You think you're cooler than me. Hikari shrugged. "Nah, she's just very opinionated, and used to getting her own way." she commented with a grin. She nodded her agreement at John-Luka's statement of the poka-dot shirt and followed the others out the door.
"The pleasure is all mine by the way." she said to Matt with a smile, remembering her manners.

Hey little girl, sun on your shoulders
And the light in your eyes
I got a feelin' you ain't been readin' the news... The brown eyes blinked at the sudden interjection from the stranger, but made no other signs of being startled at all by the sudden presence. It was unlike the girl to not notice other people, and yet the shop appeared to be suddenly filled with new and unusual people. It was surprising, but Yuki knew that the only explanation for her sudden ignorance could be that she was enjoying herself to the point that she had actually forgotten to be aware. A ghost of a smile flew to her lips; she was having fun with a 'friend'; those were rare, for her. She was so weird that most people normally flinched away from her stoic glance. Turning her smile towards Alex she pointed at the one that had been earlier recommended.
"That one?" she asked, more than stated, her eyes searching for the approval of her roommate. It was, after all, his idea. It flashed to her mind quickly that this meant she'd probably wind up in the water, but that was okay, right? Surely the instinct to survive would allow her to swim, or something like that.

for what you are not." Alex chuckled at the random girl's comment, but didn't bother thanking her for it as she'd already moved on about her business. He held out the bandeau for her to take and put the flowery one back, "Alright, here are the bottoms..." He handed them to her as well and frowned, "Anything else you think you'll need? Nose plugs? A snorkel? Goggles?" Suddenly he caught a glimpse of her smile and got a goofy look on his face...and his suggestions became getting more and more ridiculous, "An innertube? A canoe? A giant bubble?" Seeing her normally dry expression brighten for even an instant had relieved a bit of worry on his part.
Next, roller skating, he thought to himself with a nod. As a sort of an apology for his teasing, he held up his hands in defense and chuckled, "Whatever makes this easier."

I got a feelin' you ain't been readin' the news... Yuki blinked when he put away the floral; ah, he must have thought backwards to how she was thinking. Oh well, it wasn't like she really cared either way. She could have gone in her clothing and really not cared. So this really didn't make much of a difference. She listened to his words, seriously considering the suggestions and not understanding that it was a joke. After a pause, because she was still trying to think about which would really be necessary, she looked up to him with wide, trusting eyes.
"What do you think I'll need, Alex?" she asked, her voice entirely serious, "Probably something that will stop me from sinking; the tube?" she asked, looking to him for confirmation. The smile was gone from her lips as her face returned to it's usual place, but her eyes held flashes of nervousness as images of her earlier hypothesis dropped into her mind and flickered out. Impossible. He already assured me otherwise. she thought, trying to shove her worries from her mind.

(( Sorry I haven't been on lately. My family is moving into a new house, I'm starting a new job, and my boyfriend is going to college. It's kind of overwhelming trying to handle all of it. : It'll be a while before I have the energy to post again... ))

for what you are not." Alex peered at her inquisitively, but the expression was made humorous by a bright smile and a raised eyebrow, "You're funny. We can borrow a life jacket there if you'd like, but I think they only give them to the physically impaired..." He reached over and playfully grabbed her wrist, poking at her bicep, "And you're nothing but muscle! Plus you have me, and I've got a summer job as a lifeguard at my old camp. I've saved people who were..." He patted his stomach with a knowing look, "Much bigger than you are."
Stepping towards the checkout, he pulled a twenty out of his pocket, whistling a little. He slapped his hands on the conveyer belt and let the bill pass slowly over to the cashier, a saggy-faced middle aged woman with an emotionless face and an undersized work shirt that revealed a rather large belly, "A lovely suit for a lovely girl, don't you think?" he asked loudly, winking at Yuki, but addressing the woman behind the register. "Please don't touch the conveyor belt," she responded bluntly. "That's what I thought," Alex said cheerfully, her dull expression failing to damper his mood in any way.

I got a feelin' you ain't been readin' the news... The silver haired female followed behind Alex, trying to simply believe and accept his reasoning. Humans were mostly water, after all, and water balloons floated- right? She'd be fine~ She had no idea what to believe when he said 'saved people', but she hoped that she wouldn't need saving. If you needed saving, you needed to be dying first. That was not a pleasant thought.
She followed silently behind him, keeping her eyes distractedly forwards as Alex led the way to the cash register. Yuki didn't understand exactly what he meant by 'that's what I thought', but even she saw the compliment and flushed- hiding her face behind a mask of hair.
Lovely isn't the word I'd use for me. she thought to herself, shaking her head to clear it so that her face could quickly return to it's stoic state.

Avery walked into the shop, feeling every piece of silk. Her eyes were a glow with want, but she knew she had to immerse herself in her studies and then get a job, to afford some of these clothes. She still decided to try on an absolutely beautiful midnight blue robe. When she came out she smiled, it looked amazing. She knew not to get her hopes up, because someone might have bought it by the time she got there, but she couldn't help it. She pranced outside and looked around the buildings, deciding in her head she would immerse herself in work AND school.

Hey_there_hun Hi you mind if I talk to you? I haven't had anyone to role play with yet  Ashlein walked into the clothing store, her eyes aglow with happiness. "All these beautiful fabrics! I love this dress!" She exclaimed, picking up a cute sweet lolita dress with a cupcake print and kimono sleeves. She walked down each aisle admiring the clothes and the different fabrics available for sewing. She picked a few lolita dresses and kimonos and began to try them on. She disappeared behind the dressing room door only to appear again in the beautiful kimono sleeved lolita dress. She twirled in front of the mirror, admiring how well the dress fit her body. "I love it!" She exclaimed.

Oh no, I couldn't possibly, it's very nice of you, but I can't just take your money. I will help you choose what to buy. For instance, this dress isn't as flattering as the first one.
