"Deal," Griffin replied easily. He was mostly relieved that Briar wasn't really hurt, or angry with him. It was hardly surprising that he'd made a target of himself, but he could handle it. "And I'll get you back for getting me back. Just not in the face, next time." The fewer injuries involved in this whole soggy mess, the better.
As Briar aimed a balloon at one of the kids racing past, Griffin tossed one at another, whistling appreciatively as it hit. "Gotta run- more people to hit, you know!" And he was off, running as fast as he could while still making a big show of limping, even though the pain in his knee was pretty much gone.
Derek visibly paled when she kissed the balloon, and again when said kissed balloon hit him. "Arrrrgh! Cooties!" He screeched, trying to wipe, in vain mind you, the water off him as fast as he could manage. Grabbing the nearest balloon he threw it at the girl, only to miss.
"I'VE BEEN INFECTED. NOOOOOOOO."
Kiss of death indeed.

Good Job. You have offically tramatized my disposable. COOKIE FOR YOU <3
Akane liked Derek's reaction. She was proud of herself. She strut around the tubs of balloons with her chest puffed out like a rooster before taking one out to throw. Perhaps she was being too cocky, because the next balloon she threw didn't hit anyone at all.

“Deal too” Briar said nodding. He could live with that – not that it meant that he wouldn’t try and return the favour for any revenge attacks because of course he would – but as long as there weren’t any more suds hits to the face then he was cool with it.
He watched the other head off in one direction, then grabbed another of the water balloons and tossed it at a passing kid, grinning when it made impact – looked like he was back in the game.

Jason was still snickering to himself as he grabed yet another balloon and lobbed it in a great arching throw. He didn't even mind when it splatered against the trunk of a tree, scaring a poor squirle who was wondering if it was safe to come back down yet.

The cat soon deflected onto another poor kid and the teachers were attempting to save the kid and the cat without... getting hurt themselves. One had a really nice fluffy towel for the kitty, Ralph looked a little disappointed, the cat got the best towel?
That matter aside he looked around for a new target.

Marisha pouted as she missed her last target and the girl ran off to another part of the field. She then sighed and grabbed the fallen water balloon. She then ran around looking for the ideal target. Spotting another kid attacking with water balloons she grinned. Running over she aims her shot and throws. Then she watched as the balloon bounced right off without popping.

Maybe it was the fact that he'd gotten close to Briar, or maybe it had more to do with the fact that his whole arm had been submerged in soapsuds. Whatever it was, something trickled down towards Griffin's knee, stinging the scrape and making him yelp. He'd postponed his first aid treatment long enough. It was high time he go and find out just how bad it was.
Marching back to the sidelines, Griffin got the attention of a teacher and pointed at his knee. "Do I need to go to the hospital?"
The teacher looked, smiled, and shook his head. "It's just a scraped knee, Griffin. You'll be fine. Here." He took a single bandaid out of the box in front of him and, after dabbing at the scrape with a damp paper towel, stuck it right on the knee.
Griffin bent his knees once or twice. His terrible injury seemed okay, but he would have to keep an eye on it, to make sure it didn't get any worse. In the meantime, he had other kids to hit. "Thanks!" he called, run-limping back into the fray.
Briar hadn’t forgotten about his promise to Griffin, he was still going to get the other kid – he was just waiting for the right opportunity.
It had presented itself later as the other boy headed back to the field, but Briar had hesitated as Griffin appeared to be heading towards where the teachers were. If the teachers’ had to get involved then it usually meant that something was wrong so Briar held off on targeting Griffin at least for now.
Instead he sent the water balloon in the direction of a boy who seemed to be laughing at something.

Briar targets Jason and manages to hit him with a water balloon.
Jason is just having a good old time and not even careing that he had gotten hit several times and is now soaking again. He grabed a purple balloon and with a 'TIMBER' tossed it high into the air and watched as it arched down to splater on a sort-of familure shirt.

He could feel the soap as he bent his elbow, then clenched his hand into a fist. It was drying on his skin, coating it a little too tightly, pinching him as he moved. He extended each of his fingers, starting with his thumb and ending with his pinky, and then made a fist again. This wouldn't do. It was distracting and unpleasant and probably unsanitary, even though it was soap. The stickiness was sure to act as a magnet for germs. That was how these things worked.
Before he could even start back towards the water fountain, a balloon fell on him from above, bursting on his head and drenching him. Caught completely off guard, Griffin first looked up, then to either side. It was impossible to tell who'd thrown the balloon. Clearly, his only choice was to hit everyone in the yard all over again. That way, he'd be sure to get his revenge on the mystery thrower.
Yes, that was the plan. But first, he trudged back to the water fountain. The balloon had rinsed a bit of the soap off of Griffin's arm, but there were still traces of it left, and as long as they were there, he couldn't concentrate on the game.
Derek glared as the girl paraded around happy that she hit him. He slumped, sulking as he trudged outta firing range, tossing the balloon in hand over his shoulder. The silly thing bounced off the ground, and had the gaul to not even pop.
His next throw was not so lucky, the balloon managing to burst harmlessly against some tree. Unfortunately for Briar, the girl in question had looked over his way just as he’d tossed the balloon and had ended up chasing him.
He’d ended up with a balloon to the back of his head for his trouble.
Undeterred Briar decided to look for a new target and mayhaps even try getting the girl back if the opportunity arose.

Akane laughed so hard when she saw Derek miss that she ended up falling on her back. There she rolled around on the ground and laughed some more. When she finished, she got back up, got a balloon, and tossed it up in her hand before throwing it at Briar. It missed.
Jason grabed for another balloon and feeling luck finally smileing on him, tossed it at the boy who had thrown a balloon at him earler. Jason could see the balloon in his mind, sailing over the ground to splash magicly across the boy's shoulder to drip down his arm and onto his back and chest, so it was with great sadness that Jason witnessed the balloon falling short of his intended target to break and water the grass.
