Jericho laughed before grinning, looking rather content with the Dread Cleric's words.
"I long for battle in general. I would like to see how you do as well," he said. Though, he soon tilted his head as she drew in a sharp breath. And she was now looking at him rather... strangely.
Was something wrong?
He looked around, confused.
Before he could ask anything, she had whisked away to speak with the Queen.
"...Did I say something wrong?" he blinked.

The only warning all occupants got was a dangerous crack. And then, suddenly, horribly, just like the mirror the Voice had shown, the Kingdom itself split into half, roaring as a thick grey poured in through the center, through the shadows, the building shaking, rattling, crumbling.
Those who were within fled: the collapse was slow more than anything else and very acutely painful. They watched, because they had nowhere else to go, as their entire Kingdom crumbled to ashes and sank into the abyss of nothingness below. They were stranded.
"The Black Kingdom has fallen." The authority of the Voice, despite the severity of the situation, could not be ignored. "The Kingdom has fallen, its Miasma tribute the lowest, but the King and Warriors have been given a second chance. I am not without mercy, as judge of the True King. Even without your sigil you can still remain yourselves. You have been crippled, weakened, but you are not defeated. There remains one more trial ahead. Prove yourselves, prove yourselves to your King, and you will be granted lands far greater than the one taken from you. Prepare yourselves for battle and remember your oath sworn to your King. "

THE BLACK KINGDOM HAS FALLEN!
- HOWEVER, the SUBJECTS all remain. The King remains as do their warriors. The Voice tells them to prepare for battle: till then, they can reflect on what happens and what it means for them. - PLEASE NOTE: PVP is still disabled in Kingdom threads. PVP can only be engaged in battle (to be announced soon). The King will have to fight amongst their warriors if they want to even the odds. - HOWEVER your team has NO HP POOL. That means other than Bishops, or Kingdom Abilities (which still remain), the King cannot heal others! - Good luck Black Kingdom survivors!
The Fool watched her home of eternity and some fall, anxiety riddling her heart. She shape shifted, and she shrunk down to the size of a canine, smaller than Balthazar, smaller than anything easily noticed.
She was not so weak as their tower. She would not fall without a fight.
Balthazar raised his head to the black sky and howled, and The Fool followed suit. There would be blood on this day, blood and ruin and destruction and death and--
The Voice spoke, and the force of it invigorated her, heat searing her shadowed veins.
On this day, The Fool would have her revenge.

It didn't seem too out of the ordinary to see the Eldritch Advisor's dimly glowing gaze grow distant. She was wounded after all, and severely so; a bit of spacing out was probably expected. Necessary, even. When her gaze focused a few seconds later she looked bewildered, confused, and immediately guilty. She could see Aymet from where she stood; he was milling around his subjects, asking for updates and information from their trek.
She had to do it, she knew that much. How was the question. Use her position to get close to him? No, that wouldn't do, she was too wounded and he was too well protected, especially here, with the rest of the Kingdom's Champions surrounding him.
"Ah!" The sudden claws on her wrist snapped her out of her painful thoughts, drawing her forcefully into the present. In her current state she had no choice and scrambled to keep up to the ghoul - The Hierophant in this world - who was bodily drawing her someplace secluded. Yellow eyes stared right back, at first confused, and then in pained despair, for several reasons.
"I...I think ssss-Ow!" She hissed as her arm was twisted, clawed fingers flexing just enough to see the glittering pale flower on the small expanse of black-and-grey skin. "I...I remember, I'm Amrita...I'm a..." The supposed Queen tried to pry her poor arm free, not quite liking the other's methods of interrogation. Her voice did lower as she went on to explain the rest. "--Third year at Amity and---" Her claw was free but the other shot out, grabbing the Hierophant by whatever fabric garment covered her chest. "If you do that to me again I will end you." This time, she hissed the words in anger and meant it. The sudden change in demeanor was as short lived as it was sudden, and she frowned, rubbing her wrist. "I don't know wh---"
CRACK
Chaos erupted as the Kingdom fell, and despite her earlier threat she did tug Nevena out of harms way when the occasion called for it; what else could she do? They were in this together! When the dust settled the Kingdom was in ruins, all that remained were the Shadows.
Knowing what she had to do, she didn't know how to feel; this was both a blessing...and a curse. As the Voice called their fate and dished their chance for retribution, Amrita turned back towards Nevena, both clawed hands resting insistently on the other ghoul's shoulders.
"Our King is mine. Please. He's my friend, a very close one. I have to do it, but I need your help if I'm going to get it done right." She was serious, deadly serious...but she was also just as desperate. As her friend, she was prepared for this, no matter how much it pained her. "Please."
Nevena's eyes practically bulged out of her head when the front of her dress was snatched, her mouth working soundlessly at the threat. Of course, she'd been surprised into letting Amrita go, and just when her temper was beginning to flare, an enormous CRACK had her head twisting around.
She could only gape at the sight of the Kingdom crashing to the ground, stumbling along blindly as the Queen tugged her along and out of the way of the worst of the damage. She was still staring like a dumbstruck fool when she realized there were hands on her shoulders, and her head snapped around to focus on the other girl, her mouth twisted in an angry snarl.
Her teeth were hidden as her lips soon pressed into a thin, angry line, but at least she was listening now. Aymet. The King. She wanted to kill him herself--friends?
Impatiently, Nevena slapped Amrita's hands away, seeming to dismiss her actions. Instead of shoving her away for good, though, she focused hard, attempting to use the powers she'd been given to at least heal the Queen a little. It wasn't an apology--certainly not an apology!
"I will help you." She bit off each word like it hurt. "They all deserve better than this."
((+3 HP for Amrita, fail.))

