Eric stared at his sister, looking upset. None the less, he turned to look expectantly at Jack. "I know you can't see her, but you can hear her, right Jack? I mean, that strange girl could even hear her." Glancing back at his sister he nudged her a little, "Maybe you spoke too softly."

Izzy stood squarely in front of Eric's apartment door. Her knuckles raised to knock but she couldn't quite do it yet. She didn't know how her older brother would react to seeing her here. She wasn't quite sure how exactly she got here herself. No, wait that's silly. Amy wanted her to come here, she wanted Eric to know what Izzy knew so they could find her -real- killer.

But she didn't know anything about Eric besides that Amy loved him dearly, surely he couldn't be that bad? Two conflicting images fought for domination in her fragile fifteen year old mind. One was calm, kind and even sagely. The other was cruel, forcing Amy to keep coming back to him so he could do to her what his father had done to him. She seemed to curl in on herself a bit as the darker Eric seemed to win out, head drooping and shoulders rolling in and slouching forward, "... Amy... is this really who you want me to talk to?" Her fist was still raised but she was frozen for the moment in indecision.

After a moment of deep breathing and nervous toe wiggling she finally tapped on the door, prepared for the worst.

Elizabeth nearly jumped out of her skin. She wasn't surprised that he didn't recognize her off the bat, Rachel was her twin but they no longer looked anything alike but... he knew her name? Of course he would know her name, he did used to live in that house. They had to have crossed paths at some point...

She hesitated at his offer but as she stepped in her 'evil Eric' picture started to fade. The sagely one didn't take it's place. It seemed that she might have been wrong about Eric completely. She eyed her older brother and the man on the couch with some distrust. She didn't notice Amy's spirit either, only the one that she'd concocted in her own mind. She didn't say anything and stood awkwardly in the room only a few yards from the door.

((Izzy's supposed to have some information to add to the 'investigation' but I haven't heard back from Silencematters on what exactly it is yet so I've gotta wait for her sweatdrop ))

Izzy's stiffened at the touch but when he mentioned what she automatically assumed was Amy's death she gave him a level look, "I didn't hear. I was there before you showed up." Weather this was supposed to be a sharp remark towards him or not wasn't quite clear. She seemed more steady now, less like a frightened cat, "I left before the police showed up... I..." Her frailness came back with a vengeance and tears welled up in her eyes. It didn't matter that Amy was watching over her, whispering soft words into her ears. She never actually responded to Izzy's thoughts or questions, like she couldn't hear the younger girl at all. Elizabeth would never really be able to say she was sorry for hiding.

The to long sleeves on her sweater came up to her face, the heels of her palms pressing into her eyes, trying to fight back the tears. Her whole body shook with stifled sobs.

Amy felt shocked when she saw her younger sisster there. Suddenly she rememberd a lot, her sisster had been there. When all of it was happening. When the man had broken into her room he told her not to scream. Amy listened to him because she was afraid he would hurt her siblings. Before she had fallen off the roof..she had seen her sisster running.

Her own tears welled up in her eyes.

"Izzy" she said softly. "It's alright" she hoped she could hear her.


Jack looked annoyed and confused. Why was Eric blaming him?! It wasn't his fault he couldn't see Amy! he sat still and silent at this crazy sene going on..what was he supposed to do?

Eric relaxed a little, so she could hear Amy too....right? Glancing back at Amy, he asked his little sister, "What does she want you to tell me?" Stroking her hair, he sensed that Jack was also mad as he shifted on the couch. In a glance back to him, Eric tried to convey his apologies through his dark brown eyes. Mostly for getting mad at him, but also just for not being able to go to him. He wanted to go to Jack and wrap his arms around him, to tell him it was okay, nothing else mattered. But he couldn't just abandon his crying sister, not like he did before. Gently, he cupped her face to have her look at him, "What is it?"

Alfred twitched. It was a violent, noticeable jerk of annoyance. None the less his voice was calm as he shook his head, "You can think here all you'd like; I'm used to not going home at night. And the only person who'll disturb your thinking is Jeff's idiocy." Letting out a very even and controlled breath he continued, "Time is of the essence. Do you not understand? Amy might be dead, but there are like 5 of her siblings to deal with. Since murder comes first, we have to put away the b*****d who killed the young girl, and then we can save the rest of the kids." He felt like he was talking to Jeff. This girl wasn't dumb, and all he wanted to do was cooperate with her. But he couldn't let her walk out without having her tell him something. No one could vouch she'd return, and she herself didn't seem to be the type to want police help. She seemed to want to be the hero of the day all my herself. Well, the heroism would come a hell of a lot faster if they stopped stomping on each others' toes.

Emily smirked. She had information that would really blow him away. Like Amy was still in essance 'alive'. Looking up from her drink, she looked Alfred straight in the eyes. "That's alot of assuming. And you know what that can do? It makes an *** out of you and me". She took a long drink from her tea and stood up, never loosing eye contact with Alfred. "This battle of wits and will is over. Next time, come armed". She grabbed her backpack and opened the door, walking out before they could react. She dropped a card with her cell number and area code on the desk as she rushed by. She didn't want to be deterred as she left. She'd give them more info as soon as they knew she didn't see them as authority figures or equals, just the low-down grunts they were. She walked briskly out the front door and pulled out the new cell phone she had just got. As she walked down the sidewalk, she fingered her old phone. If the police tracked her new phone with the number she gave them, she'd have to rely on her old one.
