Ellie felt the ground rumble with the force of the explosion. Suddenly, she smell of fresh blood entered his nose. And she instantly recognized the scent. It was Tyler's blood. She looked over and saw him tearing out a a piece of shrapnel metal from his shoulder. She held her nose so she wouldn't be tempted to drink the blood that flowed out. She was already suffering from the secondary effect of drinking too much blood, she didn't want to suffer the third effect; full blown blood-lust.At his order to get away from the fire, she began to ran while still holding her nose. Although she didn't get very far before she collapsed to her knees. She was already weak in the legs; running didn't help at all.

"C'mon, c'mon, don't give up just yet." Tyler helped Ellie to her feet and walked her out of the building. He tossed the magazine to Daniel, and sat still as someone applied first aid to his wound. He didn't even see who it was. "Well, that was partially successful. We've rescued a few more. Let's get back to the train and move on to the next big part of town. We didn't gather enough supplies here before we were attacked. And someone keep an eye on Ellie. It's not that I don't trust her; I studied vampirism at the labs just before the spread of the Final Plague. Judging by her body language, I'd guess she's fighting bloodthirst. Is anyone else injured?"

"Don't wanna... Give up..." She muttered brokenly, suppressing groans of need and desire. "Just... Tired..." When he asked if anyone else was injured, she lifted her head to smell the air. "No one else... Is hurt... I smell... No fresh blood..." But as he was about to leave, she clung onto him tightly. "Don't... Leave me... Please..."

Tyler was a little perplexed, but he placed a comforting arm around her shoulders nonetheless. "I'm not going anywhere."

Smiling sweetly up at him in thanks, Ellie began to nuzzle against the crook of his neck. Her lips brushed against his flesh more than once but she didn't seem to take notice. In fact, she kinda liked it. Pressing her body further against his, she relished his warmth as she gently kissed his neck.

"Whooo! Yeah, that was so awesome!" Nicole yelled out happily, punching the air as she watched the Walmart turn into a fireball. "Um, I mean, atleast everybody's okay." She stood there for a while, listening to the chatter of the rest of the group. Then she turned back around and started to walk back towards the train, passing by Tyler and Ellie. She felt a twinge of sadness when she saw Ellie hanging over him. It wasn't that she felt anything for him, he was a friend, and older than her, she just disliked anything lovey-dovey about couples or potential couples. "That's not all she's fighting, Tyler." She forced a strained, lighthearted chuckle and pumped her shotgun with a loud click. "I'm heading back to the train, try to keep it PG-13."

Russ had put bandages on Tyler's wound. For one to thank him for saving his life and the other because he was hurt. "Well that was fun no? Now hows about we get this big tub in motion, eh?" Russ stepped onto the train not really noticing Tyler and Ellie or at least pretending not to. He had some one close to him but she had died like the rest of his family. He stepped on the train and took off all his gear. He sat down in a corner and took out a gold hear shaped locket and flipped it open. It had a picture of him and another girl. Russ smiled and shut it putting it away.

((Darn, now they're offline. =| ))

"Our accommodations include two or three cars, on this train." Nicole said, showing the three new survivors around. "The first one is the main car, including this 'living room' place here and the driver's spot. The second is the food supply car/main storage area. And the third is the...well, you could say bedrooms. Whenever you need some sleep, just go into there a choose any bed. I guess we'll be sleeping in shifts, or sharing. Get comfortable, I think I'm going to get a bite to eat." She left them there, then stepped around Russ sitting in the floor, mentally cursing at herself when she say that eve he had someone he cared for. Even if they were dead. She browsed the shelves a bit before taking down a box of Cheez-Its and opening the package inside, then sat on the floor to enjoy her snack.

The pipe slide went down for a good bit, enough to make Stryker wish it didn't have so many bumps and turns in it. He tumbled out of the round exit and rolled to a stop on his back, seeing Gravemind brushing the dirt off his suit. "Well, what now, genius?" He said to him, standing up a opening his closed claw hands from where he'd protected his iPod. He switched the song and glanced around the small dark room, the sides of the walls were basically just dirt with flashlights attached to them for light.

Daniel checked the magazine for discharged rounds, only finding the top one had, not damaging the magazine itself. he had four mags, and wanted to keep them. he could repair mechanical issues, but a damaged outer casing would render it useless. And that was the last thing he needed. He put he mag in one of the pockets on his chest armor and secured it tight. He didn't want that happening again, so he checked the bindings holding his other mags in, FA-MAS, Desert Eagle, and PSG-1.

Ellie nodded a bit at Nicole's comment. "She's right..." She murmured, mustering the strength to pull her face away from his shoulder. "Every vampire... Has a different... Secondary effect... From drinking too much blood at once... In my case..." She looked down in slight embarrassment, her already flustered cheeks darkening even more. "I get really... Horny..."

Russ being tired just fell asleep in the corner with his duster as a blanket. His katana was propped up on the wall at his side just in case he had to use it.

"Well down this tunnel we'll find another hatch that leads to the surface. On the surface in the train station." Gravemind smiled an evil smile. "From there we'll just hitch a ride under the train and follow our prey to it's next destination. I do not take being forced to run lightly. Now come my sharp fingered friend. We must hurry." Gravemind began to run down the only exit of the room being a tunnel.

Tyler smiled and shook his head. "Well, we might as well move on. We still gotta finish stocking the train, and I think we're gonna have to find another Wal-Mart." Tyler laughed at the burning wreckage. He slung the SAW and lifted Ellie from the ground. The group all piled into Daniel's pickup and rode back to the train. Once aboard, Tyler laid Ellie on one of the soft beds to regain her strength. He tugged off her boots for her and let her sleep. Seeing the look on Nicole's face, he approached her. "Something bothering you, Nicole?"

For the whole ride to the train, Ellie snuggled up against Tyler, alternating between kissing his neck and rubbing her forehead lovingly against the column of his throat. When they got to the train, she couldn't help but whine a bit at the loss of his warmth. Then, he started to leave. She feebly reached out a hand to his retreating form only to feel her eyelids drop along with her hand. She was too tired to put up an argument against being left alone. Within a few minutes, she fell asleep.

"Ah, nothing really." Nicole said, looking up at Tyler in slight surprise. She'd started to read a book she'd taken from the Walmart's book section, finding it to be good. "It's kind of like getting a stomach ache all of a sudden." She glanced at the bedroom car, and then at where Russ had passed out on the floor before looking back at Tyler and smiling. "Don't worry 'bout me, it won't last long. It also won't impair my zombie killing abilities!" She fished out a couple Cheez-Its and popped them in her mouth, then stretched her hand out to Tyler, offering some. "Want some? They're not too bad for being a couple years old."

"Now that's what I'm talkin' about, Gravey!" Stryker yelled out loud, punching the air in victory. He paused long enough only to drop his iPod in the breast pocket of his Disturbed shirt and took off after Gravemind ahead of him, laughing crazily.

He smiled slyly. "I saw you shoot me a look when you saw the two of us." Before she could reply, Tyler continued, "Looks to me like you probably think this in't the time or place for that kinda thing." He reached out to grab a few Cheez-Its, and dropped them down the hatch. He finished chewing and spoke again. "Here's the way I see it. We're the last people on Earth. Might be a good idea to get comfy around each other. It'll keep us sane to build relationships and satisfy our...animal...needs. Also, there's the business of repopulating the planet if and when we figure out what to do about the ghouls." The car jolted as the engine began its work. One of the new survivors was up front, driving. Tyler sat on the bed beside Ellie, and leaned against the boxcar wall. He drew out a box of his long, thin cigars and lit one. He raised an eyebrow and held the box out to Nicole.
