[[is riko and kaze on roof?]] Kai stood near Kaze and Riko. "Need support?" She could help them with their plan in many ways. She had been late to the party, but she made sure any civilian living near the gate was a safe distance away from the battle and she brought a medical kit since they only had one medical person and it was a genin. She could help Riko with the spear attack, maybe help Emily underground with her shadows. She couldn't do much with anything else, but she was already keeping a eye on the other battles. "Wanna give me some details?" She had arrived just after Shinji so she didn't hear Kaze. Lana seemed to already charge in battle...without support or anything!

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Without a single word commenting on the merits or dangers of what Lana was doing, Shinji took no time to react to her attack. As soon as he saw her move, Shinji launched forward himself, leaping from the roof of the building they were on top of to land on the ground, gaining distance on the battle quickly with his phenomenal speed. His left eye still watering and in pain, Shinji winced on his approach, but pushed through his impaired vision which would be healed soon. The battle was beginning now and he had to concentrate on keeping an eye not only on himself and his enemy, but also on the Genin in order to protect them... there would be no time to pay heed to the screaming pain inside his body. In a seamless maneuver, Shinji reached down to his side and loosed his windmill shuriken from his side, flicking his wrist as the huge blades rotated outward and then locked into position as Shinji launched it at Lana's target.
Still running forward, Shinji whipped the Shuriken towards his foe, aiming for his chest which would force him to deal with the sharp blades while hopefully protecting Lana from the much higher-ranked ninja's counterattack. As it flew towards it's target, spinning and slicing vicious through the air with incredible speed, Shinji then held up his hand in a single seal in front of him, activating the 'Ka' kanji on the Flame Wheel as the entire Windmill Shuriken burst forth with red hot flames which added an extra level of threat to the weapon. The shuriken's path and speed was timed perfectly and would arrive just after Lana's attempt to attach seals to the man's legs and shortly after that, Shinji would be in range to follow up and do what was necessary to continue to keep Lana safe and put pressure on his enemies.
However, within all of this, Shinji managed to smirk as he ran, the joy of battle flooding into him even in the midst of the seriousness of this attack. Adrenaline flooded his system, propelling him forward and enhancing his reflexes as he would be ready to respond at an instant's notice. This is what Shinji lived for... action, and he would be sure that his would bring honor to his clan and protect his village and it's members. It didn't matter what these two men were after... an attack against any member of the village, or the village itself was an assault on Shinji and he would fight to the end to repel and eradicate the danger... and more then that, he would enjoy it.

Battle MusicKenpachi ripped his sword out of the ground, intent on utterly destroying this man. He was tired of all these cowardly little tricks, and focused on no one but Deidalus, his intense berserker focus unwavering. Even with the small satisfaction he got from seeing the man's pathetic attempt at escape quite literally fall apart beneath him, Kenpachi used his anger at the man's cowardly techniques to drive him forward, to ignore any pain, any distraction, anything that would prevent him from his singular focus: Kill.
As he watched the man with the focus that can only be achieved by a berserker, he donned a wide, sadistic, crazed grin as the man finally did what Kenpachi had been wanting him to do: Run towards him. "Yes, Yes, YES!!!!!!!!" He screamed, half in rage and half in pleasure, as he took his massive katana in both hands and held it above his head, angled for a downward chop, and rushed headlong at Deidalus. Electric bolts began to dance off of his fingertips, and the part of the handle between Kenpachi's fists began to bend from Kenpachi's grip. He was no longer playing around, no more of his half-assed jutsu. This was the most chakra kenpachi could use in a single jutsu, and considering Kenpachi had almost no chakra control to speak of and his oceanlike reserves, that was a lot of chakra.
Unbeknowest to Kenpachi (let us remember that the katana is behind his head right now, poised for a downward chop), the sword in his hands began to change shape, reacting to the massive power coursing through Kenpachi. The blade became even larger, growing to a massive eight feet, widened like a broadsword, and oddest of all, changed the composition of the blade itself. Where once there was steel, now was a blade of a completely transparent material, almost akin to glass. Inside the blade, one could see small blue/white bolts of what appeared to be lightning bouncing inside of it, moving toward the edges from the center of the blade.
Kenpachi did not seem to notice any sort of changes n the weight or balance of his sword; nay, he did not seem to notice anything, save for the fact that death was about to meet this arrogant man. "Let us be finished!!!" Kenpachi yelled as he (assuming the man did not use any cowardly tricks again) slammed his katana atop Deidalus, releasing all the pent-up energy within the mighty blade.
All eyes were blinded at the magnificent display of raw power, a giant pillar of lightning that engulfed the duo. Bolts of lightning rained down everywhere, onto rooftops, groups of people, even random sections of ground, turning any loose soil it hit into glass from the sheer intensity of the lightning. The blade itself sheared straight through the earth as if it were butter, creating a deep gash in the ground, and anything it might have hit. Anyone within twenty feet of Kenpachi would be blown back, and for those close to the blade........whatever god they believe in help them.
As the cone of massive power faded, all that could be seen was Kenpachi, face down in the ground, his katana buried to the hilt in the scorched earth, laughing like a madman. While he thought the job was done, and his sensei avenged, he laughed at the irony: the avenging swing of his sword had cost him his right forearm. He could never be a berserker again. "Oh, the sweet, sweet irony......." he thought as he lay there, laughing, warmed by the pool of his own life's blood running from what used to be his sword arm.
Unseen to almost anyone, when Kenpachi swung his sword, a substance of some sort flew off the sword directly after the blast, reverting the blade from its magnificent eight foot broadsword form to the five and a half foot notched katana form. As the substance hit the ground, it formed itself into the shape of a flawless diamond, with small bolts of what appeared to be lightning bouncing off its inside.
(In case you couldn't tell, yes, this is my finisher. Hey, you guys have to start training for the chuunin exams at some point. And on why it took so long, I had an even better version before, but it was accidentally deleted....so yea)

