"Ummm... Hi?" Lilith finally said, overcoming her surprise at how pregnant Scarlett was. She looked like she was ready to burst any minute now. It was a wonder she could even walk little lone move around the house so crowded with stacks of books.
Following Lloyd inside the alchemist's abode, Lilith gave the two some space and busied herself by inspecting the stack of books nearest the door. A few of them were in languages she knew, while the rest were in some sort of code or really confusing looking language.
"And before you ask, no I haven't made any progress with your potion. Although I did get myself outside in time to study that red moon event that occured last night." Scarlett stated, waddling through the maze of stacked books back towards what appeared to be a workshop.

"Still? I know you're hiding a watermelon these days, but you have had no such luck at all? You're killing me here, Red." Groaned Lloyd as he and Lilith followed the alchemist around. She nearly knocked over things with her body swaying left to right.
"You're telling me none of those thirteen books helped at all? I'm counting on you Scarlet"

"As well learned as I am, I could only read eight of the thirteen book's languages so much of my time was spent trying to figure out what languages they are in and where I can learn them." Scarlett answered, carefully planting herself in a worn but well-padded high backed chair behind the desk. "And its not like its common topic, your kind isn't the type the sit down and write a book..."
Lilith couldn't help but snicker at that comment.

Lloyd turned around and clenched a fist at Lilith. "Oh you're not funny at all." He said in a non-serious tone. Sighing, he returned his attention back to his pregnant friend. "Well, you tried. I can't ask for anything more than that. How have you been? I'm sorry I've kinda been gone, you know, it was calling again."
The Blood Knight had up and left her, much like her would time and time again. He didn't want to hurt her and her child by accident because the blood lust took over...

Scarlett shrugs. "As good as one can be in my condition." She answered plainly, "Knocked over a few stacks of books here and there but nothing major..."
"Oh come on, that was funny." Lilith countered, crossing her arms across her chest. "I had you writing my journal while my arm was broken..."

"Yeah, yeah, I remember. Just when I was getting used to the writing." He mutters underneath his breath. Truth be told, he didn't mind the writing.
"I'm glad you're doing alright. THought you would have the baby by now though. Guess I came just in time, huh?"

The alchemist shrugs again. "I suppose it for the best that I didn't have it while you were gone. Childbirth is one of those things you want to have some helping hands for... or so I've read." She replied, gently rubbing her giant swell of a belly.
"So the baby is Lloyd's?" Lilith asked, leaning against a nearby wall as she tried to sort through this confusing encounter.

"Mine? Not at all." Lloyd looked at Lilith was crazy. Scarlett wanted no part in pursuing anything like that with him. Simply reliable friends that had each other's back. Except for belly rubs and foot massages, he wouldn't do it.
"She got into a fling with this guy named Mathias a couple months back. He left her behind and gave her this as a parting gift. I told her that he was strange, but no one listens to me."

(Are we going to do anything with this Mathias guy or was that just a random name you picked out of the sky?)
"Ah ok, was just trying straightening out my thoughts." Lilith says, holding up her hands in surrender before backing out of the conversation again.
"Yeah, I should have listened to dear Lloyd here but I couldn't control myself. I felt... drawn to him for some odd reason." Scarlett added, hanging her head in shame as Lloyd rubbed her mistake in her face.

Lloyd did what anyone would do a a time like this. He wrapped his arms around pregnant alchemist from being her chair and into a warm comforting hug.
"Hey, it's alright Red. I don't blame you any." He said to Scarlett. How he wished to not be right. A part of him once thought it was just a stroke of jealousy, but it really was him trying to warn her about the knight that swept her off her feet.

Scarlett fell into Lloyd's embrace and quietly began to cry on his shoulder. "I know... but I should have... known better. It just seemed... like something right out... of my books. To find someone who seemed... like your perfect match." She muttered, "And now look at me... I'm not ready to be a mother... little lone a single one..."
"Ever the thoughtful caring one aren't we Lloyd?" Lilith commented from her corner of the room where she randomly thumbed through some books. "Offer her a massage." she mouthed, catching Lloyd's eyes over before he could say something back.

"You won't be, I'll be around to help you." Said Lloyd, of course he was thoughtful. He cared about Scarlett, he hated seeing her cry like this. His eyes caught Lilith's attention. He wanted to decline, but she probably knew what was best. He began to rub Scarlett's shoulders.
"You wanted a happy ending, nothing wrong in wanting that for yourself. I know you're not ready, but I'm sure this child will bring some comfort to you."

"You... promise?" Scarlett asks, looking up at Lloyd after peeling her face from his shoulder.
Taking his massage as a yes, Scarlett tightens her grip around Lloyd's chest as she hugs him again, this time her eyes filling with tears of joy.
"And if its any comfort, I have some medical training which covered childbirth..." Lilith adds.

"They really make you're prepared for anything..." Muttered Lloyd, he couldn't believe he was doing this. Well, at least it was making her happy. And to be fair, she gave great hugs.
"No more tears, alright?"

Lilith shrugs. "Can't fix something if you don't know what's wrong in the first place..."
"Fine... but you have to hang around till I give birth." Scarlett countered, "I have a feeling it won't be long now and your friends medical knowledge will surely come in handy."
