Elly said a quick 'see ya!' and ran off to class. She finally got there when the bell rang and slapped her forhead with her palm for not thinking about teleporting there. The teacher did not like it when she used her powers before class for it took away the energy she probably needed. She walked briskly into class, the only other person there was aboy named Tyler who was really new to his abilities and for some reason they weren't working either. Elly said hello to him and he nodded, not one to really talk, though not because of hate for people, but because he was usually concentrating on something. The teachers name was Mr. Soles, the only dark elemental teacher at Estelle and he was very good with what he does. He taught both advanced and beginners class and they all were taught the same thing for the first half of the year and then he went to individual students, based on either what their other powers were or on what level of darkness they possesed. Either way, it was hard on Elly and often times she found herself and the teacher both stressed out. "Okay today we're going to see what your limits are, since it has been three months since I've seen either of you and your posers may have developed since then. Tyler, you will go first, just in case Elly knocks me unconscious again..." he said in a joking way, but Elly didn't find it very funny. She humored him by smiling with exaggeration and he simply laughed all the more.

They watched Tyler with his darkness, the first steps were having it glow on your palms and then you had to form things with it, weapons, art, anything. They you had to battle something, in which it was a little faerie, one of the ones that didn't mind being targets for students. The darkness Tyler had to use, from what Mr. Soles told him to use, was first orbs of darkness and then he had to trick up the orbs and make them do some other sort of attack. Tyler could make the orbs, but when it came to doing something else, he couldnt make the darkness adjust to it. This was what happened last year at the end too, for last year he could hardly even form a ball of darkness and now he just had trouble making it do what he wanted. "Alright that's enough for now. You need to work on arts and crafts stuff to help your mind thing of how you want to create things. Maybe watch some cartoons too, that helps me imagine things" Mr. Soles said in a nice tone. He was like the only teacher that would ever tell his students to watch cartoons and act like a kid. "okay Elly, it's your turn now..." he said with a grave look, though he was only joking with her again.

"Oh goody... time to try and not kill everyone in the school. I missed these moments..." she said sarcastically and rolled her eyes. She did the same things that Tyler did, forming a faerie out of darkness and then when it came to battling the target, she didn't have trouble at first, but then she started to have it. Her faerie chased the other one around, their speeds were prety fast and Elly could keep hers up with the other one. Then she had to do something that morphed her darkness to attack the real faerie and then thats when things went bad. She made her faerie explode into tiny darkness 'droplets' and then they were to extend out into thin dagger like weapons. But when they did this, they didn't listen to Elly. At first things were going great, the daggers followed the real fearie around and were close to hitting it, but then they stopped and the darkness grew, Elly's power enhancing and making them add darkness to them. When this happened, her hand went numb and it started to doing things on its own like twitching and the fingers twiddling like encantations. "M-Mr. Soles... Hey! Do something!!!" she said frantically, the numbness spreading to her arm and quickly. It was kind of visible for the darkness was like a black misty color and it crawled up her like a disease. Mr. Soles came over and put both of his hands on Elly's arm, scrammbling encantational words together to decreade the flow of darkness and diminish it. but unfortunately it was one of those moments where it wasn't working again and the darkness in Elly's arm was rebeling against it and crawling faster up her face. She tried to let her light take it away, but the darkness was already starting to grow on her and she could feel herself getting dizzy, the overwelming energy the darkness unleashed was becoming too much for her to handle. In order for Elly to not hurt others and for the darkness not to take control of her body, she had to be knocked unconscious. Fortunately, Mr. Soles knew how to do this without hurting Elly and without causing damage. He took a hold of her neck and cracked it in a certain palce and pressed his thumb in antoher place and she became immoble. The darkness started to go back into her palm and then it was stable again. Elly lay unconscious and Tyler fetched a pillow to put under her head, the two obviously used to the ritual.

User ImageTristans class was significantly less.... interesting. They were simply learning about how spirits worked, differences..... and it was lecture. It was a miracle he never fell asleep in that class. It wasn't too long, all of them released once lecture was done. Some remained behind to talk with the teacher and he was required to since he was one. Surprisingly enough, the one twin girl also remained behind to talk with Mr. Pinbacker.

Normally he may try to listen but the way the girl was.... he just didn't. They were very serious about something and she eventually left leaving him alone with his professor. "So.... when emotions are involved I have less control. I mean, we already sort of knew this but now it's become even more obvious."

"Yes, I know. Mr. Patton was telling me the state of one chair in his classroom. Philip told me the rest." Mr. Davis spoke, his hands folded in front of him. "It's alright, things happen. I'm glad your at least getting close to someone other than Vira. Now, anything you notice that helps you stay solid?" He asked with a small tilt of his head, a rather tall and lanky man.

