"I choose this assignment. So I could be here. Where I want to be but still do my job so I am not letting anyone down." Andros was quiet as he thought over what it was he was trying to express.
"I am like a police officer a bit. For my planet. So my main job is protecting people. So a lot of people both here and back on my planet need me to do my job because they are depending on it. It's so we can all live our lives happily and safely." He paused.
"Do you understand? I got to choose where I wanted to go. Where I wanted to do my work and I chose here. Here is where everyone I really want to keep safe is."
He shook his head. "Babies are fine. I like babies well enough. My job and babies don't mesh. I liked you as a baby. You were a fun baby. As was RoRo and Matty. I just don't want anymore babies. I have two and a half children. I don't need anymore."
"It's okay Alicia. She has questions. If she didn't I would be concerned..."

Allegra looked up at him confused more than ever. "You're a police man? I don't like Police men. They gave mommy a piece of paper and told her to go slower." Alicia slapped her forehead. "You have two and a half kids? How do you have half a kid? Did you cut it in two and you got to keep one part and someone else kept the other part?" She wrinkled her nose in confusion.

"Police man was just doing his job. Your Mommy should not have been going so fast. Especially with you in the car. When people don't listen to the rules they make things harder for everyone." Andros shook his head.
"It's a long story. One you wouldn't understand. We'll just leave the count at two and a half children."

Alicia looked at Andros. She was listening. "Had another kid hmm? Must be a little one if you're saying half. Come here baby. I think you have had enough for today haven't you."
Allegra looked from her mom to her dad. She didn't know what to do. So she just stood in the middle of the room looking from one parent to the next.
Piper just looked at Andros. "You had another kid?" It was obvious that she was worried, not for Andros, but for Alicia and Allegra. She knew that Alicia was probably pissed off thinking about him having another kid, especially when he had told her he didn't want anymore kids once and never wanted Allegra.

"No. Not exactly....I am partly responsible for the infant. I am one half of the guardian type relationship." Andros sighed.
"The infant....was grown from genetically engineered human DNA spliced with Andalite DNA. It is an project that a lot of research and work is being poured into." He rubbed his neck.
"These....infants....they are grown in tanks at an accelerated rate. They can not reproduce on their own. They appear human in every feature accept they are smarter, faster and mature more slowly." He paused.
"My DNA is one of the many DNA samples used in this experiment. As is Summer's and Orion's. Along with many other samples we collected. There is no way of knowing whether you are genetically related to any of the beings without testing which we are banned from doing because they fear it will interfere in us achieving the true objective." He took a deep breath.
"I have no way of knowing whether my DNA was used and I have offspring from this experiment or not but I do have a test subject but Summer hates when I refer to her that way. She is....for a lack of better term she is our adopted child. I suppose...."

Alicia was pissed. That was wrong. That was so so so wrong. She glared at Andros. She got up and quickly grabbed up Allegra as if he would use her in some evil genetic experiment on her. She wished that Andros had never come back. "You should have stayed gone!! You should have just stayed in space! Things were going great and now your back with little genetically engineered... THINGS! Go back to where ever the hell you came from with that skank and don't come near us!"
Piper's eyes were wide. That was extreme even for Alicia. But then again all Alicia had was Allegra and what they just heard it would make anyone freak out. It made her want to grab her kids and hold them close. "Ali chica calm down. I don't think its...." Alicia cut her off utterly. "They're experimenting on humans!! You heard him! You sat right there and heard him. He's not touching her ever!! You can hang around him all you freaking want but he's not coming close to her!! She's all I have and Im not going to let anything happen to her!" Piper understood what she was saying. Ali would calm down sooner or later but right now it was a bit much especially when he was talking about Summer. It was a known fact that Ali had tried to be nice to her and Summer had slept with Andros while he and Ali were married. Now, Ali hated the girl and not much would change that fact. Piper looked at Andros as if to ask for help in calming down Alicia. He definitely was not the guy she had known.

"You all don't understand the basis of this project. I and Summer were very much against it. Until the research came back. It's a last ditch effort to fix or at least help some things. We aren't experimenting on people! It's DNA we have procured and we use a process similar to when humans grow their offspring in a test tube and then insert them into the female." Andros shook his head.
"I didn't expect you all to understand immediately. Not without the details."
He glared at Alicia. "I am going. I will keep away. Fine with me." He started to walk out then stop.
"Don't talk about Summer that way." Then he was gone.

Erebus followed Andros. "Andros... She doesn't understand. She's scared. Piper's freaked. They are both freaked out. Piper's a doctor now and is still quite freaked out about that. Alicia's threatened by you. Allegra is all she has and now your back here. She's not used to sharing Allegra. Thats what she's thinking about is Allegra. If you had no idea about any of this going on and then suddenly someone that you once loved came back and told you all that wouldn't the first thing you think about is your child? You would be doing the same and you know that. They've never heard of things like this. You can't tell them all at once. I can get Alicia to calm down but you know whats going on and they are going to have to know. You know this. I told you that this information was not going to be well received. They need time to grasp it."

Andros shook his head. "It's not about her having to share Allegra and you know that! She is acting like I am going to hurt Allegra. Leave I really want to hurt my own child." He rolled his eyes.
"Honestly...I don't care about their reactions. I don't need their approval to continue my work. They don't understand the why and don't care to know. So I don't care to explain it." He sighed.
"Erebus....none of the great scientist are ever understood. So I am okay with that. I won't have her calling Summer a skank though. She is my partner as well as my son's Mother. Same way I will not allow Summer to disrespect Alicia. I understand she's pissed because of that one incident however....Alicia did the same thing as well. In fact she repeatedly slept with a married man and was coming on to me as soon as Summer was out of the picture. Or we believed her to be out of the picture. So really....if you think about it....the marriage to Alicia is not legal. Since on Earth you can not have two wives...."

