NikolasNikolas smiled sincerely as they entered the little cafe. It smelled thickly of freshly-baked goods and homemade sweets. Hints of cinnamon, cocoa, and vanilla were everywhere; it was enough to make the Banette feel a little hungry. "No; this is perfect..." He told the Lopunny quietly, looking around. "...My family owned a bakery when I was little. If anything, this just makes me feel a little at home." He tugged lightly on a stitch, effectively tightening it. Nik glanced at Jack with a slight grin. "Y-you wanna pick a spot...?"

Jack nearly let out a sigh of relief as his choice was applauded greatly. Granted there wasn't much here that he would enjoy himself but he was all for putting on facades just for the sake of pleasing others. Hell, that's basically what his job position called for anyway; he was sure to be damn good at it. "Maybe you can put your inheritance to good use if your kingdom doesn't have anything like this already." Jack suggested with a light shrug before finding them a seat relatively far away from any other bit of crowd that would be in attendance but still in an area where it wouldn't be a hassle for a waitress to serve them. The conversation seemed to leave an opening for him to bring up his own past but there really wasn't much he could talk about; his whole life was the guild and always has been. At least as far as he was concerned...

NikolasNik shook his head politely, sitting down next across from Jack. "The only thing I learned how to do was hot drinks..." He told the Lopunny serenely, crossing his legs in a relaxed, childlike manner. "I th-think I'm better off fighting for my g-guild, to be honest." He smiled at Jack, tilting his head curiously. "...What do you do? In y-your guild, I mean?" He wondered, hoping that he wouldn't mind his asking. "Y-you don't appear to be much of a warrior, if you don't mind my saying so. You're too skilled with more intricate workings to be terribly involved in battle training."

By the words spoken from the Banette's zipper of a mouth, Jack was able to assume from there that the tattering of the ghost's body was due to battle-wounds. There honestly being nothing wrong with that in the Lopunny's eyes either~. It was then that a on topic, but awkward question was presented to the bipedal Pokemon and it look him a moment to answer. Granted at least Nik made his sound a bit nicer rather than coming straight out with "You don't look very fit for fighting..." "Well, uhm, yeah. I do more paper pushing than anything else for the guild I guess. There are plenty more experienced fighters that could handle anything that comes up. But then again 'anything' has been happening a lot lately... So I'm pretty useless." He started out vague on his own job description but it only ended in self pity. At least the Banette gave him something to work with to change the subject quickly. "Hot drinks you say?" He grew a smirk as he waved down a waitress Miltank. "I'll have one Hot Chocolate." He ordered figured that this would leave an opening for them to meet again and he may compare this drink to what Nik claims he could make.

NikolasNik couldn't help but smile. "Wish we had someone to handle that at Rebirth. It makes for some long nights, trying to get paperwork done without Frost or Kenna setting anything in flames." He told the Lopunny, surprisingly smoothly. Jack was easy to talk to, like Frost. People like them didn't take long to warm up to. His smile shifted to a slight smirk at the mention of hot chocolate. He turned, watching the waitress as she took Jack's order, and waited patiently until the Lopunny was done before he placed his own. "Do you happen to make Cocoa-Wisp here?" He asked her quietly, his small, golden pupils fixed on her. She nodded slightly, and he smiled. "I'll take one of those, then, please." She simply nodded again and walked away. He turned back to Jack with a slight grin. "I was expecting her to say no, to be honest~" He chuckled shyly. "I-I'm almost impressed."

"Sorry, but I'm completely dedicated to my guild. Despite all the idiots that keep getting put in charge..." Jack joked as it seemed that he was almost being offered a job position through the Bannette's somber words. As for his note on his superiors, he loved them to death but he knew well enough when to speak the truth. It was then that their two drinks were returned and doled out respectively. Up to and including this point the Lopunny still had no clue what his company ordered either but he wasn't about to look idiotic by asking either. "You better be able to make a mean hot cocoa..." Jack noted after taking a sip of his beverage, as if giving Nik a challenge.

NikolasNik laughed, his grin wide at the challenge. "Cocoa? I think it can handle a cup of hot chocolate~" He replied, taking a sip of his cinnamon-traced hot chocolate. He felt the hot liquid slide down the back of his throat, eased by the soft whipped cream, and the drizzle of sweet chocolate. The cinnamon snapped at his tongue as it passed, tasting remarkably similar to the high-grade stuff one would use in a gingersnap cookie. He blinked, his expression fading. He gave a shy smile, and slid a tip over for the waitress, who, as she passed, snapped it up in an instant. They probably didn't get a lot of tips around here, if she'd grab it like that. "Tastes like it should." He commented, before turning back to Jack. "I guess it would be pretty tough, working with Solaris." He admitted shyly. "I mean yeah, he's a nice guy, but I get the feeling you don't get a lot of credit for what you do." The small, lopsided smile seemed sympathetic, somehow. If anything, it made up for the seemingly empty eyes the Banette wore upon his face.

