As soon as Molly made it back to the tent, she went for the first thing she desired. Water. Grabbing some, the young woman chugged it like it was going out of style, and then took some back with her to her own cot. She shrugged off her coat, letting it pool around her elbows as well as loosened her scarf as she sat cross legged on her cot. Just time to sit and chill for a bit, and apply some bandages of course.
Taking another sip of water, she looked around the tent curiously. Wow…everyone seemed to be in such a good mood! Not only that…but so…so friendly and together! How nice. It warmed her heart.

Bix entered the tent behind Molly, taking a moment to pause and shake the sand out of his hair.
"Hey they have sunscreen in here?" He had forgotten and his face was already turning pinkish-red.
He grabbed a bottle of water after Molly did and took a drink. He was feeling alright, despite the crazy scorpion attacks, but took a seat on a cot to rest up and regain a bit of energy.

"Yes, it is," Syd said quietly. "Thank you," she added as she took the cup. "Sasha, I'm sorry, I didn't realize how... the cookies might affect me," she said before taking a sip. "I think Izy is right when he says I shouldn't accept baked goods anymore."

Sasha sat down next to Syd, clearing her throat before she reached over to give the other woman's knee a pat. Her own "buzz" had been waning, but it had been a nice, euphoric feeling while it'd lasted. "Well... did it at least make you happy for .. for even a minute?" Sasha took a sip of her own water. Her face was starting to ache. Sliding a glance towards the large group that had gathered, Sasha smiled quietly. "And it's not such a bad thing to see other people happy, right?"

"Why do you think they drugged us?" Syd asked. "They want to make us happy before they send us off to something that could kill us, don't you think?" She didn't sound panicked. No, this was almost worse, like she was examining the situation clinically, and had come up with that conclusion. "If even the bugs are this large--the scorpions, the centipedes, then what are the predators like?" If there weren't bigger things, would they have brought in the full fledged hunters as well?

"Oh, that's.. that's silly." Sasha gave a nervous laugh, turning her attention once more to the woman that sat next to her. "I just.. they probably knew how stressful this was going to be for everyone.. and they .. I don't know, wanted to make us feel a little more.. a little happier? Even for just a little bit?"
Sasha cleared her throat again. That possibility sounded a little lame and Sasha knew it. Things were just easier to think about when the uglier options weren't considered.
"I'm.. I don't know, Sydney. I really don't know."
Sasha fell silent, introspective, as she rolled the bottle of water between her hands.

"I want to see a meerkat," Syd said a bit musingly. But her mind was still whirling. "I don't regret it if I do die," she said suddenly. "When I was in college, I had no friends at all. They thought I was strange--and I am," she added honestly. "But now I have friends--"
"I was being poetically tragic?" Syd asked, sounding startled. "I didn't mean to be. I'm happy." And she really was. "I really enjoy being a Mist, especially. I've gotten to try so many new things. Do you like being Life?" she asked Sasha curiously.

it was hard to remember correctly just how he had managed to evade all attacks coming from the two centipedes, but somehow he had (and of course, had also been generally useless) And now, Jason had entered the tent, red faced and certainly thankful for the cover and safety this place possessed.
Right now though, he felt a little disoriented. It had taken much longer for him to find his way here, and upon looking around, he realized there was no one here he recognized. Oh well, he would just hang around for now. Maybe he could offer some assistance to Julie in helping the injured?

Jerry's cookie buzz was still going strong. He glanced from Harrison and his tube of sunscreen to Jordan and his... shirtlessness, to Rep's excited eyeballing, and then back to Sasha and her poor fair, now pink skin. Always be prepared! And gosh, it was hot wasn't it? Well, it was a desert, right? Would make sense. He should at least... take off his sweatervest before he over heated. Undoing his scarf, he backed away from his friends towards where he had seen Harrison find the sun screen, snatching up a tube before making his way back towards where Sasha was speaking to her friend. "Ah! Sasha! Uh! I f-found some! Do you er... need any help putting it on?" He positively beamed, holding the tube up enthusiastically..

Sasha looked bemused at Sydney's sudden comment. She arched her brows and was silent for a long moment, merely watching the other trainee. "I.. I didn't have friends. My papa was the only one there for me. This," she waved her hand in a circle, "it's... taken a lot of getting used to. And, like. Nona, she didn't help much in the beginning. But ah.. after I hurt my head - and after.. after the bad mission with Clerise and Rep and Marcus... she's been a lot more supportive. I'm not entirely sure.. at any rate, I love my division. My division leader -- you know of the doctor, I'm sure -- is truly one of the nicest men I've ever met." Sasha shrugged, trailing off as Jerry approached. And he looked so happy. Sasha beamed warmly up at the man. "Ohh, Jerry. How very thoughtful of you!" She pressed her fingers to her cheeks - the skin there was already feeling taut and itchy. "I can.. I can manage, I think? Maybe just tell me if I miss any spots?"

"A banana pun would be more appropriate if we're talking about peeling," Jordan pointed out helpfully, and pulled his shirt back on to fend off the continued threat of sunscreen. "Do I really have to?" Puppy eyes. Big, wobbly, shamelessly manipulative puppy eyes.

Jerry glanced from Sasha to Syd and back again, his face flushing a bit. He had overhead the comment about the Doctor, and it made his stomach twist, even through the slightly ebbing cookie-haze. "Oh, uh... if... if you're sure, ahahaha... I sh-should just um. I should probably get my sweater off before I roast, ahahaha. Sorry if I um. Interrupted..." He offered the tube out to her timidly.

Syd hesitated, since SHE felt like the one interrupting the two, even if she'd been there first. Instead of replying straight off, though, she looked at the sunscreen. "May I borrow that when she's finished?" she asked Jerry. "Although most of my skin is covered, I still don't want to burn my face or forearms." She felt as if the conversation about their lonely pasts could wait until they were somewhere less public. Izy, SHUT. IT.

Robert came back sporting three juiceboxes in his arms, but only one of them was open, and he was sucking on it noisily. He looked happier than a kid in a candy store, and stopped right in front of Jordan the moment he mentioned bananas. And peeling.
...
"Are we talking about our dicks again?"
