90 % of college students change their majors atleast once , i know mine has changed twice. What i suggest is picking a school that has a wide range of degree options, then take basic classes until you can make up your mind, almost ALL students have basic courses they need to take. also, talk to a student adviser when you enroll, there might be options your not thinking of yet....

Chieftain Twilight ScarletFrost Cronos the Timekeeper Chieftain Twilight i'm not arguing against other animals using tools, in fact i feel that that only backs up my belief. I was backing you up a bit there, I agree we are natural... then again so are viruses. Only unnatural things I know of would be the undead some claim to create. ScarletFrost The "Animals Using Tools" argument can only go so far. While the furry creatures might be able to master simple machines like leavers and wedges, and figure out things like gravity, they can't get beyond that. I have yet to see an animal build an wheel. Or weave a basket. Or make a sail. Evolutionary-ily speaking, our simple tools capacity should have been capped during the Industrial Revolution. Unless we evolved to need the microchip, all food, clothing and shelter issues could be functionally solved at that level of technology. But then we just started showing off for our own sakes. I mean, seriously, the iPad is not the product of evolution. It does not serve any need it (or its predecessors) did not create. Sure it's nifty, but it's not a survival necessity. Yes but see the difference was that we used simple tools to get all we needed to survive, then got bored. So we started to make other tools just for the hell of it. We had that one mutation that allowed our intelligence to expand beyond where it was and then like opening the Pandora's Box it ain't going back in. So we now make things simply for the act of making them, to make doing something else easier, or just to be something nifty to take our minds off our sad existence. Remember kiddies... boredom is a very dangerous thing indeed. My point was that humans are different from the rest of the animal kingdom. It doesn't mean we're more or less "natural." just that we have an X-factor not found in the animal kingdom. The purpose of this difference is debatable, but trying to claim that we're just mammals (so let's do it like they do on the discovery channel) ((sorry, couldn't help myself sweatdrop )) always seems like an easy way to cop out of the responsibility such awareness brings with it. It's like saying, "I don't want to worry about child support or the power bill, I just want to party, and I'm just an animal anyway, so I never have to ask myself any hard questions or try to improve my character. Because I'm an animal, I can act like one without guilt." There are certainly a multitude of ways we can live in harmony or disharmony with nature. The reason most people don't live a "greener" life is frankly because of ignorance. Did you know that 85% of neighborhoods don't allow solar panels on rooves? It's because in the 1980's, they were an "eye sore," and even though the technology has advance so that a few square yards of solar panels can take you off the grid and look pretty good doing it, the home owners associations haven't been pressured enough to come into the 21st century. That's just my two cents. i don't see any reason that we can't decide to live without guilt if we feel we can. nor to say that we are divorced from the animal kingdom because of this difference. plenty of species are completely unique, but are still considered animals. and what about other primates? there are arangotans that build boats for crying out loud! and chimps that go to war, and have traditions! i wouldn't be surprised if they have religions! and one articular species of gibbons was researched by scientists and they decyphered most of one tribe's language, and can communicate with them limitedly with words! monkey words! with specifically that one tribe of them! these are things that for the longest time were considered uniquely human things. in truth, we find that we have alot more in common with "lesser" animals than we thought. and it's not just with primates either, its with dolphins, birds, dogs, you name it! Living without guilt requires a certain level of fulfillment. I was thinking more about the people who act without regard for others, and use a very shallow and critical view of life to justify their harmful actions. Limited communication is possible with a lot of species. There is a man who can speak mustang (I even know a little of the dialect myself), elephants that paint, etc. But there is always some sort of ceiling on their abilities. Even the most advanced chimps cannot understand past or future tense, and cannot use function words. Music for music's sake has not yet been discovered in animals. Sure whales sing and monkeys beat on hollow logs, but again there is a block, something extra. I'm not at all saying that we're special so it's our manifest destiny to strip mine the planet. I'm just pointing out that humans possess something extra. My personal belief is that this something extra was given in conjunction with stewardship over the natural world.