As Hideki's clone moved in for a strike, he was unfortunate to find himself in the quick grip of the Tsuchikage. As she squeezed his wrist his mouth opened to let out a yelp, however it was cut short by him bursting into water, the hand that was once there slinking into a puddle on the ground.
As Hideki's attack struck a stone pillar, he flicked his wrist backwards to quickly retract the attack. As he did, he caught sight of a few figures jumping from the building across with the children on it. Backflipping, he brought his wrist down in order to allow the blade to come under his feet, landing on it and pushing himself farther upwards into the air. He watched two clones of Deidalus charge his way, and a genin pop up from where he once stood. Twisting his body horizontally in mid-air, his blade and the water as well swirled around him as he extended it farther and farther until the deadly blades sliced at the ground before the clone could manage to completely rise out, in an attempt to it in half and turning it into wood. The next clone he saw coming was of another girl, and his water blade sought that one out. It quickly rushed downwards and attempted to wrap around the left leg and snake upwards into a stabbing blow through the back into the stomach. Of course Hideki had no way of truly knowing if they were clones or not, however he guessed that no genin was foolish enough to rush into the fray like that.
As his body reached its full ascent, the metal blade once again swooped under him and flowed horizontally, acting as a small balancing beam which he ran across in the air. It was then that he caught sight of his brother yelling. The vision in his right eye faltered slightly, and he could tell that suddenly he had lost a small fraction of his vision which only meant one thing; Kenpachi had put himself in danger and near death. As bolts of lighting were clearly led to the source of water and metal floating in the air, he quickly jumped off of the blade and flicked his wrist in a spiral motion, sending both the water blade and metal one towards the two clones of Deidalus, each one with bolts of lighting coursing around them from the sky. As the two conductive blades neared the clones, more electricity would be drawn to the area as that was its nature. He aimed to strike both of their chests, but factoring in the intensity of the electricity in that area, Hideki gathered that the area of effect for his attack would be far too great for the clones to block.
As his decent brought him behind the clones, he jumped back and picked up the body of his brother and his weapon, hefting both over his left shoulder muttering, "Baka" as he continued to jump back three more times in order to get out of the now dust-ridden area. Retracting his blade to its original length, Hideki thought up of just where to find a medic good enough to replace what was lost in his attack. As his body began to dematerialze into mist from the feet up with his brother as well he muttered, "We'll see each other again soon enough Deidalus. I hope the slaying of your formal teacher was worth the destruction of the face of your village." Hideki hinted at something that hadn't become apparent to him until fighting the man. The way he moved, even some of the things he said, they were reminiscent of their sensei. And as both brothers had studied his notes, Hideki had always wondered about his first student. He spoke of him not at all, and even in his notes there were only vague references to a genin he took on long ago. But Hideki was certain it was him. And as he and his brother disappeared with the wind, the destruction he and his brother had caused was apparent. The lightning had caused the gates to crumble under its own weight after being struck numerous times. Nearby buildings were beginning to catch fire, and the huge gashes in the ground from Hideki's blade caused sulfur to rise into the air. Personally, Hideki gathered that somehow the sannin had survived the attack. He may not have survived it without a scratch, but the man wasn't dumb. Even with the destruction around them, Hideki and Kenpachi's goal was not reached: Deidalus would die the next time they came.Kirigakure: Shunshin no Jutsu (Hidden Mist: Instantaneous Body Skill) Description: An ability which allows the user to transport from one area to another in a spray of fine mist. The user has to have been to the area before and the distance is limited to about one mile. This jutsu can only be used to escape combat, and may not be used if the shinobi is attacking or has been attacked.

