Quote: NPC - Hidden Cloud Academy Joona was kneeling on one knee before the Raikage's large wooden desk. The twenty year-old academy instructor was still reeling from the orders which he had just received from his commander in chief. The lord of Lightning country wanted him to personally teach a new academy student who happened to be a freed slave to an underground fighting syndicate that had been operating on the small island between their home country and Water Country. So far it was not certain where the group originated, but it didn't help matters between the two countries. If things continue the way they are, war is sure to break out between the Mist and Cloud... thought Joona, a small bead of sweat making its way down from his temple to his jawbone. Once the Raikage told him where to find this student and he had been dismissed, the academy teacher headed off toward the academy complex. Joona was usually given similar cases because he himself had a similar childhood. Before he lived in Lightning Country the man was an orphan in Frost country, where he was the second-in command of the band which he belonged to. One day a squadron of Cloud ninja who had been passing by from a mission somewhere in Fire Country noticed his special talents, a never-before-seen kekkai genkai, and decided to take him back to Lightning with them. He refused to go without his friends, and as a result Joona ended up giving them all a better life here in the Hidden Cloud. The chuunin ended up showing up to his classroom about five minutes before the door knob turned and in walked the new recruit. Joona could see the determination on the young boy's face and it caused him to smile. He reminds me of myself from back in the day... he thought as he rose from his desk and walked up to the young boy. " Hey, young fella, nice to meet you. The name's Tachikaze Joona, and i will be your mentor for the next few weeks." The academy instructor held out his hand for the boy to shake. " Let's start with introductions. What's your name?"

Ishinon had just opened the door as he was greeted by the sight of man that seemed to be around twenty years old, sitting by the desk in the front of the classroom. Ishinon would shake a little out of excitement, he was finally able to become one of those that had saved him, and it was also one of the few things he had been able to choose for himself. It truely meant everything to Ishinon that he had been given such a amazing chance like this despite his past with the underground fighting and being a slave there. Yet despite all of that Ishinon was truely determined as he was faced with one of his heroes that he looked up to a lot. The respect he showed before this man before him was something Ishinon had never really shown to anyone this directly before. The teacher presented himself as Tachikaze Joona, and wanted to shake hands with Ishinon. Ishinon's hand would reach out and shake Joona's hand. My name's Ishinon. I've been told i'm a member of the Kaguya clan. Ishinon would bow in respect before his teacher after having introduced himself. He would be standing waiting for the next thing he would be told to do, It was something Ishinon still did out of habit from being living as a slave for majority of his life. It came to him naturally at this point to be a bit to strictly waiting to be told what to do next. It maybe wasn't the best way to do it, but it was the way he had been living.

Quote: NPC - Hidden Cloud Academy Joona watched as the eager academy student shook with an excited energy. He hadn't seen many students with that much devotion in a very long time and it made him feel good inside. The boy then walked up to him and shook his hand, introducing himself as Ishinon of the Kaguya Clan. That's a very unique name. thought Joona as he shook the boy's hand firmly. And he also has a firm grip. When Ishinon released his hold on Joona he bowed and remained still. It took a moment for the Chuunin to remember the part of the Raikage's briefing about the boy before him being a slave prior to coming to the village. Placing his left hand on Ishinon's shoulder, Joona smiled. " Ishinon, you're free now. Don't worry about showing so much formality." The academy instructor pulled his hand back and scratched his head with it. " Tell you what. Pick any elementary technique and i'll teach it to you. When you're done with that one you can pick a new one. This can go on as long as you want. How about it, Ishinon?" Joona crossed his arms and looked at the boy, awaiting his reaction and his decision.

Ishinon had been standed waiting for a response for a while, listening to Joona tell him he didn't have to be so formal like that. What does he mean with that? I can be anyway i like? Ishinon started to get a bit confused, then his teacher would say that he could choose something to learn. Hmm maybe i should learn Bunshin no jutsu or Henge no jutsu Ishinon would think for a while. His face would reveal that Ishinon was truely excited about this, as he wanted to become a real ninja fast. Uhm I want to learn Bunshin no Jutsu and then Henge no Jutsu, it's those two techniques I know of. If there are any others you can teach me please tell me. Ishinon would try to not sound disrespectful in any manner as he explained he only knew of those two techniques. He started to move around a little, not wanting to stand still as Ishinon was feeling very energetic as he was gonna learn new things that would help him get stronger. The only thing Ishinon had really learned, was what he had learned was called Taijutsu, something he was advanced in compared to the other forms of combat ninjas used.

