The punch split his lip, which was annoying, but it didn't stop him from swinging his branch around again. The only effect of his second attack, however, was to clip the back of the grunt's shoulder as he turned to run. What the?...

Oh dear.

As the grass type lunched Seed Flare, Frost only had time to close his eyes and shield his face. The force of the attack hurled him through the air, and slammed him into one of the Ariados' legs. For some moments he lay motionless, all the breath knocked out of him. It then came to his attention that he was in rather a lot of pain; no doubt those seeds had caused some unpleasant cuts, and he suspected that he'd cracked his ribs on the robot. His neck hurt too actually, probably whiplash. He was not happy. He was covered in mud, and now in blood, and there was oil in his hair... He was also lying under a rather unstable robot. This was not the most sensible place in the world to be.

Steeling himself for further pain and carefully schooling his face against expression, Frost heaved himself to his feet; he might not be able to do anything about the pallor of his face, but he refused to show any more sign of weakness than that. A wave of dizziness swept over him as he managed to get upright, and he was forced to steady himself on the Ariados' leg for a moment. Once the world stopped spinning he straightened his back and started towards the other rockets as quickly as he was able. This, however, was not especially quickly.

(I asked if I could do this! I was told ok. Don't eat me...)

With the other pokemon out of the way Aki dove at the holes that the mech had fallen into. With a carefully controlled surf, the tunnels and ditches filling with water, and promptly, Aki icebeamed the damn thing, the water freezing, holding the araidos in place. At least for now. Aki had been in a rather lucky place, poised behind part of the collapsed machine, the shaymin's little 'light show' didn't phase him much. Ire didn't fair to well. The frozen pokemon now fainted. Ran, though above the chaos, didn't escape completely unharmed from the attack, but having distance and a type advantage, she could still fight.

Maybe it was lucky that Mau had been put to sleep by the spore attack. The shaymin's attack sailed over the grass, and barely ruffled Mau's dirty, soaked uniform. Though the rock that whizzed by his cheek left a hearty knick, and woke the man from the effects of the attack.

"Ibn min charrira..." He murmured as he got to his feet. He saw Ran out, and Ire down. He recalled the Jolteon.

Where the hell was Nuu?

((Note for staff: If it's cool, I'm actually going to get Repo MORE hurt than his roll would dictate. Because it'll work for a later plot for him getting his metagross, and because...well if he gets hurt he obviously won't be driving one of the SUVs later!))

The sight of what could only be his own Jigglypuff flying through the air to collide with the galactic ball stopped Repo in his tracks. How...? What had that puff been up to? Obviously it'd gotten on top of the ariados...he'd almost forgotten about it in the chaos. Thankfully it knocked the ball into one of their own's (admittedly frozen) hands. Jigglypuff flopped to the ground, and got to his feet. He staggered, clearly a little stunned from the hard collision, but not quite to fainting yet.

He was too worried about his pokemon to notice the tiny hedgehog drop down into their midst. "Laidir, use--!" The words were ripped out of his mouth as the shockwave washed over him, sending him flying into the same chunk of ice that had Sorano's hands captive. He felt a particularly jagged chunk dig into his back, and felt at least one thing snap inside, and a muted sort of popping feeling...

The attack faded, and sense returned. He could hear and see the fight still going on, including the shattering of the ice block that had so roughly ended his flight through the air (Where was Laidir? Where? Had he gotten to safety? Or was he out cold somewhere? He had to be alright!) but for some reason the slightest attempt to sit up sent pain shooting through him. He caught his breath in a gasp, which rewarded him with an even worse burst of pure agony. His head swam, and he panted, lying still and trying to catch his breath. It seemed absurdly hard to get enough oxygen...

Arpeggio felt he'd done good when he saw the Galactics fleeing, but he realized a second too late that they were fleeing for a reason. As he was turning to get out of the way, the Seed Flare hit, knocking him unconscious instantly.

Demyx had noticed the Seed Flare coming rather quickly, and he hit the ground as soon as he could, cursing as he noticed Arpeggio's form slumped against the dirt. He was quick to pull out the Vaporeon's pokéball, withdrawing him from the battle. Only to revive him and send him out a moment later. Even if he was at a severe disadvantage against the Shaymin, Demyx wasn't about to let himself be the only Rocket with no pokémon out!