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Watching the man who was his target wield his blades was nothing short of impressive as he was apparently capable of levitating them at will, enabling him to fight in the air, extending blades of water out to strike at his opponents. Watching the water blade slice through Lana's clone, which split into wood, Shinji was quick to rush towards her quickly at the sight of the other blade attacking her. Reaching behind him, a large metal clank was heard as Shinji unleashed Forza from it's holding place, immediately channeling his Doton-based energy into the blade to harden it's effectiveness against the water technique.
Reaching Lana just in time as she rose out of the ground, Shinji slashed Forza not more then an inch away from Lana, severing the tendril-like water sword from wrapping around her left leg before quickly twirling around to her back where a second slash intercepted the sharpened point which would have been her demise, his blade slashing through the water technique, dispersing it into nothing but harmful drops of water. With that, Shinji then felt an immense build-up of chakra to his side as he saw the other enemy beginning to summon massive amounts of chakra to his cause. Soon lightning seemed to beginning raining down from the sky, bringing devastation to the entire area wherever it hit.
With very little time to react, Shinji held up a single seal in front of his face, having noted the attack against Deidalus that his initial target had sent out. Activating the 'Living Weapon' seal of the Flame Wheel, the windmill shuriken's flight path suddenly turned away from it's current course, slicing through the air towards it's new targets, which were the swords sent towards what may or may not have been clones of Deidalus. Sailing through the air, dodging through the lightning blasts around the field, the shuriken made contact with one of the blades, striking it solidly as it was sent sailing off course far away from threatening one of the images of Deidalus. However, with the rain of lightning intensifying and getting closer to his and Lana's fringe proximity, he had no time to deflect the other blade, and instead had to trust that Deidalus would be able to deal with it himself.
Quickly grabbing Lana around the waist, Shinji's legs suddenly surged with his bloodline chakra as his legs flashed with a sudden burst of red chakra before he darted off, just in time to dodge a lightning bolt which hit the ground where they stood, splitting the earth as it struck. Moving at incredible speeds now, Shinji was capable of avoiding the remaining bolts of lightning without much difficulty as he removed himself and Lana from danger, bringing her back to the group of other Genin while the chaos of the field continued around them. Pain surged through Shinji's legs causing him to suddenly stop and slightly stumble as he dropped Lana off with the others, but gritting his teeth through the sudden surge of pain, his adrenaline kicked in once more, re-focusing his attention on his enemies once more.
"All of you stay here... that battlefield is too chaotic for Genin to run into." With that, Shinji grit his teeth and bared the pain which was flooding into his body. He would have to hope that his attacks had in someway helped Deidalus and the Tsuchikage until he could assist them once again. However, after the enemies made their escape, it was obvious that all that was left to do, was to tend to their own. Cursing himself that he couldn't try to catch them before they could escape, only the thought that he had helped keep Lana alive in the midst of the chaos consoled him.