Quote: NPC - Hidden Cloud Academy At first Ishinon seemed to become confused at something Joona had said, but then he brightened up again. Man, this guy sure is eager to learn... thought the academy instructor as he listened to the young teen's requests while rubbing his chin. The clone and transformation techniques. Mm, those two should do for now. After all, they should compliment his clan's style well. Joona stopped rubbing his chin and looked at Ishinon with a warm smile on his face. " Alright let's start with the Transformation Jutsu. This one is one of the difficult starter techniques. Reason being is that you have to keep your chakra flow steady as well as keep the image mentally, otherwise the technique will fall apart." Joona walked to the back of the classroom and opened the closet. After a minute or two of moving things out of the way he wheeled out a mirror and pulled it all the way to the front of the room. Next he set it up so that it was facing the young student. " Okay Ishinon, i want you to try and transform into me, then look in the mirror and see if you could pinpoint any mistakes. After that repeat these steps until you have me down perfectly. Only then will we move into the clone jutsu. You might want to use the Ram Seal to make channeling your chakra easier." With that said Joona stood up straight and waited for Ishinon to begin.

It seemed as thought Ishinon would learn the transformation technique first. When Joona explained it there was a smile on his face despite that it was supposed to be a hard technique for a beginner like him. Ishinon would look a little surprised but helped clearing the space for the mirror that was coming out from the closet. His ears would listen eagerly as how he was supposed to do the technique. Keeping a image mentally, i've done things like that before, it is just how i have improved my fighting. Ishinon would take a few steps forward to stand right before the mirror and look straight in to it, then taking a quick look at his teacher again, keeping that image in his head. Ishinon's hand would form the Ram Seal he had been told about before. He started to try and perform the chakra channeling, and then tried to perform the technique with nothing happening at all. Ishinon became confused at first why nothing happened at all. He would try once again right away, nothing happening at all again. Why doesn't it work? Must be this chakra that i'm no good at? But i'll keep trying at it, as I won't stup just like how i learned to fight. Ishinon would keep trying a few times, and not giving up. After trying a few more times, Ishinon would change a bit, but not even close to how Joona looked. It bothered him that he couldn't even get it close to right yet. The problem would still seem to be with Ishinon's unstable chakra control. It kept improving as his transformations would be looking more like Joona, but it all ways kept breaking shortly after him transforming. It confused Ishinon that it started to look so much better now besides the hair, just that it never stayed long enough for it to be called that he learned the technique yet. Why doesn't it work like I want it to? Hmmm he did say it was about to keep a steady chakra and a constant flow. I get it now, I have only tried to keep the chakra steady and not a flow of it.Ishinon finally had understood what was wrong with his previous assumption about how the technique worked, and now he was going to make it close to perfect. At least Perfect for the level he was currently at. He would still have the problem with the technique not looking right in the mirror. At that moment Ishinon would look towards his teacher once more, burning the image in to his mind. The technique would be tried a couple of times until he finally managed to do it close to perfect with all the details of his teacher. Ishinon would take the few steps to stand before his teacher keeping it together showing it before Joona. I think I have managed to finally performed the transformation technique and I think I'm ready to try the other technique if you think I'm ready for the next. Ishinon's words would be all that mattered as after his words were over, he would break his technique.

