Andrew watched in amusement as the two boils left, first the unknown one, and then Molan. "I think he likes it more then he admits. And if he doesn't, well he'll figure it out. Molan is strong enough to handle himself." not that he knew the fox well, but if Molan wasn't, he would learn how. As AJ said that was part of the point of going to this school. "Hey let's hang out a while. Want to grab some candy?" he positioned himself a little way for her, but his move had clearly improved from earlier. Maybe everyone else's bad mood put him into a good one.

Olivia probably wouldn't have liked to know that the misery of others was finding Andrew in a better mood. It was probably a good thing that she had missed his earlier jabs and jests to the others to set them off or she would be among them storming off from him; and actually for once angry at someone. Or, maybe it was a bad thing that she was unaware of how much he instigated.
She had to agree, however, that Molan did have that strength. The ghoul had seen him handle the peaks well enough, catching a dragon and doing amazing things while at this festival. He had held his own against the other boil, even if his anger just seemed to rise as Kashi tried harder. She just didn't like him being so agitated, even with any of her friends; even Andrew, though she was apart of the cause of that.
At least things seemed to be going better, as long as she didn't look at his tail. Or think about his tail. Just putting it out of her mind that he controlled the element of fire, it would be for the best. "Alright," she agreed. Candy would be nice.

[and we are back] Andrew missed Olivia's question about either, but took of heading in to Moria's booth. "Honestly I don't really know why you want to try this thing with me. It's broken anyway." something about this contraption bothered the boil, that was clear. but he would do it because Olivia seemed ok with it. Then hopefully they would play games he wanted to play. darts were fine, he hadn't won all the prizes for that. The boil marched over and just stood underneath it. ok, maybe he was a little interested in the results, but he didn't really know where he stood with AJ. it was hard to judge with something with two heads.

" Just a try won't hurt, do it for fun!" AJ giggled. The two boil went into the dome and the machine processed. The outcome - - well, AJ was satisfied. It gave a closer number than with the random lady that grabbed him to test. " Okay, I am satisfied now. We got some candy, let head to the dart game!" He took the lead, grabbing Olivia on her shoulder and bounced towards the Haters booth, the boil seemed to forget someone. For the others, one may doubt that whether the serpent-dragon boil do it just for the candy. BY THE POWER OF SCIENCE! As they lingered, Lan saw it happening. Students getting close numbers and getting things. They were winning prizes. Gold eyes watched this take place as she glance to Soren.
They hadn't even come close to 'winning'.
They had lost.
Lan.
Did.
Not.
Lose.
Not while she still had a chance at winning anyway. Her graze drifted back to the machine as she folded her arms into her sleeves while she contemplated it. "It seems that the point was to obtain a score that would win items." Lan's look to Soren was clear. She thought they had lost and this was not something she would stand. Hand to the machine she looked at the number. "Let us see if this machine will show us how well horsemen can collaborate, as I doubt the... halloweeners has the same level of discipline."

Nothin' but mammals
Soren was about to move off, but if the point was to obtain prizes...well that did change things rather dramatically. He looked at Lan, and gave her a nod, moving toward the machine in such a way that had him brushing past her. "Halloweeners can't hope to compare." And really that was that.
He grasped the machine, willing it to show that they were compatible. Her small, light yet well-endowed body perhaps the opposite of his tall and muscular frame. The aura of grace and her fine words, always so diplomatic in comparison to his gruffness, his near silence at times. Her long range compared to his up close and personal approach, her quiver to his sword.
If one believed in opposites attracting they were a near perfect pair. Apparently the machine was one of those that supported that idea.

Lan was utterly pleased with herself. Yes, this was a much more favorable result. Even if she highly doubted that she and Soren worked that well together. "They lack in discipline and finesse. The art of FEAR harvesting is something they really lack the true potential for." Speaking of which she had a quota to meet later that week.
"Our partnership and efforts are far above what they might hope to achieve." She won, and the halloweeners had the lesser matching scores.
Victory was sweet. And apparently granted by a machine.

Although her opinions and theories about the machine were up in the air, Olivia arrived the next day in hopes of taking that Reaper ghoul on her offer to try the machine again. She wasn't sure why she was so set and determined to figure it out, usually things were really easy going for her and she drifted from thing to thing without a care. (Well, there were those scores).
So, she stood in front of the booth, shifting her gaze from the board to those that wandered past every so often. Maybe she should have gotten the other ghouls' number ... but she didn't even have her name. Olivia should totally learn her name today.

Olivia turned with a relieved smile upon her face when she heard the familiar voice, "Oh!" she chirped in response. "Hello," completed the greeting.
Huh, what were those little bubbles. Her blue eyes shifted their attention to them as they appeared over her new friend's head, expressing some sort of emotion or another. She didn't remember it the last time they had met, perhaps this was a result of some random candy related mishap, like the little pink wings she had yesterday. They were kind of funny.
"I haven't been waiting long," Olivia finally answered. Honestly, she wasn't too sure.

smile "Oh, good. I'm Millie by the way." Milllie also tried her best to ignore the little thought bubbles and to be as chipper as possible. They were insanely annoying and she didn't want a new friend wasted by her annoyance at the little bubbles hanging over her head.. sweatdrop "I.. uh.. didn't get your name yesterday. It was rather hard to not watch the bubbles when they popped up. They were just right there and appeared so randomly with cute little expressions in them. Olivia was so tempted to reach out and touch one, but like so many of these temptations she had to old it in (besides, it might have been like those weird strings).
At least she was finally getting a name, "I'm Olivia," she replied in another happy tone, "getting names is sometimes a challenge." Because sometimes it really was, especially when one was in a whirlwind of activity and distractions to delay getting such simple information. Things seemed to have settled by now at least, to exchange pleasantries like this, and get to know each other even in the slightest way.
"I would love to," The ghoul nodded. It was one of the reasons why she was here after all. Olivia offered another small nod of the head, partly indicating that she was ready to go and as a simple gesture to head over to the machine.
Olivia planted herself under the same tube spot area as she did the first time. Just in case.

There had been times where she didn't know the name of the person she was hanging out with but was too embarrassed to ask. cat_whee Millie stepped on the platform and waited for Moira to indicate that it was okay to step off. cat_rofl Looking at the chart, Millie couldn't help but laugh. Part of Olivia was curious if their score had been lowered by their exchange of names, like it had tipped the scales. But hearing the laughter from Millie over their results and her opinion of the whole thing started to put that all to ease. Maybe it was all just random and for fun, and didn't really mean anything. The ghoul had seen several machines do many amazing things, and perhaps calculating relationships was a more complicated manner than something like this could do.
Besides, she liked her earliest assessment that friendship had to be worked on and the results didn't matter in the least. "It looks like we won something," that was a lot better to focus on, "but yes.. that was rather fun to try again," that too. It had helped her meet new potential friends at least.
"Would you like to go try something else?" There was much more of the faire to explore after all.
