Thinking about her family brought Amaya to the shop that she loved to work in. There was something about metal work that was truly extraordinary. It was a very unique form of art, but it was also a stable industry that would never wane like the art world could. For some reason or another man would always need some sort of weapon for some reason or another. There was the practical utility of it that made it a worthwhile profession, but there was also the pride in the skills involved. Not everyone could heat metal to a temperature high enough to make it moldable but low enough that it didn’t begin to liquefy or take on the texture of the tools being used on it. Then there was the fact that pouring molten metal into a mold was always fun when the occasion called for it. Sometimes that is what her father would do for custom weapons: he would pour the metal into a mold that he already had on hand if it was close to the shape that he wanted and then he would customize it. This made the process faster with the same high quality results. Then there were the hawks. Amaya loved the hawks that her father used to send out order requests. He had talked about sending Amaya in person to retrieve the precious metals if he felt that she became strong enough to defend both herself and the shipment if need be. That would make it more cost effective for the company because he was now paying for both the travel of the metal and the travel of the escort.
While that did sound like fun and Amaya liked the idea of helping her father and the business, she also needed to make sure that he understood that, once the time came, her job as a shinobi would come first and foremost. After all, there couldn’t be a metal shop in the first place without the shinobi who protected their beloved village from intruders. That was just the way things were going to have to be. One of the most difficult parts, however, was the fact that no matter what simple weapons productivity would decrease when she was away because she was in charge of making small throwing weapons in her free time.

That was something Amaya was excited about. She had spent plenty of time making weapons, but she had never gotten to use any. The girl was especially interested in senbon. Sure, they didn’t cut and slice as much as kunai, but it was something that she could see herself throwing. Plus, they were lightweight and she could always carry more than her pouch would allow if she had long hair because she would use them to hold her hair up as well. Was it cheating? Only if being as well equipped as possible was cheating. If that was the case then they should probably send her away now. The vision in her mind was powerful and strong, everything she wanted to be. Amaya understood thin being beautiful, but she found strength to be more beautiful than anything. If a man was muscular she couldn’t help but steal a bashful look. With women, if they could hold their own without looking like their muscles had been surgically implanted then they were gorgeous. There was something about a woman who had empowered herself that Amaya found breathtaking. The Keiji was going to be one of those girls. She was going to be strong and muscular; she would someday lift all of the orders that her father struggled with in his steadily increasing age. She would wield her throwing weapons with deadly accuracy and she would attack with her custom weapon with grace and power. Amaya had all of these big plans in her head and they kept the idea of becoming a shinobi alive – even through her family’s disapproval. Her grandfather had particularly opposed. He wanted Amaya to take over the metal shop so that the boys could grow into whatever they aspired to be. Though he would never say it out loud, the small child knew that was the case. She didn’t matter because the family name would disappear from her once she wed and the Keiji name was dying slowly but surely.
Arching her back, Amaya stretched out the sore spots. It had been a rough morning of play with her brothers as she prepared them for her to leave and she was beginning to feel it because she had been bound for so long. However, she would soon have enough energy to make another run at some of the knots.

Now walking to the bathroom at a moderate pace, she peeked inside, only to see that all the stalls were empty. This was the bathroom that Amaya would have gone to since it was in plain view, so Sakura didn't bother checking elsewhere. This just reeked of something fishy, and Yuki was finding, to her dismay, that she didn't trust that teacher one bit anymore. It was really irrational, she knew. He was very nice and jolly, albeit unorthodox, but the fact that Amaya had been gone for such a long time was really getting on her nerves. Peeking inside empty classrooms and walking through the corridors, she became increasingly nervous as each second ticked by.

