(( LOTS OF TEXT INCOMING~~~ ))

The two bezerkers quickly disappeared beneath a surge of bodies as the students united, attempting to pin and hold the struggling pair still. Hands reached out and grabbed for any limb belonging to the bezekers, however one valiant student would soon discover that holding onto a bezerker was no easy task.

Especially when someone's hands were wrapped around your throat, squeezing tightly.

Those that went after Betty would discover that while the witch was easy to pull away, she wasn't a push over. She was still able to dive into her pockets and throw small, coin-sided cookies around. Even if they missed their targets, it was hard to avoid crushing them.

The witch suddenly shouted a word! The crushed remains of the cookies suddenly puffed up, forming a large cloud over the group. The students coughed and tried to fan the fine mist away, succeeding at a price: four people felt the full-on effects of Betty's Popping Pumpkin Pox: Betty herself, Jack (much to Zwei's displeasure), Puck (who finally got his sugar), and Balumf (whose tail was still aching. All four of them now had Jack-o-Lanterns fitting snugly on their heads and hands.

The three students would be moved to the Injured Cabin. Betty would have the thrill of being strapped down to an economy-friendly uncomfortable seat in the Accusation cabin.

Those that went after Breic had a challenge before them: somehow the manipulative student was able to break through the train's FEAR-dampening effects: parts of him were fading in and out, as if there was a blur between his humanoid and water equine form. The boy kicked and bit, twisting and snapping. Everyone who attempted to subdue him would be adorned with both painful horse-bites and horse shoe-shaped hooves -- but not as much as Faust and Cooper, both unlucky boys who happened to try and tackle and hold him from behind.

It took Breic only an instant to change into his full water horse form -- but it was enough to buck and send both boys flying across the cabin. Both boys landed against the wall with enough force to cause the entire cabin to sway before they slid to the floor, stunned and in no shape to be walking around. Both boys would wake up several minutes later within the Injured Cabin.

Breic, on the other hand hoof, would find himself finally pinned down, tied securely to a seat similar to Betty's in the Accusation cabin, but farther apart.

Two bezerkers down, both tied with the strongest of spider silk in another cabin. But what of the student who was choked earlier? It was only after all the fuss had died down that it was discovered who the victim of foul play was: Faint the weretiger now had a bruise ringing his neck, the tell-tale sign of foul play. He, too, was taken to the Injured Cabin where he would awaken later.

It was a full three minutes later that Ghaun slumped down in a cooling chair, burying his face in his hands. "Six down," he whispered, "Just like that..." The reaper shuddered before looking up, mouth open as if to add on.

Ghaun then shook his head and kept silent. How was he supposed to feel brave and reassure the passengers after that?

"Are we getting close to the Academy yet?!"

Ah, yes, didn't someone ask that? Ghaun slowly stood up and took a deep breath, announcing, "We are still a ways away from the Academy. I suggest you all sit tight and keep an eye on each other, just in case there's another bezerker still about."

-----------------
OOC:
Ouch! And this is why you don't want to be on the other end of a Bezerker's attack -- five people went down to the ferocity of Betty and Breic's attacked, and one seemed to be the victim of circumstance. This train ride's not over yet!

And, FYI: While the losses were heavy this turn, I will say that one of the victims had a special role. :3 Happy accusation! Someone had to choke Faint while everyone was occupied -- who was it?

It seemed there was still a little fight left in the two berserkers, their simultaneous attacks quickly clearing the circle of students which had surrounded them, bodies beginning to drop like flies. Nuk paid little attention to any of it, although he did watch with a wince as one of Breic's hooves slammed into both Fauste and Cooper. Despite his valiant efforts, he was, however, sadly outnumbered, and within a few minutes Breic has been restrained, one of the staff pulling him out of the fray and towards the other cabin. The skinwalker rolled his shoulders a bit, tilting his head a bit to crack his neck before reaching up to brush off his shoulders, now that the brawl was over.

Victory, it seemed, was very short-lived. Fauste and Cooper were not the only ones injured -- it seemed there were a good six that went down between the two berserkers, the staff beginning to escort their out of commission bodies to another cabin. There was actually a look of mild disappointment in Nuk's eyes as he noticed just who had been injured by the witch, shoving his hands into his pockets as he stared at the jack-o-lantern suffocating the nekogami with, ironically, the same first name.

