Rose was now after getting the new girl set up that she told could join and was resting silently. At the foot of her bed a black panther slept soundly growling softly as it sniffed the air.

The panther opened her eyes looking at him growling and got up with Rose who nodded. "Sure, what do you want to talk about? Look, I'm sorry I'm so rough on you but you need to learn some hard love and discipline." She said firmly. "You'll go back to normal once you have paid off what I call your debt to the circus for stealing from us. We work hard for our money."

Rose gasped covering her mouth and nose fast with her clothing moving to get away as the black panther roared in rage charging and tackled Alex outside the tent snarling at him with baring teeth.

Rose screamed struggling and tried to grab it back from him. "Stop it!" she cried. "Do you want to be a fool and be someone who gets nothing except the risk of prison?!" she cried out. The panther roared loudly and ran in trying to pull him off Rose biting for his leg. As she screamed she started fall asleep and did so passing out as did the panther laying on the floor.

When others would come he would be gone. Victoria untied Rose and a fire breather helped the panther up checking it. "Who's blood?" She asked. Victoria shook her head.

"I don't know. We will have to wait till tomorrow and question everyone." She said and the fire breather nodded softly as they got Rose into bed and the panther in bed too at the foot of the bed sighing. "Whoever it was knew what they were doing and is quite good." She said and left with the fire breather to search the circus for anyone treating a blood wound. When seeing a small trail Victoria followed it to find it's source.

Alex returned to his hideout that only Andrew and him knew about. The little kid that they took in recently was crying on Andrew's side. Andrew look up and was surprised to see Alex there. He looked like badly beaten up.

"Who are you." Andrew tried to sit.

Alex punched Andrew's face. "I told you not ever to mess with Luke. Why didn't you listen?" Alex's tears fell. "STUPID a*****e. If I didn't hear from the other street kid telling his friend.. I wouldn't even know.."

"Spike?" Andrew looked bewildered. He knew Alex too well."You are a girl."

"Don't call me Spike anymore.. My name is Alex." Alex caressed Andrew's face that was full of bruise. "I shouldn't have left you alone..."

"You have boobs." Andrew poked it. "Its feel real..."

"Could you pay attention to what I am trying to say?" Alex suddenly groaned in pain. Alex held his bitten wound. "Have you eaten?"

"Yeah... That Sally's dad gave us some breads. Have some.."Andrew pushed a loaf of bread to Alex. Andrew tore out some dirty clothes and began to bandage Alex's wound. "Which mutt did this?"

"An oversize cat. The owner have been overfeeding it." Alex took a bite on the bread. The little kid calm down and hugged Andrew. "Little brat. You must eat more so you can grow faster." Alex tore the bread and gave the portion to the little kid.

"You look pale, Alex... You sure that we are doing the right thing?" Andrew followed Alex from behind. He was limping and the little kid was slowing him down. Alex already changed his to his male clothing.

Alex turned to look at Andrew. He took the child from Andrew and carried the little kid. "I have to go away right now and I want to bring you with me as well. We already bought the train tickets."

"Sally?" Andrew held Alex's shoulder. "Do you really want to leave her?"

"She is better off without me."Alex looked away. "We should rest there before our train come. Its well hidden. Anyway if anything happen, you don't know me. You have that kid and your ticket right?"

"Yes, in here." Andrew pulled them out from his pocket and slipped them back in. "You should drink that potion." Andrew pointed out.

Alex shook his head. "The last time I ate the potion, I blacked out for few hours. I can't risk it."

Andrew held Alex's hand. It was cold as ice. He put his hand on Alex's forehead. "You have a fever."

"I'm fine." Alex pulled Andrew's hand away.

"Could you listen to me once? I'm older than you like 2-3 years." Andrew rolled his eyes.

"You can act like a big brother when we arrive to a new town." Alex then pretended to be asleep so Andrew would leave him alone.
