((No worries, no worries~ emotion_c8 )) Zin stared ahead at the finish line as she threw her weight against the rope. For two small girls, they were doing fairly well with the heavy bag. It was an agonizing process, for the ground was not completely smooth and snagged at the fabric of the bag, but they were making steady progress. Zin noticed that some others in trainee uniforms were able to lift the bag onto their shoulders, and some were able to move more than one. She grit her teeth and strained her muscles as hard as she could; she couldn't fall behind! "We're... doing... great!" she called back, trying to encourage herself as much as Lenore.

((Once again it's time for a new prompt! I'm cutting us short of one of them, or we won't have enough time. But methinks we be good to go. * You MAY continue RPing as if the prompt hasn't happened yet, but this creates a split in the timeline. Please label posts that are still in prompt 1 accordingly, with the prompt you are replying to bolded at the top ex.: Prompt 1 *You may respond to Prompt 3 when you see fit. )) Volunteer Assessment Day Prompt 3 "What a workout!" The lady called cheerily again from her vantage point on the doorstep. "It looks like we have a very strong young lady with us, today!" She clapped her hands at Danny. "Thank you all for your cooperation. Our judges are done taking in the results, and they should be up with the trainee at the front booth. We have drinks if you need refreshment before going to see if you've made it to your chosen troupe, right over he-" Lloren turned around with a glass in her hands, to see people looking in the direction of the many barrels of water by which she stood. Oops. "...Aren't you supposed to always be at the front booth, not watching the try-outs?" -"I've been spotted! Whatchaa!!" The trainee slipped away posthaste, sneaking back to the front whilst making her own sound effects. "Ha ha ha, she cracks me up, that one." Saga said, perhaps the last person who should be speaking. **You can keep hanging out back here, but if you want to be assigned some part in the parade go see Lloren in the front and ask about the part you want and if you made it in.

Cyril turned the other way as he heard Alec and another boy getting into a name arguement Cyril could help but listen. "What do we have here" he said watching from a distance. He was definitley ready to jump in to help his friend Alec if anything physical escalated keeping his eyes on the situation.

2 moving into 3At the cute remark the boy stared up in dismay, but it was the last nickname he bestowed upon him that had him loose all sense of composure. "I think not?!" He tried to look serious and only ended up laughing harder. Their height difference was painfully obvious. "Nikky lemme go---" he didn't have to finish his demand, the other was too busy laughing at him. Finally let go of, Alec quickly rubbed at his pinched half of his face, stepping back just out of arms reach. He could have gotten away sooner of course, but the other had meant him no harm. No sense of danger made him complacent and willing to accept what was happening as it would. He gave him a light shove and grinned at the other, nearly in tears from laughter. He looked every part a tomato laughing like that, which only made it worse. "Heh, your not so bad after all." he sort of stood there in a bit of a daze, until he heard familiar voices calling about the next activity and the given directions. Looking up at Cyril's concerned tone he shook his head. "I'm okay." he reached out clasping the others shoulder. His friend was a good one, he'd seen his gaze flicker to the tall boy Nik he'd been rough housing with moments ago. "Defiantly not a bad guy." He assured him with a grin. It took him a bit, but eventually Alec stopped laughing breathing slowly his sides in a bit of a stitch. "Hey guys, lets go see if we can sign up now." He rubbed at the corners of his eyes chuckling as he tried to compose himself again. Trying to coax some of the others to follow he moved over to Lloren whom he recognized from yesterdays tent mishap. "I'd like to get my assignment if possible.." He asked her a bit softly, still in good spirits from his match of wits. After a moment he followed up his question with a "Please. If that's alright?" before lightly toeing his shoe against a rock of some kind looking down from the woman's gaze. What would his fate be he wondered quietly to himself.

Mythee I know he didn't out rightly ask, but I figure he is standing right there so if she wants to sling something at him he is within earshot. Day 2 - 3His abs were beginning to hurt from the laughter when someone he had not yet met spoke up. Looking over Cyril he held up both of his hands in a relaxed manner. “Just a name-calling contest.” He responded gently, his voice a little phlegmy from all of the chuckling that had occurred. “It would seem it has gotten wildly out of control though.” He added happily before lowering one hand and extending the other toward the stranger. “I am Nikolaus, but you may just call me Nik.” Shooting a look at Alec to refrain from using one of their more, creative, nicknames he concluded his introduction and turned to address the redhead who had just commented about him not being so bad. “Glad to hear it! You aren’t so bad after all, for a boy who wears goggles.” He smiled.
His attention was directed elsewhere as an announcement rang over the crowed. He had missed the first day and was uncertain as to whether or not he would be able to get an assignment, but when Alec asked he shrugged in agreement. “Might as well.” Falling in behind Alec he listened for what the woman would give him as an assignment. In that moment, standing there, innards still wobbly from intense laughter, he felt at peace. He was quite content at the moment, and unless his assignment was a horrid one or non-existent, he couldn’t think of anything that would ruin it.

Prompt 2 -> 3
Axel wasn't the first to make it, but he wasn't the last either. He tossed the bags of dirt down and stretched, trying to work the kinks out. He wondered briefly if the bags of dirt would be collected later and used for farming or somesuch. It seemed wasteful, otherwise. He didn't have long to stand there fretting about dirt before most of the stragglers either made it or gave up.
The woman announced that the task was over. Axel watched her confront the trainee, amused.
He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do now. If he just skulked away, probably no one assign him to pulling the dratted barges. But if they could use his help, how could he refuse? He trudged towards the front, debating with himself. At least he was positive no one would ask him to dance.

