Are we getting a new monthly chance item for October? One that is not filled with user created items but with Gaia-mades only. Like the ci Spacing Out that we got in September.


Not this month, it was stated here that "While Jump Start was successful, we are listening to your feedback and are not holding another Jump Start for the monthly CI. This means we will be trying out different release methods for new items moving forward."

In regards to Gaia Rewards, could you possibly make the stars earned a tradeable/giftable sort of thing, like Wing Stickers? Or could that be a feature in the Gaia Rewards store?

Especially now that you have tier rewards rotating in the shop, I'd like to be able to help others get items they've been waiting to get rather than let my Stars expire.

At this time we do not have any intentions on making your hard-earned stars tradable/giftable to other users. You can always purchase the item you want with your stars and then trade/gift the items to your friends as you please.

Yeah moving forward we can be more cognizant and try and add timers to more things.

You should be able to do that, but be aware that if there is a problem with the automatic withdrawal both accounts could lose their subscription status.

Is there anyway to get an email system (Or PM system) in place to remind you your Angel sub is about to renew? I forgot I didn't cancel mine and it renewed and I was like oh ya I forgot I was subbed ahh..
Just a day before like "Hey letting you know your Angel sub is about to renew" kind of thing would be amazing!


A PM is sent out everytime a subscription is successfully renewed. We can look into sending an email a day ahead of time.

Yes the reward point expiration was designed to span a bit more than 6 months as this gives a grace period for Gaians to spend their points. Unless many Gaians request the grace period to be shorter, it'll be this way for a while.

Does gaia have any intention of displaying the Contents and Drop Rates of Chance Items?

As far as i am aware there is no place on the site to find a list of what items are contained within a chance item or what chances u have of actually receiving each item.

I'd personally suggest putting a full list of both in https://www.gaiaonline.com/promo/chanceitem
as well as linking to the page displaying odds and contents, within each item's description.


We've definitely been considering adding the feature to display drop rate for chance items. Most likely something which integrate with MP as we have so many chance items already released.

Question: Can the items in the Gaia Rewards please be cycled out?
Studious Aspiring Doll Artist, Demonic Concoction Cation, Thumbelina Ace Luv, Nyx Rebirth, Midori Furina, and Cherry Cat Calling have all been there since pretty much the start of the Gaia Rewards program. And one of the concerns people have is their points expiring before they get to purchase anything, because there isn't anything that they want to purchase.

I'm sorry for how you felt about the recent released. Back in October we released an update with new stage and kins and those are all free. Though after that we do need to release some premium content to justify for the development cost as we do wish to keep the art team employed. It's difficult to juggle between providing only free content, and keeping a staff team running.

Are there any plans of putting more item re-releases into the Cash Shop? I just returned from a long break and there's a long list of items I've missed but it's hard to keep track of when specific items released when and a lot of items haven't had listings for long periods of time. Also, could there be an increase of direct item purchases? Gashas seem to be a reoccurring aspect of the Cash Shop but honestly, I would love to be able to just buy specific items directly even if it meant at a higher price markup. Sometimes it feels like the rarity of items in the Marketplace ends up being completely random because of scarcity and not for reasons such as most popular color or item popularity/use.


With our current shop system, it takes quite a bit of time to schedule and put everything in the shops that we release now.
We are doing our best for now with re-releases and will obviously be continuing to re-release things in various methods!

Maybe in the future we can have an easier method for things like this!

Last year the Narwheel feature took my GC and gave me no items. I submitted a ticket a year ago with no response. I would like that looked into......

edit: I know I am not the only user who had GC stolen by this feature on that same day. There are other tickets submitted for this issue

One of our staff checked and the reason why you hadn't gotten a response is you filed a General Inquiry ticket rather than a Billing ticket. I have moved the ticket over to the correct queue and hopefully someone will get back to you A.S.A.P.

What's with the scummy, scammy way you made the Workshop? You pay to request something, around $30 a pop in Gaia Cash, and the only way to vote is through MORE Gaia Cash, ~$1.50 to upvote, and 3-4 for a downvote! And then people need to pay for MORE Gaia Cash, just to "crowdfund" any ideas that get through voting. 36,000 Gaia Cash just to add an "edit" button on the workshop? That's so sleazy! That's around $150 JUST for crowdfunding! You could hit $400 on one idea alone, and that's not cool. People have been requesting, for free, ideas to make Gaia better, but in order to be heard, now we have to PAY to be heard? And even worse, be DENIED because people didn't upvote, or god forbid, spent the actual cash to downvote an idea? That's taking advantage of your users, for things you could, and SHOULD, have done for free.


I'm sorry that you're not happy with how the Workshop operate. Currently we have the core Gaia team who works on maintenance, upkeep, holiday event, as well as new features whenever possible. We do wish to do more, but resources are limited.

We do have the option of doing more, with an external team of contractors, but that would require resources outside of what we have today. The idea was to see if anyone would be behind getting more than what we're currently doing right now. At its core, the math are very different than the price of a virtual item, as the economics comes down to how much does it cost to have a contractor work for X number of hours. I can understand how it seems like too much, and there's no arguing against how you would feel.

In the perfect world, we would have all necessary coding done in time and for free, but unfortunately our time is a finite resource, no matter how late I stay up to get work done. Anything that can potentially tip the scale all comes down to resources in funding.

In the future, would you consider reduced prices to submit/vote in the Workshop as an Angel Subscriber benefit? Although I don't agree with the prices, I understand why they're put in place (the shop would just be Site Feedback 2 if it was free, after all). However, as a subscriber, I'm a little frustrated that I have to pay extra for my input to be acknowledged when I'm already pouring money into this site on a regular basis.

