It had been quite a while since a dear friend had left Pride rock. Emerald hues were gazing out into the plains of the lands. The vast acres of the Pride Lands. Spacious enough that even the largest of Elephants could hide. It was simply one of those types of places that the simple amount of grass and occasional trees, made plenty of hiding spots. Also perfect places for even the darkest or brightest of lions and lionesses to hide. To not be seen. To not be found. There was a lot of thought into this. Ayita was starting to become severely worried. And, that could be quite a bad thing with this powerful head huntress. Her large frame getting to those paws. Off she went down some stone steps to go and check on little Musa. Being as the cub was in need of care. Even if he was awake. Other things could be wrong. A simple sigh escaped her maw. Though a gentle smile never wavered from her face. Leaving behind the silver to white king, whom was gazing out into the grass. As if waiting for someone to return. Someone that never would return. Ayita turned back forward. Why was this lioness one to worry over everything and everyone? Simple. It was her personality and duty.
Close to the familiar comfort of the large rock, light colored paws slowed their pace only to lift and press onto a rock. A heavy breath and a jump. Misae was heading up the rock. It took a minute or two to finally reach the main level where most of the other lionesses were basking in the sun. Cubs fighting and tearing at each other's ears playfully. Unknowing of the fight going out in the lands. Good thing. Gold eyes glanced around trying to spot a certain few. The dark brown figure that was large and powerful immediately caught that attention. however, that wasn't the figure she was solely looking for. One of them. the other was the large silver form of the King King Soyali. Eyes looked up onto the large over pass of the rock that led out into the sky. That was another figure that Misae was going to have to speak to. If it wasn't for her tired breath. And weak voice that was refusing to come out of her mouth. She ran here far too fast. Big mnistake.

More than a little bored while waiting for his sister to return, Musa felt like taking a nap because he was too bored to move around and too tired to bother with moving around. But, he didn't sleep because Abaeze would punish him for falling asleep. Instead, he stared out into nothing, zoning out as he waited for his sister's return, but, luckily for him, he didn't have to remain bored for long because Ayita's paw-steps could be heard as clear as a roar to him. Perking up, the young lion wiggled out of the little crevice his sister had placed him in and looked around for Ayita. When he caught sight of the dark lioness, the cub jumped to his feet and called out, "Ayita, help, I'm so bored!" very loudly. The distant rumble of laughter from lions sounded in his ears, but he ignored them. He wanted someone to keep him entertained while waiting for Abaeze's return.
[Enter Jawara from the Pridelands.]
Having moved slower than the young lioness, Jawara wasn't as out of breath as she was, and so he would able to speak without much hindrance. But, since the lioness was exhausted, he lent her his shoulder as support so she would rest and catch her breath. He didn't want her fainting from overworking herself. "Breathe, take a few breaths." Panting, the lion tired to catch his own breath. He saw Ayita's dark form glide along the flat stones while Soyali remained on his perch overlooking the entire savanna.

The blue sky was clear. The cranes and scavenger birds were up in the air, enjoying the air and freedom. The sounds of faraway trumpeting elephants. So much that could be watched, yet so much that wasn't being watched. Those green hues were focusing on a little hole where a mud ball of fur would be hiding. Rather, staying where a dear friend had placed the little cub. The dark brown paws soon came to a stop from their paced tempo. The soft expression on Ayita's face only stayed with a gentle smile, sitting on her haunches. "There is only so much I may help you with little one." A paw lifted and placed itself on his head. Carefully ruffling his fur. This would only worsen the thoughts the other lionesses had about her being a wonderful mother. She was a mother to all. Older than her or not. Did not matter. It was again her personality. But a laugh came from her jaws. "What do you wish to do?" The head huntress pulled that massive paw away.
It was sure harder to catch a breath than you would expect. From charging like this small body had been, Misae was surprised she hadn't collapsed yet. However, she was glad she hadn't. That would only cause more problems than the ones that would be coming. The lioness took a deep breath and tried to relax. "I'll b-be okay... G-g-go t-talk to S-soyali.." Sitting she shook her head. Trying to rid of the exhaustion hitting her. They couldn't stay here long. If Bodaway and Abaeze continued their little spat, serious damage could happen to both of them. And that couldn't happen. Wasn't supposed to happen. Shouldn't happen.

