Shin held the young woman's hand and rested the other on his sword hilt as they strolled through the countryside and forest paths on their way home. He kept stealing glances at her from the corner of his eye as the sun began to set, casting her figure in a golden hue. He felt his face flush and quickly made himself stare ahead, the feeling of her hand in his making his heart race like he was a boy again... nervous, unsure. He began to feel uneasy about half an hour outside of the town however... something didn't feel right. When they reached the next forest Shin stopped madi cautiously... She should be able to notice it too... The silence that fell around them...
"Keep your eyes open m'lady..."

Madison looked around cautiously not entirelly sure what she was supposed to be watching out for. Her ears however seemed more perked up than usual, questing for a sound.
"...what are we looking for, Shin?" Her voice was practically silent, trying not to interupt his train of thought. Lightly, one of her paws slid on the inside of her scarlet red coat, grasping onto the handle of one of her sais. Now she too was just as prepared as Shin, well almost as prepared.

He didn't say anything, simply let go of her hand and stepped in front of her a little more directly. Extending his senses he looked up with an expression of anger.
"THERE!!"
Shin shouted as he simultaneously released a bolt of white light energy from the hand that been holding Madison's. The energy would singe the stranger if it nicked him, burn and blister around the wounded area if it struck... If it missed all together, a tree limb would be coming down a few feet from them.
Either way, Shin was on the ready and unsheathed his blade without hesitation.

If the two looked up they'de notice a large shadow cross thier path and halt, turning rapidly and facing them from a distance. If they were smart they'de turn tail and run, but then again he'de probably chase them down.
He stood quite still, a dark shadow on the ground behind him would come into view as a trenchcoat, long and large, made to obscure details, he wanted them to see him.
His body generally appeared human, if you based such an appearance on 2 legs 2 arms a head and a torso that is. At said point all human ideals for him are gone. His legs are powerfully muscled, the muscle moving and flowing beneath his skin. Following that his arms and legs are muscled as well, normal as this may seem his body is misshapen, muscles of different, if still strong, size. His right arm for example has a visibly larger structure than his left. His legs are longer than a humans and his torso looks as if it has more ribs. Which it does. His mouth is a razor edged pit, his teeth ground and broken into harsh irregular edges. His hair hangs down into his face in strands of dark long black hair, disheveled and lying on his skull in all directions. His nose is slightly crooked as if broken. But from all of this horror clear blue eyes, Like ice at the moment shone from parted strands of hair. An unnervingly human characteristic about him. His fingers are longer than usual and the glint of metal can be seen at each knuckle. Scars mar his skin, arms, visible legs, even a scar from the bodies hanging, dark and deep-set around his throat.
Grinning with a feral grin he stood quietly, watching them.

Side-step.
Simple as that. He was large but he moved rapidly, something to do with his body not needing the time it takes for an electrical impulse to go from brain to muscle.
Highlighting his odd features he continues to smile not moving an inch from where he stood.

Madison jumped alittle backwards in shock to see this being. She wasn't entirelly sure why he was watching them, but this wasn't the time to sit and ask questions. Quickly she reached into both of her inner pockets and pulled out the set of sais that she kept hidden and stood in her ground.
Her paws were tightly grasped around the handles as she waited to see if this stranger was going to make a move. Her nose twitched slightly, but it was nothing to notice.

"Oi! Mind telling me what you want? And why you're friggin' grinning at us like the cat who ate the canary?"
Shin yelled at the stranger. He wanted to confirm that this man was hostile... but everything in Shin's being screamed that this dude was nothing but bad news. He reeked of blood and carnage... Shin had been away from the guild, accompanying Sierra most of the way home so he'd yet to recieve the reports of slaughter that the Guild Guard had been receiving from GUARDIAN 4th Squad... He'd left Sierra in the company of a few new recruits and had rented a horse to get to V'erin a few days ahead of them... that's when he'd bumped into Madison again... Who was this smiling freak?

he raised his massive right arm, closing his fist and extending one long scarred finger pointing at the female, smiling wickedly.
" they always scream so sweetly"
His gravelly voice booming from his massive chest, oddly clear through his slightly rotted voicebox.
Tensing his other arm he cracked his knuckles simply by making a fist, waiting.

Madison blinked at the gentleman, she didn't quite understand what he meant. But she knew it was probably offensive, but that's when it hit her. The smell, it was a familiar smell. One from the labratory, it was the smell of death and destruction.
It wasn't very pleasant.

Shin glared up at the man and tightened his grib on his swords hilt. He braces his feet, readying his body, his senses heightened in case there were more of them... even though he sensed this one. There was the possibility that he would try and teleport behind too... Shin'd have none of that. As the strangers words pricked his ears as shouted back, the hot and familliar wave of anger roiling up from within.
"Oi, I don't believe we've met before and it's rude not to introduce yourself... You can call me Shin--"
He grined maliciously as he pointed the tip of his blade more directly at him
"-- Now what's your name? I want to know the vulgar b*****d threatening Lady Madison, so that I can spit on his corpse and memory after I've killed him!"

"Can a corpse truly become a corpse yet again?"
He said quietly smiling and raising his chin showing the deep groove torn into his flesh by a noose.
"Does a name really matter if the person being told my name doesn't have breath to utter it once I am done? or a throat for that matter"
He said quietly, threateningly.
"But if you must follow tradition as most idiots would saiko.."
He said, if the man didn't know what he meant by that he was truly beyond hope.

"WATCH YOUR TONGUE!" Now Madison was getting alittle firery over this stranger, he had insulted Shin and that was all she needed to hear. He had called him an idiot, and she was quite aware that he was no idiot. Her eyes narrowed more so as though they were going to shoot out somesort of sharp objest to pierce into his soul. She was not a very happy child at this point in time.
"Now carry on with your bussiness, or there will be trouble." Madison's ears tiwtched slightly as though they were regretting what she said slightly. But she remained standing, firm and strong; also praying that she knrw what she was getting herself into.

He said coldly smiling at her he did one of his tricks.
Releasing some of his energy directly into her senses he created an illusion, a full sensory illusion, it would be real for her until it stopped.
Screaming, The world would fill with screams beyond counting, deep, high, quiet, loud, all forms possible in a scream, begging, pleading, terror stricken feral screams, all screams fear could rip from a persons maw.
All she would see is thousands upon thousands of bloodied faces, men, women, children, all races all creeds. All hovering before her eyes in a backdrop of crimson as the screams reverberated. Her body would feel the cold, as if all the heat were torn from her body in an instant. The coldest reaches of death if you would call it such.
She would catch the slight smell of decay, cloying and sickly sweet it permeates everything and sticks to everything it comes into contact with.
All this would last a mere minute or so, but it was full sensory, it would be as if it were her reality for that moment.
For his part saiko simple stood watching them, it took no manipulations on his part, once the energy was released he simply let it work.

Madison gasped rather loudly and looked around covering her mouth. Her eyes became teary as she stepped backwards from the illusioned heep, her weaponary had been dropped on the ground as she coutinued to move back.
Her heart was racing as she coutinued to look around, she didn't seem to say anymore, but tears were falling down her face. She wanted it to end, she desired it, but she didn't know how to make it stop. For what she was seeing was real.
Finally, she had fallen to her knees. Unable to move or speak, she was practically petrified do to the tricks in her mind. She hardly even knew that Shin was still there, he seemed to have become lost in the illusion of carcasses. Her gloved hands were slightly shaking as she coutinued to stare out at it. But it was real.