Prompt 2 -> Prompt 3
Shakuntala bid farewell to Axel when the next event started. Since she lacked physical strength save for carrying large platters full of steamy curry rice, she stood at the edges rooting people on (though her encouragements came in the form of a thumbs up towards anyone who looked her way). Her erected member didn't seem to lift the spirits of most though -- the bags of dirt were quiet heavy and seemed to produce more frustration than determination.
When the competition (well, lack thereof) came to an end, the woman of before offered that others should find out where they were placed in the parade volunteering. Shakuntala was positive she hadn't made it into either section for her clumsiness and lack of attempts in both halves respectively, but she did have hopes for the equine portion of the parade. That's if she was trusted with mounting one of the steeds, of course. Joining the line, she waited her turn.

He put his hand on Leon's head petting him. "I'm just looking out for ya kiddo" he said with a smile on his while closing his eyes. As the other boy turned to him and addressed him "Cyril" he said while nodding at Nik with a neutral expression. Prompt 2 -> Prompt 3Cyril heard the lady say there we're refreshments. Cyril payed so much attention to Alec and Nik that we forgot how thursty to was right after lugging those 2 bags on his own. Quickly he skedaddled over to the drinking station where there was plenty of water. He chugged as much water as he could. "Ahhhhhhh" he said feeling rather refreshed.

Prompt 2->3
After he had walked off, Shun didn't really pay much heed to what was going on between Alec and 'Nikky' or 'Nicole'. He was aware these weren't the boy's real names but that's all he had to go by currently.
He mostly kept to himself until the lady called out to them all once more. At the mention of some refreshments, he went ahead and made his way towards the barrels of water to get himself a drink. It was fairly warm out, and he wasn't about to turn down some fresh, clean water. He snatched himself a cup and filled it so he could take a good swig of the liquid.

prompt 2 -> prompt 3 In a way, Saga's simple mindedness was fascinating, although vaguely irritating. And worse, he wasn't even carrying a coin purse or anything valuable! Well, that Preacher could see. She wasn't about to lay hands on such a strange man... for now. She blinked at his words. King's Guard? He didn't look like he could protect himself, much less anyone else! "Uh, nah, I dun wanna be pullin' bags witcha, Marshal. 'Sides, I prolly got bigger guns that both your arms put togetha." To illustrate her point, she held up both arms and flexed. The bare, dusky skin on her arms rippled slightly with the movement. Preacher wondered why she was being so complacent. Maybe it was because after that dance, all the aches and bruises she'd been ignoring had reasserted themselves in full force. Maybe it was because Saga was just so... utterly non-threatening. She looked around, quickly marking everyone's progress. She saw the fallen kid, Shun,. Axel (stupid Axel with his obscenely muscular body). Maybe she should pull some bags too... BUt it was too late, anyway. At Lloren's announcement, she paused. Finally, she shrugged. "I thinka stay with tha security detail. It prolly suits me best, ye ken? How long've you know her, anyways?" troll toll mr obscene muscles... even if he ain't that muscular, he seems so to Preacher l-lol

@ 2--> 3 Saoirse grinned as she grabbed the bag, and tugged it along, the lady hadn't been joking when she said it was heavy. While she wasn't one of the first people to cross the finish line she manged to plod along at a descent pace and pull the bag to the finish line. The dirt was heavier than the ashes she was used to carrying but overall it wasn't that bad. She certainly wasn't going to be in pain from it later. "Congrats on being first!" She said to to girl who had won the race. She should probably go check out the signup thing for the parade and see if she could help out anywhere. That she decided she would do in a few minutes.

Heyy, you carried that bag like it was nothing! Getting right to it... huh!" Lloren traced a finger down a list until she saw his name, (or at least she thought she'd heard people call him that. Having little memory for names is tough and nobody understands.) And there she saw a couple checkmarks. Ox-carts [X] Criteria: Looks representative of farmers Song and dance [ ] Criteria: Danced consistently, would look good in uniform Decorated barge [X] Criteria: Made it to the end of the circuit without notable exhaustion Costume Parade [X] Criteria: None, any will do. "Alec, right? You can pick pretty much anything you want except dancing. So, Ox-carts, barge or costumes." ((edit: AAA SORRY I MESSED UP I MESSED UP XDD))

Lloren smiled at Shakuntala, not really remembering if she'd participated at any point... oh right, the dance in the beginning! She looked for the checklist. Ox-carts [X] Criteria: Looks representative of farmers Song and dance [ ] Criteria: Danced consistently, would look good in uniform Decorated barge [ ] Criteria: Made it to the end of the circuit without notable exhaustion Costume Parade [X] Criteria: None, any will do. It was too bad, it seemed the judges were not satisfied with her dancing. Lloren hadn't seen anything wrong with it... they must have sharp eyes. "Looks like you could join the ox-carts or the costume parade, which would you prefer?" She asked. "...Hey, aren't you... with the horse..."

Farvardin finally made it to the tented booth that was at the inn. It was amazing she had gotten lost in the first place since her inn is just the down the street. She did get lost and spent the whole day wandering about the town trying to find her way. No one seemed to be around since many were taking care of booths or were helping prepare for the parade, so she couldn't find anyone to ask for directions. Now that she was here she had a look of disappointment. She had missed the assessments. She didn't really want to partake in them since she was planning on working security the whole time but she did want to watch them. She spotted Alec and Nik near the front desk and walked over. "Hey guys. How was the assessment?" She asked them before turning to Lloren, "Is it okay that I just work security for the parade if you still need it? I'll try to be on time for the next time." She then spotted Cyril and waved to him.

Lloren nodded at the question. "Yes, absolutely, no problemo." She stated simply. Or maybe less simply than she could have.