(water academy) Ryu took his first few tentative steps into his new school, thinking possibly a bit too hard. ‘Well here you are Ryu, finally in the academy, kind of weird being older than the rest while being a first year at the same time… but I’m sure things will work out.. Right? ’ Honestly, he shouldn’t be too worried about this, considering his grandfather’s constant training up until now. He knew that he knew what he was doing as far as a fight was concerned, he knew far more than his fair share of swordplay, and he has been practicing his legwork as of late. Although, it really wasn’t his fighting ability he was concerned about, it was quite simply the whole idea of a new area, with most importantly, new people that made him feel strange. Of course, school wasn’t all about the work. Kids were still kids after all, and they needed friends. The boy looked around, rather shyly, questing for someone to interact with. Spotting a promising group that looked about his age, and he started to walk towards them. He rose up one hand in an attempt to wave, a greeting already working its nervous way up his throat. Unfortunately, before he could even let out a single utterance, or even a twitch of his hand for that matter, he found himself being assaulted by a hailstorm of rocks and other dangerous debris. He stifled a soft cry of surprise, jerking his hand back from… ‘Was that a kunai?!’ He deftly dodged a few more sharp objects before the sheer number and density of the projectiles became rather daunting. He promptly ducked behind a tree. He could hear the children laughing from his hiding spot. He poked his head out from behind his cover, shouting over it at them. “The hell was that for?! I didn’t even say anything yet!”At that, the laughter began to grow stronger, while one rather well built student in the group walked out from the bunch before answering him. “You don’t have to say anything at all! We don’t know you, and that must mean you’re new here! Anyone that takes this long to get into the academy must be way too slow for our group!” The laughter reached its peak while they walked away, heading towards class. Ryu steamed, still ducking behind his cover, waiting until they were out of his eyesight before sanding up and brushing himself off. He muttered to himself indignantly. “Jeez, what a bunch of jerks. That big guy needs to soak his head in an-ow.” He winced, looking down at his ankle. Despite his best efforts, it turned out one of the many projectiles managed to cut into his ankle. Ryu poked at it, surprised by how deep it was. ‘Must’ve been too worried about them throwing more stuff to notice this thing..’ He suddenly noticed how empty the area was, he was late for class already. “Oh come on, this sucks.” After testing his weight on his ankle, he found out that he could walk on it, but it wouldn’t be pretty if he put much more stress than that on it. After a pained sigh, he started his awkward hobble to class. The class itself was only somewhat informative, but mostly boring. Most of the teacher’s speech about chakra was tuned out. His pop went over such things many times, and in far greater depth. It was also a bit of an insulting slap on the face that he was in a class with children quite younger than himself. His thoughts began to wander off between classes, mostly mulling over ideas like: ‘Why on earth don’t they have a skills test for this school? I could be years ahead right now.’ and ‘If I see that smug fathead again, I’m going to tear him a new one.’
Almost fortunately, he didn’t run into the bulky child during classes. He found himself out in the ‘playground’ for ‘recess.’ He was practically gagging. He was sitting out on a bench when he recognized the familiar wall of projectiles hurtling towards him once more. He tried to stand up, but he landed on his dominant left foot, the one with the injured ankle, and found his balance failing quite well. As he tried to angle his fall back behind the bench, his mouth shaped out the words ‘oooh, s**t.’ His fall wasn’t too bad, but some of the projectiles managed to ruin his pants and some of the skin under it. ‘That could of very well of killed me! What the hell are these kids’ problems?’ He quickly pulled his legs into his chest, under the protection of the bench. He could hear their laughter wafting over his cover, taunting him. At this point, Ryu snapped. ‘Alright, if they wanna play rough, we can play rough.’ He waited for the group to lessen up on the missiles and turn around to leave before he stood up and stalked over to them. The nearest kid looked rather frail, so he grabbed the scruff of his shirt and punched him in the back of the head. He didn’t make much sound, so he placed him down gently and went to the next laughing kid. This one looked far more blocky, so he gave up on the stealthy approach. He took a hold on the boys’ neck, sliding his foot to the outside of his feet. He lifted with his hips, and threw him over his shoulder, into another one of the group that seemed to lack in size. The impact seemed to knock out the smaller one, but the one he threw was already starting to get up on his hands and knees. Cries went up in the group as he kicked the downed boy across the face. His kicks being far stronger than his hand techniques, he was confident he would stay down now. His only problem now was the three other boys of approximately the same bulk, all looking at him. The other kids that remained surrounded him, angry expressions directed at him, as the three closed in on him. ‘At least now they won’t dare throw any more stuff at me now that they’re all around me.’ He thought, attempting to make lighter of the situation. He stood up to his full height, which was taller than most of the group, thankfully, and eased out a calm-looking grin. “Well then, are you gonna play this fair, or are all three of you spineless?” He leaned towards one of them, shaking his head in a mocking manner. “I would have expected more from the experienced students of the academy.” It was at that moment that the trio decided to rush him. He thought to himself, ‘Well s**t, that didn’t work.’ As he openly shrugged, saying “Spineless it is, then.” He then promptly lifted a foot slowly forward, before throwing it swiftly backwards at the boy behind him, his heel landing directly between his legs. He grinned. “Now your spine won’t be the only thing to worry about how much you miss it.” He removed his heel, and caught the boy in mid-crumple, spinning in a neat circle to throw the boy’s weight at the second one. “I can be spineless right back, too.” His aim was skewed though, due to his injured ankle, and this time he stumbled and missed his mark. The remaining two kept after him, now wary of more shots below the belt. Ryu tried his best not to appear to be nursing his injured ankle, but it was quite hard, the spin managed to stress the skin and rip open the cut even further. Blood seeped down into his shoe while he fought to walk properly. Almost as if smelling the weakness, the pack leader from earlier worked his way from the crowd. His face almost stuck as a smug smile. “Well, three of our guys, not bad…” he paused before grinning spitefully, “For a first year.” He walked closer, noticing Ryu’s now shaking left leg. “What happened? You were quite full of spunk there for a while, but you look like you’re tiring out pretty fast.” He clicked his tongue. “That can never do. Stamina is just as important too, you know.” He dropped into a ready stance. “Well you’ve had your warm up. Now bring it.”