Musa batted away Ayita's large paw, not liking being treated like a little cub! He was old enough to watch the hunts! But, he was glad Ayita was here. Now he wouldn't be so bored. Rolling onto his back, the cub playfully batted at Ayita's large front paws while saying, "Play with me! Abaeze is taking forever!" It was true. The sun was higher in the sky when the lioness left to gather herbs for him, and now it was much lower. She was taking forever, and she seemed in such a rush to gather the herbs. He pouted as he thought of staying in the little hide-out she placed him in all day while he waited for her. "We can practice stalking! Can we?" The idea got him back on his feet and his eyes bright and alert. He wanted to play. The pain in his head was long gone anyways, and he didn't feel dizzy. Just bored! He wanted to play! Not sit around for the rest of the day doing nothing at all!
Jawara nodded, seeing no reason to keep the lioness moving. The warrior dashed over to their kind king, approaching him with great urgency. "My king," Jawara dipped his head low to the white lion, "Abaeze and Bodaway are fighting. Bodaway tried to run away and Abaeze tried to stop him. Abaeze's injuries have opened." The warrior stepped back, unsure what his king's reaction would be like. Surely he'd be composed and level-headed, but a lion never could know someone's movements. The warrior stood ready to answer the king's questions if he indeed had some to ask.

It always amazed Ayita just how hyper cubs could really be. Never ceasing to have limitless amounts of energy. The little furballs used all that energy to grow in many ways. Play was a learning process to help them in the future. Which, this energy was used on. Later it would be put towards much more serious matters. Like protecting the pride. Or hunting. Seeing the little dark colored mud ball of a cub in higher spirits seemed to just help feed those simple thoughts of truth. There was no way she was getting out of this one. Neither would she want to. The head huntress loved cubs. Especially this little furball. Taking in a good breath and letting out a small sigh, that large frame stood once more. "You asked just the right lioness to practice with~" Eyebrow raised and a show of fangs portrayed a playful smile of her own. This was the cub hidden inside even this stoic and serious head huntress. Some of the other lioness that were watching were slightly surprised. "Don't teach him too well Ayita!" Hollered one of the lioness. Large head turned, and emerald eyes looked in the general direction. Simple joking. Looking back down at the cub, she reached that paw out once more. Not to mess with the top of his head where in the future would be a mane, but to lightly tap him on the shoulder. Before darting off. "Find me~" Pouncing down the rocks with ease, it was time to play in the tall grasses close to Pride Rock. Perfect place to play. And close to the safety of home. These grasses, were Ayita's domain. The cub had no idea was he would be getting into.
On a beautiful day such as this, during a beatuiful season such as now, with a tired body such as this, ressting amongst the warm top rock was a needed cure to inner stress. Something Soyali knew well. Even if, it was self inflicted. Continuing to mourn over the loss of that beautiful light of his life. However, matters of the pride were still his concern. When eyes had lazily and rather slowly opened, hearing the rushed paw steps upon stone, questions already arose. Why would Misae of all lionesses be running to the point of exhaustion. Jawara was a different story. The expressions of urgency was taken note of. When the rosy colored male of the two came in a speeded trot up the stone to the point, and confronted the great King, those wise eyes held no change in expression. So, that is why it had taken Abaeze so long to return. Along with the absence of Bodaway. Muscles tensed as the large body slowly rose to its paws. This was not a matter to stay resting on. It sounded quite serious. "Explain to me what you know.."

Brightening at the challenge, Musa immediately followed after Ayita, imaging how Abaeze hunted for prey in the savanna, mouth opened and shoulders rolling. He could smell Ayita with his mouth opened, and he tried to follow her scent in the tall grasses. It was more than a little dizzying as she was much better at hunting and stalking than he was. He wouldn't be able to find her with what he was doing now. Pausing, Musa gathered his breath, held on to it for several moments, and then released it. Focusing his mind, he tried to listen for the huntress' movement, for the sound of her breath, or for the crunching of her paws against a twig or something on the ground. He also used his sense of smell to follow her scent. She was bigger and faster than him, and he doubted he would ever catch up to her, but he would try. Going through the grass once again, the cub continued his search for the lioness.
Seeing Soyali animated, even by a little, was a surprise to Jawara, but he quickly covered up his surprise as he answered his king. It was important that he knew everything about what he and Misae knew. "It appeared that Bodaway was trying to run away for accidentally harming young Musa, and Abaeze, who already was out in the Pridelands, saw him and gave chase. I smelled Abaeze's blood. She probably opened her wounds by fighting with Bodaway to keep him in the pride." Jawara took a step back from the king so he may pass him if he chose to. "They still appeared to be fighting when we left them. They're near the border, in that direction." Pointing in the direction they had come from, the warrior prayed to the spirits of the kings of the past that everyone was okay.