Taking a slight breath, he was just kinda glad he wouldn't have to worry about expenses due to the fact it wasn't like he could pay them. "Uh.... Not really. Lots of things that cause me to go transparent but nothing yet to keep me solid. Oh yeah, something else to know..." He then proceeded to tell Mr. Pinbacker about this new information about his possible family and what had happened when his hand had gone see-through at dinner the day before. "And well... it's never happened really when I'm angry or think back. I mean, full body is more likely, but never just partial. I would assume this shows improvement."

The two of them discussed this for a little while and then he left, the clock reading 5:45 when he left. s**t. Breaking into a run, he made a dash for the cafeteria, ending up going wraith-like to move faster. He phased through quite a few students which caused some uproar but he didn't really care. "Sorry!! I swear I saw nothing!" He could only phase through things, not see through things. Not everyone understood that. He landed at one of the doors rather quickly, glancing about to see if she was there.

Elly was out for a while and among this time Mr. Soles and Tyler were talking about her situation and things that could be done. Everything had been done for Elly, and yet to no progress. Elly finally woke up after her light elemental class was almost over, no use going there now. "Don't worry, I contacted Nattie to tell her you weren't coming. She told me it wasn't important since it was more for the newer advanced light elementals. She's used to this by now anyways" Mr. Soles said, helping Elly up with an offer of his hand, in which Elly took humbily. They talked about what Elly needed to do to help her powers; meditate, look up more information, and to not use darkness unless Atlas or himself were present. "Don't worry, I love this place too much to try that. Maybe i'll do it in the forrest where any damage wouldn't be bad," she told him and smiled, telling him she really had to leave. It was later then what she thought it would be and when she got to the cafeteria, she saw Tristan all out of breath and worried. She couldn't help but giggle at him like some of the other girls had. She wasn't sure if he noticed her yet or not so she teased him a bit by teleporting right behind him and poking his sides. "A little later are we?" she asked with a laugh, moving out of the way of other students who were trying to enter.

User ImageTristan had no idea she was there until he was suddenly poked in the sides, letting out an odd yelp and sort of jumping/collapsing yet remaining upright. Spinning around to face her, he wagged a finger at her as if to reprimand or something buuuut... He just kinda laughed instead. "Sorry, class took a bit longer than I expected. You haven't been waiting long have you?" He asked, now actually seeming slightly worried. He never liked to keep anyone waiting, especially not her or Vira. Well... moreso her. Vira would just slap him on the arm and then get moving. Probably.

Elly laughed just a bit louder, putting her hands infront of her mouth to muffle the loudness. "Nope! I just got here myself. I kinda 'slept' through my lights class... shall we?" she suggested and gestured inside to start getting their food. she decided to tell him the story while they stood in line to pay. Today's special was spagetti and pizza, along with the usual sandwich, salad, fruit and dessert bar. Elly grabbed some spagetti and some of their garlic bread which was to die for. She also got some honeydew, her favorite fruit, and a drink of Dr. Pepper to go with it. She waited for Tristan so that he could pick a table.

User ImageKeri had hung around the tree after it shifted slightly, revealing a small brown bag. The tree was where she hid her stuff at the end of each year. She stayed sat up in the tree for a while, watching the courtyard with interest.

After deciding that it was nearly time for lunch she floated down from the tree and headed off towards the cafeteria. She had arrived their 10 minutes before everyone else, as she was so early she grabbed some food and lifted herself up to the near the ceiling. Where she sat and ate while watching people slowly filter into the cafeteria.

User ImageTristan breathed a sigh of relief to hear that, not really caring if it was apparent or not. "Ok, thats good. Haha, I don't know how I don't sleep through my class. Of course." He nodded once, listening to her as they got their food. He grabbed spaghetti, three rolls of garlic bread, and some fruit in a bowl. He paused since he saw one of the lunch people giving him a stern look, heading to the spiral thing to receive what looked like a brownie except it was purple and gelatinous.

He caught up to her with a drink balanced somehow amongst his arms and hands. He made for a table towards the back next to the windows, carefully placing down everything. He looked at the gelatinous block with the knowledge it wasn't the tastiest thing and not due to bitterness. He had to be able to maintain a solid form somehow.

Elly followed him to the table, happy to be seated by the window. She chuckled at how he balanced the plates together and managed to not drop them. "I'don't normally sleep through my classes but I was knocked out so I had no choice. Plus, there wasn't much that could be learned today since it was an introduction to advanced lights and I already took that class a dozen or so times. I just need to make sure I eat before class or else my energy levels will be down, regardless of how much sun I get," she commented, acting as though she were a plant of some kind.