(water academy) Ryu took in a deep breath, only just now taking in the predicament he placed himself in. ‘Well then… this is quite a doozy now isn’t it?’ He looked around him, and tested his ankle again. He winced. It wouldn’t hold out for too much longer. He figured that he would be crawling after a few seconds of fighting. ‘Okay then… So let’s look at my options.’ He took a quick look at the remaining two bulks, they were both standing behind him rather menacingly. Something told him that the second he tried to high tail it, he would be getting rid of the only reason they weren’t rushing him right now. ‘So then, option one... I can either try to run and get knocked down by those guys and be kicked mercilessly while I’m down and I get a few limbs broken… orrr, option two... I can try and fight this guy and most likely end up on the ground and have him tear ME a new one in the end… huh… this doesn’t look too great for me, does it? Perhaps there are a few more options.’ Unfortunately though, his opponent didn’t seem too keen on giving him much more time to think. He took three practiced strides up to Ryu, his hands in a defensive mid-position, ready to block blows to either his torso or his head. Luckily enough, Ryu was never really trained to go for either of those, right off the bat. The massive kid took one slow jab at him to help measure distance before rushing in for a rally of punches, his breath timed to the beat of his blows. Ryu carefully made sure to put most of his weight on his good side while he blocked. Ryu was never one of the strong sorts, but blocking wasn’t all about stopping the force. As long as he could effectively redirect the force, he could manage them. Against such a large amount of attacks though, it became hard for him to do so with every one, and though no blows hit his face, his arms were killing him after a very short time. ‘s**t, s**t, okay come on Ryu, slow down and think. I need him to slow down for a bigger hit so I could use it as an opening, but the only way he would do that was if I was open… okay, that should solve two problems then.’ Ryu waited for the bulk to make a few more punches before attempting to feign a crumple under his punch. It actually wasn’t all too hard considering he most likely would have done so anyways under a few more seconds of his assault. He leaned on his ankle a bit too hard and ended up falling to his knees in pain. Getting grit into the wound didn’t particularly help too much either, but he steeled himself, waiting for the wind up. He saw a glint in the other boy’s eyes, as if he were a wolf about to leap upon its prey. The hook came with significantly more force and was aimed right at his jaw, but he saw it coming and leaned back, removing his chin from the line of fire. The then took a hold on the boys attacking arm and pulled backwards, using his momentum against him. He lifted up his good leg and thrust it into the boy’s stomach, in turn removing the kid from the ground. The boy sailed over him and into the other two, making a nice and distracting pile of muscle for the rest of the crowd to gawk at. Trying not to waste the little time he managed to snatch, he whipped out three of the kunai he picked up from the first time he was assaulted and hurled them over the heads of the people at the edge of the circle, already sprinting at them. He brandished a few more, shouting, “Oi! Gangway! Sharp things! I would move if I were you!” Enough people that weren’t staring in surprise ducked, so he could vault over them. His landing was far less than graceful considering his ankle, but he managed to turn it into a roll and kept running. He sprinted as best as he could with his small handicap, and stopped only when he was a few blocks from home. He panted heavily, finally looking down to notice his completely bloodstained shoe. He couldn’t even utter a noise of disappointment at the moment, while he was still trying to catch his breath. He could somehow manage a small snicker though. He thought to himself, ‘Wow, good job Ryu, this was quite the interesting first day of school you had, I wonder if you’re gonna be let back in now.’

