ֆ In this great length of time that has no limit or end…

Kat's first thought echoed in Alessa's mind before a searing pain coursed through her body. In that instant, Alessa felt something burst inside of her, like a water balloon bursting. Thoughts, images, memories flowed unbidden into her her mind's eye. Things she didn't intend to see came invading.

She watched with horror as a younger Kat was sobbing, cradling someone. Before she knew it, a younger Ace appeared beside the girl. In an instant, Alessa knew that she was watching Ace's death scene. She turned away, only to come to another scene, one that she remembered painfully well.

"Happy Valentine's Day." Kat thrust out a box of chocolates at her. She froze, her mind reeling. Was....was this a joke? Girls weren't supposed to like girls, right? Besides, how could anyone actually like her? She couldn't.

"No thanks." Alessa said the first words of rejection that came to mind. She turned so that she wouldn't see Kat's reaction. She didn't want that expression to haunt her later.

And then it was a scene she never imagined would happen. Again something she didn't mean to see. The scream was deafening to her, and no matter how she wanted to block it out, she couldn't.

Stop stop stop stop stop make it stop.

As the scream echoed in her head, Alessa flinched, desperately trying to just get out of Kat's mind. She retreated, but as she had less control over her powers, she went too far, retreating farther back into her mind than she intended. Unfortunately, Kat was dragged along, and their bodies collapsed in the sand.

It was dark, minus the fact they could see their bodies perfectly fine. Alessa clutched her shoulder; even in here, it was still painful. She hadn't felt this much pain since that fight with Jack. But Ace had helped her heal quickly from that, at least. Without warning, a memory popped up around them, Alessa's field of dreams spreading before them. Shocked, Alessa wondered why on earth this was playing. She tried to stop it, but her powers decided to do otherwise.

Off in the distance, a couple could be seen, kissing. When they pulled apart, it was clear to see that it was Alessa and Ace, and that they were both euphoric. They both laughed, before they leaned back in for another kiss.

More images began to flash past, playing before them like a movie reel. They were now in the infirmary, after the fight with Jack, and Alessa kissed Ace, her injured body wrapped in bandages. It was obvious that he had been at her side for awhile, his root beer almost completely drunk. His hand was on her stomach, giving off a soft glow as he healed her.

His expression when he saw her dressed up, for the dance but also mostly for him. That look like she was the most beautiful thing, shining brighter than the moon and stars.

She was hurt, but what could she do when there was a ******** sword stabbed in her chest. Gasping in pain, she glared in front of her, but there was only one thought running through her head.

Thank god Ace was safe. Even though he was still injured, thank god she had made it in time to save him from death.

…Even if the two of us get separated someday, I'll find you ֆ

Someone once told me that life was too precious to waste. . .

Nemo was proud of himself. They'd made it to the trading post with hardly a snare. After Fyte had dried off and changed, another scene that had made him stumble over so many words that he just give up, laughed lightheartedly and gave her two thumbs up, they continued on their adventure to see what booty the pirates wrought.

He was all nervous smiles, holding Fytes' hand. She really was the light in his life and he silently promised to never leave her side again if he could help it.

"Wow, there's so much here!" he awed when they entered the awning covered shop. The light breeze tussled their hair, but it was getting warmer so he didn't really mind.

The shelves had many things lined along them and on the floor were rows of larger or heavier items. Everything was arranged according to its need. They had survival gear, like canteens knives and tents in one corner. Then there was the housewares, which had things like clothes and furniture. Necessities like soap, shampoo and brushes were kept in a bin near one of the tables. And then there was the food and water station. It was separate from the rest, because it needed to be more heavily monitored in case of pickpockets. Not that the pirates wouldn't trade or sell for fair price, but they believed everyone got a fair right to it. To steal from them was to steal from everyone.

"They really did get a lot of stuff this time around," Nemo awed as he scanned the shelves. He felt in his pocket, feeling the crumpled note from his last dealings with the Sea Cats.

