Sam shot Ami a strange look, opened her mouth to say something-
- When another straggler, that was not midget or blonde but sort of tall and blonde, seemed to pop, or rather slide, right into their little gathering, thankfully missing any of the acidic pools.
"Oh great, another one." She rolled her eyes and watched as Gale's scarf all but dissolved as well through the water. "Anyone pick up any Runic weapons? Long ones, chains, bandages, something durable? We can maybe give it a shot that way."
Sam gave Lawr a wry smile. "Looks like you lucked out of weapons, sorry. We're just debating a small problem here, if you want to take a look." She pointed at the pool, and the glittering gold at the bottom of it.

The key clicked easily into the first set of drawers. It slid open just as easily-
- As loud music began to blast the rooms. A voice began to speak.
"There is a beginning and an end and a beginning. Everything is a circle, what created you as Hunters will undo you as Hunters. A test once used for survival is now used for greed. These are no longer nameless faces that you fight against. These are what you your allies. And yet, you are faced with a perplexing problem. There are six in this room and only five may leave. Is it better to stay with your allies and die together a terrible death or abandon all morale and leave one behind?"
The shadows shifted again to the north as the ticking noise grew steadily louder. Several scorpions still scattered around but they were for the most part harmless.

PVP is okay at any point in time, just keep track of your HP. You cannot attack until your opponent has attacked back. This IS battle royale - a player can indeed be attacked by a group so play your odds carefully!

Water in the room had risen to their knees. There was also a strange electric noise in the distance. Whatever they were doing, they better move fast.
OOC
THE MAZE: - Your characters can either choose to move TOGETHER, in groups of 2, 3, 4, or 5, or separately. If they're moving separately, you can go ahead and icly split them off. If TOGETHER, make sure you icly state who you're moving with, and then only one person leading has to roll. It means the leading person will find all the loot as well, which they can choose to share as they wish.
- Your goal is to find the EXIT of the maze. You can take a total of four "moves" at a time by rolling 4 6-sided dice. If odd you moved left, if even you moved right. You can continue rolling 4-6 sided dice for as long as you need until you find the exit.
- If you move 10 odds and 10 evens cumulatively, you find the exit! - If at any point you roll 6 1's cumulatively in all your rolls you end up back at the entrance again! You have to regather your rolls/ they reset. - If at any point you roll 6 6's cumulatively before your rolls reset you have found yourself a nifty set of Runic Daggers. These do 2d6-4 damage for 5 turns. - For each 3 you roll, take -1 damage from the falling and crumbling ceiling

She gave a grateful nod without looking at Abbi, her eyes fixed to the cabinet just in case. But it sounded like Dory had finally woken up. Excellent! "I'm aware," Stormy replied calmly, though on the inside her innards twisted. "Just make sure you're armed, Dory-an, and then step away." Just focus on the task at hand, not the ticking for now.
"The shadows," Stormy answered Mimsy. "From the thing on the ceiling. The shadows might point the way. It led me to the key at least." Where it would point them now, though, well, that was another question entirely.
As she opened the drawer, however, it seemed they were beginning to draw some attention. Loud music and a booming voice assaulted her ears, each word chilling her until she was almost shivering by its end. No. No.No.
This time she was glad Thane wasn't around; he would have been nothing more than a nuisance in her head.
She then quickly turned to the group, her hands cold and sweaty. "That's--We don't have to listen," she said shakily. "There's got to be another way out, there has to." Stormy's eyes trailed to the north cabinet and then back to the group. "I can keep unlocking things, maybe there's a pattern. I-If we just kill the scorpions, we can buy some time."
Even if underneath that shallow layer of optimism lied a very real despair about the truth of the situation, tick tick ticking away.

He didn't recognize the figure, Gale lifting his head finally to cast a slightly wary look at the older man. He was only vaguely familiar, but for the most part generally new, and Gale gave him a small nod before looking back at Sam, and actually acknowledging her presence, giving a little sigh.
"I have runic bandages," he said, digging into his pocket for them. "Not sure if they'll help, but we can see."
[Delta] "I'm not dying here," she snapped irritably at Taym as they trudged through the worryingly steady rising water. It was getting harder to walk, each step took a little more effort. What was knee high for everyone else was thigh deep for Peyton. Maybe she should have waited, made sure everyone was with them, but she didn't stop, and she didn't look back again. If they followed, then they followed. If not.. ? Well, they'd made their choice, right?
She kept picking directions almost at random, barely pausing now as the water continued to climb. Fear was fueling her on faster, and the cold was making her whole body shake with great tremors, teeth chattering loudly. Maybe they'd get hypothermia before they drowned. Wouldn't that be fun.
Maybe it was the sound of voices bouncing between damp stone walls. Maybe it was the water, but something managed to disturb the cracked ceiling above and heavy pieces began to rain down on top of them. Peyton winced as something struck her cheek, and she jerked, backing into the wall as she pressed a hand over her face, another against the back of her neck. Huddling into as small a target as possible even as more heavy chunks of stone hit her shoulders and head.