Quote: NPC - Hidden Cloud Academy Joona placed his hands on his hips as he watched the eager academy student begin trying to muster up the chakra to perform the transformation jutsu. At first it seemed like Ishinon couldn't get the flow of things since there was virtually no change in the first ten tries. After fifteen or so he began to change a little, but it was still not enough to be considered drastic. " You have to focus your chakra better, Ishinon." said the academy instructor to his student when he slowed down on his transformations. The boy was so concentrated on his work that Joona wasn't sure if he was paying attention to his words or not. But at one point Ishinon did turn to look at him again before starting his attempts again. I haven't seen this much dedication to training since that guy showed up here last month... thought the academy instructor, recalling the few times he had visited the eastern shores of the country on missions. One one of his visits he caught wind of a newcomer training with the General of the East, 'Thunder King' Rai Oh. Stricken with curiosity, Joona went over to the training facility and found the newcomer training rigorously. The fact that this boy was missing an arm and was still able to keep up the pace the general amazed him. Kids these days sure are something else... thought the academy instructor while shaking his head. By now Ishinon was only missing a few minor details. For an academy student to get so far in about half an hour with the most difficult technique of their level was pretty impressive. Minutes later Joona was staring at a seemingly perfect copy of himself. When the transformed academy student spoke he still had imperfections in the sound of his voice, but Joona wasn't going to penalize him for that. " You've done outstandingly well, Ishinon. I believe you're ready for the clone technique as well, but we're going to take a break for now. Let's have a bite to eat, my treat. Follow me, and try to copy my movements as exactly as you can!" Without another word Joona dashed past the teen and out through the door at a speed he knew the boy could keep up with. When Ishinon would leave the classroom Joona would start to wall-run for three steps on the wall to his left, land on the ground and repeat the same maneuver on the opposite wall. After three sets he would push the door to the outside open and begin dodging through the jungle of training logs at full speed. Once he got past those, Joona would then have to run up a third of the length of an old tree without using his chakra and kick off to reach the top of the academy wall with his hands. " I hope you're not winded yet, Ishinon. We're only halfway there!" shouted the academy instructor to his pupil, wherever he might be in the makeshift obstacle course he had created.

Ishinon smiled as his teacher said he would be ready to learn the next technique, Ishinon had mentioned before. It seemed Joona now wanted them to take a break, and have something to eat. That sounds like a good idea, It took a bit of energy to do that transformation technique so many times. As Ishinon's words left his mouth Joona seemed to be running off just past him, It didn't seem to be to fast for him thought as it didn't look to be to fast yet. Ishinon would swiftly turn around and run after his teacher, following him out of the classroom, as he would be surprised by the sight of his teacher running along on the wall for a three steps and then on to the ground and the right wall. Ishinon would follow keeping up with these movements of his teacher without any real problems so far but it could get harder, as he had already spent some of his energy on the transformation technique. It would start to get interesting, as soon as Ishinon reached the outside, shortly after the gap between him and Joona would increase. As the speed of Joona had drastically increased, and very suddenly. Ishinon would stop for a bit, watching his teacher. Then he would take off at top speed, chasing his teacher in to this obstacle course of training logs, finding it relatively hard to dodge the training logs when running at his top speed, never having done something close to this before. Yet it felt familiar to a battle, dodging and moving at a high speed, it was a calming feeling doing this. Ishinon, would hear Joona yell that he was about halfway, responding with a yell of his own. You need more than this Joona. Ishinon, would start to feeling a bit of what the teacher was talking about, but he was still going very strong. This is kinda fun, and feels a bit like some of those fights I had. This is kinda fun being with this teacher, it feels like he knows a lot about this. Ishinon would suddenly come to a sudden halt, as he almost ran straight in to a training log, when he was caught in his mind. Ishinon would stand there almost at the old tree, slightly shocked, as he had never been caught in his thoughts like this before, maybe it was because he knew it wasn't about life and death? That made him so confused, he would start moving again, saying to himself that he wouldn't get caught up in something like that again.

