He nodded back at Seph, letting him know that this could be their target. It was probably only a temporary alliance, until others came or Barth left, but
this would make the game more interesting.

"Water guns, actually," Myr said, quickly motioning Barth towards the box. "It's lots of fun, and if you stay up here, you're free game."

In fact, he already was, but Myr wanted to give him a sporting chance before he would be doused in water. He also fired at the Sloth demon, grinning at him impishly.

He missed completely, and he pretended he had meant to do it like that. "Next time you won't be so lucky."

As soon as Sepheran heard that Barth made for cover the Basilisk quickly stepped away from Myr trying to find a good area to shoot at Barth from. With the demon hiding behind the SCUBA equipment Sepheran would have to find a way behind to hit him.

Luckily it seemed Myr was the target of fire this time. Quickly pulling his gun up Sepheran tried to fire while Barth's attention was drawn on Myr. "I'll avenge you Myr!" Sepheran said as he pulled the trigger. "Don't forget about me!" Sepheran called as he hit Barth once more before trying to duck behind a pole for some cover.

Sepheran couldn't do much as water sprayed him. Sepheran shook slightly slightly soaked from earlier hits, but Myr seemed to be the one with the most damage so far.

Hearing Barth he nodded. "I've found they are easier as well," Sepheran replied lifting his gun up and quickly coming out of the pole heading for Barth's area in a do-or-die fashion.

His shot unfortunately shifted hitting the ground beside Barth instead leaving Barth untouched.

"Yours too," Barth said, "err, relatively."

He aimed another shot at Sepheran, who had taken a dive onto the deck. The water didn't reach him, but Barth didn't seem too bothered about it.

"Much easier. Remind me to design a grappling gun with less kickback. ...West seemed to handle it just fine, but... oh, I doubt I'll have much future use for grappling guns anyway."

Sepheran grinned lightly as he set his gun back down having enjoyed their little fight. It was fun and lightened the mood a bit. Sepheran didn't hesitate to dry off and the rest of the day went by happily before Sephy went to bed, a sugar cube sitting in his suitcase.

In the morning Sepheran groaned, he wasn't quite sure Malcolm choose a great song to sing...in fact it was down right depressing. With them being so close to finally arriving at their destination he didn't want to fathom the notion of sailing forever on this creepy sea.

It was then that Malcolm had spotted the raging red squid and brought the Basilisk back on the edge. He remembered the deal with the purple squid. Sepheran didn't hesitate when Malcolm brought them down to the yellow door, though he had been curious as to what was inside.

It seemed that he was able to find out though as the Professor lead them in revealing cannons. Sepheran gave a light whistle then grinned moving forward to man one of the empty cannons. So they would get to play with these? This was something he could handle...at least he thought he would be able to.

Loading the cannon Sepheran stood to the side. Well...let's give it a try. Calamari did sound delicious after all. Lighting the fuse Sepheran quickly pulled his hands over his ears just in time as the cannon jolted with a BANG! hurtling a large steel ball at the squid. Direct hit! Sepheran gave a small whoop of victory.

Sepheran grinned looking through the porthole wondering if his hits were having any affect at all on the squid. He was sadly disappointed when he could still see the beast raging towards the ship still.

Grabbing a new cannonball Sepheran loaded his cannon up once more for his third shot. He wasn't going to let the squid manage to make it to the ship, he didn't want to risk having another student...or even him grabbed by the tentacles.

Covering his ears again he braced for the fire. Unfortunately as he did so he bumped the cannon slightly, though just enough to make him miss the squid as a giant splash echoed instead of a thwak. Drat...he had to reset the thing now.

Sepheran was beginning to feel less and less confident. That silly bump had ruined it all and he wasted two perfectly good shots. He wasn't about to give up though, no he was going to keep trying to take a shot at the crazy red squid heading their way.

Tilting the cannon once more he tried his best through Liannan's help to try and get it just right this time. "Come on..." he mumbled lightly before loading the cannon, stepping back, and praying to Jack he fixed it.

BOOM

Sepheran gave an inward sigh of relief. It seemed he had readjusted it just right this time. Pointing his finger at the squid he called out, "Just you try and get close squid, you're going be dinner!" he stated.

Oh ye gods...was that ANOTHER giant squid? What were they doing, putting out bait for it? Or perhaps it was just after West, though Sharra doubted that tossing the other boil out to the creature would do much to pacify it. Honestly, if West was chucked at him the nergal would have been most out of sorts...well, that depended on what mood the other was in, and what he was wearing...oh right, the cannons. Moving to the one nearest West (but by no means was he going to try and share a cannon with the other boil...and in all honesty, the blond envied anyone who might try), and fiddled with it for a moment, before aiming as best he could manage...and firing the thing off.

Goodness that was a lot of noise...grinning widely, he decided that this might not be so bad after all, provided that the squid in question didn't actually manage to er...win the fight. Sharra would much rather enjoy calamari tonight.