The tall grasses of the savannah could be a dangerous place for both predator and prey. No matter the side of the spectrum you were on. Killer or the hunted. Dangers lurked down every blade. No matter size or weight. You could be a mighty elephant. The tall giraffe. The powerful lion. The bully buffalo. Speedy cheetah. There was always something that could harm you. From plant life itself to other animals that you simply did not even notice was there. Life around every grain of sand. Small rock and otherwise. Live and let live. Die and let die. But, protect yoursef from both if you are not ready. Musa would learn this in the years to come. For the moment, little tasks and feats had to be accomplished to learned lessons like that. Already the small mud ball had learned a bit from the experiences from other's, having seen them. Among learning from his own mistakes. Ayita, was simply going to help out a tad bit more. Even with that dark shade of fur, the head huntress was able to camouflage herself into the tans and greens and browns of the living, dead, and very much deceased grasses. Very aware where the cub was, and knowing very well that the cub wasn't aware where she was, the head huntress grinned. Ears relaxed at a good posture. Movement was slow. No crack of a twig. Completely avoiding those. Tail low. Head and body low. Eyes, sharp, and cunning watching a target that was hunting her.
Round ears hidden by a silky white mane send the information heard straight to that brain. Almost immediately a new facial expression was discovered by anyone that happened to be looking. Brows furrowed and there was a look that projected worry. Sever worry. Soyali was already up on those large and powerful paws. Quicklyy he set himself in motion. Metaphorical motor running. Gears cranking. The gentle giant glided across the stone. Heading down from the highest point in the Pridelands. The peak of the mighty Priderock. Throne of kings. The place he spent most of his time. Basking in the light of his love. This mighty king was done sulking for now. He had a problem brought his way and he must deal with the issue. This was his job afterall. His duty. So, he sha'll do just that. Reaching the bottom with ease Soyali found his way towards the edge of the pride's home. Hopping down the stones after passing a still very worn our Misae, he glanced back to see if Jawara was coming. Whether or not he was didn't matter. Though it would be nice if he did. To show the great king where the problem and dispute had been happening. Abaeze and Bodaway could have escalated the fight to a new level. A male of Bodaway's size versus a huntress.... a weakened huntress of Abaeze's size wasn't exactly a great thing.

Prowling through the grasses while trying not to make a sound, Musa wondered if would ever find Ayita. He did his best not to make a sound, avoiding twigs as much as possible. It started becoming a habit to look at the ground to make sure he wasn't stepping on anything that could give his position away. Ayita and Abaeze make this look so easy, the young cub thought as he searched for the headhuntress. Where she was, she was hiding in the tall grasses better than the cub was doing.
Jawara looked Misae. "I'll come back quickly," he promised before dashing across the stones in the direction where he and Misae last saw their friends. "Please follow me this way, my king," said the warrior as he leaped into the grasses and bounded toward their pride-mates.
[Exit Jawara to the Pridelands.]

Having enough of sulking in the cave of kings, Manaba had decided to go ahead and leave. Emerging into the light and the sight of the pride. Almost immediately a smile graced his face. But faltered as he caught sight of two fleeing males. Why was Soyali following Jawara? That was highly unusual. Looking over the pride members everyone seemed accounted for. Minus a guard or two... Wait... Bodaway and the injured Abaeze. Misae seemed worn out. Panting like a fleeing jackal. From his vantage point he could see the little brown form of Musa playing in the grass. Just a few feet away from him was his large sister. Playing? Seemed plausible. For now however, he was concerned as to what would have caused Soyali to be heading out to the Pridelands in such a rush. This. Had to be bad. Real bad. For now, he sat there and watched to see what was going to happen. Soon though he would eventually go back down and bug the pride. He was depressed enough. The past couple of days getting to the best of him. And not in a good way.
For as small and rowdy as little Musa could be, there was no doubt that one day he would be a great guard. Or a hunter himself. Maybe not as fast as a lioness but a force to be reckon with. For how young he was, and how much less experience he had in this sort of subject, the little mud ball was doing respectfully well. He had been watching for sure. Playing with the other cubs. Earlier showed that he would be a great leader one day as well if that were to ever happen. Ayita was proud of the little guy. Knowing that he was like that because of Abaeze. A great pride sister. A great sister. And would surely one day be a great mother. If she raised Musa like this, that showed something. As Ayita stalked around the cub silently, she purposefully stepped on a twig to the right of him, to see how he would react. Quickly before she prowled to the back of him. Careful not to make another noise. Knowing very well what she was doing. Watching the cubs body language as if she herself was watching prey. No, she wouldn't attack him. Just simply those sharp eyes analyzing action and movement. Soon enough she circled around to the left of the cub. To get a good view of his reaction. This was a game. A learning game.
