You think you have the answer...

Signing up took less time than Robyn thought. Plus, talking with Chris made the time go by even faster. She had returned Teru when the ghost started to make trouble in the line. Stardust stayed out of hers. It startled the female trainer when Chris grabbed her hand. A faint blush colored her cheeks as she nodded, a smile on her face.

As the two made their way to the beach, Stardust followed a good distance behind. She didn't want to intrude on their alone time but she wanted to be near her trainer just in case. Robyn had a habit of getting into trouble when they least expect it.

...I laugh and watch you fall.

Chris
Wow, she let me hold her hand. Maybe she feels the same way I do! The pair walked along the beach toward an area shaded with a cluster of palm trees. Chris looked over at Robyn as they walked. The ocean breeze blowing through her black and red hair. When she turned to look at him he quickly turned his head to look at the ocean. "You know, this place is paradise compared to Orre. I love my home, but it's so dull."

As the two neared their destination, there was a powerful burst of wind that nearly toppled them over. Chris stared ahead as he realized the gust had come from a pair of Pokemon, no doubt racing. They had flown by so fast that he failed to recognize what they were.

Unknown to Chris, the two Pokemon had flown by a dune a ways back on the beach. The burst of wind from their takeoff destroying the sand dune. This dune had been a nesting area for a number of Crawdaunt. Without warning, a large number of Crawdaunt, and a few Corphish begin to scurry about in anger, looking for a target. The first target they noticed was Arcanas.

As Chris and Robyn sat under the trees watching the waves, they talked awhile. After some time, Chris's thoughts began to slow his conversation. I didn't come here for this, I came here to battle. Yet...I don't even care that much anymore. We just met early this morning, it's been several hours, but still. Should I really do this... Ignoring his cautious thoughts (if only for a few seconds), Chris leans in and kisses Robyn for a moment. Shaking, he slowly pulls back, waiting to see how she responds.


Ryuken
The Lucario pressed against the rock wall, he looked on as two men dressed in black came from the cave entrance. They talked as they walked along, one of them mentioning something about "returning to the base." Immediately, this caught Ryuken's attention. Hmm, I don't like sneaking around. But maybe I should follow them. They seem kind of suspicious.
Ryuken lowered his aura flow, dropping him to the ground. He followed along behind them, tracing their auras. All the while, staying out of earshot.

Location: Ortus Isle: Beach

Arcanas turned and saw a massive convergence of Corphish and Crawdaunt heading towards his direction. Ugh...damn it. I guess a couple of earthquakes should settle the problem Arcanas took a few steps back and let out a sharp whistle, calling his pokemon back

Sharptooth was the first to hear the whistle, and screeched the call to Zelgius. Both of them banked hard to the left and right, turning around without losing momentum and dashed back to where Arcanas was standing. They saw the small army of lobster pokemon heading towards Arcanas, and as they reached him, Zelgius flew in a circle, digging the tip of his wing into the sand, kicking the particles up in the air, while Sharptooth flew straight into the middle and straight up, creating a sandstorm, causing confusion among the pokemon.

Arcanas shielded his face from the sand, and took a few steps back. After stepping out of range of the sand, he put his hand down. "Both of you! Earthquake now!" Zelgius turned up to the sky and came out of his flight stance, falling straight down into the middle of the swarm, shaking them up, and drawing their attention towards him. He did his best, fending off the Vice Grips and Crabhammers using Dragon Claw.

Sharptooth, flew as high as he could before turning back towards the ground and slamming down at full speed, causing another massive Earthquake, knocking out a few more pokemon.

Arcanas saw something odd about Zelgius though there was a fire in his eyes that he'd never seen before, and with each blow, Zelgius was becoming more and more out of control. Suddenly it clicked. Outrage...

"Sharptooth! Get out of there now!" Hearing his trainer's order, the Aerodactyl backed off, and saw that his younger pokemon partner had started to go beserk. Zelgius was enraged, tossing Corphish and Crawdaunt left and right, even now using his tail as a weapon. Arcanas was awestruck. He had heard stories of Outrage before, but those were few and far between. There were more stories of Gyarados going out of control with Dragon Rage, but seeing Outrage first hand, was...terrifying. Such raw and uncontrolled power.