Deidalus grinned as he ran towards the Raiton utilizing brute. The beast of man had clearly wanted to close the gap and get into close combat with him this entire fight. However, Deidalus always attempted to do the unexpected when it came to fighting and had deliberately kept escaping and provoking the man. As a general rule, provoking ones opponent or even goading them into a particular action in a fight was an extremely effective move. Now, Deidalus intended to close the space between the two in an attempt to throw several jutsu at him in close range. As he neared his target, Deidalus noted that Kenpachi appeared rather ecstatic and a bit more crazed than he had appeared normally. As the man rushed towards him, Deidalus also noted that the blade Kenpachi wielded over his head in preparation for bisecting him, started to turn transparent (albeit with electrical sparks traveling through it) and, to his growing horror, Larger. “He taught you two that technique, eh? Not terribly surprising.” Deidalus muttered to himself even as he channeled his chakra to his right hand. Bringing his fist down to the ground, Deidalus spoke. “Rising Earth Pillar!” he said as he shoved the chakra into the ground. Normally such a technique would be used to attack the opponent, but this time Deidalus was using it defensively. A small pillar of earth roughly 6 feet in height, shot out of the ground at an angle and impacted Deidalus in the sternum, forcing him back and away. Just in time, it appeared, as the transparent blade smashed into the ground and through the pillar. Deidalus quickly covered his eyes and ears with his arms but even then the blinding flash nearly seared his retinas and the loud thunderclap nearly busted his ear drums. Suddenly, he was bodily lifted by a shock wave that sprang from the impact point and hurled him into a nearby building. Smashing through the window, he continued for a few feet before slamming into a desk his right shoulder and arm taking the brunt of the damage. It was then that his vision faded to black. Clones 1 and 2 After having split from the real Deidalus, the two clones rushed towards the second and more mature brother. Even as they closed the distance, the sudden change in weather, due to kenpachi’s jutsu, nearly derailed them from their course. However, lives were at stake so the clones kept on going. When Hideki threw his weapon at them, they decided to put their plan into action. What they didn’t expect was for the lightning to be attracted to the weapon itself. If it were not for the quick intervention of Shinji neither one would have survived. However, only one was spared from the vicious attack. Bending down he placed his hands to the ground and said firmly, “Doton: Doryuudan no jutsu.” Even as the earth rose and formed about the clone in the shape of a dragons head, a loud crack came from the sky and a lightning bolt struck the dragons head and it exploded. Back with Deidalus Deidalus awoke to the acrid stench of burned flesh and smoke. With a start however, Deidalus realized that he could neither see nor hear anything going on around him. Feeling around with his left hand he checked himself over. Dislocated shoulder, a couple of bruised, if not cracked, ribs and second degree burns on my right leg. He thought, letting out a sharp hiss as his fingers poked and prodded his leg. Feeling around once more, he grabbed a hold of a nearby chair and lifted himself up. Planting his right foot down brought on a wave of nausea but Deidalus pushed through it and made his way out of the building using his sense of touch. As he exited out of the building, he started to pick up bits and pieces of sounds. Chakra: 110/180 Kunai:9 Shuriken: 20 Makibishi:0 light bomb:0 smoke bomb:5 steel wire: 3 yards worth Quote: Rising Earth Pillar Rank: C Description: Gathering chakra and strength into one hand, the user hits the ground hard, sending the chakra into the ground. Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || With the battle scene finally washing away from the entrance of their village, Shinji was surprised to see the amount of devastation just two people had caused. However, by the strength of their leaders, the village itself had been protected and was free of any casualties. With the clouds of the opponent's jutsu dissipating and the smoke clearing, it was becoming clear that the threat had been neutralized and that it was time to begin assessing the damage. The only moving part of the field of battle left was Shinji's Flame Wheel, which had been spinning around in the air, waiting for a new command after deflecting Hideki's weapon. Turning to those behind him, Shinji nodded, silently giving the okay to head out into the field and offer assistance and then ran into the field to the area he had last seen Deidalus.
Arriving at the scene of the intensive electrical explosion, Shinji marveled at the damage which was done by the attack. The epicenter alone was cratered at least 5 feet deep and the blast radius pushed the earth out into a bowl shape for at least 10 feet more in all directions before tapering off. Making a one-handed seal, Shinji's Flame Wheel quickly returning to him, the flames extinguishing from the blades as it spun quickly through the air directly back into his hand. Catching it precisely in the middle where the large ring was, the blades of the Flame Wheel quickly retracted, the blades aligning one on top of the other on the ring before Shinji re-attached it to the holster around his waist. Looking around, Shinji looked for a trace of Deidalus, but wasn't able to find much besides destroyed earth and housing.
As he would expect from a Sannin of his village, Shinji then heard a rustling from one of the damaged houses as he watched Deidalus emerge from it, checking himself for injuries simultaneously. Running over immediately, as he looked quite injured, Shinji wasted no time in attempting to assist. "Deidalus-sensei, are you alright? That blast was insane... I'm surprised you're still standing. Well, not overly surprised, but still, it's probably not the best idea for you to be standing up. Who were those two anyway? What did they want in attacking our village?"
Reaching out his hand to offer assistance, Shinji then suddenly flinched, as his neck craned to the side slightly, his body dealing with a sudden immense wave of pain which ricochet throughout his body as a punishment for the earlier uses of his bloodline chakra. His eyes almost half closing as they flickered open and shut from the intense agony flooding through him, Shinji refused to give in to the pain as he grit his teeth and pushed it back, unwilling to be incapacitated in front of his mentor as he himself was trying to render aid. Pushing the agony of the pain to the background of his mind, Shinji endured through it all to offer his shoulder to support Deidalus' weight on top of his own if he needed. However, something told him that the Sannin of the Iwagakure would refuse and was the rock-hard determination of many of their people.

