"Good idea! Maybe he'll give you some socks if he sees it." Jeong-jae had noticed how much his brother wanted a pair and figured this would get them in Tuggle's good graces. The hats were pretty silly looking in his opinion so he'd prefer to get a pair of socks instead as well. They seemed to be the new it thing around the campus so he wouldn't mind wearing them around to show off his effort here at the garden. They'd worked hard to get that fence together!
"This line is his nose." Jeong-jae stated, making a long black line go straight up and down the circle's top half. His wrist slipped and it went all the way up as he struggled to catch himself. Oops. Oh well, they could just cover that up with some hair, yeah. Next up was Tuggle's mustache, it was a thing of beauty and clearly his second pride after the garden. Struggling to hold his wrist steady, not wanting to repeat his mistake, Jeong began to move the brush cautiously while wondering how to fill in the face. He wasn't the best at crafts- a fact that used to be okay because it made Yoon Su laugh at how bad his drawing came out. Compared to Alec's freakin' dragons though- Damn! This was going to hell already.
"I kinda messed up. Think we can fix it?" Turning to his brother, Jeong gave him a weak smile.

How it looks so far! Had an epiphany and realized Tuggle's face is MADE to be a PEACE SIGN! So just go with it.

"This is harder than I thought." He'd been unable to fix Jeong's error and opted to leave the strange line as it was. Maybe they could pretend this was some sort of modern art. Either way, he doubted people would pay it much attention. Most were busy admiring the talented works rather than the crummy ones. He'd distract from his twin's mistake by adding more detail. On went the hair and though it didn't cover quite all of his head, it was obvious what the intent was.
"Walls, don't look-" A snort escaped him as he realized how unevenly he'd dabbed on the eyes. Tuggle was looking less and less like a person and more like a children's puppet. He tried to block the image from view from his double's curious eyes and collapsed in laughter once he was finally wrestled away and two blue dots stared at everyone blankly.

"Peace Garden! Open to all!"Finny mumbled as she looked down at the flyer in her hands and then up at the sight before her once more. Garden was probably at best, a lofty dream for the future but if there was one thing that Finnia Renee Martens loved more than horses, it was dreaming. "Okay!"she cheered folding up the paper and unceremoniously shoving it in her pocket. Undoubtably it would be lost before the day was out.
Slowly slipping amongst the numerous trainees working Finny picked up a brush and some paint. Many of the others seemed to be putting fabulous works of art on their parts but, having never painted before in her lifetime, the smallish girl focused her efforts on simply it one solid color. Her efforts were not for naught, after a few minutes of dedication the fence had been painted rather well, in her section at least. Just as she was about to move to another section of fence she heard sniffling and whirled around immediately causing a different color of paint to splatter against her previously solid area. "Oh no!!" she wailed before studying the damage... Actually... Finny frowned and tilted her head sideways. It... kind of looked like a cat's face. "Maybe it's not such a bad thing," she chirped before reverting her attention to the sniffling that had originally distracted her. Seeing a very interesting little man in apparent distress she ran over and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Uh... sir? Are you okay?"she asked worriedly giving him a gentle pat. "I can give you a hug if you want! They always make me feel better." she offered with her brightest, most infectious smile.

The trainee that approached Terry Tuggle did not have to ask twice. He was a rather big, broad and brawny man, and since she'd offered a hug, he accepted. Of course, he lifted the girl off the ground in order to really hug it out.
"I'm just fine, trainee," Terry Tuggle sniffled softly, setting her back on her feet. "Thanks for the hug. I'm so pleased by all the beautiful work everyone has done on the fence. Such an amazing job, so much teamwork, so much happiness."

Finny smiled brightly as the man accepted her offer and then found herself struggling to breath as she was lifted off the ground by the force of his hug. As she was finally set down she staggered slightly while working hard to maintain her upright position. Laughter bubbled from her lips as she finally became steady and she gave the man another smile. "It really is beautiful. I'm gonna join them again now. Keep smiling Mr. Huggle!"she cheered waving to him briefly before skipping back towards where she was working on the fence. "Back to work!" she chirped before beginning her painting once again whilst humming a little tune.
"Oh! I almost forgot!" Zin said, flailing her brush around dangerously. "I have to report for duty at the horse stalls soon! I wish I could stay here though, this sounds like more fun..." She frowned. "Sorry, Lenore, I gotta run! I'll see you later in the mess hall!" She threw her arms around the smaller girl in a bear hug (she luckily avoided dripping any pain on Lenore's clothes) before darting away from the half-painted fence.

The painting was going well enough but Hwan couldn't help but wonder if there was a faster way to do this. Snatching up another brush, he dipped them both in paint and began to smear it on the fence with both hands. The boy lacked technique but he made up for it in enthusiasm! Stepping back to admire his work, a faint tune drifted through the area and he curiously glanced towards the source. A young girl hummed along as she dutifully added to the decorations and he stepped closer with his brush and bucket.
"Not bad, that's pretty catchy. Does it have words? I'm Hwan." Cheerfully dropping his stuff next to her's, the boy began to help with her section, curious to get to know the ponytailed trainee.

"And I'm Jeong. Who're you?" Following his brother over to the newcomer, the twins approached with friendly smiles. It was nice to see that word about the Peace Garden was spreading and calling more people to come help! He couldn't wait until it was time to plant because that meant they'd be one step closer to time to eat! Waiting to let the brunette introduce herself and answer Hwan's question, the boy also began helping paint the area near her, figuring she wouldn't mind their company. Well maybe she would but since they hadn't met her yet, maybe she wasn't aware of their reputation!

Axel was a little rattled after making Terry Tuggle cry. And he was also maybe a little egotistical after all the compliments.
He decided to paint something that expressed the tortured inner workings of his soul.
Sorry for the extremely belated response. I've been a horrid mix of uninspired and busy this past week. >.>

Lenore's arms remained slack at her sides as Zin embraced her in a torpid mix of being unsure what to do and not wanting to get paint on the other girl. When the bear hug ended, she took her free hand and waved a goodbye at the older girl. Turning back to working, she painted the fence some more as Axel's painting caught her eye. Stopping, she got up and moved closer to examine the equine hellbeast. "You're pretty good. What is it?" She murmured quietly to the older boy.

"Yeah, we're twins." A cheeky grin followed as if he'd done this several times before, "You're not going crazy or seeing double." Usually when people met them the shock of seeing two completely identical looking boys was startling at first. It was a little more exciting to introduce themselves privately one on one to mess with people if they didn't realize there were doppelgangers on the loose but they'd play nice with Finny. She seemed like a nice girl.
((Trying out Hwan's new speech color! His shirt will be dyed this green so hopefully telling the twins apart is easier on everybody now. XD ))

"Welcome to the Peace Garden! Where dreams come to fruition- unless you're Alec!" Jeong grinned, slinging an arm around Hwan as they faced the new girl. She likely didn't know what he was talking about but that didn't matter, it was certainly a story to tell if she was curious enough to ask. As long as she introduced herself he didn't mind moving to talking about something else though. With light waves in her brown hair, she had an easy going quality to her that he hoped meant she'd be friendly and fun! They needed to recruit more people to the party list, would this unknowing auditioner make it?!
((Also started using Jeong's new speech color tonight too!))

Hwan continued to paint the fence. It was a nice day to be outside and the chatter of the other trainees and the breeze would be a fond memory looking back on this day. He painted in big broad strokes to create a clean white canvas for the others as he and his brother worked their way around the fence.
"Jeong, maybe we can take some of the stuff to Yoon-su?" The boys knew each other well and he had no doubts that his twin had been thinking something similar.
