Upond realizing what was happening and having enough sense to stand up and move away from the tombstone, Astra realized that she had somehow become ghost-like, along with everyone else

Where were currently walking onto the road.

"Hey, wait up!" she said and ran after the group, jump onto the grey matter and tagging along with the rest of the students.

Alessa jumped at the sudden touch on her wrist, momentarily wide eyed and skiddish until she realized who it was. She let out a shaking breath, but seemed relieved. It was funny how that relief seemed to cause her to tremble more. 'O-oh, Ren..." she flushed a bit, though it was hard to tell if it was from the comfort of seeing him, and LW, and yes, even Gabe or something else. She rotated her wrist so that she was clasping his hand and drew nearer to the group of them, and of course the other students. "What's going on? I mean, I saw everyone going after something in the wood and then...well I found myself here but...this place feels wrong. Where are we? Gabe, why are you a...serpent? Don't tell me this is like Christmas Town, I don't think I could take another...adventure like that, oh Jack..." She was chattering again. But she always seemed to talk more when she was frightened, believe it or not.

She cast a worried glance toward the two people some of the other students seemed to be whispering were humans. Shivering, she looked down at her feet, noticing that she wasn't so much standing in the grass, but through it in an odd way...it made her feel sick. "W-we didn't die did we?" She hissed quietly to the others. "Though I suppose we wouldn't remember anything if we had...b-but then why..."

Riley probably noticed it first, as she headed onto her street, chasing after Sammy: the undead's entire torso had started to fade away. In fact the further Sammy walked, the more her body seemed to simply disappear.

Not much unlike the knife Maladore had thrown.

However, everyone else still standing at the cemetery seemed rather normal. Or well, as normal as a situation like this could get.

Riley rolled her eyes, and took Sammy's hand. I won't need to knock you out if this is a bad idea. She murmured, eyeing the vehicles as they zoomed by. They will do it for me.

She turned to look behind her, a little worried that she was about to just walk into her own demise, and her eyes fell on Malodore for a moment.

She remembered Kasumi from the train. She didn't get to know the ghost, but she seemed quiet and out of the way. Something unknown made her make sure to get to know the ghoul better. It could have been the way she tugged on Malodore so frequently. Who could say? It was a mystery.

Turning back to the cars with renewed determination, she caught sight of Sammy and sucked in a quick breath. No. You were right. This IS a bad idea. She pulled the girl back, hoping to keep her from fading entirely.

The she-wolf snorted in response to both Ren and Gabrian about helping hold the serpent. "Yeah. It looks like you are doing such a fantastic job. Just don't lean too far forward or backward." She was feeling much more relaxed being next to the two of them and comforted to know that her fellow were was alright. LW managed a small giggle at the banter back and forth between the two boils. Her ears picked up the sound of a voice she recognized, but it wasn't until Ren had pulled the ghoul to them that she put a face to it. She waved to Alessa as Ren gestured towards her. "Don't know if I can say 'glad' to see you, as I'm not sure this place is 'good'. But at least you are with us now."

Another voice she didn't recognize came from around where Alessa had stumbled from. LW turned in the direction of the new ghoul. This was one she didn't know, but it seemed Gabe did. Well, their group was just getting bigger. That was alright. LW offered up one of her smiles to Alcyone as well.

Nose wrinkling as a new scent hit her, she jumped (again) when a new and unfamiliar voice came from not behind be in front of them. Candlejack! There...there was a...ghoul? No...that didn't seem right. Was...oh Jack was that a human?! The sudden feel of a tail wrapping around her made the she-wolf freeze until she realized it was only Gabe. Her hand reached over to curl around the end of his tail as her eyes locked on to the...creature that was looking at them. Wait. was she looking at them?

"N-now now, Gabrian." The she-wolf pet him a few times. "She probably just didn't see us..." Which was strange. She shivered and was quite thankful for the serpent right now. And that she had Ren, Alessa and other students here.

...Except when they were roaring like that. The dragon made the she-wolf jump again, not having expected him to actually do that. And...what the...she- THAT GIRL DIDN'T EVEN REACT? And now other students were starting to freak out again...why? LW was, to say the least, very confused and had nerves fried to the max.

"Oh Jack...Jack...wh-what is going on?" She actually didn't freak out when she realized that they all seemed to have acquired...ghost like qualities. In fact, that almost seemed like the most normal thing to occur after everything else. This was...oh just where in the Jack w-

"Are they really walking onto that...that wasteland with all the moving boxes?!" LW said in a higher pitched voice than usual. Why? Why couldn't she be a tough and courageous she-wolf right now? This was embarrassing. Or would be later. Maybe.

Aymet, who'd been one of the handful at the tail end of the group, was only slowly coming to an understanding as he watched everyone else running around, yelling, and throwing things. Curious, he followed Astra and headed for the freeway as well.

Jericho stopped as he saw Sammy seem to slowly disappear. The others precautions were right for sure. And it was enough to get him to back away from the street once again. This was going to make retreiving the shiny considerably harder for sure.