Quote: NPC - Hidden Cloud Academy " Be careful of what you for, kid. You might not like what you're gonna get for the next few days." said Joona with a grin, looking down at his slightly perplexed temporary pupil. " I was thinking about going to the Chuunin exams being held up north in the village of Gryu'jiong. It's pretty late now and i've missed most of the tests, but i want to see who will make it to the end of the tournament." He paused for a bit so that Ishinon could process the information. When he felt that enough time had passes, Joona continued. " I want you to come with me so that you can meet the youngsters attending and learn a few fighting skills. Mind you i will be training you on the way there so be ready to sweat your brains out." The academy instructor turned around and faced away from the academy and out to the barefaced, village spread out among the mountains. His home was situated in the northwest corner of the village, and was just a few minutes away from the northern gate. " Ishinon, if you wan to go with me and complete your training, meet me at the north village gates in two hours. Pack, eat, and do anything you need to before we leave because once we do there is no turning back. Don't be late." With one last look at the young teen, Joona went off into the distance to finish getting his traveling things together. Quote: We did 173 lines together. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ At Mist Academy....
A man with white hair, not of the Hatake Clan, but of the Fuuma Clan, came walking into the building that was used as the academy in which those who are aspiring to become shinobi come for their introductory training. The man walked slowly into the largest room. It was the room where students came to demonstrate their abilities, the Exam Hall. "Ah.... So is this where I am supposed to begin my training? Or am I supposed to go somewhere else?" the man asked himself. He looked around, only a single, pearlescent, spring-green eye showed through his snowy-white hair. It scanned the area, trying to see if anybody was around. His search had failed and there was nobody in sight.
With a sigh, the man turned around to hopefully find an authority figure somewhere. As he was leaving, three shuriken came flying through the air right at the man. "You there! Introduce yourself! And are you friend or foe!" shouted a mysterious voice. Nobody was in the room to be seen.
The man dodged the three shuriken by rolling to the side. "The name's Rokushiki Fuuma. And that last part is for you to decide! I'm here to receive training in order to enter the world of the shinobi. Now, you tell me who the hell you are!" shouted Rokushiki.

Sound VillageThe morning air entered the lungs of Kaguya Michio, the only surviving member of his family in the Gohan no Sato, an outlying village in the Rice country. Shortly after they were brutally murdered, Michio had been sent to the ninja academy in Otogakure, where he was sure to be shown the ropes on hunting down his family's murderers. Michio had insisted that he knew enough, but even he knew that a simple coating of steel-plated bone beneath his flesh and a few jabs with a femur-knife wouldn't be enough to take the entire Inuzuka family out. He agreed to attend the academy after an hour of arguing, and caught the first caravan to the village out. This was five years ago...
Korinobu-sensei, the instructor for the final year of students at Otogakure's ninja academy, tapped the circular end of his kunai on the podium to get everyone's attention. “Get ready students, because today we are going to hold finals. We're gonna start with a race to the local ramen shop. First one there gets a bowl of Ramen on me after class.” He said, and as if they were a pack of rabid dogs going after a steak, the students rushed for the door all at once. Michio, however, quickly opened the window and ducked out, saving him the push through the door and the rush down the hallway. He locked it behind him to stop anyone else from following and immediately ran to the forest, which he had traveled through many times before, and took the simplest path through. Unfortunately for his speed, he ran across a pack of timber wolves and as he tried to travel through, one of them lunged and gripped his ankle as he leapt over them. He fell to the floor and the rest of the pack rushed to tear him limb from limb. Michio panicked and wanted to get away... and his sudden rush of adrenaline forced the bones in his ankle to shoot out and drive themselves through the wolf's skull. The rest of the pack stopped and looked to the wolf, who Michio only assumed was the alpha, and then turned to him. Michio scrambled to his feet and felt pain as something began moving beneath the skin of his forearms, and when he looked down, that something was moving towards his knuckles. Three somethings as a matter of fact. The tips of whatever it was pushing through showed, and they were white... as clean bone. Something felt as though it was regrowing itself, and he somehow knew it was his his radius replacing itself. The situation scared him, to be honest, but his attention was shifted from the strange phenomenon that had occurred and to the snarling pack of wolves. The wolves growled and crouched low on their front paws as if ready to strike at the young man who had just killed their alpha so easily. Perhaps if he were a wolf, they might have accepted him as their new pack alpha, but such was not the case, and another wolf stepped forward, proclaiming itself as the alpha and it moved to the front of the pack, growling the loudest and most ferocious of them all.