Well this sucked.

Looking back around, he took a mental inventory of the rest of the students he recognized, exhaling slowly with a much less amused look on his face and flopping back down in a seat, his back to the wall, eyes swiveling around to the others.

"Twenty three suspicious students in the train, twenty suspicious students, take twelve down, knock 'em around, eleven suspicious students in the train."

((Perlie is too confused to vote for anyone just yet!))

"That equals way too many suspicious students in my mind." Yep, that had been a good example of pandemonium. After the chaos had settled and the host had made his latest announcement - 'still a ways to go' when the ride already felt like it'd taken years! - Perlie took a long look at her fellow passagers. How were they expected to keep an eye on each other? What good was that going to do them? They'd already been keeping their eyes on each other, and look where that had gotten them; six more injured, two more supposed culprits and a whole lot of confusion.

"And I can't believe this ride isn't over yet. Did anyone even see anything? I mean it was like, poof, total chaos! and then bam, lots of hurt people. And that guy with the choking marks, how was anyone supposed to notice anything like that? I didn't notice anything like that - did any of you guys?" She gestured tiredly to the rest of the room.

(( Kasumi is not voting yet either! ))

The young monster woman sat down again after the water horse, Breic, had been successfully subdued and carried away. When she looked back at the cabin, she finally saw the carnage - six injured individuals and two culprits apprehended. Kasumi sighed, pulling clumps of hair off of her head. She'd used her hair to grab at the horse's leg, but he was much stronger than she had expected, ripping lots of her long black locks out of her skull. She scratched at it, feeling the tingling pain in her scalp. She'd been too preoccupied trying to pin the horse and didn't see everyone leaving the cabin. By Jack, how many did that make? She turned to the other students and counted heads. What, eleven left?

"I can't believe it... and still another?" she gasped quietly. She had hoped this whole ordeal was over when she asked how far it was until they got to the Academy. They were still a ways left and the skin-walker boy was right - everyone was suspicious. Pointing fingers would likely happen soon, and with so few left, the carnage could very well happen again. How many more of these attacks would there be? The monster peeled away another chunk of hair and tossed it in the nearby trashcan.

At Perlie's question, Kasumi shook her head. "I didn't see anything other than horse leg." she explained. "I feel very fortunate that I escaped being kicked but I feel terrible for those who did."

For a couple minutes there, everything had seemed like Pirate Valhalla. Fighting and cursing and all-around rabble-rousing galore! Vic had even gotten her hit in (or she'd hit someone, at least, and was reasonably sure it was who she'd been aiming for). All that had been missing was the booze and some booty (a few remaining crumbles of poison cookie, Vic decided, did not constitute a fair booty.)

But then the fight was over. Students, both accused and injured, were pulled out of the cabin - Vic's mate Balumf among them. And somewhere in the confusion of finding a new student attacked, while Vic stood there in a near-daze and tried to squeeze a few helpful thoughts through some centuries-old ghost neurons (not an easy task, I promise you), the inevitable finally happen. Beltless, her oversized trousers slipped to the ground around her ankles, leaving the pirate cursing and scrambling to pull the waistband up around her ears before anyone could take note of the frilly knee-length undergarments she was wearing beneath them.

It seemed Vic would be distracted a few moments with redoing her belt and recovering her dignity. Just as well, because she was at a loss now. Could there really have been three of the buggers?

Kashiyoru made his way back to his seat. He was more than exhausted, he was exhausted and sad. His prey had suffered the consequences of dealing with a female. Kashi always figured he'd get some sort of sickness from any form of physical contact with a female. His suspicious were somewhat confirmed tonight. At the expense of one very handsome young male.

As Kashi seated himself back down he was instantly aware of the skinwalker before him. With ears flat on his head and eyes locked he tried to determine if switching prey would be worth it for a good 'romp'. But, as he thought it through, his mind wandered to the though of 'play time' with a man of Jacks caliber, only with a jack-o-lantern head. 'Creepy, yet satisfying.' he grinned to himself, before snapping back to his senses. He decided against trying to get laid and switch to finding a way to get to this damn school without a scratch on his 'lovely' body.

At least everything was quiet now, thanks to everyone having spent all their energy subduing two berserkers. Or, at least it was. Kashi had to suppress the urge to flinch when Nuk spoke up. He hadn't realized he was so deep in thought until a voice broke his concentration. That's right, five students had been rushed out of here because of the berserkers, but there was still danger around. How many psychos happened to be on this damned train. More importantly....