Jack didn't contribute much to the small talk about hot drinks, being far more distracted with watching the Banette before him down the actual liquid. He had literally just seen the ghost type inside and out and was pretty sure there was no room or reason for the hot cocoa in question to not soak through the cloth... Once the line of conversation changed though, the Lopunny perked up to full attentiveness and drew his thought process away from such perplexing concepts. "Well the guy has a lot on his plate. I don't really blame him for anything other than proving himself to be an idiot over and over. Gotta' love him to death though; if he wasn't pink and fluffy the whole kingdom would have probably given up on him by now." He ranted out lightheartedly. "What about you?.. I mean it has to be more rough transitioning between guildmasters. At least you guys had the ability to continue on; we've had to take in quite a chunk of members from the old Moon Guild after recent events."

NikolasNikolas shrugged his shoulders as the Lopunny spoke. "I don't think it's just because he's a little pink and fluffy; I mean... he's one of you. He's your guildmaster. Whether you respect him as a leader or not... I don't think any of you would turn him away if he needed you." He replied quietly, sipping his drink again. "As for the old Moon Guild... They are your guild already. They never stopped being a part of your guild. All of them... They split off from the Guild of Eclipse, just like you did, in the Guild of the Sun." He looked up at Jack, his golden pupils fixing on the Lopunny's soft, emotional expression. "But when Selena came clean, came back... so did they. You're one again." "You're back to being the Guild of Eclipse; if not by name, then by heart."

Jack let out a low growl before conceding with a sigh of defeat. Despite the mushiness, Nik was right. Maybe he cared a little bit more for his guildmaster than he thought he did. Afterall he practically was raised by Solaris himself... "Fine, I guess I'll give you that; but it doesn't change the fact that one of these times he's going to end up getting us all killed." Jack ended the topic firmly by stating his thoughts before moving on to the next problem presented. "I don't care what they're called now honestly. I'm not one for sharing the same living quarters with people that tried to kill me and my teammates in the past on a regular basis though." He spoke on the topic of the 'Moon Guild' which undoubtedly he still seen as two separate entities. He was relatively young when the guilds originally split so it was natural for him to stick with what he had grown up with all this while. Change was one of the hardest things for the Lopunny to accept.

NikolasNikolas looked up at Jack, his golden eyes fixed on his form. "That I can't argue on. He nearly got me killed, and I'm not even a part of your guild." He grinned sheepishly. "Frost, too. Boy; Kenna chewed us out good for that trip. She thinks the Pokemon from other guilds are all like Nico." The Banette sighed heavily as his grin faded. He listened intently as Jack spoke, his eyes darkening with the sheer sorrow he felt over the topic. "No one wins in a game of war." He quoted quietly. "It just kills a lot of people."

"Is it bad that I want to throw him in a dryer just to see him poof up?..." Jack found himself thinking aloud as the topic of his guildmaster remained in the air. "Aaand moving on." A suave recover changed the topic before any more strange looks could be given. "I guess you really can't blame your teammate for that. I mean with all the stuff going on you really don't know who to trust anymore." He noted with a sigh, feeling what he known to be a Ninetails' pain also in a way.

NikolasNikolas choked on a sip of his hot chocolate, merely due to laughing mid-sip. He managed to swallow it, coughing and sputtering as he tried to clear his airways of the hot liquid. "S-sorry... J-just p-pictured S-Solaris in a dr-dryer..." He stammered, biting his lip so that he wouldn't laugh. He felt horrible for being amused at all! "I-it m-might be a l-l-little bad, y-yeah..." He scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. As Kenna was mentioned, he shook his head. "I guess it's natural for her to think that, but it's only because she doesn't trust people in general. It took a lot for me to earn her trust when we first met. She and I were in training together; we were going to become guards to the royal family. Guess we didn't change careers very much."

TEAM NIGHTFALL
 Kyanto and Shimmer
The Dratini kept dragging the small pup with her, smiling contently as he scrambled to try and break free. They approached the cafe as she set the Eevee down on one of the chairs, giggling.
"Now, Kyan, I think you'll stay here while I go do a little inventory spending~!" She said as she slithered away, her golden eyes glowing brightly.
"Sh-SHIMMER!!! Dang it..." The small blackened Eevee cursed under his breath, looking around and sighs.

"Sorry about that..." Jack apologized for sharing his inner-mind-theater as he proceeded to hand the Banette a napkin just in case things got messy. Strange enough though without even cracking a smile the Lopunny managed to stay on topic; his train of though having a tendency to wander onto strange things like that a lot but nevertheless there was room for quick recovery. "As far as I've seen there's really no way she could have found something that would make her not trusting of you." He noted with a nod. Not really intentionally making it sound like that he was admiring Nik; in fact it was the exact opposite. If anything in his eyes the Banette was overly nice and couldn't hurt a fly. After having spoken the Lopunny finished off his own drink but shown no signs of a sudden need to leave, he was enjoying this conversation all too much.
Err, you alright there?" After what seemed to be a quick exchange of words between two unidentified Pokemon, a child was left unattended right before Jack's eyes. Or at least what he presumed to be a younger Pokemon considering the appearance of the un-evolved Eevee. Despite how much he really didn't care, the two obviously not being members of his guild or else he would have known them, the Lopunny still had to appear somewhat caring around his company.