When the Shaymin was released Alexander hit the deck. He hid behind a tree, curled into a ball and kept his face covered. There would be NO allergies for him! Miraculously because of this the Shaymin's attack...didn't hit him at all. Once the attack passed Xander uncurled and peeked out from behind the tree to see if anyone was injured and needed help.

Conrad had almost given chase after the Galactic's but had been distracted by the little grass legendary pokemon. He yelped when he was sent flying from the attack and only landing on his feet against the robot kept him from being knocked out, as it was he was wobbling pretty badly.

Zack had been insulted that the grass pokemon would try and take him out like that. His response to the seed flare was to use ember again. This only partially worked and left the area around him burning because of flaming seeds. But he was still conscious!

"Zuuuuuuuu!" Yelled the startled pink bat as the shay-splosion swept through and carried Lasi away from worrying the sonic disruptors, casting him out among the trees.

"Bat." He uttered as he slid down the trunk of one, upside-down no less.
He would not be battling again very soon.

Palu mostly escaped the blast, getting pushed a little higher into the air, but staying unharmed. She even looked (and was quite aware, thankyou) rather dashing with her scarf blowing in the current. Now, where had her trainer gone?

Tambrey found herself meeting a similar fate to her zubat, though her flight was much shorter.
As the shaymin rolled out, she half turned to look... and found herself facing an explosion.
"Frak."
The grunt was blasted off her feet, twisting in the air before she slammed back into the ground, laying among the fallen pokemon.
Something definitely went snap, and she groaned from the floor. Pain was bad. /Everything/ hurt, but there was something worrying about the warm feeling on her left arm and side.

Saleen had lost the ball, there had been such a mess of confusion that it had been knocked from her hands! Somehow they had to get it back! But so much was happening, she was having trouble navegating through the field of spores, with her vision impaired. As the cloud began to clear up, suddenly the shaymin was released, Saleen was taken by surprise from the attack. Yet somehow, amidst the confusion, the attack managed to miss saleen completely. Through her small size from minimize, Ciara managed to avoid it as well. Though Esther was currently missing, Saleen had to find her as well as help the injured rockets and try and get the ball back! Oh this was turning out to be one big mess!

Lore's eyes widened as the startling attack ripped across the clearing. This was more than enough incentive to join in. He pushed away from his tree and sprinted ahead to his team. "Espresso, Cappuccino, leech seeds, both of you!"

"Whimsa!" Both of the whimsacotts chimed in unison. Without delay they headed into the field of injured Rockets and Pokémon, planting leech seeds among any battered pidgey or rattata who hadn't passed out yet. Little green orbs of light started floating over the field toward the injured. The sad amount of energy from the tiny pokémon wasn't enough to truly heal anyone, but it would at least help stabilize anyone in dire condition.

Deimos ducked as energy from the blast roared around the mecha. This was their chance. They had to escape. He was back on his feet in an instant, pulling out a Poké Ball to recall Andre before any attacks launched at the hedgehog could connect. Once the shaymin was back on board the ariados he released him and placed him back on his shoulder.

Spinning around, he took hold of the controls. Gears and engines in the ariados groaned as it tried to climb out of the pit it'd fallen into. It wasn't moving. The frozen lake Aki had planted around the mecha's feet was doing its job. But Deimos was no quitter. "It'll take more than that.." He muttered under his breath and clicked a button to his left. Large metal drums on the underside of the mecha rumbled before spraying blasts of flame like afterburners. They weren't engines for flight. They were short-burst hover engines specifically, for long range jumps and climbing. The ariados groaned more loudly as the engines pushed the torso upward but the legs held fast, too deep in the ice.

The sound of tearing metal echoed over the clearing and with a loud jolt, the body of the ariados ripped free of the legs, flew across the clearing and landed ungracefully in a tree.

Deimos yelped as he was tossed across the platform like a ragdoll and narrowly managed to grab the rail to keep from falling off. This was a moment before Tethys landed on him. "OW!!"

"Ngh." The pale woman grimaced, opened her eyes, and grimaced again.