Zelgius roared and turned. There was a large Crawdaunt sitting and waiting. He was tired, there were dozens of pokemon, he wasn't used to this sheer volume of battle. Hearing Arcanas call Sharptooth away put ease in the Garchomp's mind. He wasn't sure if Sharptooth would have ended up hurt. This new power wasn't easy for him to control, and when it first took over, he lost himself in it's power. Slowly, with each burst, he began to see clearly again. Seeing the massive Crawdaunt, Zelgius knew he had enough strength for one last attack. After this, it was up to Sharptooth.

Arcanas saw that Zelgius had finally come under control of his new power, and noticed that there was one pokemon left. A giant Crawdaunt. This must be the patriarch...Zelgius is tired...he probably only has enough strength for one more attack...that lobster isn't going to just stand around either
"Zelgius! Swords Dance, and as he runs towards you, hit him with a Dragon Claw!" Zelgius looked back and nodded, crossing his arms in front of him, and focusing his strength into one last attack.

Seeing the Garchomp cross his arms, the Crawdaunt took this as it's time to attack. He readied his massive pincer for his signature Guillotine attack, and rushed towards the dragon. Zelgius finished focusing his attack and rushed headlong meeting the Crawdaunt's Guillotine with his own Dragon Claw. The pokemon collided, both of Zelgius' claws grasped by the Crawdaunt's pincers. They both pressed forward, neither of them giving any leeway to the other.

Zelgius was tiring, his strength failing, the Crawdaunt slowly inching his way forward. Arcanas was at a loss. This pokemon was strong, but he knew that Zelgius was stronger. And he had a crazy idea. "Zelgius! Hold him in place and use an Earthquake!"

The Garchomp roared, bracing himself, and slammed his tail into the ground, causing the Crawdaunt to fall off balance, and loosen his grip on one of Zelgius' claws. "Now! Dragon Claw! Finish it!" Zelgius swiped with his clawed arm, striking the Crawdaunt in the face, knocking it a few feet back. The pokemon struggled to stand, but had no strength left. It collapsed into the sand, exhausted. Zelgius was also spent, and collapsed as well.

Arcanas saw a chance, and produced a pokeball from his pocket. Pressing the button on the center, the ball expanded and filled his hand. Taking a deep breath, he threw the pokeball at the now fainted Crawdaunt, and rushed over to his own exhausted dragon. "You did good buddy. Don't worry, we'll get you to a pokemon center straight away, but for now, this will have to do." He took out a bottle of Super Potion and sprayed it on the pokemon's wounds. Arcanas patted his pokemon's head and looked at the shaking pokeball a few feet away. It was shaking and shaking. If it broke out, he wouldn't try again, he'd just use a potion on it, and hope the pokemon understands that he didn't mean any harm by it.

After what seemed like an eternity, the ball finally stopped shaking, and the red light on the ball made a chime, and turned off. "I...caught it? I don't think I'm ready to use another pokemon yet. I'll send him back to Blackthorn to train with Claire and Lance." Arcanas walked over and picked up the pokeball. He attached a potion to the pokeball's insertion port, and sprayed the potion on the Crawdaunt. "That should be enough to make it to a pokemon center, but I won't be bringing you with me just yet. Zelgius, can you walk? Or would you rather have me carry you in your ball?" The Garchomp whined, and Arcanas pointed the pokeball at his pokemon and withdrew him into the pokeball.

Chris
Chris was terrified, Robyn had frozen in shock at what he had done. Oh no.......what's she thinking now. Did I screw up? Was that too soon? Noooooo, you idiot, you screwed this up! Suddenly, his attention was distracted by the sounds of a fierce battle.

He turned to look on at the battle that raged a ways up the beach. It appeared to be Arcanas and his Pokemon fighting off a swarm of Crawdaunt. Zelgius was flailing about in a rampage, such unbridled power was terrifying. Yet somehow, it was a magnificent sight.

When the fighting had finally ended, Chris returned his gaze to Robyn. Fear crept over him, she hadn't said a word since he had kissed her. He desperately wanted her to be the first to speak.

Ryuken
Ryuken followed along behind the two men. As he crept along at a slow walk he looked around the forest. It was full of auras, Pokemon were everywhere, but most remained hidden. As he walked he pushed his way through a small bit of underbrush. In a brief second there was a slight flash of green before a blade, swung at high speed, headed straight for his neck.

At a blinding speed, Ryuken raised his arm to block the blade with one of the spikes on his forepaws. His eyes glowing blue with a battle lust, he stared into the eyes of his assailant. It was a Scyther, angry, and obviously very skilled. No doubt the leader of it's swarm.