"What's this?" he asks one of the pirates bringing things out. The tall slender boy set down his crate and looked at the unmarked clear bottle.

"Cream soda?" Nemo looked at him skeptically, but put it under his arm as they continued looking around. It had been a while since they had anything with caffeine or sugar in it. Might be a nice change of pace from water.

"Hey, why don't you pick something. My treat," he says pointing at one of the shelves of non perishables. "And maybe we can go have a pick a nic on one of the beaches."

. . . I wonder if I can return the favor.

風 Change the tears and pain into the stars, let's ignite a light to light up tomorrow

The speechless look on Nemo's face was priceless, and she couldn't help but grin at his reaction. It was endearing how in these little ways, he showed his love for her. She wondered how she could reciprocate his feelings, or at least show it. She gently squeezed his hand as they made their way down to the pirate's trade post. Despite how little time they had spent together, she truly was glad that they could still love each other so much.

Coming to the shop, she loved the feel of the breeze and the warmth of the shop. It really was different from the caves, which were always cool.

"Wow, what a haul!" She said, looking around at the fully stocked shelves. Flitting over to them, she let go of Nemo's hand. She perused at her own pace, occasionally picking up an item before setting it back down again. Her earlier request came back to her mind, just as Nemo offered to treat her. She smiled back at him, touched by the gesture. "A picnic sounds amazing right now." She sighed, imagining just basking in the sun. Sometimes the caverns got a little chilly, and she was better with heat than she was with cold.

Looking around some more, she picked up a bottle and inspected it. The label was worn in some places, but it was clearly marked as root beer. She grinned before running back to Nemo and thrusting it out for him to see. "Is it okay if I ask for this then?" She asked, hoping it would be okay. She wasn't used to asking for things for herself, and she was still getting used to it. Besides, half the time she asked for something she could at least share with others, since it was just in her nature to care a lot about others more than herself.

While Nemo went to pay for their stuff, she stealthily went over and asked another crew member about their medical supplies. While they didn't have any inhalers, he assured Fyte they would keep an eye out for it next time they went out. Satisfied, she bounced back over to Nemo's side before taking one of the bottles from him. "Shall we be off then?"

…Let the two of us put our small hands together, and let's search for stardust and a bright shining eternity 風

Captain Katanna

Kat was thankful that her failures trailed by faster than they had in real time. It was bad enough that she had lived through them without having each moment flaunted before her like a billboard of shortcomings. She knew how poorly she'd performed in the past, not meeting the expectations of her self and her peers. It was why she strove so hard to be a better person now. Not that Alessa would see it that way, she supposed. Any err is proof of unworthiness in her eyes, or so Kat assumed.

The pirate was acutely aware of the mentalist, cowering from the screams and the tears. It made her hate her all the more. How dare she call these memories out of her, only to shy away at their passing.

"Can't handle your own low blow?" she tried to say, but instead it was echoed all around her like an amplified sound system. It was surprising to feel her own thoughts projected like that, but she guessed that's what it feels like to think in her own head.

Then there was a disorienting tug, colors and sounds jumbling together so fast that it made her lose track of which way was up. It felt like a carnival ride, meant to make kids sick, or scream in exuberance. Kat felt the former.

"Ug, ok I want off the ride now," she groaned, her body feeling heavy and sore for no reason that she could find. Then the soft sound of laughter made her look up and around herself. The sight made a cold knot in her stomach form.

"First base? We're fighting to this degree, and all you've gone is first base?" Kat scoffed. However, the moment she thought it, she hurriedly tried to think of something else. A dark room appeared in a blur of moonlight and shifting sheets. She squeezed her eyes shut to stop herself from letting Alessa see, but a breathy moan escaped them before she could force the image to disappear.

