“Its a flesh wound!!!” Manfread said as he forced himself to stand after the explosion, “And I have discovered there are land mines kicking around sooo watch your step.”
Manfread decided to change strategies, looking for land mines and eyeing the next group of automatons, he would use his byakugan to get a number on the enemy.
“Right, I'm going underground watch my sword, and I'll strike where there aren't IEDs,” Manfread said sinking into the ground using Earth Military Movement (Tsuchi Gunjikoudo no jutsu). He would avoid the bombs and swiftly strike at the automatons, using his sword like a shark fin occasionally poking it out of the ground to act like a beacon for his allies.

Akane heard the sound of an explosion, seeing Manfread get flung in the air in front of him. He moved his fingers the puppet doing a drastic change in direction skidding to a stop throwing dirt up at the automatons. Akane saw that his teammate was okay, this was good. He hopped out of the puppet, threads came out of his wrists and gripped onto the side of a lamp post. He was using the Thread Reach Technique from his bloodline. He stayed up there, and then began to spin his free hand, Menei lifted up in the air, the strong Strings of chakra holding him up in the air, then the blade began to spin faster and faster. Akane waved his hand back and Menei was pulled back, then with a huge thrust he threw Menei forwards, the the blade horizontal and parrallel to the ground, not touching it though. If there were landmines, it would be bad if he were in Menei, he would damage his puppet and himself. He need to stay off the ground. He forcefully severed his chakra strings letting Menei spin in the air, the blade spinning it resembled the throw of a windmill shuriken, only bigger and greased in poison. He then reconnected the strings and stopped Menei from being sent far away. Akane then hopped from wall to wall, keeping up with his teammate, He could see the sword pooping out of the ground, Akane was now just on the roof overhead of Manfread, Menei striking down any Automaton in his way.

Howaido entered the first building he could being much more careful than Manny, Baka... Turning in to face whatever was in the door he found two automatons, he performed Caligraphy (C Rank) twice on each automaton and then sent a sweeping strike from his right foot in a steady Axe Kick (C Rank). He raced up the stairs to the roof where he found a group of five, he utilized the Swordslinger technique (B Rank) and swiftly struck at them in a whirling dance of his blades. The automatons burst into scrap piles as he carved them to bits with his four blades in precise sword sheathing and unsheathing motions. With the first building secured he leaped to the roof of the next his weapons bared for anything.

Not only was this an effective tactic, but it would also alert Akane were safe spots to stand would be, especially when all the automatons were gone. But the automatons tactics changed slightly, as they became more and more aware of the threats of the suna ninja.
Akanes puppet would wreak destruction of a rather large group of automatons, saving a small group of civillains who rushed out to the ninja yelling into his ear. "The ships! The ships! You must get to the ships!" As more and more automaton areas were cleared, civilians tried a first time desperate push to actually take the beach as opposed to being hunkered down.
Howaido's techniques would basically destroy the smaller components of the automatons, a small bit of over kill for cruedly made things. The rest of the pac, instantly knowing what occured, would begin to retreat, and change tactics. where were they going?
Basts launching of the kunai into the airdraft would send most of the kunai in a harmless direction away from the beach, but one found its way into a small group of automatons, exploding and detonating them. Getting rallied and pumped for the backup and the help, a group of three people popped out of the bunker: a large man carryign a huge broad sword, a smaller man with shapr eyes who had managed to get his hand on the flyers rapid kunai luanchers, and a investigator looking like person. The carefully and steadly made their way to Bast, speaking and yelling on arrival. "We thank you for your help ninja! We were getting pounded back until you guys came! There are boats over there that cannot be destroyed, or we have no way of launching any counter attack much lass a successful one. please! Secure them!"
Meanwhile the Automatons had changed tactics to the changing battlefield. Basts cumulonimbus setting had wreaked havoc on most the flyers, causing the them to lower their altitude and fly within danger range of all formes of attakcs of the civilians. Just because they had gained a small amount of ground, the citizens were fighting hard to get to the boats, but it seemed the automatons were getting more interested in them. Swars and swarms seemed to be appearing out of the water on new ones, as gliders began straffing runs, some even kamikaze runs to sink the ever important ships. Now down to 5, it seemed our ninja needed to hurry if the port city ever stood a chance.

