shout out Niko." Niko nodded back at the girl who confirmed that she had witnessed the gruesome sight too. "If you give them care and affection," he said while looking curiously at the Bellsprout, "It might grow fond of you over time. Also congrats on catching one. I was busy staring at the beautiful scenery to notice these little guys." His Togekiss ended up spotting more pokemon moving about in the tall grass and again called out for his trainer's attention. He circled the area and dove down, but not all the way down because he was scared it might be another VIctreebell popping out. Peep peep!Niko stopped talking and became quiet. Peep peep!"Ah! I hear it! What do you think they are this time?" he asked Rhei, and slowly walked into the direction of where they came from. "More plant pokemon?"

For whatever reason, Hatch was instantly buoyed by Mako's stern replies. Or, perhaps it was because of Mako's serious nature that the assurances rang truer? He couldn't help an appreciative smile rising.
Before he could reply with anything though, his expression lit up with delight as the grass ahead was parted. Togepi! Two of them! He looked over at Mako with bright eyes and nodded. "I'm sure a togepi would help me a lot with healing!" He started forward, but paused and gave Mako a bashful smile. "Would you or Flua distract Zhira for me. He's kinda used to being my only pokemon, and gets worked up whenever I try catching another."
Zhira gave a confused grunt when he was picked up, but forgot about the peeping noises when he was dropped next to Mako, within Flua's protective circle. He simply purred louder and wove contently around Mako's ankles.
With Zhira set, Hatch slowly approached the little nest. He took a few deep breaths to calm his excitement, and knelt on the ground to scoot the last couple feet. "Hey there, togepi," he cooed softly. "We're not here to hurt you." He carefully extended a hand with his palm up to back his words with his actions.
"... Are you hungry?" Still moving slow so that he wouldn't startle the little pokemon, he reached into his pack and pulled out a small baggie. He pulled a couple poke puffs out, and held them out in his open hand again. As long as Zhira didn't find out his treats were being shared... "Here. These are yummy~" Pokeball go! Oh! How adorable! The little egg pokemon seemed to have their own tiny nest. But...where were their parents? What if the Victrebell ate them?! Someone had to take care of the cute little pokemon! Joey looked at Lily Rose. "Okay girl. I have an important job for you!" he told her. Lily Rose looked at her human. Important job? She could do it! She did her best to look like a good dog. A dog that could handle an important job! Joey noticed the change in her attitude. "Good girl! I need you to go make friends with the little pokemon! I need you to get close, and be not-scary, okay? If they look scared, stop, get smaller, look like a nice doggy, all right? Wait, then get closer. See if you can make friends. If you can get close enough, poke one with the ball, okay?" he instructed, holding out a pokeball. Lily Rose carefully took the ball and let Joey help her off the big pokemon they were riding. She made her way through the grass, towards the nest. The grass parted unexpectedly, and she froze. Slowly, she dropped to her belly. She looked away for a moment, then looked back. Wagging her tail a bit, she crawled a tiny bit closer. Setting the pokeball down between her paws, she nosed it forward, crawled a tiny bit after it, then stopped again. 'Ignoring' the two tiny pokemon, she played with the ball a bit, nosing it between her paws, hiding it in her ruff, 'finding' it again, and generally acting like a silly puppy, being careful not to make any big or sudden moves. She was a good dog! She had a job! She 'accidentally' let the ball roll closer to the nest and crawled after it. Peeking up at the little pokemon, she swished her tail in a friendly way, then gave the ball a firm roll with her nose towards the nearest little pokemon. Pokeball go! Jorge heard Gormlaith following behind her and continued walking to see what the fuss was about. She stopped suddenly and let out a little gasp when the two little egg pokemon were revealed. She looked down at Layla, willing the Vaporeon to look deep inside herself and pull out all the maternal instincts she had. Jorge approached and crouched low to the ground so that she wasn't towering over the two. She looked at them both with a smile.
"Hello, you two," she said calmly. "It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you. My name is Jorge, and this is my friend, Layla," Jorge opened her pack, pulled out and uncapped a water bottle, and nodded to her Vaporeon, who had stepped in front of her to stare curiously at the baby pokemon.
Layla hummed and slowly swished her tail back and forth. She drew the water from Jorge's bottle to her and made two long thin streams. She then, slowly floated them over to the Togepi. Jorge smiled as Layla manipulated the strands to spin into rings and make random shapes in the air above the two. For a few minutes she did that and then slowly began to float the strands back towards Jorge, hoping that the Togepi would follow.Pokeball go! Preferences: Swirled, Spotted