Thankfully, her attention was directly diverted by the sights and sounds that bombarded her psyche. Kat stood still as all the images flashed before her, spine stiff and eyes narrowed. It was hard to piece them together, but she imagined the sight of them injured had something to do with the impromptu rescue mission she'd heard about. She couldn't help feel a little guilty, knowing that those injuries could have been prevented had she been present, but at the time she'd been following her own orders.

However, the moment she thought about it, it appeared. The image of herself ran past, carrying the much smaller form of a girl on her back piggy back style, as several shadowed forms of suited agents trailed after. She stopped several bullets with shields before using them as as trampoline over a fence and out of sight.

And the dance, she remembered that well. As she thought it, an image came forth of her with clipboard and headset on, hair up and in full director mode. She had planned to ask Ace to dance, once she knew that the team had themselves in hand with the music. He was never one to worry about how she dressed, but when she stepped back from the curtains to find him, she saw that Alessa had already cornered him and was asking to dance, and she suddenly felt inadequate.

"Is this all you can do? Show off some romanticism?" She growled, getting tired of this one sided playground that she felt unable to counter. Having all there thoughts at Alessa's fingertips worried her. There was too much at stake to let that kind of information out. Not to mention it pissed her off to see her fantasies rubbed in her face.

Ace Price

Ace had watched the scene play out and was unable to effectively do anything about it. He had seen the two use effective swordsplay, but it was obvious Kat had the advantage. The shields were too effective and Kat seemed to be flaunting it almost. It wasn't until Alessa had moved in to get close did the action pick up further almost deadly. Sure it was dangerous at first, but now the two seemed to be looking for blood.

Alessa did it, she managed to land a blow and in that action she took the opportunity to pull Kat into her head, causing the shield around them to disappear and the two to fall onto the ground blades in their bodies. They were now in a mental battle and Ace face palms thinking How did this happen... as he runs over to the two and starts to check on them. Slowly pulling the weapons out and healing them with his powers he leaves the two connected not knowing what would happen if he removed them now.

Looking down on the two he places his hand on Alessa's head pulling him into her mind as he allows her powers to affect him. Now in her mind he looked around and found the two standing apart of each other seeming to show images to one another which started to make him blush before he hit himself and sprinted forwards the two women stopping a few feet short of them. "..Guys! It's me!..." Not really knowing what to say after getting their attention he looked at them and sighed. "Ok... I get it... Alessa look, the memories you have shown me of my past were... Amazing and I couldn't believe I could have such a relationship with someone which is why I wanted ot to continue, though... I knew it might end as it didn't seem like we had many same interests. I think you are having a hard time dealing with this and I want to help you, I do, but you are being really... Not to be mean, but stalkish." Looking over to Kat he gave a look of concern. "Kat you are my best friend and I thought you didn't want a relationship with me so when you finally showed emotions for me I didn't really know how to handle it with you and then Alessa's memories in my mind I was confused. You are aggressive and defensive to a fault making those around you feel safe, but to those who are in your way or need help you can't see... It scares them and makes them uneasy." He says pausing for a moment. "I love you both, Kat, you because you are my bestie and have been by my side forever... How could I live without you, and Alessa as she has shown me what I had and something I don't remember experiencing, but I know it can't be... I mean I am not that Ace am I?... I can't love you like he could,,, I guess what I am saying is that.... I love Kat more..." He says looking a bit saddened.

Kry

The last of the expedition team was almost there and the team including Palian, Tsukiko, and Miya would be ten. The five others joining would be an herbalist, a technopath, a fire bender, an animorph, and a water bender. They were mixed in age and gender, but all carried a smile and sense of purpose as they walked towards the group. Upon arriving they looked at Kry with a bit of intimidation more than fear and Jareth with respect. Looking over at Palian they smiled and waved.

