@Nari: Sorry for the belated response, but my condolences.

Re: guild rp stuff -- As much as I love the guild, I don't see the rp getting back up on its feet with just the three of us, especially since we don't all have the same availability. On another note, I don't know how well it would do if we took the rp to a new site because its tied in to Gaia's storyline and setting. Even if the guild did migrate and start to recruit other people, they probably wouldn't understand the Gaia setting unless they were formerly on Gaia themselves.

Anyway, I just wanted to come check in and say hi. My schedule is back up to four classes this quarter, financial aid is being a b***h and not returning my parents calls even though they need to speak directly to my parents to get information about the Federal Direct Parent Plus loan that is supposed to be covering the rest of my tuition so until then they're telling me I've got crazy high past due payments because they can't get their s**t together---- ugh... sorry [/rant].
I'm in PreProduction Team which is a class that acts like a small animation studio. I've been put in charge of rigging the 3D models to move which is what I've been spending most of the last two weeks learning about. I've built a working skeleton so far and will be working on the facial controls next.
Meanwhile I'm also in 3D Character modeling which I've already failed 3 times because I can't model to save my life and I end up putting my homework off because it's frustrating and then I fail...
I'm also learning 3D visual effect which is neat. It's all about particle generators and how to create added effects to finish animation (like flames/blowing grass/rain/ etc).
I really shouldn't have put off all the 3D classes til the end, but I'm really not a fan... of course now that means I'm taking all of them at once but.. nothing I can do about that now.
I'm also in my second portfolio class which I haven't been producing anything for because I've been too focused on my other ones. Here's a link to my side blog on tumblr that I'm using for my artwork: [x]. I posted some of my portfolio pages there.

We're not exactly dead yet. We still need a few posts before stuff is wrapped up even somewhat. If you're stuck with writer's block, bounce ideas off figurative walls with someone until something sticks.

As for revision, nothing else about setting and characters has come up so I guess we can call that done (we'll improvise the rest). It would be very helpful to come up with some 'pilot' plot to start the next thread with soon-ish, unless you all wanna start with small character stuff instead.

I've been more or less hiding in headspace for the past few months. And trying to meet people and form lasting friendships/etc, but you know how that goes. mad

I did get the chance to expand on my other ideas and throw in some new ones while in that headspace-escapism, so it's not wasted time.

and I don't have a computer anymore. I punched it again, and now the hard drive is shot and the motherboard is cracked. so even with a new hard drive it won't access the internet. without a new hard drive, it doesn't boot. and the screen is still cracked. so... I need to replace it.

I'm on a school computer right now. I have very limited computer access now. so I'll be able to post, but not much. forgive me for slow replies.

This kind of plot won't be so easy as just the group walking into a fabric store, nor is it one that's to be focused on (it's more of a background/side plot for those who were present), yet I don't want to drag people around by the nose and lead them into somewhere unrelated. I also don't wanna dump a big group of people into revised Serole for various reasons.

Brainstorming ahead:
I'm thinking Twi goes to that fabric store (wherever it is) as intended, because he knows what he's doing with portal travel, but the rest of the group ends up somewhere only vaguely related (the hotel's boutique/gift shop, which features some clothing on display) because they don't.

One problem is that Twi has the drawing and could theoretically complete it himself, if he were able to get into Serole often enough. It would turn his role nearly solo.

...unless he wants a Twi vs group dynamic, where Twi is helping [???] while the group ends up forgetting about the whole quest until they eventually encounter some stuff.

(As I said, I'm just brainstorming; not everything's clear.)

Somebody (probably me) mentioned something or other about when the gang arrives in the revised world and becomes their revised selves, for a short while they've still got their pre-revision personalities and memories but quickly assimilate, as if there was nothing other than the revised universe.

Twi would be an exception to this, as I remember he wanted to keep his character's history all in one continuity. Waffle and Sabe are also exceptions, but in a different way (figure that one out) and for different reasons (not for continuity, but for story reasons).

I don't blame you, it was at least a few months ago.

I remember getting everyone's permission prior to cleaning out the forums and making new threads, and getting permission again to go forward with revision.

I haven't made the new RP thread yet, but the content depends on how the previous one goes. I'm deciding whether to feature the switch in the last post of the old thread or in the opening of the new one.
