Merrick tilted his head thoughtfully. "I know a few people in the Carpathian Mountains as well as the Amazon Basin, though most of my personal contacts are in China, Hong Kong, and Japan," he said thoughtfully. "It'd be nice to just travel... no real destination in mind, no need to worry about money.... just travel to see what's out there," he said thoughtfully as his three tails split into five as his foxish ears materialized.
Lorcán tilted his head. "Then you need a good full spa vacation sometime; perhaps two or three of us could go together," he said thoughtfully with a roguish half smile. He thought Merida would like a spa day as well; she often tended to take things way too seriously sometimes.

"That must be nice, to know people in different places." Constance said with a small smile. She held out a little bit of the frosting on a spoon. "Here, try this and tell me what you think." The frosting was a dark chocolate and yet it was sweet as well. It had the perfect combination of bitter and sweet mixed in it. She had just done it off the top of her head without needing a recipe or having made it before. She was good at that, coming up with new recipes without having to do them more than once.

Cassandra grinned at Lorcan and nodded. "And that sounds wonderful." Her arms wrapped around his neck. "But right now I just enjoy being here with you. Just the two of us."

Merrick tried the frosting and unconsciously shivered at the flavor. She claims she wouldn't be able to hold her own with Gordon Ramsay, but I'm certain even he'd have trouble matching the casual ease with which she pulls this off he thought as he simultaneously realized that Constance was one of those extremely rare people that cares little for what people think of them unless they're precious to them as either friends or 'close' intimate friends. "Delicious; I know why you don't do this for just anybody now. You're extremely humble and I'm fairly sure that the way Hollywood or something similar would try to portray you as... well, frankly, would fall faster than the chances of a team of cardboard cutouts winning the Olypic relay," /color] he said with amusement.
Lorcán chuckled, lightly running his hands down her sides before resting them on her hips. "As do I, since sometimes it isn't the biggest or loudest shows of fondness and affection that are most precious, but the quiet, private shows of affection that have the biggest impact," he said quietly. She really was beautiful, he mused. She was intelligent, generous, thoughtful of others, gentle and both physically and magically strong and skilled.

Constance was extremly pleased it had turned out well and even more pleased that Merrick seemed to love it. She grinned at him, her face lighting up. "Well I am glad that you like it. That's the first time I have ever made that frosting. Just from up here." She tapped her head as she put the spoon in the sink. Normally she didn't let anyone taste any of her food until it was completely done. Constance nodded her head slowly as Merrick spoke about understanding why she only cooked for certain people, why she didn't do this professionally. Oh she was sure she could make it, but she didn't want to. "You are the only one I have let taste any of my stuff before it is completely done. I don't even allow Merida to touch it, and she is like a sister to me."

Cassandra smiled softly at Lorcan as she trailed a finger lightly over his face. He was a sweet man. So caring and thoughtful. He knew what to say to make her happy, and he meant every word that he said. She didn't even have to probe his thoughts to know that. "I prefer quiet shows of affection," she said softly. A shiver went up and down her back as Lorcan ran his hands down her sides before resting his hands on her hips. Their bodies were close together, closer then they ever had been before. Cassandra moved her head forward slowly, hesitating for a moment, before she touched her lips to his.

Merrick smiled slightly, not really surprised; Merida seemed to treat the rest of the coven much like a large extended family, which was rare and precious in more ways than one. "I've noticed how she acts much like a cross between an older sister, friendly cousin, and generous boss," he said thoughtfully as he inhaled, catching the scents of several people growing steadily clearer. He knew from the scents of pork, flour, onions, potatoes, and chives that it was the usual kitchen workers coming to start on the dinner for the night. "We're about to have a little company," he warned Constance as he shifted his weight, his tails and ears fading from sight. He managed to catch his swim trunks before they fell and flashed Constance again. "It really doesn't bother me that much that tbe trunks are... well... ruined since I had planned on going to the sauna... but I personally prefer a good hot spring," he said wryly as he flicked a finger as his towel, still folded, shot across the room into his hand before he unrolled it and wrapped it around his hips in one smooth, fluid movement. He didn't really notice how it made his muscles ripple and tense in the process.
Lorcán tensed for an instant as he felt her shiver before she spoke. He inhaled at her words, catching the scents of lavender, chamomile and strawberries in his nose before he felt her lips brush his hesitantly. Before he'd even realized it, his hands had ghosted up her bak until he'd draped one arm lightly over her shoulder while the other lightly ran through her luxurious red hair as he gently returned the kiss while not pressuring her into more than she wanted.