Kry had heard Palian's comment of other people and scoffed at the creature. "Please, you think this is gonna be easy? Tell me, what do you think lies beyond a door that can negate almost any power we have, even mine. The most powerful person on this island." Kry says looking over at the demon. A large vibration is then felt as Kry releases his power down the tunnel, A couple of explosions are heard a bit inside and then a rattle is seen as the cave tremors.

"Well then everyone, initial traps out of the way let's go. Pyro stay behind, but light the way, Tech is trap disposal or at least notification. Jareth make sure no more surprises pop up with new tunnels or anything and Palian was it? We will lead in front in case anything happens.." Kry says with a grin as he waves his hand and notified everyone to go in.

ֆ In this great length of time that has no limit or end…

Alessa clenched her fists. "I can't control it." She whispered, nails drawing blood. It scared her, especially since she hadn't lost control since she was a child. And she could feel it, dancing just beyond her reach. Every time she tried to regain control, it would slip out of her grasp, like trying to catch a fish with bare hands. "I can't control it."

The sounds around her did not go unnoticed. Not the breathy moan that implied so much, and not the sounds of Kat retrieving someone. While they piqued her interest, she was more focused on trying to control it. That is, until Kat taunted her. Alessa knew what she had with Ace wasn't much, but it was all she had. And that was worth everything. At Kat's words, something in her snapped, and a thought from the darkest part of her heart echoed around them.

"You really think this was it? You want to see what I can do that much?" It laughed, and Alessa gripped her head, trying to make it stop. "You don't know fear like I can instill. You won't know what is real and what isn't." The floor between them bubbled suddenly, as if it was suddenly boiling a jet black liquid. However, a new voice rang out, and instantly everything stilled. Looking up, Alessa was surprised to see Ace standing a short distance away. Relief then fear ran through her; he shouldn't be here, not when her powers were running amok.

As she listened, something pierced her heart. Cold, painful, every word he spilled twisted the knife, and left a gaping hole where her heart should have been. Before Ace and Kat, her image cracked in half before being engulfed by the floor. Then a black figure rose from the floor, before the liquid around her dropped from her to reveal Alessa. However, when she opened her eyes, they were devoid of any feeling, just blank, pupil-less pools of color. She took one quick glance at Kat, as if identifying her.

"Get out." She said icily, and Kat was thrown rather unceremoniously from Alessa's mind and back into her own conscious. Having taken care of the red head, this Alessa turned her attention to Ace. "So, you finally made your decision. I'm surprised you finally had the balls to choose." She said, slowly walking towards him. "So, you love the captain more. That perfect, obnoxious, busty tramp." She tilted her head eerily, never blinking as she stared at him. "Is it because you miss just taking her and ravishing her? Because you know that she would give it to you so freely?" At this point, she was right in front of Ace, and she idly had two of her fingers walk up his chest. "Was it fun, stringing me along? Was it fun to play with my emotions just because you pitied me?" She gave a forceful shove against his chest, sending him staggering away. "Because you didn't have the balls to say so upfront, we've come to this. Am I too creepy for you? I must have been, with this weird power to read people's minds with just a touch. It would be a miracle if you weren't disgusted by it. Or was it just too creepy that I kept tabs on you only to try and protect you? I was only doing it because the last time I left you alone, you died!" She screamed at him, clenching her fists. "Oh wait, you don't ******** remember that. You don't even remember all the other times I had to go save your sorry a**! How convenient! How
"I had loved you! And I knew full well I couldn't get the old you back, but God ******** damnit, I still loved you! I was willing to try! But I'm too creepy am I?" Her voice turned dangerous, eerie, with a lilt that one usually heard in horror movies from the psycho chick. Her eyes glowed, and she approached Ace again. "After all that I've given, after I go in, with everything to lose, you just take it all away." She tilted her head to the side, still observing him with that haunting look. Her eyes narrowed. "Couldn't have your ******** cake and eat it too." She hissed at him. "Was it amusing? To see me fawn over you like a lost puppy? Was it fun to tease me while having Kat too? Well, let me tell you," Alessa was up on her tip toes, lips so close to his ear that her breath tickled. "I. ******** hate. Being pitied. And I don't like being played either." She slapped him across the cheek, hard. The sound echoed in the darkness.