He growled in return and motioned with his new 'claws' for the wolves to come at him and they took him up on his challenge. As one lunged, he ducked, and the wild animal sailed over him, it's jaws snapping at his hair as it began to somersault in midair as it passed. He quickly brought his right fist up and sunk the claws into the breast of one of the wolves. The wolf cried out in pain and after a few seconds, it went limp on his fist. He tossed the limp wolf into a third one, which rolled over and prepared for another charge. Michio backed himself against a tree and faced the only two wolves left. As one lunged, he entered a rage and swiped multiple times, causing larges gashes to form in the animal's underside as it fell to the ground. He turned to the final wolf and did the same thing as it turned to run from him, taking down the animal before it could even get out of his reach. He lost himself in the lust for blood and when he came out of it, the wolves were butchered, torn into pieces in a fearsome blackout rage driven by something within him telling him to kill, Kill, KILL!
Panting, Michio thought to himself that he ought to get some mental help... eh, later. He ran off to the river, jumped in to rinse the blood off of him, retracted the claws, and ran to the ramen shop. He beat his rival, Hoshitomi Gozu, there by just a couple of minutes, and Korinobu-sensei appeared from behind the counter, startling all of the students and the workers there. “Looks like Michio earned the free bowl of ramen.” He said, walking out to the front, “Everyone back to the academy.”

Sound VillageBack at the academy, Korinobu-sensei had all of the students line up along the wall of the courtyard, and he called Michio to the center of the courtyard. “Michio, this will be the second test. You have been taught for five years how to do simple jutsu. Now, I would like you to use a more complex one, which I know you have been testing out for two years now. Do not use it now, but that is your assignment for the next test.” Michio knew what his teacher was talking about. It was the Stance of Destruction. But why would he need to do that? After Korinobu was done giving everyone their assignments, he announced that they were to have a tournament and only the winners of their one round match would graduate. Michio and Gozu were paired off together as the first contenders. The only rule was to not kill.
Michio and Gozu stared each other down and about a million thoughts raced through their minds, mentally preparing themselves for the battle about to ensue between them. They had fought before, but that was two years ago, when Gozu had gotten upset at Michio for disrespecting his crush for not understanding a technique after three weeks of being explained and tutored on how to do it. Michio had won that fight, but it had cost him the respect of his former teacher, Yoshinori Hotako, who berated him with bringing her dishonor for verbally abusing Katamari Setsuko in her presence. As if he cared for her false sense of maternal instinct for Setsuko. The weak and stupid die in battle. Setsuko wanted to be a ninja and stick her neck out to fight for her village, but if she couldn't understand a simple technique as cloning herself, she would be of no more use than a civilian casualty.
“Ready? START!” Korinobu-sensei shouted, and Michio snapped out of his mental drifting. Both fighters tensed, but it was Michio who initiated the combat. He lunged and kicked out at Gozu, who blocked and countered with a backhand. Michio tensed, bracing for the hit, and when the back of Gozu's fist connected, he cried out in pain, holding his hand as if it had broken. Michio leapt back and took this opportunity to activate the hand seals for the Power gate, and fumbled his fingers on the last seal. Gozu came at him once again, this time with a kunai, and Michio dodged just in time for the tip to swing past the end of his nose. He responded by following his dodge into a backflip, bringing his foot under Gozu's chin and launching him three feet off of the ground and five feet backwards. Gozu cried out and dropped the kunai and landed at Korinobu's feet. Michio leapt off of his hands and landed on his feet. "Come on, Gozu. You can't possibly be that weak. Stop holding back!" Michio called, and crouched low in preparation of an attack.
Gozu got to his feet and made the Rat hand sign and divided himself into seven clones. All at once, they charged, some leaping into the air, some moving to flank him, but all of them switching places with one another in order to force Michio to lose sight of the real Gozu. Michio roared with confidence and excitement and ran towards one of the Gozus and delivered a drop kick to him. As soon as the kick connected, Michio kicked off and spun himself around to deliver a roundhouse kick to another advancing Gozu, sending both of them flying and both of them erupted in a cloud of smoke. He landed on his feet and instinctively swung an uppercut to a third Gozu, grabbing him as soon as he was off of his feet and flinging him into a fourth. Both of them erupted as well.