"Ah, that would explain it," Rhei said when he told her he worked at a Pokemon Center. But which one? she wondered. Surely she would have seen him at the Katarina Center, but maybe he hadn't been on duty when she had been there. Of course, there were also the Inhinx and Motterossa Centers, and maybe some out there in the wilderness somewhere. As he wrapped her arm, Rhei studied him. Niko. "We'll probably run into each other again, if you work at a Pokemon Center. But I'll yell for you if it starts soaking through."
She offered him a hand so they could help each other up, and she almost fell over again, forgetting that Rima had unbalanced her shoulder. "I think we like each other fine," she said, running her fingers over the back of the Bellsprout's head. Giving the pokemon a close look, she nodded. "It might sound weird, but I think she felt pretty bad about vine whipping me, even though I just caught her. I know the pokemon here are supposed to be more hostile than others, but I've always wanted to be a friend to them, not a master or a trainer. Maybe she sensed that..."
Trailing off, Rhei stood on her tiptoes, looking into the grass. And then ran forward, her hands going to her bag on the shoulder opposite of Rima. From it, she pulled a book. Flipping through the pages, she stopped when she finally reached the entry on the page of the pokemon before her. "They're Togepi!" she called back to Niko - but wait. There was Niko's pokemon again, calling for him, and it was on the same page with the Togepi. Rhei shut her book and turned back to him, eyes wide, suddenly more impressed. If he had raised his pokemon, not only did he have high enough friendship with it for it to evolve, but he had also managed to find a Shiny Stone for it. "I don't suppose your Togekiss laid an egg or two recently?" What a coincidence if not.

The pokemon in the grass hesitated and then showed themselves.
"Awwwww!" cooed Emalthya immediately at the togepis. "They're so adorable!"
Pheonix thought they were cute, also, and he was a little embarrassed that he had been so wary. What could a togepi do to someone like him?
"They look so scared," noticed Emalthya. "That's a shame- look at how fluffy they are! Don't you want to go rub their little downy faces?"
Pheonix did not want to rub their little downy faces, but he liked the look of them. He knew he already had Emalthya to look after; it didn't seem like it, but she was hard work. He didn't think he could cope with a baby as well.
"Look at their cute little toes!" Emalthya practically fawned over the togepis as she noticed each little aspect about them which was inherently cute. "They have little stubby fingers with nails! Awww." She had a big, goofy grin on her face and her cheeks were pinking.
Pheonix chuckled deep in his chest, like three rocks grinding together. His trainer was very funny. From this experience only, if one avoided thinking about the fate of the shiny dunsparce, the trip had been worth it. Even so, they kept well away from the trainers converging on the togepis in their attempts to catch them; soon, they could not see the togepis from the press of hopeful trainers.
Emalthya sighed a little. There was no room in her party for a togepi. Maybe she would get to cuddle one before she left. She hoped so.

"Mhm," he replied, "they have their own set of rules that every employee has to follow." At last he finished rolling the gauze around her arm and tied a knot with the two ends. "It's especially important for me since I have worked there for almost a year now." Like she did to him, he took a good look at her face. But nothing came to mind. Perhaps she was there before but with so many people coming in and out, it was hard to tell one person from another. Unless, well, unless someone frequents there lots with injured pokemon... He took her hand and used her as a lever to pull himself up, feeling her shift in weight. " Thanks," he responded while still holding onto her hand, and shifted his own weight to stop her from falling. "I admire how you seem to understand a newly caught pokemon by being neither a trainer or a master." Casually, he let her hand slide off of his. Niko followed after Rhei and looked over her shoulder to see what was in the tall grass this time. He watched her flip through a book and decided not to interrupt and just waited for a response. Almost instantly, she found the page she was looking for and was surprised at her odd question directed towards him. He laughed out loud. "My Piko is a male. He will need to have mated with a female to be the father of those two cute Togepis. It's our first time in the grasslands. I'm certain they're not his." He pointed a finger toward his bird's chest."He got hearts. They don't." Piko, having realised that they're his kind, cood at them and slowly landed on the ground beside them. He tucked in his wings and cocked his head. He also noticed the most scared of the two was the one with the dotted pattern. Another coo left his throat followed by a 'Pi - ko' sound. He wanted to go closer but was afraid they'd run away. At this time, Niko could only watch the two newly hatched birds from afar. Overcrowding would just scare them off.

Becka gave Raven another rub behind the ears before moving back towards the sound of the peeping, seeing flashes of color. That was when a Chandelure started to try and scare whatever was in the grass. "HEY!" she snapped, she didn't like bullies at all. "Control your Pokemon" she yelled in the general direction of the trainers near the Chandelure. Raven beside her, bristling in anticipation of .... something .... or just in case. Then the Pokemon revealed themselves, "Togepi! how cute!" she murmured, Raven, sensing her intent, moved towards the togepi, crawling on his belly a little, making little encouraging sounds, they were just babies really, Raven LOVED babies. Becka knelt, forgetting all about the bully chandelure for a moment, holding out a hand with some pokemon food she'd pulled out of her pocket "hey there cuties!" she said in a friendly voice, trying to encourage them towards her while sneaking a hand behind her into her bag to grab a Pokeball, should one come close enough.