Death spank slowly arouse from out of the ground just inside his village, his purple full body suit was tight over his bulging arms and chest. Stretching and taking in the beauty of his home he wondered why he ever left. Just as he started to venture further into the village he heard some noise behind him and turned.
The utter devastation to the land scape behind him made his jaw drop all the way to the floor. Stunned for a moment he just stood there hunched over and astounded that he missed such devastation. "Wa..wa..WHAT HAPPEN HERE! WHAT TYPE OF EVIL VILLAINY WOULD TRY TO HARM IWAGAKURE!!! THIS IS BLASPHEMY!" Flailing his giant arms around and stomping his little legs Death Spank threw his tantrum continuously yelling obsenitys to the ones responsible until someone stopped him.

As Deidalus exited the building, his vision returned. Slowly at first but steadily increasing in speed, his vision began to clear and Deidalus could see his surroundings. He took in the semi-destroyed area as well as the approaching figure of Shinji. "Me? I'm fine." He said in response to Shinji's half worried/ half surprised question, waving away the offered hand. Grabbing a hold upon his still limp arm he roughly pulled and pushed, popping his shoulder back into place with a grunt. "It would probably be best to answer that during debriefing."
"Are the Genin okay? No one was seriously injured were they?" He asked as he glanced around the village just missing the tell tale signs of pain that gripped Shinji. It was just as his eyes landed on the village gates when he saw a sight he wished he had not. "Great! He's back again.....really wish Tsuchikage-sama would allow me to bring him up on charges of disturbing the peace." He muttered to himself as he left Shinji in order to report to the Tsuchikage.

It created a massive creator, and even had lightning bolts strike down in a furious manner down there. 'Emily and Lana charged in recklessly... But I'm glad we attacked that white hair guy, instead of the spikey haired man.. They would have gotten hurt, or bad injuries from his attack. But... If Shinji didn't show up, it would have been far more dangerous.'
Getting the signal from Shinji, Kaze disrupts his clone, and hopped off of roof, to the ground, and got a better look at the landscape from a view other than bird's eye. '...Geez..', Kaze couldn't imagine what it would have been like if he had charged in with Lana or Emily. Sure, they were strong, but... Reckless nonetheless.
As Kaze was making his way over to Shinji and Deidalus, he was distracted by an unfamilar voice that rang out. Kaze quickly turned to look at an oddly shaped figure wearing purple. Kaze's facial expression clearly showed,"Wtf?", and also showed he was weird ed out by this figure. 'I've never seen him before.. But,' looking to Deidalus and Shinji and then back at the man,'since they don't look at him as if he's a threat, he must be alright..'
Kaze then hurried over to Deidalus and Shinji. "Uh..." Kaze said, while pointing to the odd man, but still looking at Shinji and Deidalus. "Who is that?" "му ɢσαl ιs ɴσω Oиє Sтєp Clσsєя!"

"Death Spank! You are needed at the academy! Hurry there are young ninja there who need help defending honor, justice... and other stuff! Go hurry!" Yelled one of the guards to death Spank, and like a witless buffoon off ran Death Spank leaving a large trail of dust as he yelled out "Don't worry young ones I am on my WAAAAAAAAAAY!
As Death Spank exited the gates several of the gates guarded could be seen letting loose sigh of relief as the one who got Death Spank to leave in the first place said as he wiped his brow "That guy.... is stupid... I don't know how he managed to stay alive all that time he was gone, or how he found his way back to Iwa. Looks like we are stuck with him again though... Damn. Several people including most of the guards could be seen with sorrow on there face as Death Spank rushed toward the academy.

