 "Thank you, dear friend," Shi said looking down at the necklace himself. "That would be wonderful, I don't know that I'm so great at making fires without flint or steel. We could always end up experimenting with ways to start it after I catch a few more fish if you haven't gotten one started before I return... I'm glad you're hungry."
Moving back towards the shallows, Shi began wading back out and said, "I've been fishing ever since I've been coming out here to the beach. It was so hard at first, but now I think I've pretty much got it down pat."
Shizuka wasn't unaccustomed to being flirted with, in fact he rather enjoyed it, but wasn't about to admit it.

 Enju had a knack for always looking suspicious. His face was constantly in a state of mischevious scheming that a rather sharp and sly smile betrayed it of him. He nodded at Shi and splashed his way down the small shore to pick up dry wood. Enju wasn't any woodsman or traveler so he didn't know manny ways to get a fire but he was sure he could at least conjur one with the items he found. His ears were poised to Shi, listening. "That's pretty neat! My father taught me to fish with a net. It's probably considered cheating but it gets the job done," he snickered, picking at branches as he spoke.
He sat just a few paces away from Shi, rubbing two sticks together. He was rubbing the end of one into the other sticks side which was covered in a dry flmisy grass. It easily started smoking and Enju let out a gasp of excitement, eagerly begining to blow onto the little embers. Soon enough a flame grew and with all the twig he had gathered, the Gehaka soon had a nice little cooking fire.

Shizuka smiled, "No, I don't consider fishing with a net cheating. It takes skill to keep all those fish trapped inside - more skill than I'll probably ever have... but I'm good with my hands so this keeps me agile." He admitted, his hands closing around a fish who had become almost too easily acclimated to his presence. In the twinkle of an eye, the fish was thrown up into the boat where two were already laying.
Shi glanced over at Enju as the pale, short-haired Gehaka attempted to make a fire. He was doing a top-notch job considering he had probably never made a fire on his own before. Collecting the fish he'd caught, Shi washed the ones from the boat in the water, then started toward Enju, whose fire was now burning merrily. "Wow, you're good," he noted, taking a long stick from the bank and making it into a spit that he could hold over the fire. He took a knife from his pocket and began scaling the fish. Making certain that the fish wouldn't fall off, he offered the stick to Enju.
"Just hold it over the fire and it should be ready fairly soon. I wouldn't hold it over the open flame or the outside will cook too soon before the inside," he said. "I'll have my own ready in a second."

Enju nodded at Shi agreeabley, either technique took a good amount of effort and skill. He added some more dried leaves to fire so it was steady. Giving a large triumphant grin, he shrugged though he was somehwat proud. He never really cooked his fish, his mother's Gehaka at home usually did that. Pursing his lips, he took the fish from Shi, nodding a thanks and placed it over the fire.
He was obvioiusly giddy over the whole thing and watched Shi go through the process of scaling the fish with curiousity. "So what's your favorite kind of fish to eat? My mother once had some special fish imported from somewhere, I don't remember but it as huge and tasted so good," he said longingly, leaning on Shi as he worked, tounge lolling out jokingly as if he could smell it.

"My favorite fish.. well... as often as I get it, I can't say. Mother doesn't usually supply his husbands with a great deal of nutritious or costly food... mostly we usually get bread and water. Except Jiro, but that's because he's mother's favorite... if I had to choose one it would probably be salmon." He said, still scaling the fish. "Sometimes I just catch them and eat them as sushi. I prefer some fish that way... tuna mostly. But you get the point... I don't often eat fish."
Having finally fixed a fish onto his stick, he held it over the fire and watched as the meat slowly turned from a pale pink to white and then a very slight brown. He had no doubt that the smoke from the fire would make the fish taste wonderful. Pulling the fish towards him, he started pulling the meat off the bone with his teeth. He was ravenous and he would, no doubt, eat more fish than Enju would. Taking a look at Enju, he mused with a bit of fish in his mouth, "How is it? Did you cook it all the way through?"

 It had been a long time since Seichou had managed to get himself out of the house, but he had come out here to the cool riverside to unwind. His slender shoulders were wickedly knotted, but he shook himself off -- charcoal dust came puffing off his clothes. "Aaah..." he sighed deeply, closing his eyes against the fresh, clean air and sighing happily.

The sun felt good on his shoulders, warming and soothing. He yawned widely not enough sleep- he had been soothing Naomi last night- mmm such a nice night out. "At least it a nice day out." He turned and coughed walking into a cloud of dust. His hand covered his mouth and he backed away.

"Ooops..." Seichou drew into himself, wings aquiver, as he peered at the other, waving away the cloud of black dust. "I am sorry..." He bowed deeply, and his shaggy black hair fell around his golden-skinned face. "Forgive me. I have not been out in awhile; my manners escape me..."

Sei shook himself and laughed. "It's alright. Don't bother bowing to me fellow brother. We are both Gehaka why should be bow? Would you like to bath in the stream? Perhaps you wouldn't rise up clouds of smoke. "

"I... suppose that bath -would- be a good idea," Seichou coughed as he stirred up another cloud of dust from his hair as he stood up. "I... I am just used to being locked up in my mother's shop." He blushed deeply beneath his coating of black dust.

"I am often trapped in the forge." Sei walked to the river and dipped his feet into the cool water. "Sit or take a dip." Okay..it was hard to tell but did the other just blush. Hopefully he was just embaressed.

"I do charcoal paintings," Seichou said thoughtfully as he stripped off his tunic, baring the paler golden skin, and smiling. "So... I often end up with charcoal everywhere... you work in a forge...?" He slid into the cool water with just his pants on.

"I forge weapons, sometimes homey things from plates to horse shoes." Sei slapped the water with his foot, delighting in the spray that bath his face. "Paintings? So you are an artist, abit a messy one."He grinned showing white teeth. "Do you enjoy your work?"