Even though Amaya’s mind was wandering off towards her family and the shop and her future she couldn’t help but be bored. Since she was bound she couldn’t even doodle on her weapon paper while she was resting. There was very little that she was actually capable with the position she was in. Because of this she would soon tired of resting and move onto the next knot even if she wasn’t as rested as she would have liked. However, she wasn’t quite ready to start, so she just sat on the floor rocking back and forth, left and right. Before she knew it, she was swinging in a circle and it was actually pretty amusing. Now she was really glad that no one was around to see her. The things she did in private were sometimes embarrassing and this was one of those times. However, since there was no one the child continued on with her joyful rocking. Why was she having such drastic mood swings today?! It was probably because she wasn’t used to interacting with so many new people in a day. That did make things a little more stressful than usual. Then again, she had no issues with strangers at the shop. She assumed it was because she knew they were customers and not friends or colleagues.
Amaya hadn’t been well socialized when she was little. Her mother was highly protective of her and the most she ever got out of the house or the shop was to go grocery shopping because her father sure as all get out wasn’t going to be left alone with an infant. Amaya hadn’t been allowed down to the shop until she was five because it was a dangerous place, so she wasn’t even introduced to customers until that point in her life. It made things a little difficult for her around her neighborhood because she didn’t have any friends, but she had a feeling that she was going to make some friend here at the academy. She seemed to get along with Sakura well and she liked the pink haired girl. Speaking of, Amaya couldn’t help but wonder how she was doing with her assignment and whether or not she had completed the chakra molding. No matter, she would no doubt be joining the black haired girl soon enough.

Finally, the child got so bored that she couldn’t stand to sit still any longer. This next knot was higher up on her forearm, so she couldn’t reach it just with her hands. So, she used her shirt to create friction against the rope and pull it farther down her arms. It was a slow and tedious process, but she could feel the coils tightening around her elbows, which meant the bottom was loosening and eventually sliding down towards her hands. It felt odd pressing the rope into her back and it was even odder how she was moving her arms. She felt like the crickets that she watched at night. They would use their hind legs and rub them together in order to make their signature chirping sound. Well, Amaya’s arms were one leg and her back was the other, though no sounds were being made. Her breath was once again audible as it huffed from her nostrils. It really did suck having a large piece of tape over her mouth. None the less, the child hand managed to get the knot low enough to pull on the loop that wrapped around her arms.
Amaya probably could have just pulled the loop from around her arms, but she wanted to undo the knot while she was in a position to so the knot wouldn’t create problems farther up her arms. She tugged and she twisted the steadfast know, slowly loosening its grip on itself. She continued to pry as an end loosened up from the rest of the knot. Focusing on that one piece, she pulled the loose end free of the twisted mayhem so that she could fiddle with the rest of the knot. It was a slow and tedious process, but eventually she felt the knot fall apart. Now she had slight mobility in her forearms and that should help her with loosening and freeing herself from the rest of the confines. While this was a painful process, she was happy with the progress and the child hoped that as she gained mobility in her arms it would make everything easier instead of more difficult. Then again, knowing her luck things were about to get impossible.

Yae glided across the academy grounds with a new sense of determination. She felt much better now that she had taken a break. The pains she had felt earlier had subsided and were barely noticeable. This time she skipped stretching. She still felt limber from the last round. To Yae's relief things were starting off better than last time. On the track she was making steady progress. It got boring rather quickly though. As she jogged there wasn't much to do, except observe her mostly uninteresting surroundings. The Inuzaka boy was still on the tack, and Yae would catch a glimpse of him in the corner of her eye every now and then.

The academy grounds blurred by Yae as she ran. She was near the back of the track. As she went around the curve again the sparring students could be seen in the distance. It looked like they were still on the ground, swinging wildly at each other in the dirt. Curious, she slowed to a jog, and then stopped at the edge of the track. For a few moments she craned her neck, trying to make out who was winning. As far as she could tell it looked like an even match, but she knew next to nothing about fighting. Pushing back her interest, she reluctantly returned to the track, jogging again as the boring scenery blurred by.

Two laps had gone by now, total. Yae was breathing heavily. She needed to get that under control. She focused on taking slow, steady breaths as she continued to trek the dirt. Optimism was buzzing through her now. It seemed like she was already able to run longer than when she had started, though not by a significant margin. Still, any improvement was good, no matter how little. Every now and then a slight breeze would grace by, cooling off the track and offering Yae a small degree of relief. Half way there. See? Not so bad after all.