User ImageFlopping down in his chair, he blinked, yeah... she had been knocked out... "Yeah, that would do something. Well, I mean... I've heard him lecture about spirits and whatnot before so it's nothing really new. I guess there were some things. Oh yeah, one of those twin sisters that arrived yesterday was in there. She and Mr. Pinbacker seemed to be talking rather in-depthly with each other. Wonder what her powers are..." He murmured, nodding as he promptly shoveled some spaghetti in which of course meant he couldn't immediately respond. Once he swallowed, sitting up a bit straighter. It seemed like his physical form was a bit more translucent which he ignored. "Well, everyone needs to eat my dear flower. I have to force myself to remain in a physical form 24/7. It's harder work than one would think." He chuckled slightly, taking a bite of the jello. He winced since it was painful for him. But he did seem to solidify more which was always good.

She cringed at the thought of having to always remain solid and how much energy it must be taking to do it. "Ouch! Sounds like hard work. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know" she insisted, taking some bites of spegetti followed by the great taste of garlic bread.

User ImageThe room below was filled with the sound of talking and the clang of cutlery. Keri listened with interest into the conversations of the people sat below, she was drawn particulary to the conversation between Elly and Tristan. She listened with interest for several minutes.

Lifting a can of drink from where it was hovering in the air Keri drank a sip of it before placing it back where she had taken it from. A disturbance on the other side of the room, someone tripping over with their arms full of plates, caused her to lose her concentration.

The first sign that she had stopped using her powers was that the can fell to the table below, Keri slid sideways as she stopped leviating herself. She squealed and reached out for a handhold, this one happening to be one of the light mounts. Because of her strained circumstances she couldn't concentrate enough to wake her powers, leaving her hanging from the ceiling of the cafeteria.

User Image ((It's alright, I didn't leave much to say. xP ))

Tristan chuckled, patting her on the shoulder as he took a sip of his soda. "Well... you and Vira are inadvertantly helping me figure out what triggers me to go wraith and what doesn't. So you are already helping in your own way." He told her gently, not really about to elaborate as to why. Or at least... not get too in depth about it. "The same goes for you. I'm not really worried about darkness hurting me. Hell, I could possess you and knock you out that way if you start to lose control." He gave her a small smirk, about to take a bite when he saw Keri was hanging from the light post. "Oh boy... Uh, one sec-" He started to get up but was forced to pause since a familiar streak shot through the air up to the girl.

User Image
"Hold on!" Vira called as she rose up into the air to where the girl was floating. She felt like she knew her face, but that was all. Although she was the only one that could see them, wind spirits were flying around, a small breeze keeping her up by the ceiling. She had a small breeze catch Keri, lowering the two of them to the ground carefully. "You ok?" She asked as their feet touched the ground, her face full of concern.

"well.... glad she took care of it." Tristan murmured, relaxing and taking the bite that he meant to when he saw Keri fall. He hadn't initially seen Vira pop into the cafeteria, but well it was a good thing she had.

"I'll keep that in min-" Elly was about to tell him she would keep it in mind that he could knock her out if he needed to, but she was cut off by Keri's loss of concentration. Elly was about to also get up with Tristan, when she saw Vira get to her before they did. Elly sat back down too, letting out a sigh of relief. "I had always hated loosing concentration in the air and then falling. Im glad I would always have something to hold onto of teleport to, but wow it must be hard to loose concentration and not be able to conjure it again. Poor Keri..." Elly commented, shivering at the thought of her falling a few times from high up and somehow teleporting herself to a safe spot, gravity allowing her to remain on the earth and not fall out of the sky.

User ImageThere was another squeal as Keri's fingers slipped from the light mount, she screwed her eyes shut in anticipation of the pain from hitting the ground or worse. After a few seconds of still remaining in the air she opened her eyes slowly and looked about. To her surprise her feet touched the ground slowly as she looked at the girl who had supposedly just saved her, "I... I think i'm ok. Thanks Vira."

Keri knew the girl of course, the previous year they had shared a class. A smile spread across her face before she gestured at the can that had fallen, luckily it had been nearly empty so it hadn't made a mess. The can slowly lifted from the table before flying to the girl's open hand. She concentrated on the can for a second before feeling it fill with it's previous contents. "Thanks for that, it would've been nasty if i had fallen on someone eh?"

User ImageHer expression softened in a bright smile, brushing a couple of lose hairs from her face. Oh yeah... they had had a class together... I gotta get better at remembering names with faces... "Of course." She murmured, a little embarrassed that she didn't remember her name initially.

Glancing to the can, it caused her to blink a couple of times, not even noticing she had a can considering she had been more focused upon the fact Keri could have fallen. Giggling, she shook her head, folding her hands in front. "I certainly wouldn't recommend it. It's rather painful actually." She answered rather truthfully since it had.... well.... happened before. "Why didn't you just sit with everyone else?" She asked with a small tilt of her head.
