V'lay - T'ni's Stall 4 3/4 marks
Fair prices. Very fair prices. And ever-so slightly out of V'lay's price range. Faranth, why had he decided to play the ring-toss. "Let's see...so that'd be five for the pair..." he frowned slightly and dug into his pocket, pulling out his mark-pieces and counting them. "I have...four and three-quarters here. Made a mistake trying to play the ring toss back over there - stupid choice, obviously." He shrugged a little bit. That was what Gathers were for, right? Stupid, stupid impulse buys that then ruined your chance at picking up other things along the way. "Any chance you could cut a quarter-mark off as a package deal? If not - don't worry, I understand. I'd be glad to take just the tree and I'll even put in for the guide. The fire-flowers can go to someone else." Slight smile. The fact that T'ni was a woman was all but forgotten as V'lay talked shop with someone who understood plants.

Idris – PC Weavers Stall – 7 & 1/2 Marks
A quarter-mark for a scarf seemed perfectly reasonable to Idris. She drew her coin pouch out of her pocket and passed a quarter-mark coin to Kaylen, satisfied with her purchase. “The Dauntless name embroidered on it would be wonderful – perhaps in a lighter color, white or pale blue? As for delivery, I don’t imagine I’ll be difficult to find, just ask for Idris of Singhath.”
C’ross – Ring Toss – 2 & 7/16 Marks
C’ross attempts to get her to go away failed spectacularly; when gently swatted, rather than taking off into the air Trill merely rolled over until she was sprawled across I’saak’s shoulder on the opposite side from her owner. There she crooned again into his ear, preening his short hair.
“No,” C’ross sighed, “she won’t bite, although she’ll probably nibble you a bit.” As if on cue, Trill nibbled thoughtfully on I’saak’s earlobe, not hard enough to pinch, just gently nomming.
“She doesn’t want food,” C’ross explained apologetically. “You said her name and I’ve been training her to come when she’s called. Just tell her that she’s a good flit and she’ll probably lose interest.” Probably.

I'saak - Ring Toss 2 1/8 marks - 24 points
And then there was a flit sprawled on his shoulder. I'saak stayed as still as he possibly could so as not to dislodge Trill, and when C'ross informed him that she wouldn't bite, he relaxed a little bit. "Good flit," he said, then twitched as the crimson's little muzzle closed on his earlobe. "Yeah...that feels weird," he said, grimacing slightly and turning his head to make it harder for Trill to get at his ears. "You are a good girl, though," he said, quietly fond.
And then he passed over another quarter-mark to the stallkeeper and tried another toss. He was doing fairly well so far, no reason to stop now.

The Nozomi Siata - NPC Leatherworker Argo 5marks
"Good afternoon si... Ma'am." The leather worker recovered smoothly from the slip with a slight bow. Dark eyes took in the obviously battered state of the tall woman but showed no pity and passed no judgement. "The vest is two marks. If it needs any adjustment to fit you I would be happy to do that for no extra fee." He would usually make a small charge for his time and effort... but perhaps not today.
The Nozomi Rochelle - NPC Weavercrafter Stall 4.5marks
"Welcome," Lyn smiled warmly and gestured around the stall. "Let me know if you need anything, I'm here to help."
"Oh, I'm sorry sir I am but the prices stand as they are," T'ni replied with a shake of her head. "The guide and tools I can do for you for half a mark. They're tiny things, the tools, it takes a skilled smith to craft them." As spoke spoke she glided around her stall to pick up a roll of leather, unfolding it to reveal tiny branch cutters, pruning shears, tweezers and few few other things which were presumably explained in the neatly handwritten pamphlet that nestled in one side of the package.

F'itz - T'ni's stall (5 marks)He wasn't nosey, he'd merely spotted his fellow veteran Benden rider and drifted over. Quiet reserved man that he was F'itz didn't barge into the conversation about plants. He couldn't quite understand how anyone could get so interested in them but Brumath was thinking all sorts of poetic things in his mind. F'itz shrugged and cleared his throat. "V'lay... if you would really like both things, and the little tools, I would be happy to make you a loan. I can't imagine I'll find too much to take my fancy here today." He hoped the blue rider didn't find the offer insulting, some people could be tetchy about money, even though it wasn't as though he was making a gift that would put him under unspecified obligations.

Siata - NPC Leatherworker Argo 5marks Rolling for Haggling 5 +1 for charming = 6
Siata faltered only slightly when he nearly finished the word, keeping her eyes on the vest. She ran her fingers over the hem, the decoration, and smiled. People smiled, battered or not, and she glanced back to the salesman. "That's very generous of you. I don't suppose any attempt to sweet talk into further generosity would be a go, eh?"