Shiro's punch hurt a lot more than his subsequent taunt. Fudou's teeth tinged where the boy had contacted with his cheek but the taunt gave him time to recover. "That all you got?" he taunted. "That's the oldest trick in the book Shirogami!" Despite his bravado Fudou was also feeling the hurt. There would probably be a nice bruise where Shiro had punched his face just now and his shoulder would probably be sore for the rest of the day. Fudou's thought process went somewhat like punches hurt -> prevent Shiro from punching -> hold him down. After that was decided he reached forward to to feign a swipe before charging forward to hold Shiro down.

After all that searching she still couldn't find a trace as to where Amaya hade gone off to. Wandering around the corridors a little more, she decided to peek outside and ask around. While she was at it, maybe she'd ask Yae to help her if she was done when she was outside. Looking around for the fastest route, she moved herself around the Academy floors, slipping past other classrooms that were occupied and peeking in ones that were empty. Pushing the doors open, she felt the warm sunlight beat down on her as she came to the field where Yae, Pakku, Inechi and Fudou were at. It seemed they were still doing their things, so she decided not to bother them, silently searching the grounds, looking for anything that would hint as to where Amaya was. Discouraged, she turned back to trudge back to the classroom. Maybe she was back by now and had just missed her.

Yae swung her arms by her side as she ran, trying to keep proper form. Whatever that was. She had gotten into a kind of rhythm. A routine that was carrying her across the track. It was much easier when one just thought of the task as a repetitive mechanical task. She was running on autopilot now. Carrying herself, she repeated the checklist in her head. Step, swing, breath, repeat.
She started to round the far corner again, where the fight would come into view. Yae caught a glimpse of a punch thrown. Another attempted takedown. She was too busy to pay attention. Her legs were getting sore again, and watching to students inflict pain on each other didn't seem like the most effective way to ignore it.

A black filter crossed Yae's vision, blocking out the light. She brushed a wild bang out of her face. The realization that her dark mass of hair could be cumbersome while running dawned on the girl. She had never done a lot of running before, so it hadn't been a problem up until now. Cutting it off was becoming a seriously considered, though she obviously couldn't do that now. The Inuzaka boy was off a ways ahead of her now, and Yae could tell she was making decent progress. The jogging aches and pains she had experienced earlier seemed like a distant nightmare now, something she certainly wouldn't experience again. Not if things kept up this way. All this running was making her hungry though, and she couldn't wait for lunch.

Ko noticed that Sakura-chan was finished, and found it a bit odd that she didn't report it right away. As if she was avoiding him. "Hmm.. I think she is on to me" he said with a smirk. He looked at the rest of the class, they were busy, and hopefully wouldn't notice that he'd walk away again. After Sakura had walked out of the classroom, Ko followed her to the classroom door and leaned out of the opening. The girl was looking through the bathroom. "Hmm.. I have to do this quick" as Sakura dissapered into the bathroom, Ko walked past them and up the stairs into the room where the bound Amaya was. "Hey! Just picking up some rope, Sakura-chan will be joining you soon!" he said with a big smile before picking up a piece of rope and walking out of the room again.
He left the piece of rope next to the door, since he figured that Sakura-chan might put up a challenge if she saw Amaya-chan tied in the room. The rope might look a bit odd to anyone passing by but he figured that the student's wouldn't ask about it. The rope was placed there because that he had to tie her up Sakura-chan the second she opened the door. As he would have to do with the rest of the class..
He walked back downstairs into the corridor where his classroom and the bathroom were, he waited by the opening to his classroom for Sakura. But to his suprise, she didn't walk out of the bathroom but from further down in the corridor that led out into the courtyard. "Sakura-chan!" he said waving "are you done with your molding?"

She was going to turn back to go to the classroom when she heard her sensei calling to her. "Sakura-chan! Are you done with your molding?" Jumping up in surprise, she attempted to catch Yae's eye. Crossing her fingers, she took out her tessen and held it in her right hand, in front of her face for her to see. She didn't know what was happening right now, but if only Yae could help and understand the signal, then maybe they'd be able to get some help once they figured out what was going on. If it turned out to be a fluke, it wouldn't matter, but it was better safe than sorry.
Turning to the sensei, she cautiously answered, turning around and putting her tessen away again before peeking inside the building. "Hai sensei, I was just... uh... looking outside. It's such a nice day, ne?" she replied, awkwardly laughing as she slowly, ever so slowly walked back to the classroom.