"You better be ******** happy with yourself." Alessa whispered darkly, a tear rolling down her face. Her one c***k in her armor, and before it dropped Ace was hit with a force like a car, slamming him back into his own mind.

Alessa got to her feet, dusting the sand off of her. She marched away stiffly, not even sparing the couple behind her a glance. She was done. So ******** done with everything. And she would rather kill herself than let them see how they got to her.

If heaven's grief brings hell's rain
Then I'd trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday

As Alessa walked a sandy colored wolf fell into step next to her. It nuzzled her hand unsure how to establish the connection with her. He had never willingly let someone into his mind before, not that Tsukiko had ever barged in either.

"Follow me."

He had watched the exchange, he realized how Kat had used him. Ace had used Alessa, and the pair was better off together. Still he could at least try and be a friend to the girl. They butted heads, but he had always respected her. It took guts to stand up to someone, and in his worry for Tsukiko she had stood up to him. Demanded the safety of the others.

Trotting a few paces ahead the wolf lead her to one of the many secluded sides to the island. The wolf glowed, his shape changing into that of a young man. Sorrowful green eyes watched he as he beacon his head for her to follow him. "I found this while snooping around, I've been meaning to show it to you...but with Miya dealing with Kry....Then Tsukiko's....mental absence I hadn't found the time." He entered a building first, but still holding the door for her.

It was a small empty room decorated the same way the others where when they arrived here three months ago. Pressing his hand to the wall a rune appeared and began glowing brightly under his touch. Muttering a incantation under his breath only to have several more runes appear before glowing brightly and connecting.

"Will you follow me?"

Oh, I want to teach you a lesson in the worst kind of way
Still I'd trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday

Forgive me for those words, I know they’re but a cliche to you

Tsukiko couldn't help roll her eyes at Kry as he spoke. He was far from the most powerful creature here. Rather than bringing it to his attention she let him believe whatever he wished. He was none of her concern any longer. Looking forward to the cave she couldn't help but feel drawn in by the adventure.

Then an all familiar scent filled her body. Her eyes widened as she pushed her friends aside. Wings appearing on her back as she launched forward to the mouth of the cave.

Magic

There was magic on this island, and someone had just activated it.

"Don't go in there, you'll die!" She screamed as she landed in front of the group. White runes appearing all around the mouth of cave. Realizing what was happening she shot a panicked look to Kry. "What did I tell you! When will you learn not to mess with things you don't understand!" All those years, all the time she had spent with him. He was never going to learn. Knowing what came next she reached out to him. Knowing Palian and Miya could do nothing to help her here.

Why now?
Had her magic manifested that much that it caused the magic here to finally activate.

The barrier appeared between them closing her in the cave alone.

But life is tiring, my feet are feeling sore.

Kry

Kry had immediately grabbed her hand and let himself get pulled into her grasp behind the barrier. He immediately pulsed a vibranic shield around the two so that nothing, not even magic could get in. After everything the two were alone with the others outside and the two now in magic guarded tunnels, they would have to work together to get out.

Kry cracks his knuckles as he looks at the barrier and the rocks that block his view back up to the others. The outside was either directly through the walls which could cause a cave in, through the barrier, which could cause a cave in, or down, which could have more traps. "Are you alright Tsukiko? You were pretty reckless, but.. It saved lives. I am proud of you for that. Now we should work together to get out. I suggest wherever these tunnels lead instead of a possible cave in by trying to go back, what do you say?" He asks looking down on the winged girl.

Palian

Only when you walk the line of nothingness...

He was ready. When Kry explained the groups arrangement, he was almost giddy with the thought of being in the front line. The dream demon feared nothing as he stepped before the gaping blackness of the cave mouth. He looked over his shoulder to see Tsukiko, giving her a cheeky thumbs up, but the expression on her face was the only clue he had that something was wrong.