Akane hopped off the roofs and then landed down where the Automatons had began to clear out of. It was a clear spot too, seeming he was standing on a spot where Manfread had made a stabbing mark. As the people came to him pointing at the ships. He looked out to the beach seeing thr ships, most of them smoke boweling out of them already. <********..." He swore under his breath, he looked over to the swords location, where Manfread was under "Manfread! We need to get to the ships!" He said yelling at him begining to follow his path to the waters edge, Menei rolling beside him. Akane's eyes widened as he saw the Automatons beginning to go out to the water... He couldn't send one of his puppets out... without begin able to see them he wouldn't know where to aim them.
Then an Idea hit Akane, Akane grinned putting his hands together. "Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" In a poof of smoke, two clones appeared. Then Akane made another hand seal, slamming his hand on the ground "Kuchiyose Kugutsu: Ni! Thantas, Ereni, and Sanshouuo!" The three puppets appeared in front of the clones, the clones connected chakra strings to them, Akane disconnected from Menei and he was Unsummoned, Akane connected to his puppet Thantas, The other two clones connected to Ereni and Sanshouuo. Sanshouuo's Sheild went up and Ereni got in battle position for any incoming Automatons. Akane straightened Thantas' arms and the scrolls dropped down, Akane clasped his hands together "Senju Soubu..." Out of the scrolls came out hundreds of arms, and from those arms hundreds more came out, they covered the ground, probably going over Ied's and grabbing Automatons and pulling them in, breaking them more then likely or just stalling them for awhile, until some arms reached the boat grabbing onto the side of it. Akane looked at Manfread "Manfread! Run along the arms to get to the boats!" he said pulling out a small clockwork bird. "Tell Bast of our progress. We have cleaned out the ground Automaton's to the Beach and are making our way to the boats now." he said, feeding the bird some chakra and the bird began to move and flew off in Bast's direction.
The Bird got to bast soon enough landing on her shoulder, giving a voice recorded message to her "We have cleaned out the ground Automaton's to the Beach and are making our way to the boats now."

Manfread jumped out of the ground and onto the arms. Opening the first Gate his speed increased even farther, running along he swiftly covered the distance, he used one arm to wield his sword and slay near by automatons. Landing heavily on the ship he raced back and forth with great speed, smashing the tin cans to the ground with the tremendous strength acquired from kaimon if not destroying them with his mighty giant sword. He recounted the numbers of the enemies with his byakugan and prepared for more combat.
Man this is going to suck after the battle Manfread thought as he recalled that there was no medic in the squad. Oh well, the price to pay for good combat.

Al didn't hesitate when he saw the projectiles headed straight for them. He quickly used the Spinning Shield of Winds technique to send the weapons back into the air, then waved Lucas and Zane forward, sending two Decapitating Air Waves at the closest flyers.

Howaido wasnt covering ground fast enough and he could tell, he formed a seal as he released a quick burst of chakra. "Raiton: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" (A Rank) Two Shadow Clones appeared by his sides as he landed on the roof of the next building. The two clones jumped to the buildings on either side as Howaido began to man the one he was on. In the worst case scenario when most of the citizens had escaped he would have to start destroying buildings to hasten the counter attack. Coming across a group of ten automatons it seemed they were targeting the strongest source of chakra in the immediate area. Howaido struck hard with his newly made style Iwagakure no Taijutsu,"Kuma Kobushi [ Bear Fist ] (C Rank)! His footing sturdy he was prepared for a long fight utilizing this as a good stand off, he was sure more would swarm him. "Come at me!" He struck hard down at the first attacking automaton with a mighty blow downward from his right hand palm open the shock wave would likely cause the thing to explode. he then struck behind him analyzing the weak points of the first encounters and lashed out with a quick forceful jabbing strike from his left hand as he pivoted on his heel and set his footing again,"Kannyuu Tanima [ Collapsing Valley ]!" (C Rank) The attack was right in the objects weakest point of build and would make it easily fall apart.
Clone 1 met less resistance as it demolished the first two automatons on the roof easily making Bukijutsu its weapon of choice. The clone lashed out with its large cleaver and sliced at both enemies in one strike,"Saidai Shinpuku [ Upwards Swing ]!" (C Rank) That taken care of he ran down the stairs to the lowest floor of the building, meeting three automatons he decided to attack just one in the middle to get a decent position. Running the clone jumped up high and came down with massive force onto the first clone slamming his cleaver downwards into its 'heart' per say. He brought his sword back out quickly to parry an attack from the other two.
Clone 2 went with Ninjutsu, the things were made of metal, so fire should do the trick quite easily. Coming down hard on the five on the roof he landed on Clone 2 made a few quick seals and brought a hand to his mouth as he released a flurry of streaming fireballs one for each automaton. "Katon: Fire Lily technique!" (A Rank) Whence each attack struck the clone entered the buildings lower floors and seeing no other enemies quickly made its way to the next building over. It was slow progress but, together it seemed the group was pushing back the enemy force and Howaido was acting as a one man army to keep everyone safe.

