"Ha...Don't worry..I don't run too fast when on a mission" he smirked and winked, picking up the deer to move it near their camp. He looked back to the vixen who had offered the knight some of the food. As much as he didn't like the idea of the digimon sticking around, he wasn't about to protest...not yet at least
Sensing something slightly out of the ordinary with the vixen, he lifted his tail to give a unexpressed stare. He felt something was not turning out right, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Then it hit him, but to tell her at this point would ruin their moment.
Standing up and summoning the armor to him, he shook his head "Your invitation is appreciated, but not necessary" he spoke gently. He walked over to the cliffs edge, feeling a good free fall would be something to ease him. "We will see you in a month's time" he said as he put a paw to his chest and bowed. Not to long after he dove off of the cliff face, letting the wind rush past him, and catching himself in flight just before colliding with the trees

"Well that's good" She smiled up at him as he walked by, following along slowly but found herself pausing in her step as she dark knight rose to the cliff. "A month?" She echoed, but seemed shocked that he had suddenly jumped off a second later. However she caught sight of him flying away above the treetops; and relaxed visibly.
"A month? Mmm....it must be my trial period before he can claim me." She reasoned, before turning back and heading to where her vegetables remained mostly uncut. "We'll have to make the most of this then, Jerome.....as much as I'd like to believe it'll be okay; knowing my luck something will come up and I'll have to go assist them or something." Koyuki sighed momentarily, feeling odd as she put her paw on her armored hip only to pull it away...it was all still hard to believe!

"A month?" he repeated all but confused. He didn't understand what the knight was getting at, but there wasn't the slightest hint of worry as he jumped from the cliff face.
He dropped the deer nearby and took out his knife, figuring if he cleaned the animal, then it would give Koyuki time to finish the vegetables. Plus he could cook too, so it wasn't something foreign to him.
"Well, I guess we will find out what he means in a month then?" he said as he stuck the knife into the deer's stomach, prepping it by first removing the guts and fun stuff inside. "In the mean time, we have a month to run around." he smiled, still concentrating on his work. "So I suppose your right, best to make the most of it"

"I agree." The vixen smiled and dropped down to continue to cut the vegetables up; not wanting to fall further behind than her love who began to prep the deer for cooking. Deciding it best to remain in the armor for now to get used to it and save her kimono from getting too dirty.
Chopping away she hummed gently, her tail swaying lightly along the ground as she wondered about things; letting her mind wander momentarily. She wondered what her mother was up to, of Yukimura-kun and of Nimur....once back she would have to visit them too. Perhaps Nariko would benefit for meeting her old time friend and what had been Koyuki's first glimpse into the spartan world.
Catching the sunset once again as it began its colorful descent down; the vixen smiled and looked over as she was unable to remain focused on just the cutting. "I hope you realize...no matter what happens; it'll never change how I feel about you, Jerome. No amount of darkness could take this away." She smiled, knowing he would be able to tell from her tone without seeing her lips that she was.

Jerome had removed all of the entrails and shoved them off to one side. Since he had sliced a main vein, most of the blood had drained out, but all the same, he was still almost covered in the red sticky substance. He fished for some of the left over string and he took what he had left of the deer and prepared to hang it by a tree.
Once he had finished that process, he took the knife and with careful precision, he cut away at the fur and flesh, soon leaving behind the meal that needed cooking. At this point he set to start a fire.
"I know now. But that's good though" he said with a beaming smile despite his face and fur being stained red. "We should enjoy this love and share it if we can" he couldn't help but say something incredibly cheesy

Taking a final few moments to slice the rest of the vegetables up; she set them inside the bag for the time being to keep them clean and take a standing position. Watching for a few moments as Jerome tended to the deer; although kind of gross is was interesting to watch him work....as if he'd been doing such for years and years.
Slowly walking over to avoid most of the mess she stood infront of him and smiled warmly; silently thankful the armor of her boots gave her even two measly inches. It wasn't much in comparison still to her mate, but it still counted.
"Don't forget then, okay?" Koyuki spoke with a small tone of seriousness in her voice as she gently pulled his shoulders down to give a small spot of blood on his cheek (despite there being more) a lick to clean it. "...and come now, can't a girl have her time of greed to have you all to herself hmm?" She grinned, her tail flicking.

