They would need fire. for sure.
She pull the last piece of the sandwich in her mouth as he hand reached down for one of the poke balls on her belt when Nyx pulled two of hers up, fingers sliding over for one of the dusk balls as well.
"We can do that."
She looked over at Aila when she explained it, then over at Nyx was wa

Who she called out, was an angry looking Charmeleon with scars ripped from his shoulder down his chest. next to her was dropped, once again, her Sharpedo.
"Go on Nyx's order, switch out when she calls for it." she told the two Pokemon.

"Char" the Charmeleon snarled in annoyance, but stepped forward next to Nyx's Charizard, arms crossed.

Oh, heat and cool? Well he could help with that, and didn't have to say that he hadn't understood until it had been explained. "Char," Aulus nodded to the Charmeleon, "flame the door when the other fire types do."

He hoped this worked. He could deal with being here while they were moving forward or had a plan to move forward at least. If they really were trapped though... He didn't know. He'd never been in a situation like this before. He felt as green as a spring leaf compared to everyone else here, they were probably used to this stuff. He wasn't. He felt lost in the sea of technical terms, crushed under the enormity of the possibility that he could die here just from lack of oxygen. Aulus' grip on his staff tightened again as he stared at the metal door. They'd get through it. Somehow. They had to.

Galactic Deimos

Deimos' eye darted to Nyx when the word "quench" left her mouth. He stared at her in a way that suggested he knew exactly what she meant, though he didn't speak, leaving others to elaborate on the fluffy-haired Rocket's suggestion.

It was a perfect solution.. thought up by a Rocket instead of him. At some point the Galactic leader's hand had found its way to the spot on his arm where Nyx had administered his sedative and he'd started smiling again.

When pokémon started lining up to ready attacks, he snapped out of his dopey grin and scurried out of the way to stand beside Tethys.

The grin hadn't gone unnoticed by TRP, who was eyeing Deimos with an arched eyebrow as she directed Axel to join the line up.

Aila caught the momentary frown, but she cared to respond to it neither externally nor internally. They had a means of escape. They had only to enact it.

A moment's passage found the pink Growlithe at Aila's side once more, turning a critical glare at her trainer as she awaited orders. "Flame Wheel on the cue," the agent requested. She had assumed 'quenching' was a non-technical term referring to just the cooling process, but if it involved fire as well, then she could contribute. She stood back, allowing Charmant to line up alongside the other pokemon and await the order to strike.

Tethys' gaze shifted left and right as the idea bubbled up, took shape, was decided on.. and twitched a muscle at the idiot grin plastered on Deimos' face. Saying nothing, she recalled her Sableye and motioned her Starmie over. Its core blinked once as it floated over, limp and drooping.

The Galactic exchanged a few items on her belt for some others - the sandwiches her affixed, Sableye recalled, a potion vial selected and sprayed upward. Her starfish Pokemon shivered and straightened under the fine mist of drops.

Meanwhile, Tethys clicked the catch on another Pokeball and released a five foot tall moth whose six wings glimmered with flammable orange scales.

Nyx stood clear of where the various lines of pokemon were standing, ready to heat and cool the door until it was as brittle as glass.
"Fire!" The scientist ordered and was silent for a few moments while the metal heated up under the intense onslaught of flames from the fire-pokemon. "Stop! Cool it!" She called out, signalling for the ice and water attacks. Nyx would repeat this over and over, about ten times, before she would stop.

Alexina bounced over to join the line up of pokemon, and used Ice Beam on the door whenever ordered to do so. This was fun! What was going to happen to the door? Whatever it was, she certainly hoped it'd be interesting.

Claire didn't share her pokemon's sentiments, instead hoping to blast through the door as soon as possible so they could get out and get the hell away from the Galactics. She didn't like being stuck with them before, but after being stared at she was growing more and more nervous of Tethys.

With Sharpedo one one side of her, taking the cues from Nyx to let lose a gushing blash of water onto the door. Faleen stood with her arms crossed over her chest as she stood by Nyx, watching the attack hit the heavy door.