Melvin heard the voice, blaring out with a simple statement. They were placed here to play a game. To be toyed, but the rules remained. One had to stay here.
I have to find Rin.
The bugs caused him to jump, and he stepped back from the ticking pile of weapons and imagined great big bugs moving underneath. Just like the desert, desperate to crawl inside. Ticking meant time - it meant time was wasting.
"We don't have time." He muttered, before a scorpion moved his way.
Eyes wide and heart racing, he shot at it. He needed to keep the bug away. Away from inside.

As Ian examined each puddle, it seemed to flicker and glow a bit, almost invitingly. However, when Cass touched it, there was a loud crackle as electricity jolted out from the water. She convulsed uncontrollably for a few seconds before lying on the ground paralyzed, eyes still open. She was barely breathing.
The box that Jack that Finn had picked up the bandages also had a note wedged inside. It read in tiny print, only large enough for Finn to read.
"One of your group has a concealed weapon and yet they did not tell anyone else. What happens to the rest when every single other option runs dry?"
The walls, still coated on one side with a light poisonous gas, began to shake. And slowly, very slowly, close in. The corridor thankfully at the end split into two paths, but it would require a lot of running. Both left and right paths branched into darkness.

Cass is fully paralyzed! She also takes - 5 damage! The skin of her hand that made contact with the water is charred. She cannot move unless carried by two people. The two people carrying her cannot attack. She also has the option of being healed by the bandages that will cure the paralysis

GROUP PHI - Wilson, Rin, Milo and Sol
Something burst from the sand, but it moved too quickly, just flashes of black and thousands of tiny needle-like legs -
- And then Rin had disappeared into the sand. In her wake, there was a long, narrow hole, leading downwards, the drop of unknown height.
Giving a big old "Fffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuccck", he lightly grasped his head with one hand, while whipping the blade over to slam in to a scorpion. He may, or may not have used more power than he anticipated, but seriously, volumn control, bitches.
"On pourrait penser que les gens . . Where are the shadows pointing then?" He murmured, before looking up to Stormy. He really wanted to know more about the ticking, though, and didn't depart too far away from pile, sword still in hand.
And then Milo finally landed somewhere with a group of people. "Sup guys." He greeted wearily. Wait, dunes? Sand? What? Where the hell was he? Squiiiint.
Did someone... just go missing? He could have sworn there was one more person when he got here. There was something odd going on with the sand apparently (surprise, surprise) and when Milo haphazardly toed at a post, digging lamely at it. Well, something exploded and he found himself thrown back a bit. Ow.

It seemed there was a small piece of paper wedged inside the box, and Finn placed an index finger inside, prying it out with a fingernail and unfolding it carefully, concealing what he was doing by making a show of examining the inside.
He read the words, and had a moment to completely what the ******** over them, when Cass got herself electrocuted. <******** hell!" He growled, slipping the paper into his hand and tucking the box under one arm. "You tell Jack not to touch the walls then stick your hand in something yourself just..." He probably would have said more, except she looked pretty hurt and possibly even dead...
Well s**t.
Finn rushed over to her side to check for a pulse. "******** sakes. Jack, come help me lift her up."
The response that Mimsy received from Stormy was not met with any argument, primarily due to the fact that a blaringly obvious clue presented itself in the next instant. Something clicked into place at the mention of circles and endless cycles, and a deeply uncomfortable look was knit into her brow as she turned her attention to her arm, fixating on the scarred brand of a circle.
The ticking grew louder in her ears, the countdown to the inevitable. She tried to shut it out with her thoughts, but it only became a mess of realizations, and the steady sound felt like it was pushing her--
These were not her allies.
This was not a perplexing problem.
And she had never carried morality into this room.
"This is elementary math," she spat, filled with bitter disgust at the claims made by the voice in the box. They were wrong. (She didn't want to be her.) She refused to even give the impression of complacency at the idea of whatever semblance of ridiculous honor came along with dying for the sake of friendship.
"If you are all too inept for simple subtraction, I will solve this problem myself."
She swung the scythe towards the 'ally' that was easiest to reach, stopping just short of Abbi's neck.

Nothing under the sand here either, even though he was only kind of looking - and not even sure what he was looking for. Still had the uneasy feeling they lost someone. Milo flicked his attention to Mark and then to Solomon a few times; Mark seemed like an authoritative figure and he just knew Solomon.