"... Mal, where do you suppose your knife went exactly...?"

Glancing up when Riley moved ahead of him, Aksaja noticed the same thing that the Mindflayer had, and his eyes widened. Okay, that couldn't be a good thing. "Come back here!" he called to the others. "Stuff fades away in the middle of that road!" Because now that he realized the metal things were vehicles of a type, he had to assume the grey thing was some kind of roadway.

Reaching out then, he tried to grab onto West's wrist to pull him back.

The sight of everyone else suddenly appearing made him more confused. Just how many people appeared after the flash? Had they all been blinded or were there more than one pendant out in the forest? Ah well... whatever. Right then, it all was hurting his head. What in Jack's name was happening? Where were they and why were they there? It didn't make a lick of sense to him at all. If they were in the human world, as everything certainly looked very... very odd from Halloween, so where else could they be? It wasn't Christmastown at all...

But why were they there? As many talked amongst themselves, a human (? that was a human??) was whining and complaining about something, but obviously didn't seem to notice the vast amount of students in the same area as her. Why was that...? It wasn't until Malodore went towards the bus and tried to dissect it that things seemed to be interesting. Hearing Aksaja mutter something, he noticed how the dragon boil's leg was.. going through a tombstone? Were they... ghosts now?? He hated confusing puzzles and this was one... yet, on the other hands, this was interesting as well. Because.. they were in the human world, right? Who got this chance this young??

Lilith really wished her sloth demon was nearby to lean against, so instead she decided to lean against one of the nearby tombstones only to nearly fall on top of it when her hand almost slipped into it. What? Lilith stared, eyes giving a very strange look. This was not right. What was going on? She looked around at the other students to try and understand.

----------

Lucien didn't notice much change for himself, but he noticed the air seemed different. He sort of stared around dazed, looking about, and floating closer towards the road. What was over here? That looked interesting! He passed by some students, but none of them grabbed his attention like the soul orb of Lilith's had done earlier. Instead his mind was focused on what was over in this direction. Stuff he'd never seen before! A sky that felt different!

Hand in hand she was ready to take another step when she was suddenly jerked back. At first this meant little to her as she fell back into the flayers arms.

At least it meant nothing till her eyes went wide with horror at her quickly fading body. "Oh Jack. Oh frack, Jack me..." her voice caught in her throat her body shivered about and suddenly she was fading back in as Riley pulled her. The once bolstering ghoul was now shivering in horror clinging tight to Riley. "W-what my... I..." she said with a hiccup.

The word “human” reached his ears. His mind raced. This was where? It couldn’t be the human world! There is no way they could have gotten there. They had just been in the forest! This was not at all what he’d expected to find when he went exploring earlier.

It didn’t make any sense. Sure, those things that had been there just a moment ago had looked similar to some citizens of Halloween, but they did not look very much like Draven’s perfect image of a human. Missing essentials, like feathers. Everyone knew humans had feathers. “No way this is the human world,” he said aloud.

Taking a step closer to the other students, and therefore away from this large rectangle behind him, Draven stopped short. Did his hand just pass right through that stone there? Well, that was as impossible as anything, seeing as he wasn’t a ghost. He attempted to touch it again, and his hand passed right through. He looked back at the group of students, and noticed he was not alone in passing through things. It seemed several were testing one theory or another about this ghost-like state they seemed to be in.

In fact, as Draven watched, one student who had gone on ahead started fading. Fading? That...that wasn't good. It seemed others noticed, and someone caught the wayward student.
Draven edged closer to the main group. "I'm gonna hang out with you guys for a while," he said to no one in particular. Sticking with the group seemed the best idea, by far.

Every single student who had set more than ten paces away from the green patch of grass would have noticed at least one fading appendage, if not an entire body, from arms and legs to heads - though it was a miracle how they remained talking.

Thankfully as Riley pulled Sammy back, more of her flickered back to visibility. A few square moving shapes passed right through them throughout this entire process, but they were unharmed.

Christof flinched in horror as his Mistress took off after the rogue zombie, instinct moving his feet as he practically ran after her but stopped short at the edge of the road, not daring to leave the hallowed ground. MISTRESS! MISTRESS WHAT ARE YOU DOING! Graveyards were safe. His Master had always told him that although he didn't understand why it had been so important to repeat. Of COURSE they were safe. It's where souls rested and Parts came from, mostly. But at the sight of the fading ghoul, he believed it even more than ever, even if it was just superstition. His hand dipped down to his rosary at his hip for the first time in ages. He had been worried and frustrated and furious at Christmas town, but this place... this place made him afraid. And not in a pleasant way.

"Everyone!" Aksaja said loudly. "I think . . . this place, it's somewhere the humans bury their dead. And some people are afraid of that kind of place. So there's probably more FEAR around here, than over on the road." It made sense to him anyway. Most of the elves didn't bury their dead like this, but he'd heard of some other races that did - mostly by being where he wasn't supposed to be and listening to conversations about the world outside the dragons' valley, but hey.

"Maybe if we could I dunno. Somehow take part of this place with us . . . "
