You know he was pretty tired, this was getting harder and harder to accomplish. But still, he wasn't going to give up. Not... quite yet. He huffed as he lunged at the thing again, realizing it was seeming to end up just as slow as he was. Catching it he managed to knock it again and left it reeling a bit from the hit.
HAH. Actually that might have been out loud. The thing wobbled back up to it's feet though, glowing eyes trailing back to him as it raked him in a similar fashion as before and left a nice long tear in his clothes as well as arm again.
Still he could feel the end coming. For both of them maybe?

Just one last bit. He quickly flung the nearest thing to him at the small creature, which ended up being another book, and watched it clonk the thing on the head as he dribbled down into the floor. Which seemed to send some of the other's packing as well as he looked around. A few quiet squeaks came from under his bed as he slowly shifted to sit on the ground and catch his breath a bit.
Ow. Everything hurt. He really didn't want to get up.
Still, he had to figure out was going on before more of these things came. Did it have anything to do with that odd dream? Nightmare? Whatever. Either way he glanced at the group of minipets who were emerging from where they'd taken cover to watch him carefully. "Yea... let's... hide you somewhere before I go." He mumbled more to himself than anything as he got up and started for the rather large closet. Maybe locking them in there was a good idea?
He didn't want to leave the door open, he assumed there were probably things all over the dorms. So after a quick look to ensure no further shadows were moving in the closet he ushered his pets in and locked it with a bowl of water and food. Then a quick snatch at the first now gnawed on robe he could find... which looked new? Had his brother snuck the thing in? Whatever. Some plain pants and he was out the door to find a teacher of some sort.
They might know.
As he closed his door behind him he listened happily to the click of the lock, hoping it was enough before he ran down the hall. It was sort of a rushed thing, seeing as how more of the shadows were roaming the halls and popping up as he went.

Millie felt very groggy. For some reason it was difficult to wake up. This alone had Millie sit upright very quickly.
"Did I oversleep?" She yelled at her catalarm... which was absent from her desk. Looking around the room, she noticed many of her books were missing too. Glowing, blinking eyes in the corner caught her attention.
"What are you?" she asked the minipet. "And where's my stuff?"
Noise from the corner and a small shadow told Millie exactly where her stuff was.
"Eeeeeee!" Millie shrieked, leaping out of bed and attacking the nearest creature. "Stop eating my stuff!"

She managed to hit the creature with a lucky strike the first time, but as she had just woken up, Millie wasn't prepared for how quick these little shadows were.
The creature looked up at her and easily leapt aside as she tried to attack again with her fists.

Tripping over her rug that was being eaten out from underneath her, Millie looked dumbfounded at these creatures. Minipets didn't attack students.... What was going on?

Micail growled and bared his fangs at the shadow creature. Messing with his tunes? It was going to pay. He quickly stood and rushed the creature. The thing didn't even seem all that concerned with him and just went about eating more of his things even as he closed in on it. Once close enough, Micail threw a punch right at it. He had been sure it would hit... till the thing melted into the shadow of the floor. "What the!" He stood a little surprised at what just happened. "Alright... Nice trick." He snarled. "Where'd you go..." He glanced around his room. All movement had stopped. If this thing could blend in with the shadows... He kept his eyes and ears open, listening for the strange sound it made. Then it came from his left. He quickly turned and saw the thing coming right at him. Jaws open and everything. Micail raised his left arm and the shadowling's jaws clamped down tight. Oh well... it was better then any other part of his body. "Is that the best you can do?" He smirked and sent a right hook a it. This time his fist connected with the shadow creature. His punch sent it flying into the nearest wall. "Ha... I barely felt that." He held a clawed hand. "Going to have to do better then that to bring me down."

She wasn't sure when she entered that strange room, how she had gotten there, what was happening before then. Instead she found herself on a large disc of glass. Inside her own image was reflected upward laying in a circle arms crossed with a weary look on her face. All around it smaller images appeared of other students, hunters, people tied to her life.
What was more interesting was to her left. A large wall of glass, herself in the middle head bowed hands held out almost passive. On her left a large portrait of Siddie somber and reaching towards Sammy's left hand the ghoul seemed to be smiling softly. On her right Shehk, a single crack seeming to run through her image as she too reached to Sammy's right hand, though her face looked far less at peace then Sammy or Siddie.
Above it all a beast a twisted wolf and dragon arched over, wings wrapping around the whole image with archs of blue and twsited runes decorated the outer edges.
She turned away, the images tucked between the larger ones told stories she didn't feel like dreaming on. She didn't ask to be faced with this right now, her life was getting better wasn't it? Why did she have to think about it all right now?
It was then she noticed the three items, a staff, a crown, a sword. Memories of another world leaked into her own mind as she stared at the crown, where they connected? She wasn't sure. She looked to the sword, warmth and comfort radiated from the weapon. It was what was in the middle that finally caught her eyes.
The staff seemed to thirst, power radiated from it, deadly and powerful, something she could protect with the way she knew best how too. By fighting.
Sammy walked towards the staff a bone hand reaching towards it before her fingers could wrap around it the glass below was crumbling the world falling out from under her she started to tumble.
Her eyes flickered to life, purple flames filling out as she awoke from the odd dream. The world pieced together flickering in focus when she noticed golden eyes watching over her from around the room, some moved to eat, others watched curiously still.
"W-what?"
One of them lunged at her.
It clawed at her briefly but she rolled to the side and grasped at the creature throwing it harder at the wall causing it to bounce and hiss.
"The Jack is going on~!?" All around the other shadows slid away leaving only the one angry blob of darkness in her room.

Now that she was awake- wide awake- Danny understood the situation- sort of. Something was in her room and biting her. Probably a stray minipet that had wandered in from her closet.
Either way, it wasn't welcome in her room. "Look dude," she said, still laying in bed, "I know you wanna play, but I gotta like ... sleep 'n stuff. So just like. Go back to the closet okay?"
The little shadow hissed again lashing out at Sammy stretching and bouncing about the room causing more trouble as Sammy flared her left arm with purple fires.
"You little creep SIT STILL!" She lashed out missing and only did more damage to a near by wall.

The little monster swayed side to side chirping dangerously at her. It stretched out standing a bit taller claws growing out of its odd little hands. It lashed forward raking Sammy across the chest, but she held her ground catching it by the neck.
"No. Not today."
Fear flared up along her arm as she raised the creature up high before slamming it down hard against the floor shattering the heartless into pieces, though she had no clue what it was exactly she had just killed.
"Now to figure out what the Jack is going on..."

Cursing and dislodging her weapon from her bedpost cost her precious time as the creature grew bolder and swiped at her with it's claws. The other little shadows quickly devoured her bedsheets in the meantime.

"Alright, alright," Danny reasoned with it. "I get it, you want to play! Like okay fine it makes sense. Let's play."
She intended to toss a ball or something into the closet to get it in there, but ended up tripping out of bed and covering the shadowling with blankets. Oops.