His eyes tracked her movements faster than everyone else, but he remained still as she rushed towards them and passed into the cave with Kry in hand before a wall shut them in. Cocking his head to the side like a dogs, he waited, unsure if this was just play.

"No fair Kiko. I thought we were going to play together this time," he said aloud, knowing that she probably heard him because of their link. Scratching his cheek with one finger, he looks about him.

"So do we wait for them to reopen it, or find another way in?" he asked Miya, looking towards the rest of their party.

... Can you truly understand the difference between life and death.

User Image
Jareth

Jareth nodded at the instruction, but when the magic awoke and Kry disappeared behind a magic flare, he looked up sharply. Slamming his fist into the sand where he sat, his irritation was clearly visible by the tightening of his large upper arm muscles.

Without saying a word to anyone, he quickly dig a structural check of the cave, making sure that all the walls were solid. Nothing had triggered a cave in, and he made sure to reinforce the support structures within the walls. He could sense the pressures where Kry and Tsukiko were standing. With a soft humm, he created a stone golem in his image, which appeared near Kry.

He waited for instruction from his friend, whether to reopen the entrance or to lead them safely through the tunnel.

Captain Katanna

Kat realized the moment that Alessa began to use her power in earnest. She felt like she had that one time she'd poked an opossum she thought was dead. It had reared its head and the scar on her hand from its bite was a grim reminder to this day that she really should stop pushing limits.

"s**t, s**t s**t," she thought, but it might as well have been said for all the distinction it would do her hear. All her thoughts seemed to just add to the ruckus of the place.

However, before things could get anymore intense, it seemed as if the coldest water was poured over her head. Ace had appeared somehow, and his words reached her in a quick rush as if he felt like he had to hurry and get them out quickly. Maybe he feared Alessa would push him out before he could have his say, but what he said only proved that she would do much worse.

The circus ride came to a lurching halt, slamming Kat's head back into the sand.

Immediately sitting up, Kat barely managed to open her eyes before squeezing them shut again, leaning over and throwing up. She felt pain, mostly as the worlds worst splitting headache. Even after she emptied her stomach, she felt like her stomach was trying to knot itself in an attempt to force its way up and out.

Squinting slightly, she could see the collapsed forms of Alessa and Ace. She felt nothing but another wave of nausea, so closed her eyes and tried to cup a little shade with one hand over them. Not trusting her weak legs to hold her up, she crawled towards the sound of the gently lapping waves. When her fingers touched water, she knelt closer and tried to clean her face of the sweat and bile.

"Damn it, " she croaked when her skin burned from the salt, but it was better than having vomit all over herself. Her mind was going a mile a minute, trying to make more sense of what happened. But the more it became clear, the more she started to feel sick. He really chose her. He didn't have to, but he did. After all this time.

Then she heard someone rustling behind her. Instinctively, she reached for her dagger, but found it was missing from her belt. Practically blind, sick and feeling the pains of battle, she waited. Only when the footsteps retreated and all she could hear was the lapping water and the creaking of her beloved ship, did she relax fractionally.

Someone once told me that life was too precious to waste. . .

Nemo watched her perusal, loving how she made such a novel thing seem like the most normal. It wasn't everyday that people can just stroll up to an authentic pirate outpost and trade for pilfered goods. Yet, somehow it seemed to fit in with all the other crazy things that'd happened since their arrival to the island. Their one safe haven in an otherwise hostile world. He hoped that most of the students would be content to just make a new life here for good. It had to be better than anything they could hope to glean across those open waters.

He was pulled from his reverie when Fyte bounded back to him, a bottle of root beer in hand. She looked so pleased when she held it out to him for inspection. He loved seeing that look on her face.