Shortly after he had spoken, there had been a loud crack. And just like that, the kingdom crumpled completely into nothing. Jericho had managed to flee, just barely, only in time to see their once grand land decimate. He could hear the voice speaking. They were spared, but battle was soon to come onto them.
The shock was slowly wearing away, and it was quickly being replaced with a deep rage.
The shadow dragon's claws tightened into fists as the anger continued to well up inside of him until he couldn't hold it in any longer.
"VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!" he roared with complete and utter fury, arching his head and back as he unleashed a plume of shadowed flames up towards the sky.
The other kingdoms will pay.

He was in the process of kicking at another shade when there was a thundering roar, and a crack, and the Chariot turned in time to see the kingdom fall.
But... how? Just what... No, he knew. They had not gathered enough miasma to sustain them. HE had no gathered enough. If only he...
A feral his escaped his lips, and the lance formed and took shape into claws. No, they would not fail here. This was but the first trial. They would fight, and the others WILL fall.

His accent colour is white, representing the balance of the opposing forces in his Majora card. He has the ability to form shadows into weapons, and while they may vary, they usually take the form of claws, blades or a lance, something allowing close combat. He can also summon his shade, a shadow horse with neon green eyes, but will rarely ever fight with it, as the shade's purpose is only to help him travel long distances.

Crack.
It was a definitive sound. A sound with finality to it. Sun had no memory of anything to compare it to. But it ran through the air and through her bones with same result. As the Kingdom cracked apart, Sun felt something tear apart inside her. Her reflexes were still superb, though. She wasn't stunned, she didn't freeze in place. As soon as she saw what was happening, she ran to her King, and to Arynek. She had brought the Silver girl here, she had a responsibility to her as well as to her liege to see them safely out of the broken kingdom.
Later, as she stood at the border of the abyss, Sun looked down into it, and listened as the Voice spared them. Offered them a greater land. Yes. Sun's hand tightened into a fist as she turned from the wreckage of her home. Her head was a whirl of conflicting emotions. She smiled to hear Jericho roar, she welcomed the chance to bring the other Kingdoms low. She smiled though tears escaped from the bottom of her mask. She had never understood so well what it was to be a creature of Revenge.

CRACK.
The second Collapse was unlike his first. Maybe he has gotten familiar with this...?
Heh. Getting used to things like this...? Maybe The Voice has corrupted me that far before me knowing it. Grumbled Rei inwards, walking briskly in the midst of crumbling shadow and obsidian structure before him, evading 'debris' which is either sharp obsidian pieces or dissipating shadow without even a slight change on his expression.
His prediction was correct. The Black Kingdom's Miasma is by far, the littlest compared with the other Kingdoms. Thus when the King personally invited him to be his Warrior (and cannot reply to his question), he has already sure that this will surely happen; and even if he contributed to collect Miasma, the amount would still not be enough sustain this Kingdom.
"The problem now...is I'm stuck in here." Groaned him, eyeing the Portal. As it operates using a moderate amount of Miasma, now the gate-like structure is not operating.
But something else nagged on his mind. The Voice's words.
The Voice
"There remains one more trial ahead. Prove yourselves, prove yourselves to your King, and you will be granted lands far greater than the one taken from you. Prepare yourselves for battle and remember your oath sworn to your King"
"Would that mean..."
Rei kept the reminder of his sentence to himself. It would be unwise for him to mutter the rest of his prediction, should it be correct.
Thus, the Informant wandered into the crumbling of the Kingdom of Darkness, his figure is dimming from sight...

CRACK.
Followed by the sound, everything shook violently. Arynek grabbed on something to stable herself. "It can't be...."
What she was experiencing was so familiar. The shaking, the cracking sound, the crumbling.......all leads to one thing - Black was falling.
She stared at Sun who ran towards their direction, hoping for an answer. Please don't do this horrible things to her.
It can't be.