"Four down, three to go!" he said, suddenly remembering his assignment. Michio breathed deep and placed himself into stance for an attack, breathing slowly and closing his eyes as he moved his hands into place for the Goken stance. He felt at peace and opened his eyes, looking to Korinobu for approval, and Korinobu nodded to him. Knowing he had successfully completed his second test, he started quickly making signs, but once again fumbled with one of the signs. One of the Gozu clones tackled him by the waist and, as if by reflex, Michio's pelvic bones shot out with spines like a porcupine and stabbed it in the neck and the shoulder. It blew up in smoke and created a smokescreen of sorts that allowed Michio a moment to perform the hand seals once again, and he thought he had gotten it right, but the only thing he felt unlock was the cramp that was growing in his right shoulder. "Damn it!" he stated, and his mind raced as he tried to remember the hand seals. He tried it one more time as the smoke was clearing, and after failing a third time, he looked up just in time to see a kunai flying towards his face, already far too close for him to react and dodge. He braced for the hit and felt the point plunge itself into his forehead. It hadn't killed him on account of his dense, steel strong bone in his skull, but he let the reaction for deception take over and he crumpled to the ground, his back to the rest of the crowd. Gozu was both glad it had connected and mortified that he had killed Michio at the same time, and walked over slowly to remove the kunai. Michio made the hand signs for the power gate technique while his hands were hidden from the rest of the students, finally getting them right and feeling as though he had activated the Power Gate jutsu, though it was really just a delayed rush of chakra from his earlier stance, and as Gozu got within striking distance, Michio rose quickly and swung at Gozu, delivering a bone shattering punch into Gozu's kneecap. Gozu cried out in pain as he collapsed to the ground, and Michio rose to his feet, pulled the kunai out of his skull, and jammed it into the ground inches from Gozu's face. “No killing, remember?” Michio said to Gozu, then reinforced the bones in his feet to be double plated and kicked Gozu in the diaphragm as hard as he could, knocking the wind out of his rival and securing his win in the tournament round.
“Kaguya Michio, you are officially graduated from the Otogakure ninja academy. Here is your headband. Now get outta here and go register at the mission center.” Korinobu told him, handing him his sound note headband.

Sound Village Academy
Walking along, Sythril took in the sight of the Academy. The place was rather small and rundown; it could probably only hold ten students within its walls. Wondering around aimlessly, he took his time making his way to his classes. When he finally stopped at the door listening for the sound of another student’s voice...Nothing but silence came from the other side. Upon entering not even the teacher was in the room, and he began to wonder if it was even the right day of the week.
He sighed to himself: “As if orientation wasn’t boring enough. Being the only student I don’t know –why- I had to even go, all they did was repeat what they had on the class registration forms. If I had known that even the class was just going to be me I would have stayed at my old school, at least I had other people’s drama to entertain me.” Taking a seat next to the window he sat down in the rickety chair and laid his head on the dust covered table in front of him trying, and failing to look through the grimy window and drifted off to sleep.
Sythril woke suddenly, with a noticeably large lump on the back of his head, in front of him stood a disgruntled looking Female instructor. “first day and already sleeping in my class, eh?!” she pulled back for another go at Sythril’s head, causing him to jump back suddenly and the chair to break from the sudden change in applied force. “Destruction of school property too, boy you’re really trying hard for that first impression aren’t you?” she laughed sarcastically. “I’ll be your instructor from now until you graduate this dump. My name is Suzume Yumiko, -however- you will call me instructor suzu, got it?” she ended with a fake smile.
Suzuko yawned and continued; “Anyway, considering you’re the only student in this…school, we might as well get to work. First off, type of combat do you intend to specialize in?” she looked at Sythril with a bored expression. “There’s Taijutsu-“she threw a stub of chalk into the air and turned it to dust with a punch. (Yeah right, Sythril thought. My body isn’t made for that kind of beating) “ninjutsu-“ she formed a series of seals, then pointed out the window at the large tree outside the open door, Sythril looked just in time to see a bolt of lightning strike it and split it down the center. The instructor then grinned, very slowly “and then…there’s genjutsu” her eyes flashed mischievously as she formed the seals, suddenly He was surrounded by many spiders, Jumping back he grabbed a nearby chair and broke it in an attempt to clear a place to stand free of spiders. When he blank he noticed the space he hit was empty and rushed for it only to notice that all the spiders were gone.
Sythril let out a sigh of relief, (maybe it was worth coming here after all), “I’ll go with ninjutsu, while genjutsu seems like a good way to go it just seems useless to me by its self.” The instructor noded and pointed to the desk at the front of the room. “There’s a list of techniques on the desk, look it over and start self study what interests you while I go finish your paperwork.” Sythril made his way to the front of the room and grabbed the paper to look it over as the instructor left the room.
