Alex stared at him a moment, then opened the door and walked back into the room. Giving him a surprisingly warm smile. "Trust me...you're not missing much." she said, walking towards the bed. "I know of a...few people who are older than me that have yet to get into their first relationship. Others got into it late and are rather happy. The rest of us...well..." she began, crossing her arms uneasily. "All we can remember is all of the stupid drama that comes with an early relationship. Actually...I know of a couple girls that are becoming cynical, and they're not even in their thirty's yet."

"Oh yeah?" Lucas asked, a slightly sarcastic undertone in his voice. "Well, I saw a lot of my friends in high school rush into relationships, brag about their sex lives... It made me jealous. I was... a jock, in high school. I was on the baseball team, right? Designated hitter and a star player, but... No girls ever fawned over me. I worked out, got muscular... still nothing. So I just... never bothered with relationships."

Alex smirked a bit and sat down on the other side of the bed. "I rushed into them. Lived with a foster family who...treated me like I was an adopted kid. Their real kids always got anything and everything they wanted first, I got whatever was left. So I...tended to hang around people I felt more accepted with. Nothing ever lasted very long. Longest was...a month or two? Half of them got what they wanted and moved on. Others I was too...butch for them. Out-maned them or whatever you wanna call it...hurt their pride. They dumped me for someone girlier. Others...I was a trophy girl friend." she said. Then she turned around and gave him a crooked but faintly sad little grin. "So, I don't know how different things are for guys and girls, but...really...you're not missing anything other than sex. Probably better to get into a relationship later. Find someone who's mature enough to really like you."

Lucas listened, but one bit of Alex's monologue in particular stuck with him: "... 'Trophy girlfriend'?" he asked slowly, not quite knowing what that meant, but at the same time realizing it... and feeling disgusted by such a notion. Such an idea went against everything his parents had taught him about how to treat a woman.

Alex grinned a bit and looked away. "Yeah. I was in...what was essentially a gang before I ran away. I was one of the top members, so I was a bit of a catch. Then when I was on my own, I had to do different things to earn money. Not what you would think either...I mean robberies, that kind of stuff. I got my powers and became really good at stealing and stuff. So...again a was a rather good catch to show off. Then I did finally find the right path, found good people to be around. But I was still...kind of a trophy for those who found out who I was."

"That's... That..." Lucas said, then he just shook his head. "I'm sorry, if you thought I'd treat you like a trophy or anything. I... I'd never... My parents taught me to... to never act like that..." he said, looking down at the floor.

Alex smirked a bit and looked back at him. "No...really that wasn't the problem. I just...from past experience, I didn't want to rush right into sex or anything. Weather you'd act differently in the morning...we'd both realize what we did and regret it...or things would be utterly awkward when we had to work together...whatever. I knew things would be weird afterward. I didn't want to do that." she said gently, then looked away again. "Which...like I said. I feel stupid for avoiding anything that would put me in that situation, then just jumping into it when..."

Falling asleep, as he was deep in thought.Slightly snoring a little, John rolled a little. Which was soon found out to be a bad idea for the sleeping man.Rolling of the edge,he seemingly free fall for 3 stories. Til, he hit another edge,but that didn't stp him. As he seemingly flipped of and fell one more story and crashed into a car. Smashing the roof of the car,John was out cold as the car alarm went off outside the motel.

Alex blushed a little and looked away. Well...he was right. She probably shouldn't answer that. His dream version...or that woman...or...ugh whatever she wanted to call that...it was pretty surreal. If he was inexperienced, then she could only assume it would be nothing like his dream version.
Luckily, a crash and a car horn from outside caught her attention. Just enough of a distraction for her to try and side-step this...incredibly awkward conversation. "Then I won't answer." Alex replied, jumping up from the bed and walking over to the window.

Lucas followed, and watched as what seemed to be a van was surrounded by a group of five heavily-armed bikers.
"Aw, s**t... Hero time," he said, hurriedly putting his clothes on and opening the window, jumping down from it and landing in a crouch. He stood up after a brief moment and walked over to the gang.
"Hey! You five might wanna clear out," he called. The gang leader, a grizzled-looking man with a cigarette in his mouth, looked to Lucas and laughed.
"Screw you, a*****e. Get outta here before we put you down!" he said, and the gang aimed their guns and fired...
Except Lucas-- Or Paragon, now-- was not there. He moved too quickly for the bullets to hit him sprinting over to the nearest gang member and punching him in the gut, then elbowing him into unconsciousness.
The gang leader, however, pulled out a Desert Eagle while Lucas was distracted and shot him in the head as the young hero turned to face him. Paragon went down immediately, crumpling in a heap.

Alex stared out the window, then groaned when Lucas muttered "hero time". She stepped away from the window and glanced over at the clock. It wasn't even six yet...
As he lept out the window, Alex jotted back to the bathroom to fetch her clothes. She wasn't too worried about him going out on his own for a bit. He did take on that ugly giant and pop right back up after each severe hit. She'd only managed to pick up her jeans (which were still damp) when the gun shots rang out.
Alex flinched and looked back at the window. She put one leg in, and hopped her way back out and over to the window. Just as one last shot rang out. She watched Paragon go down, and the leader with the gun pointed at him.
Her eyes widened, and keen-jerk reaction set in.
Forgetting about dressing the rest of the way, Alex jerked her leg back out of the jeans and hopped onto the window seal. In nothing but her long tee shirt and undies, she lept out of the window and bounced across the walls of the buildings. Teeth bared, claws extended and glowing with heat, she landed in a rather aggressive crouch next to Paragon's body.

The leader and his boys looked at Alex incredulously, and then they started laughing. Hard.
But the laughter soon stopped as Paragon stood up, rubbing the side of his head. "...Ow." he said, as the spent bullet casing popped off of his forehead to reveal a bullet-sized hole that showed his gleaming Adamantium skull, which itself healed quickly.
The five bikers immediately ran for the hills, screaming things like: "HE'S ******** IMMORTAL!"

Alex growled, fire licking her clenched fists as the thugs ran off. She really, really, really, REALLY wanted to chase after them and burn off each one of their ****ing....ERGH!
Still growling, she stood and straightened herself out. Well...as much as she could in basically just a tee shirt. She crossed her arms and tried to make sure she wedged her hands enough that she couldn't turn around and slash at something...or someone.
...that was kind of stupid though. Just jumping out like this. And after she knew that he could handle severe injuries. Stupid...ugh.
"You okay?" she asked. Just to say something really.

"Yeah... Probably gonna have this headache for a few minutes. Half an hour, tops." Lucas said, as he'd gone back to that mindset. Then he looked to Alex and blushed a bit.
"Uh... Couldn't you have gotten dressed first...?" he asked, somewhat embarrassed.
