Enough was enough. The horseman dared to talk to her, dared to try and be all preachy and whatever, and after Rep attacked again (and had been ignored) she followed up. Her blades were sharp, singing, and she tore into the horseman with little to no abandon. "Preach ta yerself alone, pony. Yer words mean nothin' ta me when they're comin' from an animal."
Let all of them on the battlefield see how Sun Hunters of Deus Ex worked. Together she and Rep had taken down two of them in the time it barely took any of them to respond. She was not immortal, not invincible, but she certainly was stronger than all of them. Ofelia would tear them to shreds. "Thanks Rep, fer the hand. Rue's fully charged up, ready fer it - how's Tracey?"
Lex rushed in until he was about thirty yards back from the mass of fighting, and began to train his pistol on any targets he could find. There weren't many he could get a clear shot on, until he found a blue...fox...thing that a sun hunter was assailing. Perfect.
The shot missed widely, causing the man to hiss as he cocked the hammer back. Hopefully that wouldn't be a precursor to how all his shots would be.

"Charged." he said, the words practically a snarl.

Reinforcements had arrived. Her lips twisted into a sneer as she watched the fresh white join the fallen, dyed with blood and dirt. Jay idly twirled her dagger as she glowered at the new hunters. Hunters should stay down, so why didn’t they? Why did they always multiply in numbers when the weak needed it most? Jay hated that about hunters. They were vermin that constantly grew; the battle would never end. She scanned the battle before throwing her blade toward a certain redhead attacking a conquest horseman. She knew his name. What was it…Mengyao? The dagger grazed the hunter’s arm before it fell to the ground. She appeared by the fallen weapon to pick it up. “I find that hilarious, considering you’re only vermin.” Her smile turned icy.

Of course the hunter was the first to lash out. He could not help himself but to cast a sidewards glance towards Tybalt and Mei at THAT.
Still the boil did yelp out in pain as the hammer connected. A all too familiar, but once forgotten, sensation as something akin to a bruise was forming in its bloody glory on his side.
Growling, showing off his maw and rows of teeth he side stepped as the attack from the other fired off, tossing that look of hatred at a unknown hunter whom also was attacking him. Lex would have to wait his turn...
Turning towards Jordan once more, he did not hesitate. The fear attack rolled off him in waves... and sent flames right towards the sun hunter.

Sophie gave a shrug at Xiu's wonder. That wasn't a question she could answer. She didn't know any backstory to this fight. All she knew was that people she cared about - people she could come to care about - were in danger and she didn't like sitting around and watching them bleed anymore. She wasn't here because Medea had asked her. She wasn't here for the Horsemen at all - though she didn't like seeing them fall anymore than she liked seeing students fall. She was here for herself. Perhaps the ghoul was being selfish. It might've been better for all parties had she stayed behind; had she not been stubborn and actually listened to Alex's words.
But that was hindsight and that wasn't going to do any good now. Not when reinforcements were showing up. She scanned the field for Alex but couldn't seem to find him in the fray. She wasn't afraid for him anymore. At least not as much as she used to be. She knew what he was capable of and even though it scared her, she knew it was necessary. Perhaps after the battle, when adrenaline and fear rush off, she'll realise just how frightening he was. Turning to Xiu, Sophie gave a little shrug once more. "Not unless we don't have a choice. I don't want to fight anymore; not willingly."