I understand where you're coming from when it comes to discounting GC, but having it constantly discounted is bringing in more harm than good. For example, GC asking prices around the site look rather intimidating to those who aren't regular spenders because the number goes up to make up for the discount, and the true value is actually half of that. And now you're making all these changes/updates like Marketplace plat-to-GC ratio, GC-sinks, and direct ticket sales to avoid the "hoarding GC / excess GC" crowd.

Wouldn't it give you less headaches if GC discount/sales were limited to special occasions like the holidays, or maybe weekends-only type of deal?


I don't spend much time looking into the daily GC discount ratios, but what you said definitely make sense. I'll forward your suggestions to the sales team.

I had asked a while back and never gotten a response or seen an update...

Is there any possibility of seeing the GC bonus applied to purchases made through the app? I rarely have my card on me, and the easiest way to charge GC is through the app but I don't want to miss out on the large bonuses that I would get if I would go through the site.


Yes there should be better bonuses on GC purchases in mobile platforms. I think the tricky part is that Apple and Google takes 30% of the payment as fee as opposed to Paypal's 3%, so the bonus probably cannot be identical.

To be clear I am NOT asking for a resolution of my specific MP ban, this question is about the process that triggers it for any user.

I recently returned to Gaia and wanted to support, heard y'all have been in a tight spot.
Last week while I was going for an angel subscription and buying GC I was insta-banned for suspicious activity. I unsubscribed from angel, didn't fix it.

I'm afraid if I/when I do get my trading pass/MP privileges back that making any transactions will ban me again. Is it safe to donate/buy GC and if so what's the limit before we get banned?

One minute before you posted, I just got the e-mail at 4:38 saying I got it back! I'm guessing someone on staff saw this post, and I appreciate it!

My question was is it safe to buy GC/subscribe to angel or will I get a ban EVERY time I make a transaction? It seemed to be something automated and im afraid to make a purchase again. I've seen other people have the same problem in the Q&A forum, and they went several weeks without resolution. I'm afraid of that.


Hi there,

It should be safe, it happened because the system was trying to protect you from possible fraud until we could check to make sure you actually made the purchase. Hopefully it shouldn't happen again but if you make purchases which seem a bit odd the system may flag you again until it learns your purchase style.

So last week I mentioned I had my trading pass revoked upon becoming an angel subscriber due to the system wrongly assuming it may be fraud. I asked if it was safe to buy GC or would I lose my ability to trade for a week or more ANY time I bought GC. I was told it's safe to buy GC and my trading pass/ability to buy from MP was restored. The system was just 'learning my spending habits'

I bought GC and BAM immediate total loss of Marketplace and trading pass. Again.
Im not buying huge amounts of GC. I'm not buying custom amounts. It was ONE GC purchase and immediately banned again. Banned for supporting the site, that's super frustrating! It also isn't reviewed in 'a couple business days' like the automated private message states. You've now made me afraid to spend any money anywhere on your site and I still can't use the mp or trade after over 2 weeks back on the site.

Can you look into how you apply automatic suspensions upon GC or subscription to see if it needs some work? I can't be the only user returning after a hiatus.

As we said before we have implemented a new system to make sure that the purchases that are made are not any type of fraud. Since it is new, it's still learning your spending habits. Please be assured that unless we find fraud your account should not be banned. The more information we have the less this will happen. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. I'm very confident that it does remember a Gaian's account and whitelist upon approval. I will look into your account and try to see why this happened to you twice. The trading pass revoking actually is only related to GC purchase and not subscription. Either way I'll look into this issue. Sorry for the trouble.

Every year around Valentine's day, you guys would put Sweetheart Ring in cash shop. I was waiting for this month to come just for this ring but you didnt put it up. Can you guys put Sweetheart Ring in Cash Shop for limited time? Many users want one.

Daily Treat Video still isn't working for me on this account . Been down a quite a while now .

But it also doesn't work on any of my Spares or Alt accounts either , i've checked


Sorry we haven't done a deep dive into the issue as we haven't been able to reproduce it on our end. Can you have a look at the browser's console log and let me know if you see any errors being reported, and any description or screenshots of the daily treat page when it is not working for you?

We should probably start looking for additional partners for the feature.

This might have been mentioned in a previous AtS, though this is my first in quite a while so please forgive me if this has been mentioned repeatedly already.
There's been an issue for several users where the Daily Treats page doesn't finish loading. No video, no plats, just the "Loading Video..." comment. Me and plenty other people have clarified that we aren't using AdBlock on Gaia, so it's not that that is preventing it from finish loading.


Sorry we had been looking into the issue and trying to find a different provider for Daily Treats. We could temporarily disable the feature but it's working for many others at the same time.

Is there a way that announcements can be more truthful? I see cash shop announcements all the time that are really misleading/deceitful.

For example, today that announcement for old Collector's passes referred to the February one as from 'this past February' and the ones from 2016 as 'from last year.' With these at least the item had a year so you know the announcement itself is wrong but with a lot of items they state BRAND NEW or lie about releases or features.

I don't think it's in any way intentional on your part, but there have been times I purchased something after being misinformed by the announcement and felt a little scammed.
It doesn't feel great or build a lot of trust.

Actually this had nothing to do with being disingenuous, it was merely human error in a copy/paste that didn't get everything changed as it should have been. If you check now the copy has been updated to reflect the correct information.

Question: Will the Daily Treat grants be fixed anytime soon?

They have been broken entirely since the beginning of last month, & they haven't had an actual video/GC grant for me since sometime last summer or so.

(I already have issues with most GC offers not being available since I'm Canadian.)


We are working with our partners (Socialvibe and Sponsorpay) to fix the Dailly Treat issues. Sorry for the delay, it should be fixed very soon.
