Running outside, she ran over to Lance and Kain. Akita quickly brushed some of the snow off of Kain once he'd gotten up, "It's alright Kain, it's only Lance. He means no harm." Turning her attention to Lance she gave her ears a slight flick, "Miss Vempyremon hasn't come back yet..? I was worried about that.." Stepping towards Lance she gave him a hug. Even being away from the two of them she still felt like a second mother. "Kain, Lance is going to be coming in for a little bit. He and I need to have a little talk.. It seems things aren't very well back at the manor.." Carefully she took Lance's hand to lead him into the house, "Come on in Lance. Kain love, could you make some tea?"

Lance didnt budge until Kain moved back into the house, but Kain didnt move either until Lance moved. Kain's intimidation technique was working and made Lance feel even more stressed out in a way. In a way, he DID run away from home like Vempyremon did, but not very far. He missed Akita and wanted to be in her presence, but it seemed as if Kain wasnt going to allow that. The tears nearly streaming down his face didnt even crack open a soft spot in him; like his heart of ice. But Kain finally moved aside out of Lance's way so he could get inside. Kain would have followed, but he decided to stay outside in the cold, snow already up to his knees. It was a wonder they could have even gotten the door open. Lance hurried inside, shaking from the cold and the cold streams on his cheeks. "I could make you some tea..." He tried to wipe them away, but more kept coming. He didnt know which was worse; dealing with Devri or dealing with a missing mother and a father going insane.

Akita raised a brow at Kain who had stayed outside, "Alright then. Stand gaurd out there.." She turned her attention back to Lance and shook her head, "No no Lance, you need to sit down and relax.. The tea can wait." Wrapping her arms around Lance in a tight hug she stroked his hair softly. "For the sake of everyone I hope your mother returns soon.. I'm sure the large amounts of snow that have been falling haven't helped any.." Stroking Lance's cheek softly wiping away his tears she lead him upstairs to the room with the fireplace in it and seated him on the sofa. "I know Kain may be a bit intimidating at the moment but.. he's only trying to protect me and the children so please just bare with it.." She moved her empty glass from earlier and held up the place to cookies as she sat beside him on the sofa as if offering him one. "Right now just worry about calming down alright? Once you have we'll be able to talk properly."

Lance allowed himself to be dragged around, for he he didnt have much to do at the moment. He felt much calmer being with Akita, but he was still in some sort of distress. The warmth of the upper floor felt grand against his snow frozen body, but snow still lingered on his clothing and his hair. To shake it off, Lance decided to shake like a dog; snow flying everywhere like confetti. At least he decided to do it before Akita sat down. Now that they were both settled, Lance looked at the cookies as they were offered, but his appetite didnt feel too up to it. Of course, he ended up taking a cookie anyway and breaking it in half to only eat that half. "I cant believe my uncle can be so optimistic. Optimism is a good thing, but I dont understand his. I just..." Lance could hardly swallow down the rest of the cookie and just kept it in his hand until he did. Until then, like old times, Lance decides to lean himself over and put his head in Akita's lap, trying to fit himself there like he used to when he was younger. He still tries to cover up his sniffling. "I miss you, Miss Akita..."

"I always thought your uncle was a weird one but.. if anybody knows your mother best it'd be him right..? I mean.. they are siblings." Akita signed, knowing her own brother knew next to nothing about her to it was a very high probability that Arist knew next to none.. The same with Lance and Devri, the two were always so busy fighting they probably didn't know very much about one another. Akita watched as Lance rested his head on her lap and reached down to pet his hair. She missed them.. she really did. Her ears sank down like a sad puppies would as she sat there petting Lance's hair softly, "I miss you too Lance.. I miss all of you back at the manor.. It's taken quite awhile to get used to the silence of it here.. but.. I am in the company of my mate now and we are expecting a family.."

With what little space Lance had on Akita's lap, he shook his head slightly and let his hair fall in front of his face while he tried to squeeze himself more into Akita's lap to get warm. His body still shuddered with cold chills from the post-cold weather from outside. "It's surely not the same anymore, though... I still would like to come by and visit. You know...This is the longest time I've spent away from study." The more Lance thought about it, the more it made him give off a silent laugh, even though it was pretty sad. Lance should get out more, but now it felt as if it werent an option to stay inside or not after he made such a fool of himself. "...You didnt hear about that, did you, Akita?"

She couldn't really help but let a small giggle slip at Lance's statement about this being the longest he's been away from his study, "You silly boy. Look for some kind of company, go out for a walk. Heck, Zeki is your assistant, you and here can stop by and visit together, she pops in herself every now and then before going home for the night so there should be no problem if you went with her. It isn't unusual for a Royal and a Commoner to be seen together out in public, right?" She wasn't trying to set the two out on a date or anything, just trying to suggest company that she knew Lance got along with. Asking him to go out with his brother for a few hours would be like asking a blind man to see. Akita shook her head in response to Lance's question, "No, I've not heard much news as far as anything relating to those in the manor.. Did something happen?"

"...No. Nothing happened." Lance silenced himself about whatever happened that day, not wanting Akita to feel disappointed in him too. He just tried to cuddle up more to Akita before he was stirred by loud boot noises heading up the stairs. It was Kain holding two cups of what looked like hot chocolate instead of the tea that Akita requested. Of course, one was for Lance, which was definitely unexpected to him. He still thought Kain wanted to gut him by that move earlier. "Oh...I...I dont..." Lance tried to think of a way to politely turn down the cup of hot chocolate, but there was whipped cream on it, and that was ever so tempting. He didnt want to get up off of Akita's lap, though. It was either the lap or the chocolate. Finally he sat up and took the cup from Kain while the other cup was for Akita. Before Lance could take his first sip, there was another knock on the door that made Kain crank his head in the direction of the stairs so his ears could move to the direction of the sound. "Oh...Miss Akita, perhaps you should get the door this time..."

