They were back in Times Square now, but back in Times Square meant landing right in the middle of pure chaos and blackness. Warden felt his chest hammering in his chest, so loud he thought everyone else might have been able to hear it too.
-- Be careful, Warden. -- came Tee's soft, stricken voice.
He lunged forward, lashing out with the sai swords as he spun them between his fingers - a slash here, a dive there - before leaping back a few steps, already feeling as though they were fighting a losing battle.
Why does it feel so wrong, Tee?
"Billie, where is Billie."

The blast of sound had Andy crouching on the ground, one hand grabbing blindly at Caelius' jacket and the other pressed to her ear, as if somehow she could block it out even a little. Tears were welling up in her eyes from the pain in her head, but even then she struggled to keep her head up, watching as two of the figures walked past them.
The glowing white orbs almost seemed to leave a trail behind them as the figures walked, and somewhere in the noise Andy had a small, unwanted epiphany- they were out of their league on this one. A cold chill ran down her spine, and her throat felt dry- but she couldn't afford to fear death, not now, and instead she forced herself up on her feet again, shakily, and faced the third monster directly.
No time for weakness or hesitation. The serious look on her face was replaced, for a small moment, by a laugh as she greeted the man who'd just approached them.
"Sup, Profe." She was glad to see he was okay, and that his glasses weren't cracked, as they usually tended to be. "Glad to have you on my side, bro." Andy waved away his compliment, then smirked at Caelius. That was 2-0 for the night. Like old times, indeed.
"I don't need you to tell me that," she replied curtly, looking at the creature. The way it just stood there was disconcerting, to say the least, and Andy bit her lip, trying to make sense of it, before deciding there really wasn't anything else to do.
Swallowing nervously, she whispered a 'thank you' to Caelius, who'd dropped another barrier dagger for them, then ran past him and attacked.

Gear had been collapsed on the ground for a few minutes, trying to recover his wind. It came suddenly, without warning, the pain in his head, his eyebrows creasing and one hand gripping his head, as if to combat the screeching pain with more pain. He raised himself to one knee, the other knee bent on the ground, the screeching like a gravitational weight coming both both top and bottom. The hunter was forced to stand but he could also feel himself being forced down..
"God, that's one hell of a way to crash a party." Gear's humorless laugh didn't go past the splitting of his head, losing grip of his fedora hat he was holding as he collapsed. His throbbing head leaned against his arm, his arm pushing against his forehead with a numbing force. All he could feel was pain .. and cold. A cold sweat broke out, as a shadow passed by .. God, he was cold. Wasn't he wearing more layers? But Gear's eyes couldn't help but follow.. mesmerized by their intensity, their chill.. and most of all, the light that seemed to draw his eyes deeply within it's tempting glow. Like..
Did someone just call Andy beautiful?
"I GOT A DATE WITH HER FIIIIRST~" He yelled out to the trio of Caelius, Andy and mysterious looking nerd.
Even with the chill seeping into his bones, it seemed that the young hunter had a long way to go. He ran, in flying leaps, past Caelius, Profe and Andy to attack. WITH ANY LCUK IT MIGHT HIT .. OR NOT.. OR HE DID.

[Entering from Labyrinth] Out of one frying pan and into the fire. The cloaked figure that stood regarding them - was it another Horseman, or something else? Hell if Marsh knew. He would -- wait, ********. He glanced around rapidly. Lowe had said he was injured. Was he here, had he returned yet? Yes, there he was, leaning heavily on Afzal for support. Marsh took several long strides to reach his friend's side. "Hang on, man, I gotcha," he said; the arrow was obvious, digging into Lowe's back. "Brace yourself," Marsh said, and took hold of the arrow, bracing the hand curled around Miyako's grip on Lowe's shoulder. The arrow came out in one clean pull. Marsh silently thanked whatever sadistic god looked out for Hunters that the thing hadn't been barbed. He realized in the next moment that Miyako's Fear charges had somehow been drained; some quality of the labyrinth, perhaps, but she didn't have the necessary charge to heal properly. He muttered a curse and hastily pulled out a plain bandage to cover the wound and keep it from bleeding too badly. When he'd done that, he hesitated a bare moment, then stroked his hand down Lowe's back. "Watch yourself," he said, instead of anything else, because if he said anything else it wouldn't be enough. With that, he took off, flinging himself and Miyako towards the shadowed figure that waited mockingly for them. HP: 60/60 Damage: 5 Cumulative damage to boss: 151

It was like a slap in the face with raw colour and sound and AIR as Dave reappeared from the portal, taking deep refreshing lungfuls. He'd never been this glad to see the street in his life and it took him a moment to reorient himself, to check he was still in one piece and gather his wits.
You are fine. Argyll reassured him NOW GET UP.
He stood up like he'd been physically hauled to his feet, looking around in an utter panic. There were runics here, some of them looking pretty damn roughed up, and that was his priority, scanning the faces in the crowd for the single person he wanted to find.
He didn't even register the real danger nearby.

