I think I need to be reminded on a fairly regular basis that I should come here. <.<...I keep forgetting that this rp is in my guilds and therefore will not show up on my threads. Sorry for disappearing again for a while, I had just finished finals and then I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled so I've been a bit out of it. But I am looking forward to doing this again, and hopefully I don't paint myself into a corner.

.:: Like a butterfly through a paper shredder...
I really don't like the idea of putting "relationships" on the profile skeleton. I mean, that's the point of roleplaying, right? To define and build relationships.
And the fact that my character has only been on the ship for a week...
And I've always disliked having personality on a profile skeleton - it should be something shown, not something needed prior to interact with the character - but I'll be fine with that. xP

Just write down your initial first impressions then. razz It's more a point of reference for you and the person controlling the opposite character than anything else. 3nodding
The majority of my character's personality, back-story and opinions of others aren't found in her profile, but the reference helps people come up with how their character interacts with others. Ideally you should be talking to the other players to discuss how your characters have interacted in the past. 3nodding
Although with your case Mr. E, I think first impressions is the best way to go rather than discussing with players since you've literally just arrived. smile
I have played RPs where you just have a pic and a name for the character but that tends to only work if you can really trust the players. gonk I usually do something like that for a 1x1 though.

Oh... So there's the relationship to do now. So, aside from the navigator, we have to assume the characters have known eachother for some time then right? I guess I'll have to PM everyone and talk about how Gash and [insert name] have interacted before... Could take some time.

I see. Other than my character, I can see how this helps. My apologies.
I'll just put first impressions, then.
And I'll be PMing you shortly about other matters regarding my character.

Metal-Ridley Oh... So there's the relationship to do now. So, aside from the navigator, we have to assume the characters have known eachother for some time then right? I guess I'll have to PM everyone and talk about how Gash and [insert name] have interacted before... Could take some time. That's fine. I don't expect these to be done before the end of this week seeing as it's Christmas this weekend. The idea is to get players talking to each other and integrating their characters together. With all the relationships defined (Even vaguley) to begin with, it should have the players and their characters feeling more like a crew. Not to mention it can lead to some great little sub-plots and quirks of character when people are bouncing ideas of each other. 3nodding

It's also going to help avoid the awkward "we've been on the crew for a while, but I still don't know you" thing. XP
I have a few things to do today, including RP posts, but once I'm done with that I'll start PMing people. Oh, huh... What's going on with our Pilot? ^_^;;

Got in contact with Mort Faux. She's around still and wants to be the pilot again. She plans to use a different character, though. 3nodding

Really? Neat! So we do have a full crew again, that's good. Since there are now two unknown characters (unless their profiles have been updated... might have to check it out), do we have more alien characters aboard the ship or is Red Eye still the only one?
Edit: I know Stripe was an alien... DNA manipulated race thingy, but since Mort is changing character, I don't know what she's going to make. XP

I forgot to post the new First Mate. I thought cleverly to hold it back until relationships are done but then it's hard to write one when you don't know the character. *smack* I'll post it now.
Mort is probably going to be another alien but no guarantees. razz

I'll work on updating the profile I had sent you then to . will at least PM you the two add on its to then.
As for anyone wanting to PM about how to key in our "relationships" are, I'm totally game with this idea! It lets US set the groundwork for how are characters can somewhat interact at first, then change as events unfold.

Ugh...relationships...hmmm...Well Metal I can tell you already that Robbie probably looks at Gash like a close buddy. He probably enjoys annoying him by doing little things like stealing his candy bars, or misplacing random things, or sneaking up on him and trying to scare him.

I thought Gash and Robbie would probably get along great. Even if Rob makes it a hobbie to annoy him, Gash probably see him as a good friend, too, as well and someone he can count on for pretty much anything. Aside from the chocolate stealing, Gash probably doesn't mind much the other jokes Robbie pulls off either. I can see Gash just sighing and going "Well, he's at it again." while shaking his head with a little amused smile. You know, like when someone does something you can't help but to sigh at, but you still think it's kind of funny?