C'tis - NPC weaversC'tis groaned, but only slightly. "Alright, let's go then!" Might as well get it over with. When they arrived at the weavers' stall he looked briefly baffled by the expectation that he would have an opinion on colour, but after inspecting all the colours available in that style he nodded. "Err, yes? The cream's nice? The trousers are too... I wouldn't go with cream shirt and cream trousers. I think it would look weird, but what do I know? Bereck - PC weavers. 5 7/32 (nearly 1/4)"That sounds good," Bereck agreed. "I'll see you later Becka," he went on with a nod to his apprentice, well former apprentice really he supposed. "Enjoy the rest of the gather." With that he turned and started off beside Alina, but soon paused when she did the same herself. "Mmmh? Well it is a gather," he replied, "I think half the point is an excuse to be frivolous." What was she looking at? Following Alina's line of sight he spotted a weavers' stall where a range of wares were displayed. ...The Benden gold rider was looking at a dress, not just any dress but a green dress. Bereck's brows raised and he dropped his voice so that it would only be audible to Alina. "Well, I thought that hue beneath her notice." Then, audibly, he said; "What were you looking at?" and started towards the stall.

Rochelle - NPC Weavercrafter Stall 4.5marks
"Whine whine, that's all I hear when you grumble about things like this. Whiiine," She tapered off, well aware she was being quite annoying herself. The glasscrafter grinned at Lyn. "Cream and cream would make me look like a tuber again. You know enough apparently, C'tis - ah, ma'am, can I get cream shirt and a pair of black trousers?"
Going shopping didn't mean she liked to take her time; clothes were meant to be bought and worn, not languished over for ungodly amounts of time.
-----
Alina - PC Weavers 8 marks
Until Bereck spoke Alina hadn't even noticed the younger woman looking at the dress. She hesitated, one hand on the box, the other fiddling with the rose. The only reason she started back up again was to follow Bereck on his way to the stall. She kept her voice soft, only for him. "I'd been looking at the color beneath her notice, actually," She murmured, still somewhat hesitant. "But..." She didn't enjoy social - and wasn't sure how much she wanted to chance a confrontation. The dress was lovely, though, and nearly Berath's color. He'd liked the last one she wore.

Kiril – T’lon’s Stall – 5 Marks
Oh, that was wonderful! Kiril watched with rapt attention as T’lon whistled a signal to his firelizards and they echoed the scale on his panpipes. “That’s an absolutely fascinating trick. My brother has a pair of firelizards that he uses to send messages sometimes, but I didn’t know they could be trained to sing, too!”
Perhaps the next time Cress and Quickfire stopped by, he could try to... No, that would probably be rude. Training someone else’s firelizards without their permission. Not that he thought S’dekai would mind, but Kiril somehow didn’t think his rider brother would be as excited about singing firelizards as he was.
“I’m sorry, I completely forgot to introduce myself. Kiril, Journeyman Harper. Newly posted to Trine.” He smiled hopefully at T’lon, hoping his next question wouldn’t come across as too tactless. “I hope they haven’t been making you play too hard – your voice sounds a bit hoarse.”
C’ross – Ring Toss – 2 & 7/16 Marks
As C’ross had said, it seemed that hearing the word good was enough to satisfy Trill. She was a good flit! She had done a good job. She gave I’saak one last affectionate preen that made all his hair on one side stick up. Then she hopped neatly off her perch, wings outspread, and glided around in a long loop to alight on C’ross’ arm.
“Are you going for the egg?” he asked I’saak. Surely the greenweyrling had accumulated enough points to buy everything he wanted from the prize shop... C’ross had lost count, but he’d seen at least twenty points worth of tosses go by while he was distracted.

The Nozomi Siata - NPC Leatherworker Argo 5marks
Argo gave a soft deep chuckle, smooth and rich as melted dark chocolate. "I'm afraid not," he replied, "but I stand by my offer of alterations. If it's too big I will take it in for you, if it's too small I can make the toggles at the front longer, add small panels at the sides, or open the sides up and add lacing for you. I've thick dark leather lacing that would match the knotwork very nicely."

Siata - NPC Leatherworker Argo 3 marks now
"You wound me to the very core. It's a sad day," The wherhandler grinned back a him when he chuckled, shifting slightly to grab at her marks with her good hand. When she handed them to the Crafter, Siata paused and offered him a lopsided smile, fainter than the grin. "Can I give you my measurements? I had them taken before I came out here, just in case, but it's rather difficult for me to get in and out, with the sling and ribs and all. And that is very nice of you, thanks."