Bast ended her Daitoppa as soon as it had served its purpose. She ordered the Princess to use their makeshift defense--a chunk of building--as an offense, and in response the golem threw the object at a rather large group of incoming flyers. If it hit, the piece of building would crush the automatons and likely break in to harmlessly small pieces.
"Got it!" she shouted over the commotion to the civilians. "If any of you can fight from somewhere safe, please do so!"
She relieved one of the men of a kunai launcher, and handed it to the Princess. The golem gladly took the machine and attached it on her back next to her large hammer. At around the same time, the mechanical bird reached Bast and informed her that Akane's group was advancing to the boats, just as the woman began heading there with her entourage. She wound the little creature up once more and sent it back with another message: "Secure the boats and take out the automatons overhead. Will be there shortly."
Meanwhile, Mononoke had worked her way through almost all of the surrounding buildings. She was on her way back down when a group of fliers passed between a couple of the buildings, at which point she decided to hijack their enterprise. She jumped from a building and landed on one of the automatons, quickly liberating it of its equipment and sliding in to the flight mechanism. As soon as she was used to the controls, she launched the automaton's parts at the other machines in the group, aiming at critical points that would make them lose power and drop to the ground. If this succeeded, the golem would start running sweeps through the city, cleansing the air of any flying threats.

Nodding Lucas ran up to meet with his group.
"alright. how much range do you guys have? i'm gonna see if our group can take out as many of those enemy fliers as possible."
he said being slightly optimistic about the situation.

The team of akane and manny would have bragging rights over the Suna team, their teamwork strategy and attack working wonders as the two cleared 50 automatons together. Manny would make it to the boats, but soemthing was off, and about to drastically change.....
Al's wind deflection technique technique not only worked wonders, it actually took out two more automatons on the ground, gaining enough kenetic energy to hit them on the heads and splitting the small pieces away from itself. His extreme decapitating airwaves shot out for the group of flyers....just as Mononoke tried to to hijack one of the flyers. Althogh the golem was untouched, the flyers she was aiming for were little bits and pieces now. With little or no place to move to, and failing with the force of gravity, it seemed the golem was in perilous danger.
The princess chunk of building took out 5 automatons, indeed crushing them to bits. Yet here position being close to Howaidos, would begin to notice what was occuring.
Howadio's clones would work well, taking out several of the automatons and watching their pieces go spewing about. It wasnt until the fire technique that he would notice what was occuring.
For those who had been here before, the ominous green shield appeared once again, forcefully pushing anyone and everyone back on the other side of the barrier from the automatons. The automatons themselves seemed to regroping and reforming at the docks, more and more appearing on and around the ships. The barrier had receeded enough for the team to group up with the defending citizens at one of the bunkers or kunai launcher nests. The automatons seemed to take no aggressive action, but were certainly gathering in numbers by the remaining ships.
The citizens who had talked to Bast pointed out a few key details they had learned, mapping out and iving the sannin a map to safely travese the beach. "We booby trapped the whole beach, and the still kept comming through. We have basically fought off a one year seige, gaining no ground until you ninja showed up. Also during this time, that ******** shield never once showed. Its on a timer, we have calculated, and i think you will all wanna be ready for when is dropped.
Out to sea, one of the seven ships repositioned itself inside the barrier a little better, making it a little closer to shore but still outside of its kunai launchers range.

Manfread watched as the enemy's shield activated.
“Ah hell running like b****** again?” he yelled at the automatons as he came up to the edge of the boat. Looking out into the see, Manfread noticed the ship out as sea, realizing he could not see the bottom of the land from where he was standing he immediately evacuated his guts in a massive spew of barf.
Hammering a foot down onto the wooden deck he leaped back onto land, avoiding any IEDs along the way. Landing on the ground he placed the tip of his sword in the dirt and used it as a leaning post. Starting to hyperventilate a little he punched himself in the gut. Hard. Barfing once more he recovered his composure and rested waiting for the shield to go down or the enemy to finish running. Giving the nice guy thumbs up and saying "I'm ok!"

  Zane was with his team while they were fight he did hand seals and used Sanzengarasu no Jutsu (Scattering One Thousand Crows Technique) a massive of crows appeared to distance any automatons while they were being attacked at the same time Tried to use his senor ability to see if he could notice anyone controlling the automatons with in the area.

The Princess, being the first to notice Mononoke's plight, made a leap to save its comrade. It caught the other golem and landed, sending a spiderweb of cracks across the ground where it landed. As soon as the two recovered, they noticed that, in the mean time, Bast had used Gunsei (C-Ranked) to create a long compound bow for Mononoke to use.
The fur-clad golem rushed over and retrieved the weapon, and quickly scavenged several pieces of metal. The Princess crushed, split, and bent the metal in to shape, completing the makeshift arrows as quickly as possible. With her ammunition ready, Mononoke motioned for the Princess to follow her to the docks. The two would dash through the metropolis, with Mononoke shooting arrows at the location of the transmitters inside every automaton without a shield on the way.
After using Gunsei to create the aforementioned bow, Bast responded to the civilians.
"Thanks for the information!" she began. "Get someplace safe, though! We can't have you dying out here!"
The woman then took off at a sprint through the metropolis, tailing the Princess and Mononoke. On her way out, she shouted for Howaido to get moving toward the docks, if he hadn't already. On her way through the metropolis, the woman would also pick up a few pieces of handy equipment, if there were any, for later use.