"Sure, but we'll need something a little more solid to go with a treat like that." He let her continue looking around while he finished up. Wandering the rest of the food area, he also grabbed two bagels and two cans from off the shelf. Bringing his combined finds to the main counter, he hands the kids managing the trades his slip. The kid nodded, made a notch mark on his slip and handed it back. As Nemo turned around with his arms full, Fyte appeared to help hold the bottles.

"I believe we are all set to go. It may not seem much, but if you trust in my ingenuity, then I believe I can make us something to eat with this." He shows her the can of spam and pineapple as they walk back out into the open air. Looking both ways, he takes a path that if properly navigate, would lead to Kry's camp. As it was, they would only go so far as to find an empty part of the beach to hang out in peace.

Leading the way, Nemo was excited when they came upon a wonderful little beach with big leafy trees creating a natural overhang above the sand slope. Someone had come along and hung several hammocks between the trunks, making the whole thing very relaxing in appearance.

"I think this'll do just fine."

. . . I wonder if I can return the favor.

ֆ In this great length of time that has no limit or end…

When she felt something fluffy brush her hand, two things happened. First, his voice appeared in her head like always, but at the contact, she actually felt her power trigger. Her powers started to tendril out, trying to reach deeper into his mind. Taking a deep breath, she willed her powers back, surprised at how it obeyed her now. Funny that only after her world comes apart at the seams that she finally has control over her powers.

Still, she was skeptical, cynical even. The rejection had burned her heart, leaving it cold, hurt, and charred. Why would anyone, Ryo of all people, want to be around her now? Especially after he had a front row seat of her undoing. Still, she needed to get away from Ace and Kat, and yet she didn't trust herself to be alone, not when she was a complete wreck. So she followed him. Something about his demeanor told her she could trust him, despite their previous encounters. When he stopped inside the old building, she folded her arms, as if hugging herself.

"Why? Why are you being so nice to me? Why aren't you screaming that I'm a danger to others, why are you even being so close to me? You practically scolded me not even half an hour ago, and before that we never met eye to eye. Why now?" She voiced her questions, her voice quiet, almost raspy. Suddenly she felt so tired, tired of everything, tired of life. A sigh escaped her. "You were right though.....I should have been mad at him from the start. I...I just couldn't see it earlier."

Alessa looked at Ryo, really observing him for the first time. He was different from his sister, for which she was grateful for. And he was more stable than his friend Tsukiko. But still, he had people to go back to. Why waste his time with someone as broken as her?

…Even if the two of us get separated someday, I'll find you ֆ

Ace Price

He was awake and in pain. The headache was all to real and the verbal assault from Alessa was all too deep as her words sank in. He knew she would be angry, spiteful, and even sad or depressed by what he just said, but he never expected her to be that harmful. She was wrong with everything she said, he never once pitied her or looked down on her, but that was for a different time. She probably didn't even want to see Ace now. Holding his head he looked over to see Kat looking in about the same pain as him, so she probably knew what he was dealing with if not the emotional damage.

He slowly made his way over to Kat, crawling at first, but finally managed to stand up and put his arm out to let her be his crutch to stand up as well. He wasn't too sure what to say honestly to his best friend as he basically just confessed and pronounced his love to her over the woman she was just fighting, but he didn't want things to be awkward between them so he sucked it up, smiled, and started speaking."...I think that was as painful as I thought it was going to be... So do you accept my confession?" He asked blushing and kind of quietly. Still holding his head with his free hand he was pretty certain she did accept it, but for some reason there was a lingering fear that she would say no.

There was a soft breeze on the beach as the two remained the only ones in sight as Alessa had gone off with Ryo it seemed almost spinting down the beach. Well that is what it appeared to be as he wasn't even able to get in a word before they were gone. He sighs and looks into the eyes of the woman he had known for what seemed like forever and hoped something good was going to come of this. He had been in what seemed like a downward spiral of depression lately and he didn't feel like he had an out.