T'lon: T'lon's stall 3 Marks
T'lon nodded at Kiril's introduction, and offered one of his own. "T'lon, Apprentice," he said quietly, then in a slightly louder and prouder voice he added, "of green Poth," and pointed a thumb over his shoulder at the weyrling behind him.
But at her question he flinched very slightly, almost imperceptibly, and dropped his hands to his lap. He shook his head, cleared his throat in effectually and muttered, "Childhood illness," as an explanation. And that was all anyone would get from him on the subject. At a loss of what else to do - should he start up a new song, or would that be rude? - he tucked aside the pipes and plucked a few idle chords from his guitar.
Echo chirred uneasily. Why was his master unhappy all of a sudden? Piper cheeped, confused. Was he supposed to sing? This wasn't a song he knew, and he'd had no instruction.

V'lay - T'ni's Stall 1 1/4 marks
"Three and a half, then," V'lay said, counting out the mark pieces and passing them over to T'ni. "It's worth it, and I hope you find a good home for that little beauty," he added, nodding in the direction of the bush. He wanted it - definitely wanted it - but fair was fair.
Although apparently a savior had come to his aid at the last second in the form of a Benden brownrider. V'lay startled a little "Oh! Thank you, F'itz - that's incredibly kind of you." Kinder than he had any right to be, since V'lay had abandoned him quite thoroughly during the escape from their old home. The rider pushed that thought aside and gave a half-bow to his fellow Bendenite, fixing him with a genuine smile. "It's a wonderful offer, but I think I'll leave it for someone else. I'm sure there's plenty of other people around who'll appreciate it. It was very kind of you, though," he added, doing everything he could to avoid coming off as defensive or offering any offense to F'itz.
"I think I might go look at other stalls for now," he said, scooping up the roll of tools and slipping it back into his belt-pouch with the remaining marks-pieces he had. "Would you mind if I left the tree with you until I'm done browsing?" he asked T'ni.

I'saak - Ring Toss 2 1/8 marks - 2414 points
"Hmm?" he asked, somewhat absentmindedly, and then - "Oh! I...guess I forgot what this was for. I have..." he paused, counting up the totals. "Oh, twenty-four. That's...that's a lot, isn't it?" Blinking, he tapped his thumb against his chin and looked at the prizes. "Is there anything you want? They have flit harnesses..." Faranth knew I'saak wasn't entirely sure what he would do with the twenty-four points he had managed to accumulate; he had been playing for fun more than for the points or the prizes. He hadn't really thought beyond "toss rings." And now he had twenty-four points to spend.
"I'll um...I want that green -" he said awkwardly, pointing at the firelizard plush C'ross had mentioned looked a bit like Ellibreth. "And..." he selected a brown plush as well, one that looked a bit like Psaumith. It was more or less the right color, at least, and it had red eyes. Lucky. K'yne would probably just stare at him, but it was worth a try. And then...two points left. "What color of the little flits do you think Trill would like best?" he asked C'ross, glancing over at the little crimson. She wasn't bright, but she also wasn't particularly destructive. She'd probably try to befriend the little thing.

Riarna - PC Weavers' StallWith J'nes happily on his way with his purchase, Riarna was free to turn back to the patiently waiting Kindra. "You were inquiring, I believe, into the Gather dress, Weyrwoman. The price is 1 and 3/4 marks. It is plain as it is..." As she turned to run a hand over the dress in question, Riarna's gaze flicked beyond Kindra to another couple arriving at the stall. She returned her eyes to her previous customer. She had put the dress out to be sold, of course, but she had hoped the dress would draw interest from new clients as well. "But with some additions, such as the embroidery on your current piece or even a sash, it would be quite striking. Also, if the style or color isn't exactly to your liking, I have your measurements and would be happy to make something more to your taste." She smiled as Bereck and Alina reached the stall. "Welcome. Feel free to browse. Kaylen or I will be right with you." Well, if she was going to be busy, she and Kaylen might as well take advantage of having one another there-- and potentially give each other sales, as Riarna was attempting to do with Kaylen's scarves-turned-sashes. N'mol - PC Weavers' StallN'mol turned his head and smiled amiably as well at the approaching rider, recognizing the man, if not the woman. He gave them a friendly nod, much to Tyeth's approval, as he waited for Kindra to make a decision.

Rhiannon Chandra Riarna - PC Weavers' Stall Alina wanted the dress? In that case he'd get it for her if he could, he knew how she was with conflict or anything even resembling it. Bereck stepped up to the stall and gave a nod to Riarna, acknowledging the metallic couple with a brief glance, tiny nod, and no more. "The dress is one and three quarters?" he asked rhetorically of the weaver. "I'll give you two for it. Green suits my weyrmate very well." Anyone reading anything into his serious civil tone would have to be really rather paranoid. They'd be correct though. If Kindra wanted the dress when the spoiled girl already had all she could want along with a fat wage she didn't deserve then she could pay through the nose for it. He would prefer to have the dress for Alina than to make Kindra pay extra but it would be a good consolation prize. Never let it be said that he was incapable of being petty at times.