Akita gave a soft sigh at Lance's answer, she could tell something had happened, she wouldn't pressure him for an answer though. When Kain returned with the cups of hot chocolate Akita couldn't help but giggle, "Of course it'd be a sweeter drink when it's something from you. Thank you very much." She took the cup carefully from Kain and took a small sip from the glass, a bit of the whopped cream getting on her lip which she licked off, "Yum!" Her ears quickly flicked to the sound of the door, "Kain love, you wait here with Lance. I will indeed attend to the door this time." Getting up from her seat she made her way downstairs. Setting her hot chocolate down on a small table beside the door she opened it to greet whomever was there, "Hello, how can I help you?" She questioned politely as she pulled it open.

Lance kind of regretted the idea now, feeling helpless and vulnerable in Kain's presence. His ears drooped before he tried to hide himself behind the cup of hot chocolate, sipping it very slowly. Kain was just standing there, though, not doing anything to Lance. Lance jumps, however, went Kain reaches a hand out to quickly steal some whip cream from his cup with a finger. He shoves his whip-cream covered finger in his mouth and turns around, in the other hand he help behind his back, there was a bag of marshmallows for anyone who wanted marshmallows in their drink. The bag was already open as Kain has eaten some before he even walked up the stairs. For some reason, Lance felt a little less threatened.
As the door was opened, a hand quickly went for Akita's hand to lift it up and kiss the back of it, rather gentleman-like as a tall figure about as tall as Kain stood at the doorway. "Why, hello. Guten tag? Bonne journée." No matter which language he said it, there was still a very, very faint German accent with it, almost reminding Akita of a special someone, yet he spoke perfect English. "So, I've heard that my brother resides in this house of expectancy." Like the exact opposite of Kain, this guy was a bright orange, giving off a warm presence as opposed to Kain's spine-chilling presence. "...May I come in? This cold is rather daft."

Akita gave a soft gasp at the kiss on her hand as she carefully looked over the guest at the door, "I.. I guess it;s a good thing I didn't let Kain open the door again.. He'd have roadkilled such a polite guest.." Realizing she was simply standing in the door babbling she quickly gave a shake of her head, it was cold. "Oh! Yes please please come in! The weather out there is only fit for Kain!" Stepping out of the way carefully she made room for the guest to step inside. "I'm sorry if it's a bit messy.. If Kain would let me clean a bit more it would be otherwise." Despite her words though, the house could almost be taken as spotless.

As Akita closed the door after their "guest" entered the house, the guest was already gone to the upper floor. That is where there is a loud bang as if someone had been tackled to the ground. The first immediate thought is Kain attacking the guest; his own brother. But it was the brother that knocked down Kain, only to defend himself from Kain who had originally, and quickly, tried to attack him first. As Lance shrieked and held his cup still, he bolted off the sofa and avoided the two, but the brother had no intentions of hurting the other. "Oh calm down, Kain. I'm here with a present: Myself. Unwrap me." As if not noticed before, the brother was covered in red ribbon. If not noticed, he points to it and tugs on the bow tied around his waist. "Lady Vempyremon sent me as a present from her to you."

"HEY!" Akita called out to the two, "You're going to send Kain through the floor if you keep it up." Taking not of the ribbon Akita tilted her head, "Miss Vempyremon send you..? You know where she is?" Akita's ears perked up to the hope of hopefully returning her back to her family sometime soon. "Lance, are you alright dear?" Akita peeked over at the boy having heard him shriek at the sight of the two brothers 'warm welcome'. "So.. You two are brothers." She looked back and forth between the two trying to figure out how the two of them could look like such opposites.

Kain growled and got up off of the floor just to go after his brother again with his hands at his neck. There was definitely some horrible chemistry between the two, but Kain was the only one that was being hostile towards him as his brother was just trying to defend him off.
"Of course we are. It's a long story. Urgh." He grunted while trying to ward his brother away from his neck. It was a wonder how anyone could even ward Kain off anyway, but Abel knew his brother's weaknesses. He grabbed Kain's arms to lock him in place while a foot came underneath Kain's legs and tripped him onto the floor again. He straightened out his collar and stood away from Kain just in case he tried to make a grab for his leg. "All in short; he doesnt like me, but yes, I do know where Vempyremon is." Abel made a wave to Lance to come back to the couch and the small group that gathered in the middle of the room. "She left to find me and request my presence here. I thought that we may spend time together again, as brothers. Without all the hatred? As for Lady Vempyremon, she should be on her way back, if not back already...then...I'm not really sure."

"Maybe Lucus can finally calm himself down then.." Akita eyed Kain carefully, "Now Kain, even if you don't like, he is your brother and uncle to our children." Akita shook her head and said, "You can deny it but he's part of the family. He's quite the gentleman anyways!" Akita smiles and pet her stomach, having met her mates brother she wondered what kind of personalities the young ones would have. When it came to herself though.. she hoped Acheron would never show his face. Family or not.. "Lance, that means she should be there by the time you get home when you leave." She looked at Lance and gave him a warm smile.
Back at the manor Lucus had left himself laying on the floor in the sunroom. Peering out the huge windows into the vast field of snow that the windows looked out to which would normally be a vivid green colour in the summer.