"How did I get stuck with all the crazies?" Kashi reached for one of his tails for comfort.

Perlie ignored Kashiyoru's question (honestly, there was just no polite reply to a question like that) in favour of gawping somewhat ungracefully at Vic's undergarments. Her frilly undergarments. And was that.. was that lace on the trim?

"Hopefully it wasn't too serious - they would have told us if it was like, deadly serious, right?" Although she was replying to Kasumi, her eyes kept straying back to Vic. Watching the pirate struggle with her pants was like watching a trainwreck; horrible, but impossible to look away from. "Do you, er, need any help with that?"
PostPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 3:55 pm

((Vic is pulling her pants up and accusing Belladonna!))

It took a few seconds for it to process in the pirate's brain that Perlie was, in fact, talking to her. The reaction was rather predictable, but fascinating all in itself. Who knew, after all, that a dreary, dead ghost's face could burn such a brilliant shade of red?

"Qu, quit peepin'!" Vic snapped. Do you need any help with that-- What sort of louse went around staring at people's unmentionables, and then asked if they wanted help? By bloody George!

If nothing else, however, the realization that she was on display (even more so than before, leastwise) convinced her to waddle her way into an empty grouping of seats to complete the deed of pants-buckling. When the task was done, she'd also managed to get her blush under control - even if she seemed a fair bit more angry with the world than usual.

"I think it was the interloping witch what did it," Vic declared suddenly. "Trying to keep me from teachin' yer mates a lesson, weren't you?" Vic may have been overlooking the fact that, if Belladonna were holding Vic off from Betty, then she probably couldn't have been strangling Feint at the same time... but hey, who knew the mysterious ways in which this bezerker might work! It was at least possible, right?

(( HERP DERP forgot to update the cabin lists before I went to bed last night -- they have been updated now. ))

Ghaun simply watched, far too shaken up by the recent events to be any help at the moment. What was this train ride coming to? So many were injured -- did they even have enough beds in first class to handle them all? Thankfully there was only one first-class passenger that he knew of: the rest were all from the economic class, and with the door locked and barred there was little chance of the now subdued bezerkers escaping. Hopefully.

He rubbed his head. He could feel a migraine coming on, one that even his heels wouldn't save him from.

Meanwhile, far away someone was watching the train as it chugged its way through the haunted landscape. A gloved hand was raised, beckoning to someone unseen. "It's time." The figure spurred into action, vanishing into the darkness.

((Andrugora isn't pointing fingers but is suspicious of Nukpana))

"I didn't notice anything other than the bizarre fight going on", Andrugora spoke up after having an internal giggle at the pirate ghost and then listening to her accuse the other witch. She looked over at Nukpana. He had seemed too into the fight. But then, so had the pirate ghost which, as she thought longer, wouldn't be out of the ordinary. But Nukpana seemed as if he would enjoy mayhem like this. A shiver ran through her as she kept a watchful eye.

((Once again, not accusing anyone yet.))

The events that transpired quickly after the attempt to subdue Betty and Breic were all the more frightening when they occurred in a greater number. The sheer number of people who were taken away added greatly the shaking that was now moving Belladonna's hands. She noticed Kasumi fretting with her hair and made her way to the girl, seeing as they had been together previously. The odd combination of their arms linked, then the fact that they attacked opposite people gave them a sense of camaraderie in Belladonna's mind, so she wanted to stick with such a person.
"Do you need help with your hair?" She inquired, noticing the large mouth in the back of skull. After all this was over she'd want to talk with her a bit more as Kasumi seemed an interesting monster!

Barely a moment had passed when already the accusations were flying again, and once again the SAME PERSON was accusing her! With a decided effort to keep the anger from her voice (for that boiling rage was starting to bubble once more) Belladonna turned to Vic.