Erebus smirked. "Not to burst you bubble Andros but... Summer was legally declared as being dead. When Summer got back she had your marriage dissolved. So not the same thing. And the first time she threw herself at you she had a slug in her head. I like them both but I don't think either woman is going to be much into the other. They both dislike each other."
He looked at him. "Ok so you wont hurt your child, you know that but... Does she know that? You aren't the same person you were when you left. Its not something one can get used to in a matter of minutes. You're just going to have give her time. Especially if you want to get near Allegra like you said." He had to throw that part in to get his point across. Andros could be hard headed at times.

Andros gave Erebus his death stare. "The courts declared her dead but let's face it....they can do a single thing right. Secondly Summer doesn't care either way about Alicia. She hates the slug in her head. Which we all do so why does everyone think Summer is wrong for feeling what we all feel? Why? Because she is honest about it? Honest about her distrust?" He shook his head.
"No. I think Alicia is as big as a drama queen as ever. If she actually believes for even a second I could ever hurt my own child. Only way that could happen is if I was playing host to some parasite. Tell you one thing I would fight it with all I had to. So you know what she doesn't want me around Allegra fine. She can explain it to her. Erebus I don't care about that drama. Honestly I wanted to get to know Allegra but the drama from her parental unit is just mind-blowing. Some things never ever change."
He slipped his bag on and then fiddled with his 'watch'. "One thing about home....we don't have this sort of drama and I love it. I'm sorry she thinks I'm Dr. Frankenstein but I won't kiss her a** to see Allegra. She'll be an adult someday and capable of making her own decisions. So if she ever comes to me and asks why you weren't around well Allegra work and your Mother's paranoia kept me from you."
"Look over that program will you? I know it's not my usual neat work but it's a work in progress. E....also I want you to come. See some of the research. Let me show you the work we're doing. You will be able to understand and appreciate what it is we are doing."
"I'll be honest with you. I love both Ali and Summer. I can't decide and won't decide. Nor will I hurt either of them. So I have long since decided to just remain alone. Summer was my first love. She is the Mother of my son. She had sacrificed a great deal to be the person she thought I wanted her to be. Had she not disappeared I would have remained with her. Alicia I love because she is sunny. A warm person. She helped me through some very dark times. We have the most beautiful little girl together. I adore them both. Alicia and Allegra. I don't want the drama. I don't want the fighting. I can't have them both. It's not fair. So I take comfort and pride in the fact I want two of the most amazing children with two of the most stunning, brave, lively, smart women there is. I don't regret either of them. Just that they both got hurt."
Andros sighed. "It's one of the thinks I thought about long and hard. They were both my wives at one point in time. I think in both instances....if one little thing had been different in both situations things would have been completely different. I would have remained married to either of them. When Alicia is calm and thinking rationally she is great to be around. When Summer is her true self she is great to be around." There was a beep and he straightened up.
"Have to go. They've returned to base. We need a meeting. They will brief me on what they discovered while I was out on this social call. Oh and another thing. Don't worry, you can assure them both Orion and Summer will not come around here. They have agreed to keep their distance. To steer clear of the whole family."

Erebus looked at him he laughed. "You always forget that she has had that thing out of her head for years. I doubt you've told Summer that."
He sighed. "She's no drama queen Andros. She's worried and its a lot to take in one day. She'll come around and you know that as much as I do.
"I will try to look at it but when Ali is working we watch Allegra. When Allegra and Taylor are together you've got trouble. You should come see."
Erebus looked at Andros. "Have you told either of them what you just said? It probably would help ease some hurt or betrayed feelings that they may feel. Besides you've missed too much of Allegra's life already. The kid acts the way you used to. Determined, stubborn, bull headed, brave, its hilarious because she does these looks and Piper and Ali just crack up laughing because they're faces you used to make when you didn't get your way."
Erebus nodded. "I will let them know. Just give Ali time. She's been trhough a lot. Actually you probably be glad to know that she can no longer cry. When they fixed her head for some reason it got rid of her ability to cry. Later man." He clapped Andros on the arm.

"I've told Summer. Which is fine with her. She has a great many issues to deal with without guys complicating things. She's fine with the only man in her life being Orion. I hope Alicia is happy with Alicia being the most important person in her life." Andros shook his head.
"Summer doesn't trust her. To be honest she doesn't trust anyone really. She went through a lot and she is....dead. Only way to describe it. Not that that matters."
He shook his head. "Erebus....I hate this human drama. I really do." He walked off. He had a great deal of work to do.
It was much later. Nearly three days later. Finally the 'family' ventured out together. The girl in the stroller. She seemed unusually alert and her interest in everything around her was intense. Even as a baby she seemed to be taking everything in and processing all this information.
The small group were walking down Main Street. Heading toward the park then mall. Exposing the child to common everyday setting and behaviors.

Alicia and Allegra were walking down to a restaurant not far from downtown. They were talking and laughing. Alicia looked chipper than what she had been when Andros had come back. Yeah she over reacted and she knew that. It actually made her feel badly about it.
It was Allegra that saw them first. Well she saw her dad, the other people she didn't know at all. "Daddy!!" Her hand went flying a million miles an hour. Alicia merely smiled. The situation was totally weird.

Andros looked around and then spotted Allegra. He waved back and started toward them. Summer and Orion continued walking. Leaving Andros to his other family.
He stopped and smiled at Allegra. "Hello. Enjoying a nice walk?". He was wearing jeans and a long sleeved shirt today. His hair messy and carefree looking.