(( Entering! ))
Stormy felt like a twig in a big coat coming through the portal, thin and small and probably in over her head for a first real mission. The sleepy-eyed look she normally wore disappeared into a disquieted horror at the mass of Hunters that had been slain, and the stench of blood and sound of battle made her freeze more than the cold could.
< < Smells like home. > > Thane couldn't be more pleased to finally be a part of something larger, and the glow from both the runic lettering and the jewel seemed to intensify for a moment.
Stormy just trembled. She was going to have to get used to it, but no-one said it was going to be a fast process.
As other dove forward with familiarity and an eagerness to slaughter, the trainee crept to the side of one Hunter who had yet to take part, the greatsword almost touching the ground from her loose hold. "Re . . . reporting for duty?" the teen greeted uncertainly, casting a glance up at the woman before scanning the battlefield with some apprehension.
Ofelia had no sooner turned away from talking to Rep when she was attacked again, her shield taking a very faint slice that she wouldn't have even noticed if it weren't for the horse-creature approaching her and stating something. The redhead shrugged it off, taking it all in stride, and then raised a hand to her ear. "Sorry, didja say sommin'? Ah don't speak horse."
As a return for the attack that had been inflicted upon her the hunter turned her fists and struck at her opponent, digging the attack in strong and hard. She was hitting well today, Rue was overly pleased, and perhaps it was because there was no screaming voice in her head that she was able to keep going without any hesitation. They would not have her, not take her down. Not so long as she had someone she wanted to see, a place she needed to go, and a bracelet on her wrist that needed to come off.
Mahir felt strangely comforted by the whispers this time. After seeing them - his friends, his family, everyone, for just a moment longer - he did not push them away but welcomed them. They were here, guiding his hands to strike. Watching over him in battle. It was an honor he would fight to live up to.
He let the power Medea had granted them surge through him, freeing him of constraint, of this pathetically tiny form. He was a steed - he was a horseman -
He was a horse of pure black shadow, yellow eyes, and writhing handlike hair, gaunt as the dead, his front hooves and legs grey and fading to exposed bone, trademark insanity.
At seeing his friend fall, the horse rushed forward to strike. He reared up with a whinny and sent his hooves down to crush the life out of the fragile little human. He did so love the sound of breaking bones.
"Vermin breed quickly but die easssily," he chimed in with Jay.
Appearance: Mahir is a Famine Horseman Sage afflicted with insanity. He currently looks like this.

OFELIA IS ATTACKING MAHIR
"Get away from me!" The redhead barely had time to keep trying when yet another horseman came at her, this time in the shape of a horse and the teen raised her weapons to attack. It wasn't much at all, not strong like her attack on the previous one, but it served well enough to damage and get her in the clear.
Her shield was fine, still standing, and she still had a charge at her disposal should she need it. Everything was starting to ache though, she'd just been kicked/whatever'd by a freakin' horse and her temper was starting to simmer. Eventually she'd need help, but not right now. Right now she'd tear them both apart.
Sasha glanced over at the trainee that crept up next to her, pale blue eyes narrowing. A trainee, and Sasha could only assume her first mingle with the horsemen and monsters. Sasha knew all too well how terrifying it could be - Hell, she was still scared shitless of the horsemen, especially.
"Mist, hm? Stay close," she pointed one of Nona's hooked blades towards Medea, the priestess nearly lost in the wave of bodies that surrounded her, "and keep away from that one."
Her voice was clipped, almost harsh, and she softened her tone before continuing.
"I'm Sasha. Life. Be careful, be wary - and don't do anything stupid."
Though there was a brief lull, it hadn't taken too long before battle broke back out between the two sides. Shun let out a breath as he watched the violence for the moment. He spotted the hunter with the big hammer, along with one he didn't quite recognize taking on Remi. Perhaps he should give the Kitsune a hand.
That aside, seeing how the Hammer man had been a part of Mitsu's capture.. he figured he would make a good target right now. Gripping his daggers, he shifted to the side, trying to get a good vantage point.
Then, he vanished.
Only to reappear numerous times around the hunter, stabbing and slashing wherever he could. After a number of relentless attacks, he shadowstepped one last time to put a little bit of distance between himself and the hammer guy.

Out of nowhere, horsemen moved in from all sides, moving in to attack Ofelia when she stepped out. Now a standing target, Melvin glanced over at Rep. "Stay alive." He told him, still confused at what weedy even meant.
Moving over to Ofelia, he rose his own weapon. "Want a returned favor from a Lifer?" He asked.
This time his hooves hit their mark. The shadowy hair was moving like deep-sea tentacles, itching to reach out and touch her, tear away her flesh, expose the curious anatomy within.
"How could I, little wilting rose," Mahir crooned, "When I haven't heard you ssscream?"