There wasn't much to do but watch, and so Aulus watched. Primarily he watched the efforts with the door, but he also watched the green-haired perv and the blue-haired creep, with occasional glances at the purple-haired weirdo in case he intended to make the hat-trick of hassling Claire. How had they got stuck down here with these idiots?... And what were they going to do when they go out? Fight he supposed, he couldn't imagine any other outcome. With this in mind it really was a good idea to watch the three of them, just in case they decided to turn early.

"Fiery Dance." The Galactic's quiet order was lost in the roar of flames. The jewel-eyed moth's wings shivered, glittered, and shed a sea of powder. Where the flecks stuck - the door, the surrounding rock, the floor - they burst into flame.

Tethys turned the tiniest fraction toward Claire, wreathed by the glow of white-hot metal. Fire danced in her eyes and sent long shadows jumping across her face, obscuring most of her expression.

Her mouth moved; there was the faintest curve to her lips.

Water and ice rained down, cloaking her in steam.

Deimos stood by, watching as Nyx directed the group in freezing and heating the metal, face lit in alternating blue and orange. He leaned closer to Tethys, pointing at Nyx in a manner he seemed to think was subtle and speaking quietly, "Tethys.... I need you to find out that woman's name."

Once the group was done with their succession of heating and freezing TRP called Axel back and gestured at Deimos to give the door another try.

Still clutching the modified pokédex, Deimos scurried back over to the steaming door, cape billowing behind him. Biting his lip, he twisted the dex to face the bars again and turned on the laser. Smoke billowed from the bar as he moved the dex across it, slicing a neat line through the weakened metal. He perked up, "It worked!"

He was able to make short work of the rest of the bars. Before long an opening large enough for the group and their pokémon had been made. Beaming, Deimos turned and headed back toward the rock with his tools, passing off the laserdex to Nyx along the way. Apparently it was hers. "I rewired the rest of the pokédexes.. they should be kinda operational. The holographic display won't work but some of the other features still will." He shrugged and gestured at the pile on the floor, where the Rockets could reclaim their 'dexes. He rolled up his tool case and tucked it under his belt.

TRP headed over to dig her dex out of the pile while Axel scooped the injured pilot back up, preparing to head on.

The laser worked this time, Faleen made no expression change to this, She simply unfolded her arms and retrieved the pokeballs for Sharpedo and Charmeleon, returning them both before turning around and walking over to the Rocket Dex that were but back together.

She checked what one belonged to who, walking over to hand TRP's over first. "Here you go Ma'am"

Nyx already had hers back, apparently hers was the one that now had a laser in it... she was going to need to ask the scientist for permission to look it over a bit at tech, hopefully piece together the parts she didn't catch, or understand during the building process... hopefully she could.

Looking over at the other Three, placing her Dex on her own belt she held them out as she stepped over "Here you go."

Claire was watching the fire-types launch attacks at the door, violet eyes flitting over each in what seemed to be anxious boredom. When would they break it? Charizards, Char, Tethys' whatever that was, and --

...why was she looking at her like that?

She had to do a double-take to make sure Tethys was indeed looking at her. Being stared at by the Galactic commander was unnerving enough, but the circumstances just made it even worse. Being trapped in a cave with this scary woman who - she couldn't recognize her, it wasn't possible - who.. was... did she just smile?

Oh s**t. Oh s**t.

She offered the woman a glare before turning with a huff of what she hoped seemed like annoyance - seriously, who actually liked being stared at by a creepy woman? Orion, probably - and reached her (slightly shaky) hand out so Zeus could climb back up to her shoulder. He did so a bit confusedly, wondering why she'd inadvertently dumped him on the floor and now suddenly wanted him back up there. This was getting weird.

Charmant ceased her rhythmic onslaught when Axel stepped away and the strange little man with the cape moved towards the door. She returned to Aila's side, taking a patient post beside the Mismagius who was similarly waiting for a word to act.

Aila frowned with a slight disapproval at the Pokedex as it was returned to her, noting that the Galactic leader had essentially broken them. She didn't necessarily need the holographic display, and she assumed they could be properly reassembled when they returned safely to the base, but it was the principle of the thing. Galactic had broken their things! All the more reason for indignation.

As TRP prepared to move forward, Aila prepared to follow her, motioning for Revenant and Charmant to stay close. They were small, largely unobtrusive pokemon, and Murphy's Law dictated that their path would likely be impeded at least three more times before they finally achieved safety.

Arceus willing.