The wild Pokemon dashes back a few feet, staring down it's intended target. It's own battle lust growing. It began to scream a battle cry "Sssscytherrrr!!!" as it swung it's bladed arms about in a sword dance. Ryuken stared on as it danced, the aura in his body rising. The aura reaching levels so powerful, that it could be seen as a blue flame like energy surrounding him. "Come get some" he growled in a menacing voice. The bug Pokemon dashes forward at an unforeseeable speed. Ryuken's aura reading would be the only way he could keep up with it.

The Scyther moved so quickly that it was leaving behind afterimages of light. Appearing as though there were two or three Scyther. Ryuken smirked as it circled him, Double Team, I can play that game too. The Scyther suddenly came in from behind with a fierce X-scissor attack. In an instant before the attack Ryuken vanished from his original standing place. The Scyther was confused only for a moment, as he quickly learned where the Lucario had gone. With a deep combat yell Ryuken delivered a hard kick to the back of the Scyther's head. Sending it sliding face first across the ground.

The wild Pokemon was enraged, there was no way this human trained Pokemon could be faster than it. It began to flap it's wings as it rose to hover over the ground. It screamed out a second battle cry before it began to fly about attempting to get a sneak attack on it's powerful opponent. Ryuken yelled out as well, as if preparing for the battle.

If anyone had been nearby to watch the battle, they would not have seen very much. The two Pokemon had both become a green and blue blur. With the Scyther making ocassional appearances whenever Ryuken delivered a powerful blow to it. After a moment or two of this Ryuken stopped in the middle of a forest clearing, awaiting his target for another Counter.

Without a warning Ryuken let out a yell as he swung his fisted fore-paw in an upward arc. The unsuspecting Scyther flew straight into his fist, launching it upward. With another yell, Ryuken charged and fired a powerful Aura Sphere. The ball of aura energy exploding on contact with the Scyther, sending the now unconscious Pokemon to to land on the ground several yards away.

The Lucario looked around, he spotted a nearby Oran plant. Grabbing a cluster of berrys, he tossed them to the unconscious Pokemon. He'll need those when he wakes up. Ryuken focuses his aura in an attempt to locate the two men he was following. He had lost them, so he decided to head back and find Chris.

Johnny Slayer

Location:Ortus island picnic area

"Oh i like your thinking" said johnny with a sinister look on his face "But not good enough larvitar us sandstorm now!" "Larvi Larvi Larvitar!" A flurry of sand surrounds them larvitar on the ground giving staraptor a look that could kill. "Your move honey i wanna see your offensive now."

Location: Ortus Isle: Beach

Arcanas scooped up his pokeballs and started to head to the main festival area. He recalled seeing a pokemon center near the tournament building. He made his way there, never running, just walking at a brisk pace. That was unexpected... The wild pokemon here are a lot tougher than the ones back home.

He pushed his way through the masses, Sharptooth following from the sky. He came across the pokemon center finally, and made his way inside and up to the front desk, ringing the receptionist's bell.

"Hello, are you needing your pokemon to be healed today?" Arcanas placed his pokeballs on the counter. "Just these two, Nurse." "Alright, we'll be just a moment. Feel free to have a seat, we'll call you when your pokemon are healthy again."

Arcanas found a nice comfy couch and had a seat, but as soon as soon as he sat down, they called him back up to the counter. He sighed, stood back up and went back to the counter to retrieve his pokemon. He thanks the Nurse, and put the pokeball with Garchomp back on his belt, and found an unused computer.

This Crawdaunt wasn't ready for what was going to be happening here... Not yet, and not with how much Arcanas demanded from his pokemon in battle. Claire will take good care of him He set the pokeball on the PC's transporter system, and wrote up a quick message to Claire before sending the Crawdaunt back home to Blackthorn. The pokeball vanished in a flash of light, and a confirmation was received. Knowing that his new partner was safe, he went back outside, releasing Zelgius again, and posting up against a wall, lighting another cigarette.

He's apologizing? That kiss was nice-well better than nice. I didn't mind. Slowly, she dragged in a deep breath-trying to get her emotions under control. She cast her eyes around-thinking-before looking at Chris. "You don't have to say sorry. I liked it-the kiss. And I like you." She could feel her face burning from her blush.

...I laugh and watch you fall.
