I glare at Steve with a look of sheer annoyance and decide to cast my spell anyways in the form of a weak gust of wind aimed directly at his face while making a "talk to the hand" gesture.

The hallway seems to be almost deliberately labrinthine, with its passages winding and twisting. Finally, you find one reiforced door at the end, with a number pad off to the side. from what you can tell, it requires a password, but you remember seeing no such codes on the papers you've checked.

Seeing the door with the number pad, I put my book away and go up to observe the number pad, seeing if there is anything odd about it.

The keys on the number pad seem.... numeric! However, you do notice that there are 5 letter keys under it: T,O,F,E,P

Realizing that we don't have any knowledge of what the password is, I decide to close my eyes and hit random keys on the keybad and end up typing in "0,T,P,F,O,E."

the key pad clicks as you enter the last number, but the door remains locked. "Perhaps you should go back and look for more knowledge." an automated voice says.
