BIO:

Tanis is not a kind Soq. Her life did not start with kindness, and she does not live it with kindness. She popped out of her basket six feet under the ground, the soil around her wet with blood. She clawed her way out to find a mare sleeping in the brush near the grave. The mare ghosted in and out of her life there after, usually after something horrendous occurred. She nearly drowned one time, and there was the mare. Watching her.

So she never knew love, she doesn't know how to show it or share it. She knows how to eke out a rough life. She discovered early that she has a taste for flesh and a taste for cruelty and violence.