Last she remembered, they had been upright in the middle of the clearing in the mech's cockpit.

Now, unless the local geology had undergone some drastic changes by some godly hand, they were several feet higher than before, stuck in a tree. Apparently they had gotten there without bothering to stop and wait for the Ariados' legs - now listing uselessly by a smoking crater like a tasteless modern art installation - to catch up.

Tethys rolled off the source of the muffled screaming and checked her watch.

Three minutes.

"Sir," she said flatly as she disentangled the leader of Galactic from his cape, "What did you do."

Phillip, who like Tethys' breloom had run for cover when Andre appeared, watched all of this in alarm. "Scor..." Abandoning the fight with the Rockets, who seemed to be dealing with their own problems after the Shaymin explosion, he took to the air, paused to grab the breloom, then set off for the treetop remains of the mecha.

Repo's vision was fading in and out as a few green orbs of light fluttered over to him. They sunk into his chest, and his breathing eased...slightly. It was still terribly hard to get a good solid breath, and the pain was still flaming hot each time he even thought about moving. Clearly, he'd broken at least one rib, which had punctured one of his lungs...He'd need well more than a dose of leech seed's power to heal up.

A pink blob oozed into his line of sight...Laidir! The little puff seemed unharmed, if a bit dirty. He crooned, "Puff..." and gently patted Repo's face. With a grunt of effort, Repo reached to his belt (ow, ow, ow, the muscles moving in his shoulder made his chest hurt, ow) and grabbed the right pokeball. A red beam shot out, recalling Jigglypuff. He did not need him getting into even more trouble today. And now that he knew he was safe, the grunt could focus on not passing out. At least they seemed to have won...

A grubby-looking Pikachu and Glaceon emerged from the ground looking not too worse for wear as they looked around for Hayes.

There was a muffled "s**t" from somewhere in the bushes. Nemerle huffed and gravitated toward the sound.

The sudden scream of rending metal caused Frost to whip around; apparently he had moved not a moment too soon... Ow. Spinning around had been a bad idea; giddiness overcame him again along with a wave of indescribable pain, and for a moment the world went distant and fuzzy. When it sharpened up again, he was back on the ground. Hissing between his teeth he forced himself back to his knees and tried to focus on the Ariados or, to be more specific, the part of it that was lodged in a tree.

"Glae glae!"

"Mmh?" Oh. Skiron was beside him. "Skiron," Frost hissed, trying to keep his voice steady, "find my bag, get out an Aspear berry. Defrost Persephone. Go after them." That was about all he felt capable of right now. He wanted to stand up again, but it was hard enough to stay on his knees with his eyes open. The pain was unbearable, but he refused to let his show on his face. Pain was irrelevant. It was only there to tell you that you had been damaged; once you knew that it was inconsequential. Ignore it. Clenching his jaw, Frost forced himself back to his feet. Once upright he swayed unsteadily, but managed not to fall back down. Ignore the pain. Focus on the situation at hand.

He wanted to stay beside his trainer but an order was an order, and so Skiron charged over to the bag with a quick attack, located the right berry, and then raced over to Persephone. Squeezing the berry's juice over the silent keystone, he waited for her to manifest once more before explaining the situation in a series of short barks. This done, he used another quick attack to charge after the Breloom and Gliscor. Once he thought he was close enough, he aimed an Ice Beam at the Gliscor.

Some way back, the Spiritomb was debating with itself which target to go after, and what attack to use... Maybe they would wait, and attack the humans up on the metal thing. Yes. Blood. Screams. That would be niiiice.

After assessing the situation, Saleen had noted that Sorano had the G-Ball now. All that left was…well…everything else! “Esther!” Saleen called out, trying to find the missing umbreon. Saleen noticed the people who were hurt as she quickly ran over to the nearest person, who happened to be Repo “Oh! Are you okay?” ….wrong question. She reached into her bag and pulled out a quickie first aid kit she had brought. It should hopefully help do the job to get people patched up well enough to go home! And surely someone else had one to! Were there any medical staff around? “Where does it hurt?” she asked him. She knew a bit about medical attention, but she was no doctor. Heck, she was no NURSE even. She wasn’t trained to be a medical expert, but she was hoping she could at least help.