Constance turned to look at Merrick when he spoke and her eyes widened slightly at the sight of his rippling muscles. She turned away and began to was the dirty dishes she had made, her cheeks flushed. What was wrong with her? She had never acted like this around a man before. "Well then we had better clean up our mess," Constance said as the warm water ran over her hands. "I will clean up your dishes if you want so you can go change." She was also looking forward to seeing the kitchen staff. It was them, after all, who had first taught her about cooking. Maybe she would get some advice from the motherly lady in the group.

Cassandra was so happy that Lorcan was kissing her back. She had thought about this moment for a while now. Her fingers ran lightly across his bare back as their kiss continued. After a moment she pulled back and smiled at Lorcan. "Wow...that was better than I thought it would be," she said softly.

Merrick chuckled, cocking his head before he blinked, moving with a fluid yet agile stride as his hand flicked up, steadying the tall three shelf stainless steel cart of flour and baskets of ripe greenish gold pears as it tilted from crossing the boundary between hardwood floor and concrete from the nearby offloading dock.
Lorcán laughed softly at her words. "It is a first for me as well," he said quietly, making certain he quashed the memories that tried to surface; he could connect with other witches that had lost siblings to hunters easily because of a critical detail that not even Merida knew about him: he had personally lost both a brother and sister to hunters, the latter of which had died in his arms.

"Oh here! I got it." Constance said as she moved to help Merrick. As it settled she grinned at him. "Quick moves there."
"Constance! Is that you that I hear my dear?" A kind, motherly voice said from the other side of the loading dock.
"Yes Mariamma, it's me." Constance said with a huge smile on her face. "We were just making some dessert. You know how I am. When I need to think, I cook." She turned her gaze back to Merrick. "Go ahead and get dressed, and if you want you can come and meet the usual kitchen staff. Besides, I don't know how well Mariamma will take to you dressed the way you are," she teased him.

Cassandra rested her head against Lorcan's with a sigh, her eyes closing. "If only we could freeze time and stay like this." She opened her eyes, staring directly into his. A small smile spread across her face. "Should we continue our swim, or get out?"

Merrick smiled mischeviously before he simply flicked off the towel, draping it over his shoulder as the dark tan cargo pants he wore now rustled softly. He doubted she'd realize it was actually his tails wrapped around his hips and thighs as well as the swim trunks, casting a subtle and visually seamless illusion.
Lorcán tilted his head thoughtfully before he spoke. "We could try the Jacuzzi; there's no sense in darting to get our clothes whileshivering the whole way there," he said with amusement; he said this for two reasons: he had noticed they had the air conditioning blasting on the way to the pool, and he wanted to see if Cassandra wanted to continue in teasing one another.

Constance chuckled as she shook her head. "Well never mind then." She smiled as an older woman with black hair peppered with grey walked into the kitchen. She was tanned and her gray eyes shined with mirth. When she saw Merrick her head tilted to the side. "Merrick, this is Mariamma. Mariamma, this is my new friend, Merrick."
"A pleasure Merrick," Mariamma said with a slight bow of her head. She sniffed the air a little. "Hmm, it smells wonderful in here."

Cassandra grinned and nodded. "Hmm, the jacuzzi sounds like a very good idea indeed." She caressed his cheek gently. "Come, let's go."