He looked over to see her trail over to his spot just as he got a good fire raging in the small spit. He watched for a moment as she delicately cleaned his cheek, despite how odd it seemed, and smiled at her comment.
"How would I forget?" he asked knowing his little charm was about to sway her further. "Of course a girl can have her greed." he winked. "I was never going to deny you of that"

"Good." Koyuki chuckled, taking a moment to glance at the small fire beginning to grow with a smile. "Well, lets get cooking now shall we!" She beamed, knowing they would have a big day ahead of them tomorrow at the start of their journey. Moving back to where she had her supplies, she began to gather them as she waited for the fire to reach a fuller blaze.
"Is there anything else we'll need for the night up here? It looks like its going to be nice weather, should we have more firewood for later?" She asked, glancing back over to him.

He smiled and nodded his head, walking over to the deer and cutting small bite sized bits of muscle from the carrion's right thigh. If the had managed to eat it all, he would be surprised.
"I don't think so. I think tomorrow we can pack up camp and set out if we need to" he said as he walked over to take some skewers from the night before, putting all the meat he had cut from the animal on the metal rods, then going over to let them cook near the fire

Feeling satisfied at the blaze she removed the vegetables back from the bag and prepared them on the metal basket she had fastened together. Making sure it had a good position with two of the poles she set them over as the meat also found their way over the fire. Standing and stretching out, Koyuki made her way over to the cliff's edge and stood to look out over the lands as the sun continued to set in the distance.
It was strange, in the armor; never having something with so little bulk, or even so strong on her before. "That sounds like a plan. It would be nice to get out of here early so that I can get my few things ready back at the house before we go." Swaying her tail, she summoned the rest of the helmet to disappear, hoping she would find it in the closet when she got home.

He tended to the meat and turned it as necessary when he saw one side had cooked nicely. "Well early it is....that means don't wear me out tonight" he said with a grin, not noticing Koyuki had gone to the cliffs edge.
"Stop by the house? Cool. Maybe then we can stop by the PD to find a mission. If the AI doesn't have anything for us then we can just travel?" he inquired as he stood up and brushed the dirt from his rear, taking notices of where she was

Lifting a paw to stifle her laughter, she looked back to Jerome and smiled; she always did appreciate that fact he always was himself, even if his comments made her cheeks burn. "I'll try not too...although I find such a fact hard to believe!" Like she could ever wear him out by any means, yet none the less she nodded.
"That sounds great, Jerome. Do you think the AI will have anything for us?" Looking back out to the land before her, the vixen reached up and removed the tie to her bun as her long locks cascaded down her back. Using her paws to shake out the silky locks it felt nice to release the tension keeping it up once and a while. Might as well let it relax a bit before she'd need to tie it back up before sleeping anyways.

"You wore me out last night" he mused as he took one of the skewers from the ground. "Here's some meat that's ready for your touch" he said with a wink, holding it out over the fire to where she could come and get it.
"I'm sure there will be. That thing always has work for us" he nodded, testing to see if the other skewer was done too, finding it to be perfect. "Here's the other..Do you think we will need more?" he asked looking over his shoulder at the deer

Blinking as a blush crossed her cheeks, a small chuckle escaped her lips as she turned fully and headed back to the fire when summoned; making sure to toss up the vegetables so they could cook a little farther. "Hush you..." Koyuki gave him a smile despite her light hearted scolding and took the two skewers of meat from him. They looked divine!
"I think this will be good for now!" Wasting no time she put the herbs she had collected into the bowl which was nestled carefully in the bag, depositing the chunks of meat into the bowl and rolled them around. She added some more bits and pieces into the bowl and let it all heat up till the vegetables were ready moments later. Dropping them in as well, she mixed it all till even she felt a hungry growl in her abdomen. Taking the bowl completely out of the bag she held it out to him with a valiant smile across her lips. "Tadaa!"

"Excellent!" he exclaimed, happy that at last he could eat something worth while. It was an especially good thing that she was coming. Her foods were so divine, it was better than anything he could have made. "You first my love" he said with a smile, knowing she had to be hungry after the day's ordeals.