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Watching his superior pop his dislocated shoulder back into his arm with a mere grunt was an impressive display of the man's battle-worn status. Retracting his offered hand, Shinji waited for some kind of an order or a response as to what had happened here, but was disappointed to hear it would only come out in a briefing. When asked about the Genin however, he forgot about his disappointment and answered quickly... "They're all fine. A couple of them got a bit anxious to jump into the fight, but luckily I was prepared to guard them and keep them alive. I was able to repel one of the enemy's attacks and keep Lana safe as well as removing her to a safe distance in the chaos of the lightning attack. Luckily no one was injured."
After delivering this report, Shinji could hear Deidalus disappointingly mutter something under his breath and move off to the Tsuchikage. Disappointed that he did not seem that interested in speaking to Shinji about any of this, Shinji was about to follow him, but then turned to see Kaze ask him about the strange man in purple who Shinji had not yet noticed in his concern for Deidalus. Turning around, Shinji was only able to catch a brief glimpse of the man as he screamed something half-insane and ran past the guards. The guards however showed no resistance, which was rather telling of the man's clearance. "I'm not really sure Kaze... never seen him before. Can't bother to deal with it now though. there is too much work to be done. We need to get the repairs underway. How would you feel about undertaking a mission? Do you still need a few to qualify for the exams?"
Shinji figured this would be the best course of action and an area where the Genin would be able to assist their village as well as prepare them for the upcoming exams. Hopefully, if they were able to begin the repairs soon, the village would be less susceptible to another attack if those two men were to return, which from what he could understand of Deidalus' reaction... they most likely would.

Konaga RikoIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin|| Taijutsu Specialist || Speed || Tectical ||From her spot on the roof, Riko continued to watch the battle below unfold and was shown the reality of battle. Those people won't hold back and they will aim for the kill. It would appear that the opponents were much stronger than they anticipated as shown by the black, spiky haired man's final move. Breathing heavily, Riko stared in horror at the power of the man's blast and was glad to see Shinji pull Lana back to safety. 'Thank goodness...I was so worried as to how she would've survived that blast...'
Jumping down from the roof, Riko was frozen momentarily by the sight of the mass destruction at the gates. To think that only two people caused this, it was truly astounding as well as an eye opener. If Riko was to defend her village she needed to get stronger and to get stronger...it would mean facing her fears...'I can't keep hiding anymore...I'm not the little girl being protected by my parents anymore, I chose this path so I have to live up to my choices...I'll have to tell Shinji-san about my decision soon...' As if splashed with cold water, Riko was suddenly reminded of Shinji's paticipation in battle and how obvious it was that he used chakra manipulation, turning towards the direction where Deidalus laid from the remains of the battle, Riko saw Shinji whince in pain and immediately felt another wave of worry wash over her.
As she began making her way over to the group, Riko was sudden side tracked when a strange man clad in purple popped up from the ground and began uttering nonsence. Shaking her head, Riko chose to ignore him and just approach the group. Reaching the group, Riko immediately began releasing her worry in the form of questions. "Deidalus-sensei, Shinji-san, are you two alright?"

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || While waiting for a response from Kaze, Shinji felt Riko's familiar presence come closer, his pain becoming somewhat alleviated. However, in reflecting on it, it was not as much of a relief as it had before. "My body is getting used to her presence... soon I won't feel much alleviation at all." Disappointed by the revelation, Shinji was none-the-less happy to have her sister of sorts look on him with care, as he turned to face her and answer her question. "Never better." he responded with a smile.
Of course, it was an utter lie. His legs burned with agony as if they had been set on fire and put out, just to be set back on fire again and plunged into ashes. And aside that, there was still the gnawing pain throughout his body which he felt at merely a baseline level which had nothing to do with the use of his augmentations. Riko's presence however was soothing and the pain quickly vanished from his mind, pushed into a deep cavern of his consciousness as he stood tall amongst the group. "Deidalus-sensei seems to be fine. Remarkably, he wasn't gravely injured in that blast, though I have no clue how he could simply walk away from it. Perhaps the Tsuchikage created a last second defense for him amidst the blast... I would not put such a thing past her."
Smiling to the group, Shinji didn't know what else to say, but clearly things had to get moving in terms of cleaning the area up and rebuilding the gate. With attacks of this magnitude, there was almost work to be done in fetching supplies and repairing destroyed buildings. "Riko, how is your training for the Chuunin Exams coming along? Have you completed all the necessary requirements to qualify?"