Character: Arynek HP: 50 /50 Kingdom: Black (Wild Card)
Appearance: Adapting the Black kingdom, Arynek is now a grey figure that you can tell is a girl with long hair.
Sun ran up to Arynek, grabbed her arm, and yelled so that she could be heard over the sound of agonized architecture. It was the Silver Tower all over again!
"Get out of here!" she yelled, moving her towards the stairs. She seemed to think it over, darted into the Supply Room, and grabbed two shields. She thrust one at her King, and the other at Ary. "This is faster! Just go! Get out! The Kingdom is falling!"

Everything had collapsed all around them, dissolving and splitting and crumbling into chaos and nothingness. Their Tower had fallen, their home was gone - was this was the Silver Kingdom had experienced?
Maple pulled at the brim of her hood, her eyes filled with worry and anxiety, their collection of Miasma had not been enough? They had failed? She had failed? They had escaped for sure and were still alive, but their home was now gone.
There was still a second chance for them though, the Voice had told them. They needed to fight, they needed to defend their honor and get their revenge. Maple cast her gaze upon the others and remained on their Shadow King. She couldn't fail, she couldn't. Not like all the other times, she had to defend the other Warriors and her King.

That angry outburst seemed to be the only one of it's kind to escape her after that. She merely looked at Nevena sadly as she thought she was being dismissed, only to gasp in amazement as she was healed instead of cast aside. It wasn't much, but it was better than what she had prior, and so the ghoul smiled that soft, sad smile.
"I agree...Thank you...I appreciate this. I'll make it up to you one day..." Her voice dropped to a whisper, keeping the conversation between herself and the Hierophant. "We need to get him alone, I'll try to start that now, and you just...I don't know, either come with me or lead them away or even just...start to pick them off. If you do, go for the ones on the fringes, the ones who aren't close to the others. Don't do anything stupid, and if you see Night, tell him that Aymet is mine!"
The orders were barked quietly, trying desperately to keep her 'Queen' hat on.
The VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOI in the distance had some warmth rush into her little dead heart; it was good to know Jericho was alive.
And such a shame they'd have to murder him again.
So sad.
With that said she gave Nevena one last smile before she turned, heading with a striding purpose towards Arynek, Sun and Aymet. The supposed Queen held herself with all the air she remembered doing, proud and patient, strong and determined; but there was something sad in the way she looked and moved, something she hoped would pass as feeling the loss of their Kingdom.
"You two-" Amrita started, pointing at both Sun and Arynek. "-I will protect him. You are better needed on the front line." She ordered, though her gaze shot towards the King, trying to ignore the stab of guilty, conflicted pain that shot through her chest. "We can't have you out in the open just yet, my Lord." It hurt to keep up the farce. She wanted to shake him until he woke up, but she knew that wouldn't work. That wasn't Aymet, she told herself over and over; it was an imposter, someone using her friend's face and voice. "Please, lie low until the first wave is over."

There is a loud chime in the air, the only warning before a heavy weight settles upon everyone in the Kingdom.

"I am the Voice. The Black King has fallen, but I am not merciless." Silence. Relief perhaps. It was not them. "To fight to redeem, to fight for the title as True King, I announce the Final Tournament that will take place in the Great Battlefield. And to the battlefield I give my greatest blessing, a fragment of my Power. With it you may challenge many, and bring victory to your Kingdom. Fight in battle and emerge victorious, and I will bestow upon your kingdom the power of the True King."
The trials were just a beginning then, this was the real test. It was time.

PREPARING FOR BATTLE
- Let the King decide on their battle speech and make choices. - Since the Black Kingdom is under special circumstances, it bypasses the two sacrifices entirely! - When a group is ready, simply head over to THE GREAT BATTLEFIELD WEST HERE to commence battle, read the first post in that thread. Make sure you write in OOC what faction you're in so people don't get confused!
The sound tore into the very core of Aezeloth's heart. His entire body shuddered and without a second thought, he grabbed Amarus by the wrist and pulled her after him as he ran. He could hear the rush behind them, but he didn't dare turn around and look back.
Never look back...
Finally, the noise stopped the feeling of impending doom ended, and he sighed. Then the voice came, and he stood and listened. He didn't let go of Judgement's wrist - if anything he moved to take her hand, squeezing it for a moment.
"Well then..." he murmured at the desolation. "This is it then, our stand against the world."
Turning to Amarus he grinned. "Well... Couldn't have asked for a better partner."
His fingers squeezed hers again, before his gaze once more turned to he ruins of their kingdom.