[Entering]
It felt as if a weight had been lifted the moment they re-appeared outside of the portal, taking a few seconds to enjoy being out of the maze with the traps and Fear laden air. However, that was pretty short-lived once Miriam looked around and saw the fight taking place... just seeing the cloaked figure set another chill down her spine. She should have guessed that they would have sent someone out of the portal to attack the other group... but damn. They weren't prepared for this.
Don't think, just get in there and try damn it. Verdandi growled out, humming with excitement as Miri's grip tightened on her weapon. This was what Ver wanted... it had been so long since the pair had been in a fight they weren't sure they would come out of alive. It was now or never, and even if in the end they didn't make it out alive, it wouldn't be for a lack of trying. If even one life could be saved, it would be worth it. Call her sentimental, but Miri always tried to hold out hope that things would turn out alright. Otherwise the fear overwhelmed her.
"I know, I know! Stop harassing me damn it, I'm not just going to stand around and do nothing Verdandi." Miriam growled back while heading into the fray. Swinging her weapon at the cloaked enemy and making contact, doing some damage before taking a few steps back again... putting some distance between her and the enemy.

And just like that, the Fear hunters began to return. Grinning, Julio took a moment to wave to the group.
"Heeey! Good to see you guys again! Bring back any souvenirs for the rest of us?" he called out before taking a step forth to bring the bladed end of his weapon down onto the monster's head. Or where he thought the head was in any case.
People were trickling out of the portal at a fairly steady pace. It looked like they were unharmed too. Good! Especially good for the ladies. It would be bad if their pretty faces were all marred up. Not that he'd like them any less if that had been the case.

Using the pendants was always an interesting experience. One moment you in were in one place, facing the worst possible danger you could imagine and the next? You were in another place, also facing danger. Somewhat less scary danger, but still danger.
"s**t man... I hope we didn't make the wrong decision in leaving back there..." He muttered, releasing his hold on Lex. To put it bluntly, Cody was disgusted with himself. He hated abandoning people. Especially when knowing that the people he had left behind were going to die.
:It was an order... and the right choice. You staying there would have made no difference. Don't let their sacrifice got waste!:
"Ah s**t!" With a yell, the mist hunter leaped for nearest target and drove Dimitri into it. Burying the great sword up to the hilt.
Dimitri was right. Even if he had stayed, he would only be a burden to them.

In a much more subdued tone than he had than raging in he spoke to Mya, putting a hand on her shoulder as he did so. "You did good. We have to protect the little ones." With Zoey protected he didn't feel quite as concerned as she rushed in for battle, but he could at least give her some covering fire. This time he took some time getting his gun lined up and squeezed off a nice clean shot. The blast of fear removed the rest of his shirt, fully exposing his muscled torso, littered with fine white scars that did not detract from his manliness. In fact, he probably looked more like the best depiction of manliness anyone had ever seen. Before either girl could grab his weapon he reloaded it, thankful that his ammunition belt hadn't been blown away from the Fear damage he had taken. Either way, he had stores of bullets in places most people never even thought to check. As he worked he called out to Zoey. "Go get 'em cowgirl!" [[ENTERING]]
He appeared with his expression somewhat of a sterner one than his usual grin. Bad things were happening all over the place and the creature that was currently here was no exception what so ever. Reuben did what he usually did in these situation, took his folding chair weapon in a firmer hold and surged forward to smack it as hard as he could with his weapon. It was what he was good for - it was a specialty. Right now he was focused on damaging more than surviving. Survival can come later.

Had it been thirty minutes already? C watched the FEAR hunters appear group by group with an air of suspicion, wondering what the ******** had happened in there. Were there more of these things? She guessed they'd fill the rest of them in when this was down - and the others were chased after, should that be their orders.
"The ******** is this? Looks like it's gonna last longer than the others." It looked different, too. Particularly that glowing thing it was carrying. Wait, that couldn't be the artifact, could it? Was that why the FEAR hunters were back here?
Whatever the case, this wasn't the time to be standing around for a Q&A session. After a couple of deep breaths, she flung her chain towards the creature, dragging it across its middle.
She did her best to avoid acknowledging the feeling of being so cold.

Billie was not expecting what she found when she emerged from the portal. All around her there was chaos and darkness. The sounds of battle sent her into an immediate jog and she looked for a familiar back with a large sun blazoned across it. "Ward?!" She spun her staff and darted past the enemy, clipping it, in her search for her partner. So many coats.. so many hunters.. [ HP: 60 / 60 Dmg: 1 Target: Boss Charge: 2 / 2 (from earlier) ]

Mya turned her head to raise an eyebrow at Lucas as he rested his hand on her shoulder. As she did so, she caught yet another glimpse of his chest, and she could feel her face reddening. "Ummmm, thanks?" she mumbled, before pulling away from him.
Standing too close to him would be much too distracting at this point.
Pulling her dagger from the ground and flipping it back into her hand, she narrowed her eyes at the creature standing before them. This time when she went in to attack, she knew (or at least, she had a lot of hope) that she would be protected by the barrier she had made. Slipping away from the group, she made her way forward, ducking around the other hunters who were surrounding the enemy and letting her dagger fly once she had a good, clear visual.
Take that, you nasty, ugly a** thing.
She would have to wait until she had a good oppurtunity to grab her dagger back again, but for now, watching it thunk into the darkness in front of her was enough.
Suddenly she began to notice that there were a lot more Hunters around then there had been, and a quick glance showed that the FEAR hunters had returned. Her heart leapt in her chest, but as she looked she did not see the tall, blonde man that she was was searching for.
Julien...

Jess was still reeling as people started pouring back. Lifting her gun again to take aim at what she assumed was the creatures general direction. Really. She aimed her gun rather notably in Dave's face as he showed up.
The look on her face almost seemed like she was drunk. Though she was healed she still had streaks of now mostly dried and crumbling blood over her good eye. Sweat trickling down her forehead kept part of it from not only remaining wet but caused it to drip back into her eye. Damn that stings.
It didn't stop her from cocking the gun again however, finger poised on the trigger.