"You're ability to perceive things is truly the most interesting I've ever seen." She heaved a sigh, before continuing to defend herself. "I could not possibly strange that boy as I was busy holding Betty still. If you hadn't been so KEEN on attacking, you might have noticed that."
PostPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 9:53 pm

(( Kasumi is accusing Vic! ))

Kasumi appreciated the gesture. While Betty seemed to be playing the act (though hindsight is always 20/20 isn't it?), Belladonna was an ally. The monster just didn't want to think about the possibility of someone she might call friend as being the attacker. Patting the seat next to her, Kasumi invited the witch to sit. "Yes, please. I'm not that good with my hair yet, which is part of the reason why I'm going to the Academy in the first place. I didn't realize I would need to use it, much less that I'd lose so much of it. But it'll grow back eventually." the monster explained, pulling out another clump of hair. Ugh, disgusting.

When the accusations started to fly again, Kasumi did what she normally wouldn't do - get upset with another female. "That's enough! Why are you so intent on her being the one? She was pushing you away so you wouldn't kill Betty, I bet. The rest of us were trying to pin them, not hurt them. When she pushed you away, then you could have attacked that boy!" Kasumi stood, frowning intensely at the pirate. "Besides, she couldn't have attacked Faint. She was trying to pin Betty, just as I was attached to Breic. Neither one of us even had the opportunity to attack someone else, but you did. What were you up to when we were trying to subdue the attackers?"

Kasumi wouldn't stand by and let this happen again. Belladonna was friend, ally and alibi all in one.

((Kentarou is not accusing anyone right now.))

Kentarou was shocked two took out so many people, interesting but not the time for it right now. His head was hurting now that everything had calmed down except for the person strangled. Kentarou just sat down in the nearest empty seat and rubbed his forehead. "Oh my aching lobe" he sighed and rubbed his forehead as he sunk into his seat.

It wasn't long before the accusations started again and this only made his head hurt more. His eyebrow just twitched as he sat there. A small groan escaped from his mouth as he listened to everything.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 10:12 pm

((Nuk is leaning towards Belladonna atm -- he likes Vic's fighting spirit))

Nuk merely raised his eyebrows a little at Perlie's statement, smirking a bit at the ring of truth to the little rhyme. "Scary, isn't it?" He replied, semi-curious to the answer. Was everyone scared? He'd say the answer seemed to be yes -- panicked in fact, if everyone's reaction was any indicator. Or rather, everyone's previous reactions. Things seemed to be calming, despite how so many students had just been hauled off for one reason or another. Then again, maybe it was because of it that everything seemed less chaotic -- less students meant fewer people to keep an eye on, more chances to actually see what happened, and a greater chance of accusing the right person.

At that thought, the skinwalker's eyes shifted again, looking each and every student up and down. His glowing gaze lingered momentarily on a few choice students for various reasons -- a questioning gaze at Andrugora, a narrow-eyed stare at Kashi -- before settling on Vic, a devilish smirk curling his lips as her trousers began to slip off her hips, promptly showing off her bloomers. Of course, Nuk promptly wolf-whistled, snickering to himself as the pirate-lass blushed at the attention. Still, as he settled, he caught the start of her accusation, focus shifting back to the task at hand. Hooking an elbow over the back of the seat, the monster tilted his head at Belladonna, still not losing his smirk.

"Well, the swabby is right -- you did seem rather keen to get Betty away from everyone, bubble-butt."

( Lumidee suspects Kasumi. )

She wasn't feeling very brave anymore. In fact, bravery as a whole was fading fast, seeing Jack and Fauste injured in the same short moment. It was all those cookies' fault! Those cookies, and that Reaper witch...! She couldn't understand why she, too was not sporting a pumpkin for a head...unless they didn't work on see-through ghosts, or something like that. Maybe her hair has shielded her when she shook her head at Betty...

Lumidee sank into a seat as the accused (the convicted, so far as she was concerned!) and the injured were taken away. It didn't really matter. What mattered was that she was still here; one of the few who was. That only two students managed to take so many of them out - so to speak - was really scary. And there was still some crazy left in here with them.

"There's another bad guy here, then." The ghost girl mused aloud, shivering as she looked at the remaining students. "Maybe more than one." The hem of her skirt, thoroughly ruined in the scuffle, hung over the seat as she pulled her knees up to her chin. Lumi looked at it with a hint of despair. "A skeleton exploded: that might have been Breic. And one poisoned, we think? Betty." She said this name with the hint of a scowl. "But cut up and strangled aren't accounted for."

Her eyes glanced over the group once more, settled on Belladonna and the figure tossing her hair away. Those locks were pretty versatile. They could probably choke a student and cling to a certain horse's leg at the same time... Lumi looked down at her knees.