Merrick nodded in return to Mariamma. "And you as well," he said with a half smile, though he noticed one of the female underchefs licking her lips and looking him up and down form the corner of his eye. He knew she was trying to look seductive, and while he did find her cute, he wasn't attracted to her at all. Unconsciously, deep down, he knew exactly why he found her cute but not the kind of person he'd be interested in romantically: his inner Kitsune had already 'chosen' its/his mate. His gaze shifted to Constance as he inhaled, and he was somewhat surprised that his body reacted suddenly and noticeably in a certain way. He was htankful in that moment for the illusion, which showed no sign of his... 'wood'.
Lorcán shivered slightly before he pressed one hand to the side of the pool before he pushed himself up and out of the pool; fortunately the room with the pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna was quite warm compared to the hallway back to the main hotel. He let a roguish half smile flicker over his lips as he crouched to help Cassandra, though he knew she didn't really need it.

Kaosujin Ryu Happy Holidays (I normally dont say it like this, but because I am not sure if you celebrate Christmas or not, I decided to say it like this) Constance saw the way that the one of the girls was looking at Merrick and it caused the hair on the back of her neck to stand up. She gave a little shake of her head. It wasn't like he was hers or anything, despite what she wanted... "Well we will get out of your way," Constance said as she stepped up beside Merrick. "We will come back in a little while to get out the food we have made.""Yes, of course," Mariamma said with a kind smile at the two of them. ~~~~~~ Cassandra smiled as she allowed Lorcan to help her up. It was nice for someone to be so thoughtful towards her. Even though she was quite capable of taking care of herself, it was nice to have someone want to help her. She shivered a little at the change in temperature. "Come, let's hurry to the jacuzzi."

Merrick gently brushed his fingertips across Constance's shoulder, idly noticing how her lightly tanned skin contrasted the creamy color of her long shirt. It was meant to get her attention though he barely managed to hold back a slight growl as he felt his body react, not noticing how his pectorals and abdomen tensed as he managed to keep from showing a more primal side of his nature that he unconsciously knew wouldn't be satisfied by just any woman but one: Constance herself. "We'll be back in a little while," he said quietly, hearing a slight growl to his own voice; he saw the underchef shiver as lust entered her eyes. Merrick, for the most part, was unaware his body was now putting out pheromones designed to draw in the opposite sex in a sexual way.
Lorcán nodded, unaware he was blushing slightly. He walked steadily towards the curving antechamber in the wall across the pool, though he noticed the dark walnut and glass door of the sauna several feet before the antchamber as they went around the pool. "I would mention that getting out on this side rather than the other would have meant less of a walk, but why complain with such a beautiful woman with me?" he said rhetorically with an amused tone in his voice.

Kaosujin Ryu well then I hope you had a great Christmas xD Constance felt Merrick's fingertips brush across her shoulders and goose bumps appeared across her flesh. His mere touch made her body tingle with something she had never felt before. A deep buried desire that had never been a part of her life. She glared at the underchef as she saw the lust enter the other woman's eyes. "Yeah, we will be back in a little bit Mariamma..." Constance grasped Merrick's hand and gently tugged him towards the door. She wanted to get away from that woman. She felt an odd desire to gouge her eyes out. She didn't think Cassandra or any of the others might appreciate that very much. ------ Cassandra smirked as she walked with Lorcan. She had seen the slight blush on his cheeks. She was pleased that she was able to make him look like that. She smiled a bit shyly as she looked down at her feet. "I am not really all that beautiful. I am just....me." Cassandra shrugged a little. She had always been extremely modest. She had always thought she was average looking. No different than anyone else, despite what others said.

Alede OOC - I'll admit, I'm no hunter, though I did get a good bit of shooting gear (hearing protection, jacket, gloves). Also, I had about half of my family drop by, so the house was fairly crowded for a while.
Merrick felt an odd sensation that reminded him almost like holding a jug of warm water, though he could feel the odd sensation behind his navel; he had the sense that what he was sensing wasn't 'water' in a strict fashion, but concentrated energy he could manipulate at will. "I get the feeling that something unexpected happened," he said quietly. He unconsciously shifted, for a second brushing his hip against Constance's, not realizing that the illusion of his shorts at the moment was strictly visual and that Constance would feel the warm softness of his disguised tails.
Lorcán chuckled, the blush deepening unintentionally. "So I'm biased since you're right next to me, so what?" he said with a gentle one armed hug around her shoulders, his fingertips lightly rubbing over her skin as they reached the Jacuzzi.
